Exactly. You need to hit those disks and sort them in a correct order. Like, 6 should be the first disk at 22 0, 3 the second one at 24 0 and so on. I take the disk that has number 6 on it as our example. It is located at 34 0. You will go to 33 0, face right, hit it with your short sword or what ever which does not pnetrate, Then you go to 23 0, face left and hit the disk at 22 0. They will replace by each other. I mean the disk that has number 6 written on it will be at 22 0 and the disk at 22 0 will be at 34 0. Hope this helps.

Yes of cource, for handling movements based on angle i understud how can i do it with the aprone's coding tutorial, but my problem is playing sounds when the player moves exactly 1.0 from their previous location that the footstep sound was eard, for example every 1.0 that any axis increases. You know any math formula to handle it?

update: episode 5 and 6 completed, that means I've just beaten the first season of the game.starting from episode 5, the game becomes a lot easier, cause in this episode there's not much walking around, just choices and some QTE's.in episode 6, there are 2 parts that are actually quite hard for us. first, it's at the part where mira forester is in a prisoner's cell. what you have to do here is to walk and look around like usual, and then nearing the end of that part you have to look at something when you walk, then you have to use your right analog stick while pressing the triangle button.after doing that 2 times, now you have to press the X button while pushing the right analog stick. she'll comment that something is lost for the dor, then after she says that now you have to press the square button to talk to the prisoner and the story will continue.second, it's at the part where you have to take someone's heart. her
 e, you are given a dagger to open the chest. so for that, use your right analog stick and press the X button until the dagger hits it. once done, you have to gra his heart while he is still bleeding. what you have to do is hold down the X button and then drag the left analog stick until you grab it.other than that, it's nothing special, just stories and some fight with the dragons and the whitehill soldiers.

I used VIPmud for about 2 hours last night.  I have not gotten into any of the advanced features, but I can say that it is a lot easier to set up than Mushclient.  I am not planning on buying it though, and the constant reminder that I am not using the paid version is very annoying.  I think that it would not bother most people and that it is definitely a good point of entry for folks that don't like tweaking things to their liking and prefer having a thing work right out of the box.With that said, there are a few features I wish to implement in Mushclient.  W will be using zMush since it is already set up rather well.  The issue I have is that I don't know what all the plugins do and if you add the wrong one (even if it is just to the list without actually enabling it) you get an error.  Therefore I think a rundown of the essential plugins would also be necessary to add to the guide.When using VIPmud I really liked being able 
 to switch between input and output by pressing TAB.  In Alter Aeon I used to press ctrl and tab to switch to a notepad window which had all the output copied to it.  Which plugin provided that feature?Also, I use NVDA with eliquence  at about 60% speed.  How fast would you recommend I put it in order to be able to keep up with combat in faster paced games?

There are a few ways. If the position is a vector, you can store its length before the movement, and compare it to afterward. Or you can keep track of the distance traveled, and when it reaches 1.0, play the sound then.You can tell when the integer part of a double has changed multiple ways, such as if(floor(oldDistance)!=floor(newDistance)).

Dark, yes I know a little about depression, and I never intended that my advice should be used immediately, though I can definitely see how it could have appeared that way.From what both Shrike and Caccio72 seem to be saying, perhaps they need to speak to psychologists or other people who know a lot about their vision impairment and who are able to help them adjust to it and overcome the issues that they are experiencing--help that we are not qualified to give and not physically able to give over this forum.

Discrimination is a touchy subject, and I'm not sure everyone has the same definition in mind when discussing it. Regardless, America is vast and contains multitudes, so discrimination in San Jose, California will differ from discrimination in Kissimmee, Florida, which is different from Golden Hills, Minisota. If you ask 3 Americans about these things, you'll get at least 4 different answers.I mean, Baltimore was the site of riots in response to police discrimination a couple years ago. It's also where the National Federation of the Blind has their National headquarters. Little Rock, Arkansas was home to the Arkansas School for the Blind and the World Services for the Blind (formerly Lion's World) vocational program (until the federal hiring freeze broke the latter). And Texas is bigger than many European countries and has an economy comparable to Germany by itself. It'd be easier to throw darts at a map and discuss the major cities nearest to where

I don't quite agree. Do you remember last year's Presidential election? It was not a clear victory during the early hours of the election as it would be if the people were of one mentality, but it took many hours for Donald Trump to emerge as the victor.Also in Britain, although the country voted to leave the European Union, it was not a 100% yes--0% no vote, or even close to that.This is why we have democracy and freedom of _expression_ (being allowed to write and say whatever one likes) in so many countries now--giving people the right to voice their opinion so the country and its people are not of a single mind.

I am currently using windows 10 and use ie as my browser and its definatly not the same as using it with windows 7.I am waiting for my cousin to reformat my pc, he says he has a windows 7 installer that does not prompt you to update to windows 10. Whatever this is, it seems to be related to responsive design of this forum somehow. What your describing is something I get when accessing the forum on iOS. While I haven't been able to see the additional user info, I can expand the navigation area by clicking on the "audiogames.net forum" link at the top of the page so this may work for you on IE. Also, go into your display settings and make sure your screen resolution is set to its highest option supported by your laptop/monitor. If it's too small it may cause the forunm to think you have a small screen and switch to the mobile format. Failing that, consider  switching web browsers, probably to firefox as it has a similar menu layout to IE's and every screen reader now supports it just as well unless you're extremely out of date. Downgrading to Windows 7 just because of this issue is definitely overkill IMO, as Windows 10 does offer some advantages, including under the hood improvements to thi
 ngs like UIA that make screen readers more responsive in some applications, that's beside things like the awesome OCR engine that NVDA will support in the next version along with the image description features coming to Narrator in the fall update.

Recently, I got the chance to travel on both the Airbus A380 and the Boeing 787. I will describe some things about both planes. The Airbus A380 has to be my favourite aircraft now.I got two flights on each, both within hours of each other and both on extremely new aircraft (I think the first A380 was delivered to the airline less than a month before my flight). One thing I noticed as soon as I stepped onto the A380 was how quiet it was. As we were taxiing on the runway, I could not stop myself from thinking, "Shouldn't it be louder? Are all four engines really running?" I could barely feel it moving along the runway ... and then we were in the air. Still quiet. In fact, during the whole flight, it barely got louder. I was even able to sleep comfortably for several hours. But when was the quietest point? During landing. The engines were almost inaudible on that first flight. On my second flight, the aircraft was slightly louder, but I still slept comfortably f
 or longer than I have ever slept before on a plane. (Both flights were night flights.) Its quietest point was just after landing as it was sliding to a stop before being towed to the gate.And now to the 787. It was definitely louder than the A380, something that I was not expecting as I had read online that it would be even quieter inside the cabin. The rumble of the engine was very distinct, though it was mercifully not nearly as loud as an A320 or 737. On my second flight, I was seated next to a window. The windows on the 787 are significantly larger than you will find on most other aircraft (some new Airbus and Boeing planes have larger-than-we-are-accustomed-to windows). There are several options for tinting the window that you can adjust by using an upp-and-down button just below each window. When the window is dimmed, blue gel solidifies over the window, but even on the darkest tinting option, the window is still not opaque (you can still see the sun). Unlike on other a
 ircraft where the windows are recessed into the walls of the cabin, on the 787, the windows are part of the wall, meaning that it does not curve so far inwards as on other aircraft. Airlines have reported two problems to Boeing about it: the gel takes too long to appear and disappear after pressing the button to tint or de-tint the windows; and heat comes through the window, making it very hot to touch, to the extent that at least one airline distributes "window-covers" to passengers upon request that stop the heat from coming through the window into the cabin.Both are great aircraft. When we first get lost, we don't have much a chance to know where we are or how to progress. There is not much a point in making a guide, if people just get stuck like I am, and have been for very long time... I do want to point out that when it comes to planes and helicopters, watch out! I could really care less about cars, unless they are the really, really old ones, but aircraft? I've flown in piston aircrafts like the Piper Comanche, the Diamond Aircraft DA40, and the Cessna-182 when I did my Sky-dive. The only turboprop I've flown in was another sky-dive aircraft which was a Cessna-208 Caravan. then of course I've flown in commercial turbofan jets. I've even got the chance to check out the cockpit of a Southwest airlines plane. I learned that most planes have a yoke. Imagine cutting off the top part of the steering wheel of your car. You're now left with a U-shaped yoke. Some yokes have two handles connected by shafts that is a full circle. . On the Piper Aztec I toured, the yoke was more like a U shaped in a square form. It had two handles connected at the bottom and open at the top. But in all designs, they pretty much work similar. They have trim tabs th
 at you either move with a pair of pliers, or with some electrical or manual means of adjusting the control surfaces. Most planes I've seen had stabilators, which basically means stabilliser and elevator combined in one. One interesting phenomenon I've observed was that when you first take off, the force of the wind pushes the elevator up, which causes the yoke or control stick to be pushed as far back as it can.I also learnt about the three main axes of rotation. Imagine drawing a line through the nose all the way back to the tail, and you rotate left and right along this line. That is called a roll, and it is achieved by moving the yoke or control stick left and right, which raises the aileron on one side and lowering it on the other side.  If you draw a line from left to right, from wing to wing, and you rotate the plane forwards and backwards, that is called pitch. It is achieved by moving the elevator of the tail up or down. If it is up, the tail moves down,
  which points the nose upwards. If the elevator is down, it causes the tail to go up, which points the nose downwards. You do this by pulling the yoke or stick back to pitch the plain back, or push the yoke or stick to pitch forward. These are the y and X axes respectively. Now, if you draw a line from the top of the plain all the way down, and you rotate in a pivotal manner, that is called yaw. It is achieved by moving the vertical rudder with your foot pedals. That is called the Z axis.Now, if you've read about the Bernoulli's principle states that all fluids rushing over an uneven surface will create a current that is independent of the fluid rushing beneath. Let's examine one of the wings of an air glider or sailplane. Notice how the back end of the wing is very skinny, but the front part is very fat? Do you also notice that the top part of the wing seems to be rather slanted? It goes up from the back all the way to the front. But if you look at the bottom, 
 it's relatively flat. So what this means is that when the wing is pushing against the wind, it causes the current to be split. The wind rushing atop the wing is moving back and down, while the wind on the bottom is only moving back So notice what happens. The flow on top is going by much more quickly than the flow on the bottom. this creates less pressure being pushed on top, which causes the greater amount of pressure on the bottom to push up. This is creating a force called lift. So in short, if you want to know which part of the plane is moving, the leading edge always goes first. The leading edge is the fatter part of the wing, and the trailing edge is the skinnier part. by applying changes to the shape of the wing, you can use the ailerons, which move independently from one another, and in some planes, the flaps located inward, which move together. In some gliders, you have slats or spoilers which act as brakes to slow you down.Now, propellers work pretty much the sa
 me way. The leading edge always turns into the wind, which creates thrust. You can change the RPM by pitching the angle of the blades as well. P-factor describes the phenomenon when a plane's propeller pushes in one direction to get trust. If we are facing the propeller, and it is spinning left, the force of the turning would cause the plane to want to turn right, because of action equals reaction. so you have to have a trim tab pointed to the left to compensate for this.I'm not going to go much into detail on turboprops, turbojets, turbofans and turboshafts, suffice it to say that they are pretty much the same in how they operate. The turboshaft operates a vertical rotor, which we'll talk about in a bit. The turbofan is simply a turbojet that drives a fan. So imagine the exhaust of the plane. All around it is a force of cold air blowing in a circle. In the middle of this cold air is the hot air from the jet. Hi!What does OIA stand for, You mentioned that it was something that comes with Windows 10. Also, I believe Windows 10 is the only operating system that lets you build 3D objects for use with 3D printers with the 3D builder app.Hmm, I'll have to try that and see if it works. Hmmm, this is odd since I'm using windows 10 and ie and have no problems. I have seen the issue where some things disappear from the forum, I had it both once on this windows 10 machine and on my old xp one but it was easy to fix, just go to the view menu and find the submenu for zoom. Set it to anything else, then set back to %125, which it should be on anyway. You could also try hitting f11 to get the window to full screen, then hitting it again. personally I have no problem with ie other than nvda's occasional slow down, and that improved considerably following the last Nvda update. I've considered Firefox but I'm  putoff by the bookmarks system, since I have a favourites folder with perhaps 13 years worth of favourites in it, all of which  is organized by many subfolders. While I know I can import favourites from Ie into firefox the first time I run it, the bookmarks system just looks overly complicated to use for 
 managing favourites, what with having to drag and drop and make profiles and what not with no easy ways to create subfolders or move stuff around as compared to ie where you can just use windows explorer.

Alight, time to be insanely jealous.I have a few good friends at an ARB, and they can pretty much, along with the MPs on that base, get me pretty much anywhere. I have, via a lot of form signing and strict guidance, been able to poke around everying from an F-18 to a C-5 and ridden in the ollowing:C-16, C-5, Fa/18, L-188 (cargo...no clue why the hell it landed though), B-17 and a CatalinaI have, under strict supervision, managed to perform the takeoff roll of a C-5 on a sim, I have crewed up on a B-52 in a high end sim with serving personnelll and managed to do the radios while hthe other guys did their stuff, and for the best one, I got into a C-5 for a poke around and was asked, hey, you want to do thet takeoff roll, by a pilot, and the technical sarge patted me on thet shoulder and escorted me to th re right seat. So...yeah, I was somehow able to perform the takeoff of a Galaxy and this was, bear in mind, one of the ones they didn't quiet down so it sc
 reamed all the way. Just reaching down and shoving the throttles orward, yep wasn't ready for the fact that thing sounds like iit's gonna break apart.The highlight of the flying though has to be this: The ARB near me has a yearly airshow. I got, via a few friends on the base, a call I figured was a joke, a 'hey, you wanna go ride with the Blue Angels', who are the USAF display team. Turned up expecting a joke. No, I got to go up in a two seaterr F-18, and II got offered the chance to fly it.I'm five ten, 100 pounds. Don't ask me how the hell they thought I could withstand seven G, but I flew it for a few minutes and just about went through the seat when the aterburners kicked in and the plane just about went into a cobra, so...yeah, that's my interesting flying experiences, sadly the guy I knew retired from the air force so I can't easily get back on that base nowbut I had fun while I could.Oh I've also hung aroun
 d aircraft mechanics and gotten the chance to try the full motion simulaotors the professsional pilots use. Here's a thing I didn't realize. At least in the sim, full motion rig, you can learn what things are by feel, the gear handle is different from the flap handle, and so forth so once I knew where things were by feel I could go down through a checklist with the captain telling me what and looking to verify I'd done it right. I wouldn't ever wanna do that on a real plane but for the sim, rig it was insanely cool.So yep, there's my flying experiences

UIA stands for UI automation. It's basically the successor to MSAA, Microsoft Active Accessibility. If you don't know what that is, it's the part of the operating system that applications like Screen Readers can use to figure out what's on the screen, rather than asking the video card which is how it used to work in the 90's. That's an oversimplification, but the main point is any updates Microsoft makes to UIA will have a large effect on how fast and well your screen reader performs, especially NVDA, System Access and Narrator and to a lesser extent JAWS or any other commertial Screen Reader.@Dark that's why I thought of the resolution thing, many new websites are now designed to adapt to smaller or larger screens, doing things like hiding their menus behind a button or moving things around. Many things can cause your screen resolution to be lowered, IE badly installed graphics card drivers or screen readers messing with video intercept s
 upport.As far as Firefox goes, no browser just exposes its favourites folder like that anymore. That being said, you can manage your bookmarks in the dialog in a similar way as managing them in Windows Explorer. You can drag them on-top of folders, but you can also use Cut and Paste hotkeys (CTRL+X/CTRL+V) to move them in and out of folders (I just tried this to confirm if it works). That just leaves backup, and you can do that in a few ways. You can copy your FireFox profile, or just use FireFox sync which will upload them to a private account that you can sign into on multiple computers or even the iOS Firefox app.Anyway, whatever works works I guess. Though there are probably going to be a lot of games coming out now using new Web API's that Internet Explorer just won't support (DarkDefender is one and I'm testing 2 more that will probably come out soon).Personally, I would actually switch to Chrome, but I'll freely admit that its UI is ve

@post21, when I said that I could not feel the A380 taxiing as much as other smaller jets, I would put it down to it being a larger aircraft. As a comparison, if you were walking and you came across a small rock, you would step on it and could feel it. But if you were travelling on a small bus, you probably would not feel that small rock because the bus having larger wheels

@Tensoon, separation of input and output windows is something I like in Vipmud and one reason I personally prefer it over mushclient, along with several extra keys such as ctrl space to find  in the entry window. The closest mushclient has to the two windows system is the "capture output" plugin which gives you a notepad window that you can alt tab to which records all the text from the mud. One handy function both clients also have is an ability to retype a command by just hitting enter on it. Inv ipmud you can do this by going to the output window, using up arrow to find the command you want and hitting enter (you can also do a word search with ctrl r if you need to but this is not as necessary), while in Mushclient you can do it by up arrowing until you find the last line with the command you wanted. This is handy if say your mining and keep having to type "mine ore" or something similar, since you can just hit up arrow and enter a 
 few times rather than typing out the hole thing. I don't believe mushclient has an ignore ascii feature though I could be wrong, I do have more experience with Vipmud than Mushclient since I find it over all easier to use, even though I do really like the MushZ client for Alteraeon. As regards speech rate it's generally a matter of individual choice, what voice your using and how fast you can stand things than any kind of hard and fast rule, especially because some are less forgiving in speed terms than others, and some muds have more or spammy combat. A good acid test to see if you need to raise the speed is to start a fight, listen to the speech then go down to the bottom of the screen  and hit up arrow to see how much new text is coming in. If your missing things you might need to turn the speech up. Btw, I! just learned something. if you go to tools and preferences in Vipmud and find the system voice, set it as screen reade
 r and make sure the "reat text entry labels" box is checked Nvda will read the boxes in the connect and character setup prompts no problem. god knows why this is unchecked by default, but it's nice to know it's not a bug.

And I was thinking about going to 25 2 to grind some levels and maybe raise my hp and stamina stat, but that would probably cause me to lose my healing items and speed drinks that i've been grinding for. Too bad the earlier stages get locked after finishing 24 4, so I can't get more healing items, speed drinks, stamina drinks, stun recovery items and armor, which I definitely need for 25 4, the launchers eventually end up launching more and more launchers until the map is filled with a crap ton of launchers and 100 enemies. Lol

I can't pass 25 4. There are simply way too many launchers in there, and they end up launching so many enemies that I can't keep up with them and the launchers, and I eventually die. Go for the launchers right away at the beginning of the game... and the game is designed to work like that, which is why it asks you to confirm if you want to continue to stage 25 so you can stock up on whatever you need. Though, in the room of 25-3 with the two elevators, there are plenty of item lying around... even a recover ring which you can only get once.

I had it set to screen reader, but I just left whatever else there was as is.  It is odd that it is unchecked by default.  I added the capture output plugin to my Aardwolf, but it does not open the notepad window automatically.  I have not played around with it much yet though, so I will see what I can figure out so that I can tell you how to add that part to the guide.  It seems to me that there are quite a few people that prefer Mushclient over VIP and I find it hard to believe that people would be so in favour of the client if it does not have a way to make it ignore ASCII.  ASCII is very annoying and clutters up everything.  I will also do some research on this and see what I can find.

It seems that I am wrong about the launchers spawning more launchers, I am now on 25 4 again and killed launcher after launcher, and I don't see any launchers appearing. Right now, I only have 1 launcher against me and a few enemies. I think I am going to win this, at least, this part of the stage.

I used the capture mud output and the current output plugins and the notepad window appeared and works.  I also read on an older post that typing cmo will open the notepad window.I came up a bit short on the ASCII thing though.  That is the only thing I have seen so far that might make a case for using VIP mud.  Although, I also have not tested vipmud's capabilities  when it comes to ignoring ASCII.  I will leave that to you Dark since you know the client and you have played plenty of MUD's.

@Orco, I don't know why but I was always told to leave zoom on 125, though I suspect that was for screen resolution issues that no longer apply.As to firefox yes, I don't see why it needs it's own complicated proprietory system when windows has a folder for storing urls that is easy to backup and manage anyway, hell, Firefox can open web pages directly from a|n url saved in favourites so I don't get why it won't let you  store stuff there yourself.I might try firefox at some point if indeed Pitermach is  correct about cut and paste working and the fact that the bookmarks can be managed, though again I'd be far happier if the program just worked logically without all this stupid business of  private profiles and such. Indeed generally speaking in most functions in windows I'm usually happier if I can manage things from windows explorer sort files myself, backup myself etc, one reason why I don't like the wa
 y the latest version of office handles opening documents with so many tabs and functions for one drive and other stuff I  need and it's about five key presses simply be able to browse for a file (again, far easier to do from windows explorer directly).

Well I am not sure how "ignore ascii" works, since I have seen ascii in other games, one reason I sight removal as ascii as one of the jobs of a developer, indeed I suspect the ignore ascii option only ignores some of the most common ascii in games. In Aardwolf you can get rid of a lot of ascii by turning off the automap and maprun options, indeed this is true in most muds since usually ascii is primarily used in maps and simply turning them off will do.Myself I like Vipmud for ease of access and the two windows system which makes retyping commands and  history easier, plus I like the way Vipmud handles multiple characters and muds with folders for sounds etc, but  it is to a large extent a personal preference thing with some people preferring one client and some the other.

But from the time before I lost my sight, the standard has always been no zoom, or normal, or 100%, depending on which terminology floats your boat, they are all the same.When I first started using the internet in 1996 or 7 I used Netscape, but between versions 4.5 and 5 it got really buggy so when I switched from the Windows 9x series to Windows NT with Windows 2000 Pro when it was released in 2000, I also switched from Netscape to Internet Explorer.Between then and now I've played with other browsers like Firefox, Netscape, and Opera, , but always went back to Internet Explorer because of its integration into Windows and how easy it was to manage. Internet Explorer has its own favorites manager just like Firefox has its bookmarks manager, but you can also use any Windows file manager to manage your favorites including Windows Explorer or File E
 xplorer under Windows 10. You just can't beat that kind of flexibility or simplicity.

It's good to see someone new who's interested in game development.As far as integrating libaudioverse (and just fyi, it's spelled exactly like that), it depends on what type of game you want to make and how that uses sound.As an example, if you are making a simple card game, you most likely don't need 3-d sound positioning, and will just want the ability to play sounds when certain things happen, optionally panning sounds and supporting varying volumes.This is probably the simplest usage of the library, and the reference manual has an example of how to load a sound and play it (as well as how to pan one); all you need to do is code your game so it follows the steps that the 'buffers and playing files' section of the manual does.Perhaps a more common example of a way you might want to use sound in your game is with a full 3-d environment; that is, where sounds can move in 3 dimensions around the listener. Games such as Swamp an
 d Road to Rage are examples of this, though I'm not sure if both actually use 3 dimensions.To accomplish this, you'll need to use an EnvironmentNode in combination with a SourceNode for every "thing" in your 3-d environment you want to play a sound.There are many things you can tweak that change how the environment sounds, how far sounds travel, if there is any reverb or other affects that are applied to sources, etc; I highly suggest you read libaudioverse's reference manual and python-specific notes for a good look at what it can do.Of course feel free to ask any questions here and I'll help if I can.Good luck!
