About our first rehersal!

I'm just gonna  paste what I posted on Facebook last night and then follow that up with my more sober (figuratively speaking) thoughts.this is what I want, this is what I need. This is what I've been dreaming about my whole fucking life and it's finally here. My life calling finally picked up on the other end and I fell in love. I can feel my heart racing, my blood flowing through me, thoughts swimming, and I'm an unstoppable fucking machine. A machine that needs oiling grant you, but a fucking mechanical beast none the less. I haven't done it for such a long time and I thought I lost all skill, but all I lost was motivation because there was no purpose to continue. Now my wishes have been granted. Something I've been dreaming about long days and nights, a dream that kept me alive for without it it would've tipped the scale in favor of my suicide. I don't have true friends, I have no one to call my partner, I have no educat
 ion what so ever; but I have her, lady music, the greatest honor of them all.That was how I felt after yesterdays rehersal. Sadly in the haze of it all I forgot to record anything, but there'll certainly be more times for that.I was exhausted after drumming for three hours, because my technique is trash and I'm not in shape. Loved the workout though.Since it was our first time playing together we tried to do a cover just to fresh up on our instruments but we realized it sounded like shit so I started doing blastbeats and all kinds of shit on the drums while our vocalists just growled and screamed fuck you fuck you into the microphones and our guitarist shredded some amazing stuff on the guitar. I'm surprised he was able to follow along so smoothly to nearly all of the shit I did. He's a very tallanted musician and our sync is just amazing.I remember having a few psychadelic moments where I zoomed out and my drums were so loud (because I d
 on't hold back) so I couldn't hear the rhythm, but my head tried to predict what he was playing. It got super interesting.Need a pair of headphones to block the noise though, at one point or two my drums were so fucking loud I could only hear white noise.Looking forward to playing again, we might do that later today, or they will but idk if I can come. I'm waiting on a call from my mom because we need to go to pick up my new ID in another town, but if she can get the friday off then we'll do it then.Well that's the news. Time to sit down and try and write some lyrics.

I pretty much agree with both Dark and Silver Moon here. Cliches, or in a broader scope, formulas are trend setting for a current era or genre of books, so it's not about using them that's good or bad, it's using them in a good or bad way.I think a lot of trashy teen romance novels (yes, I'm probably looking at you, Twilight) contribute to the whole let's hate cliches ordeal, but imho that's like saying I hate swedish food just because you've tasted Surströmming (I mean what sane person wouldn't hate our food after that?). But Surströmming is certainly not incompassing the scandinavian food culture or anything like that, just as a set of bad cliches aren't necessarily the representative of trashy teen romance novels.

So I just fixed my xbox earlier and helped someone else fix their's, so hopefully this should work for all of you. I know this does assume that you have somewhat of a default layout, sorry.First you might want to change the voice:Press the xbox button and make sure you're in the guide indicated by the swooshing sound.Go right 3, or all the way until you can't go anymore. Press down once and hit A.Go all the way down to the bottom (10 arrow presses down) and hit A twice.Go up all the way to the top (4 arrow presses) and hit A twice. There should be 3 voices you can choose from. The top one is David, second is Xera and bottom is Mark. Hit A on the one you want then press B.This will take you back to the bottom of the narrator menu, with the focus being put on the checkbox to turn narrator on or off. Just hit A twice and you should be good. Feel free to go change the voice back to the one you want after that.You may not even ne
 ed to change the voice, so feel free to experiment.HTH

Greetings everyone.  I am WintergreenKitty. So, I suppose for my introduction, I will just disclose a few basic things regarding who exactly I am, how I managed to find my way here, and what my intentions are as a member of this community.  Alright, well first of all, I am a sighted 29 year old Twitch.tv livestreamer based in the U.S..  I have played pro-level competitive Pokemon since Gen1 (the Red/Blue/Yellow versions).  I also played pro-level competitive Dark Souls for a little over six and a half years (though that is less relevant to why I am here).Now, in regards to how I ended up here, on Audiogames.net.  I've actually known of this forum for quite some time.  I have a friend who is, for all intents and purposes, blind (he has very little usable vision to work with).  He is quite interested in the wonderful world of gaming, but alas, due to his visual limitations, he is only able to play audio-based games.  I have actuall
 y stopped by this forum a couple times over the years, to see what offerings are out there that fit his needs (to varying levels of mild to moderate success).  However, this time around, I was very pleasantly surprised, with the discovery of Manamon.  Not only was my friend absolutely ecstatic about the prospect of an extremely high quality game that is accessible to him, but also, quite honestly, I myself have gotten more play-value out of the demo of this game than I have gotten from a large majority of Tripple-A publisher released games I've paid 60+ U.S. dollars for in these recent years.Finally, the section regarding my intentions here will be a bit more abridged.  I will be making a more detailed post where it will have a much higher chance of being seen by my target audience (a.k.a. on the Manamon thread).  However, one thing that I will mention here is that, in light of recent discoveries, I am very interested in incorporating audio-based game
 s into my livestream broadcast schedule.  I am quite impressed with how far these kind of games have come, and honestly, with games like Manamon, I feel like there is so much untapped potential here that can truly blossom if only more awareness was brought to this field.  Manamon is an excellent competitive-oriented game in design, and I honestly believe that, with a few tweaks and additions, it truly has the potential to go toe-to-toe with Pokemon in regards to eSports-level competitive game-play and balance.  I am also interested in any additional suggestions others my have of games I may want to consider adding to my livestream.  Now, I mean this in the nicest way possible, and certainly intend no disrespect here, but I am looking for games that are of comparable level of quality to Manamon. By that, I mean I need games that have a fair amount of longevity to them that I can really get invested in; not so much something I can polish off in a day or so, and tha

I managed to change the DNS IP you were talking about. The website I'm trying to get to is blinkwizard.ddns.net. It now says problem loading page, even though a friend told me that it was working for him. At this point, I'm assuming that Frontier must have had a miner altercation with DDNS.net, and thus has blocked websites ending in .ddns.net. Yet another reason for my hatred towards Frontier.

Then I found out that there was a thing that the radar saw that said it was like 90 seconds until collision, but it wouldn't tell me about what the enemy was. I guess that hasn't been translated yet. Whatever that thing was didn't seem to be moving though, or at least maybe it was moving really slowly since I do recall one time having the level end without me destroying that thing, but when I did destroy it, the missiles seemed to be blowing up the missile launchers or something, which finally calmed things do
 wn and soon the level was over. I am pretty confused at this point, but something is telling me that there's a secret to keeping those missiles from getting out of control. I'll get some sleep and work on it later. Does anyone know what this is about?Now my manual for 5-4:spoilersThe trick to this stage is knowing the pattern of the rockets and knowing what you can and cannot do. To start, I recommend slowing the game down in the mission settings, that helped me a lot and is advantageous for a lot of things in the game for your first runthrough.At least on easy difficulty (haven't tried other difficulties), the boss will ascend and descend a few times like the drill boss. When he wants to fire his rockets he'll warp to another place on the screen. I don't think it's the same place each time but I honestly haven't checked. In any case, he'll be paralyzed there while the rocket
 s are on screen. The rockets he fires are at somewhat random positions but do stick to a pattern: right side, left side, right side, pause, then the same thing again. After that he'll start moving again and firing missiles at you before switching back to rockets. None of the rockets he fires will cross center, but do not depend on trying to slip between them. That hardly ever works because their ranges have overlap.I prefer to be closer to the left side of the screen when the rockets are fired. That way you'll have a good chance of being clear of the right rocket. So stay on the left side as soon as the right rocket fires. The left one won't be long in coming, but despite that, stick to the left side until the right one goes boom. As soon as it does, hold right arrow to quickly get out of the way before the left rocket explodes. This is a time critical maneuver, so be quick! Head right until the left one booms. Now, the next rocket, which should be on the right
 , is dangerously close, so switch direction and head back to the left side of the board. This is just as time critical of a maneuver as the previous one. If you did it right, you avoided all three rockets! You'll have to repeat for the second set of three rockets. The boss is very vulnerable all the while, and I often find that the second set of rockets is more widely dispersed than the first, so you could very well pound away at him while the rockets are fired. Of course don't drop your guard though!Whatever you do, don't mindlessly go in one direction or get too close to the sides. IF you're too far over to one side you run the risk of not being able to move fast enough to get out of the way.

Hi all,So I bought Choice of the Cat, and for six bucks or so, it'a a very good game. I'm working on achievements now, and trying to get some "bad endings", as I think I've gotten most of the good ones.My last incarnation of the cat was rather aggressive, made the dog into a slave, terrorized a child, antagonized another cat, and still managed to be memorialized, so I'm kinda trying to figure out how to make bad things happen.And if anyone's got info about the achievements, some hints on how to unlock some of them, please do let me know.

So you can use the walk through walls cheat to literally take 7 or 8  steps and be in the next town! However, if you're the honorable type who would never dare use cheats like that, or if you just enjoy the challenge of the navigation puzzles, I remember using a game faqs walkthrough to help me get through it the first time around. @Raygroteyeah, what happens is the radar has 2 separate sets of tones. In both sets the lower pitched one is just like a general warning that there's something passing by, but it won't directly hit you. The higher tone is the one that means you're gonna get hit if you don't move, and there is indeed a hitting prediction for incoming angled projectiles.

I've been digging a bit more into the blizzard hacking [side of the fence] and it seems Warden actively monitors for code injection but can't detect passive memory analysis, although they can monitor other parts of memory it comes with some legal complications for them. For Hearthstone opponent cards aren't stored client side until played, and a few cards on the top of your deck are stored locally but anonymized. Obviously Blizzard doesn't condone any of it, but as far as hacks go there are probably far better ones out there already purpose built for it such that repurposing SoniFight wouldn't really be worth it.

I'm not a fan of these games or care to play them, but it's amazing to see that certain devs have taken the initiative in reaching out to the blind community and implemented accessibility to their game. Actually, Reaper now highly recommends that you use ASARA rather than ReaAccess. ReaAccess was discontinued most likely because it prohibited the use of itself on other OSes. (https://reaperaccess.com/tag/osara still recommends ReaAccess, despite it's discontinuation.) The problem with ReaAccess is it's impossible to download it now, officially at least, because it's website is no longer in English. Furthermore, ASARA is recommended because it's developed openly, unlike ReaAccess, and ReaAccess was abandoned. Using it is most likely a very bad idea these days.

Whoa, this game is cool! I hate stage 5-4 though. I've tried it at least 5 times now and end up getting killed so quickly. I wish there was a way to practice a level so I could get better at avoiding those bombs. Maybe you could do this with benefits and restrictions: choose your charge shot level going in, but no power-ups, no score afterward, no gems earned, etc. Strictly meant for practice purposes.I also prefer the camera follows your ship perspective, but I will admit the field perspective is very advantageous for the drill boss, and the boss of 5-4. I also find the radar obtrusive so I've reduced it to only making sounds when in danger of getting hit. I think in the 5-4 boss, though, you need the radar on at full. Or at least I do.My biggest problem is that when the camera follows your ship, the missiles often make the radar go off, but they're not in the center. I'm not sure if this is a prediction of the trajectory or what, but this does ma

Hey all,Like I say, microsofts antivirus software just deletes the .exe file with no questions asked. I can try turning it off, but from what I was told, defender will eventually turn back on again, then delete the file at the drop of a penny. I also saw that the tweeks no longer work like they used to in windows8, 8.1 and earlier versions of win10. I'll research this more, maybe there's another way of purminently disabling defender.Best regards,Rob

A Little Decoding Challenge

Sometimes we all get bored. Sometimes we play games, but sometimes we don't have computers handily available. Those times, we have to get creative.Thus, I challenge you all to a little contest.I've come up with (as far as I know) a new method for encoding basic text, and I'd like to see how long it takes for people with bigger brains than mine to figure it out.The details and a sample of encoded text are at:https://nightvista.net/decoding-challengeThe official challenge will run until the end of November, depending on interest. You want random (0, size-1), and size must be greater than 0.I typed the example on my phone, so haven't tested it yet.  reading it again, nothing jumps out at me as likely to break it. Have you tried it exactly as written? If it compiles, how many times did you run it without any change?There might be some number typo somewhere, but I still haven't found it.[edit] Yeah, I tested it, and it works perfectly on my computer. It took running it 5 times to get all 3 questions. Remember that for the random function, the first value must be smaller than the second value. Also, arrays are 0-based.[/edit]

Yeah for stage 5 I was just lucky enough to use the falcons max charge on the boss. Not sure which ship I like the best though, I'm really digging the bio creed just because of it's ranged attacks

The napalm shots are staggered timing, but they don't follow a set pattern. Generally the trick is to stay close to another one, wait until the next one falls, fly towards that to avoid the first one, then fly away from the second one. Also stage 7 is absolutely ridiculous.

I also didn't encounter such a problem in redspot unless someone send an NVDA crash text, and well, if in that case my game freezes, It's normal.The most annoying thing that I encountered is the horrible lag when fighting.

Hi.I will post comments as I think of things, since I have been playing this game for several months now.First off, let's talk about a few major game play pain points.Training the fighter:There are a few training drills that are difficult if not impossible to complete. I am referring to the quick strike training drill and the heavy bag hands and feet drills. Quick strike relies on a combo being displayed on-screen for a second or two, and the fighter must then use the displayed combo before the next combo is displayed. For example, the drill might show on-screen the command for a left uppercut, and expect the user to then punch using that left uppercut command. I don't even attempt this drill. Heavy bag hands and heavy bag feet are difficult, but I still manage to get a decent score. Basically, the punching bag will light up, either top or bot
 tom. The fighter then must punch in the area that is lit. In these drills, if you are punching in the unlit area, the trainer will yell at you. Only problem is that if you punch too many times in the unlit areas, you take a hit in your point total.Now, let's talk about take downs. Currently, it is not very possible to know when the opponent is attempting a take down, unless one gets lucky and it is pointed out by the commentary (not always the case). It would be helpful if there was some kind of rumble or audio feedback when a take down is coming. I have been able to block take down attempts, but it isn't perfect, especially in a fight that is going down to the wire. Submissions are also a sticking point. Basically, the submission game is a series of quick timed events. There are several gates on-screen, and the fighter must attempt to fill one of the gates befor
 e the submission completes. I can usually escape a submission attempt flicking the right stick left right up down left down up (basically lots of positions in an unpredictable manner). That usually works to trick the AI. This does not work however when applying submissions. I have yet to successfully apply a submission.Now onto things that I don't want to see removed from the game:The ground game is only workable now because of the controller rumbles. I can grapple pretty well, by relying on the types of controller vibrations as I am transitioning. I cannot, however, block opponent transitions, since there is a feature in the game that is preventing fighters from blocking transitions too early. So, without knowing when a transition is being attempted, I cannot even guess and attempt a block since it is most likely too early. One thing that got me time and time a
 gain is that the stamina bar is totally visual. When you start out as a created fighter in career mode, your stamina is really really really low! As a result, it is very easy to blow out your fighter quickly if you don't keep track of your stamina. I have developed some methods of gaining stamina back, but it took me lots of trial and error.I have already discussed with the UFC developer about wishing to know when a strike is coming from my opponent. I can currently block OK, but dodging is more of a problem, since right now, we don't know when a strike is coming and must guess. Of course, when one blocks a punch, they take a bit of damage to their limbs. If one can dodge a punch, they are in a better position to perform a counter-strike. I'm sure I'll think of some more stuff, but I wanted to quickly get this to you.Jeremy

Hello,This is not a mod for need for speed. This is a mod made out of need for speed sounds for another game. I did not use the sounds themselves, I recorded myself playing the game and used those sounds. I can still play need for speed as I have described.

SOmetimes you are just going to get intercepted. It is dependent upon your player's catching ability, which is dependent upon there raiding. I didn't go in to raidings, and there is a way to edit them, but It's a very time consuming process, and unless people clamber for it, well... I can see what i can do...

Also, your players will progress over time. This let's them develop naturally, though I know how you feel. I threw 5 interceptions against the dolphans on pro difficulty in play now live.

The newer versions of Samsung TTS don't have the ability to download HQ voices anymore, presumably because the contract between SVOX and Samsung had expired a long time ago. You used to have to download these HQ voices when you first initialized the engine. For example, when you first used Samsung TTS US English, a pop-up alert would show up saying that a high quality voice file for American English or whatever was available. If you clicked OK, it would take you to the Samsung Galaxy App Store to download these voices individually. Some languages had one male and one female HQ voice for each language. Starting with Android 6.0 I believe, they removed the option to download any HQ voices. You can still download voices, but they're low quality ones.

the white falcon's charge seems at least to me to just be a super powerful straight attack, it's good for finishing bosses quickly if you have a level 3 stage 5 and the napalm... I'm not too sure to be honest, though I somehow managed to beat it with a lot of buffs and a lot of gem grindingmy hypothesis is it kinda fires off 3 bursts, one left, one mid screen and one right at staggered timing, and you kinda have to weave between them but I could be totally wrong

There are several American English voice options.1. If you have Google text-to-speech (most Android devices come with that one anyway), there are American English voices available for that language, along with other dialects like Australian, British, and Indian.2. If you have Acapela text-to-speech, you will have to purchase these voices within the app itself for 3.99 Euros, which should be $4.54 USD. The available American English voices are Sharon, Will, Ryan, Rod, Tracy, Laura, Nelly, Valeria, Emilio, Karen, Micah, Saul, WillHappy, WillFromAfar, WillSad, and WillUpClose. There may be a few that I'm missing though so can't remember them all.3. If you have a Samsung device, chances are that you already have Samsung's text-to-speech system on there, as it's built-in to the device itself. It used to offer high quality voices, which came from SVOX thanks to an agreement between the two companies, but you can't get the HQ voices anymore, so 
 you're left with low quality voices.4. ETI-Eloquence and Nuance Vocalizer Expressive are also available on Android as well, but these voices are paid, with the latter having you pay $3.99 USD for a voice within the app, and Eloquence itself being $19.99 USD probably because you get the ten most common languages and you pay $2 USD for each language.5. eSpeak is also available if you want to get that, both free and paid versions.

Hi,Has anyone figured out how the bonus areas appear? It's quite cool when that happens, but I don't know how to trigger it. According to the manual each level has it's own conditions for triggering it, but it doesn't say how.

I think the white falcon's charge is more like a barrier. I have now got to stage 7 myself, though I have to say I only did it by buying loads of supplements and basically powering through stage 5. I am still not exactly sure how to avoid those napalm birsts since there doesn't seem to be a pattern when they appear on the ground and if your in the wrong place, booom!Still now it's stage 7, and yee gods it be crazy!
