The second Muffin tutorial is Simple Movement 2 ...I assume you mean one of the While tutorials? If so, which one? I really recommend you try to figure this out on your own, though. It's a tutorial, meant to prepare you for the rest of the game. It's quite important that you actually understand it.But anyway, in all of them, you first set up a while loop, and then any go forward and turn left/right commands inside it. So if I understand you correctly and you're putting in one go forward before making a while loop, that's wrong. There are cases when you'll have to put in commands after the while loop, but never before it.

Huw: That makes sense, no point to shoehorning in a new system without laying the supporting groundwork for it first.Walker: rar is probably the most common format aside from zip. I would suggest downloading WinRAR or seven zip in order to open it; both programs are very accessible and you should be able to do almost everything with the applications menu anyway.Just a warning, The Wastes is a cool concept, but the game is unfinished, buggy, and at times quite frustrating to use with a screen reader. It's also abandonware at this point, so I would not expect any of that to change anytime soon if ever.

Hmmm I have never brought anything from them, but I was getting some software from them, it stated 123 dollars nz.Cool, cheap enough but once shipping came in it was like 240 dollars.I know we have taxes but it makes anything simple fucking worthless if I need to pay just that.Worse they say they support paypal but only if you are in canada and the us so you need to use creditcard.

Well people are coming back, and we have 20 cases and climbing.Its estimated 8 of us are overseas right now and with all airtravel coming to a stop, a lot won't make it back.This bastard will take out the airline and cruise industries mostly airlines.All tourism, gone, sports and events, gone.Today I went out for lunch.Usually I would go to my local food court, and then to a mall for lunch, a good shop and a nice big coffee.I went with my mum to the court and had a big lunch.Its really quiet, and everyone is showing their manners and restraint at this apocoliptic time but we are not totally locked down just yet.One thing I have noticed with schools is that children go to school and I hear them go in.But there is no fitness or pe outside, no playing, nothing, they seem to stay inside.There are no children playing in the mornings and afternoons and now its really quiet, at night I can hear the wind in the trees and well its quiet.No loud music, and while a couple neighbours did some mowing earlier in the week not much.Oh well, if there is a pluss to this virus, I get a really good night's sleep, though, as I said, we are allready restricting our out times.Alergies are the bane of my existance.I know without fail I have a dry cough, runny nose, and headake each morning.I also know without fail that after some fruit, my tablet and vitimen c pill, my drops and puffer and sometimes an additional tablet I will be fine for most of the day if not all of it.I had to have my flue injections today and had to remember not to put any bag or anything on the floor or not touch seats as I sit down a thing I have been doing automatically for years.We have 20 cases now and climbing 8 more in 1 day 4 yesterday.Its not as big a jump and the government says as testing improves and people return its expected to climb a little.While I am not officially scared just yet I am taking a little more notice.Trips and such may be restricted to well who knows local spots and with my mum needing a knee replacement its getting harder and harder.We have a shortage of things allready, certain drugs and chemicals for example.Eventually if this continues much longer we can basically kiss travel completely good bye.This means no airline or anything and if public transport goes to we will be stuck in our own citties.After that, then its only a matter of time till we lose something in our infrastructure we can't fix.Then the bombs drop and it ends.Yeah I may be a bit into those old movies and I sort of do that to joke about but as things get worse and worse you start thinking back to those old movies and all the zombie stuff.In fact all we need are the zombies and that would be it.Most of what is going on does fit an end times profile according to hollywood at least.I know that some are ignoring isolation and getting delt with and so they should.At the same time good things are happening.Things like our fruit picking places and farms are trying to employ locals and anyone stuck here that needs the cash.I can see some selfish people but there are bits and pieces of things going on.Some music bands are giving away digital music for example.

I need some help too. I went to the Chillingham stadium, but before I can fight the stadium leader I need to run a perilous marathon. I did that, and even managed to avoid being randomly teleported to the grizzly gulch, all the while being chased by a tomb hunter. So after that I'm in this room where I have to move the stones around so they spell "pip install lucia," but when I do that, the door opens, and I'm immediately attacked by Supreme Commander Ather, and let me tell you, that hyper hunt does not go well for me unless I'm missing something obvious? Was there something I needed to pick up in the chicken coop? Or perhaps while I was entombed in the lava lake I needed to call a hero to steal the shades of doom from Eleazar? Or should I just go Beep and call it a night?

I have found that simply pressing start when prompted to enter a name in dissidia will enter in my psn  name by default. That might work with other games that use the cross media bar's keyboard.As a side note, I tried to go back and play mk unchained and just wasnt feeling it anymore, so I just watched all the character endings and all the videos I unlocked, then listened to the soundtrack. Gotta say that I do like the ost for that game, since it features a few tracks from mk 1 and 2, and even most of the newer tracks were great and full of energy that made you want to kick some arse. I just feel like music in mk became lesser in quality after mk9, since even that soundtrack remixed a lot from the original trilogy. Speaking of which, those are still much easier to get into, and you can find them on midway arcade treasures extended play for psp.

CodeFactory doesn't have the power to port.  Only Nuance can make 64 bit eloquence happen. To the best of my knowledge, no 64 bit binaries are available even for Windows.  Jaws for example has a specific 32 bit part that runs even on 64 bit systems to make it work.Even if they have source code, and even if Nuance gave them the right to make source code changes, it would still be significant effort to do.  But they don't and Nuance almost certainly didn't so it's moot.Point being, put the blame at the feet of the right company.

Because eloquence is 32-bit, and because Code Factory didn't see the return on investment that would be required to port it over to 64-bit, they decided not to update the app. Consequently, because Google Play now requires apps to be 64-bit, it's not available anymore.

It's a 32bit binary. Code Factory decided they were not getting enough sales, and couldn't update it for 64it. Would've been all well and good if they hadn't up and removed it from the play store, or at least provided an alternate recourse for those who had purchased it already.

The creatorhas been very responsive with my emails. He fixed a serious crash affecting some where the game would freeze upon starting a mission. A new problem has arisen however: spoiler the mission hard bargain I noticed when playing sound cues 1 that the notes would fade in and out so sometimes you couldn't tell what string of notes are supposed to hit. to the question about steering around barriers the best way i have found is to wait as the barrier sound starts and then when it comes from the otherside that's when you try to steer around it. You can do it even if it means hitting the wall especially if you have certain items equipped. Its hard to explain unless you hear it.

Sorry if what I said seemed harsh. What I am trying to say is that I think that, if you want to get players to buy your game, you need to hook them. For example, have a boss that separates the first half of the dungeon and the second half. You are about to go up to that boss, but before you do, The subscription message blocks your way, so you are left to explore only the first half until you subscribe in order to get the rest of the story, quests, and loot. However, as it is now, all you get is the first battle and the town to explore, and that isn’t enough to hook people. If you want people to get hooked, then leave them in suspense. One battle isn’t going to do that.

For one thing, spell and out in your if statement.  That is probably not the specific problem here, but in Python you don't use & the symbol but and the word--& the symbol means bitwise and which is very much not the same.  Also you can drop the parens in your if statements if you want.

Hi. I wrote a small media player in python using carters sound module. How ever, the thing doesn't seam to check the is_playing correctly. Here is the code part that causes problem.  if(paused==False&s.is_playing==False):   s.close()   num+=1   if num==len(files): num=0   s.load(files[num])   s.volume=vol   s.pitch=pitch   s.play()the other variables are only these where the files are geting hold in, volume and pitch, so not important for this problem i think. I can how ever post the full code if it helps. What this is basically soposed to do is keep checking if the sound is still playing, and if it isn't and it is also not paused, then go over to the next track. How ever, it keeps rapitly scipping through the tracks, as if the is_playing would return false all the time. Does anyone know what mait be the problem?

There isn't a good argument here. If Storm wants to remove cracked software and direct links to it and whatnot, then we're happy to let those links get around the site. We're definitely in favour of helping people out. But if the site is going to contain copyrighted material, it's simply not gonna fly, and you're not going to be able to brute-force your way into a compromise because, unfortunately, there isn't one. You don't have room to negotiate. You have nothing we want or need. I hate to sound so autocratic here, but I'm getting tired of having to defend this over and over again. They were saying that alcohol stores were shutting down in Pennsylvania and I think New Jersey but not exactly sure.I do know in Florida that as of now we have no curfew, but a lot of places have changed their hours. Primarily grocery stores so they could give their employees time to clean and restock shelves

Also, just to be really clear: VC++ is official. VC++ actually does keep up these days.  Microsoft is very active at the standardization meetings, and is responsible for things like coroutines that are in the process of revolutionizing the way C++ people do networking.  They just have more tech debt than almost anyone else, and it takes them an additional 6 months to a year to be where Clang and GCC are today.  But unless you're using post-C++14 features, which almost no one on this forum even knows the meaning of, going out of your way for an alternative compiler isn't something that's required.  VC++'s compiler isn't going anywhere anytime soon.  There's a couple things they don't implement in C specifically, but they don't matter to new or even intermediate programmers and I have to look up what they are.It was true in 2015 or so that VC++ lagged everyone by miles because Microsoft didn't care about keeping up with it, but that has rapidly changed and they're now doing releases every 2 months.  Synthizer isn't going clang because VC++'s compiler sucks, but rather because Clang has a specific language extension for doing mathematical code which I would have to go into great length to explain that's not part of any official standards which makes Synthizer an order of magnitude faster while also making the code simpler at the same time.

@7 @9Clang on Windows is officially supported by Microsoft, with support in Visual Studio for building with it, and Synthizer has taken the stance that you will need to use Clang or nothing.  If you install Clang with the Clang Windows installer and install CMake with the CMake Windows installer, it works out of the box.  In detail, what you need to do is:1. Install VS 2019.  This gets you the developer command prompts.2. Install Clang. This gets you a version that's not buried in the VS internals somewhere.  VS has one, but it's only usable by VS because reasons.3. Install CMake.  This gets you a version newer than the version that comes with VS, which you need because more reasons.All of those are doable with normal Windows installers from the official sites, and default configurations should work save that you'll want to make sure to check the C++ workloads in the VS installer.Then you make a basic CMakeLists.txt, which I will leave as an exercise to the reader.  Open X64 native tools command prompt for VS 2019 (which you will always need to do before programming), then run the following, once, from your project's directory:mkdir build
cd build
cmake -G Ninja -DCMAKE_C_COMPILER="c:/program files/llvm/bin/clang-cl.exe" -DCMAKE_CXX_COMPILER="c:/program files/llvm/bin/clang-cl.exe" ..After that you can just cd into the build directory and type ninja.  If you don't have Ninja you might have to install it separately, but mine came with VS.If you start trying to add Clang compiler options and they don't work, revisit this topic or something and ask me how to use clang.exe instead of clang-cl.exe and I'll dig up the flag you need to make clang.exe work here.  Clang-cl.exe is a compatibility layer that exists for archaic reasons, and I need to dig around in Synthizer's CMakeLists.txt to find the one you need to do without it.Among other things, Clang on Windows is officially required by Chromium, if I recall. So it's definitely stable.And specifically for @!7, GCC doesn't have first class windows support, and is very, very hard to build yourself for that environment.  However, if you want to play with it, install WSL and you can get into a fully working Linux environment from any command prompt by typing bash at any time.  This will let you get  all the Linux tools you want, at the cost of not compiling things for Windows and needing to run them from inside WSL (how this works is magic faerie secret sauce).That said at your level, nothing is wrong with forgoing all of this and continuing to just use the VC++ compiler you're already using.  It's very real, and is used to build all of windows, it just tends to lag behind everyone else with respect to new language features.  But you're very far from using advanced C++ features where this comes up, so the cost of using something else is perhaps not worth it yet.

@5Everyone I've worked with professionally would disagree with you on that. There is actually a higher level meta-rule that I sort of use for this, but trying to articulate when I choose to and when I choose not to use braces is well beyond the scope of this thread and not actually as simple is "is a single line".  Suffice it to say that in typical C code, you're looking at half the code if you don't have the braces in many cases, especially for mathematical algorithms with absurd levels of nesting, or when forwarding errors.The proper fix is -Wmisleading-indentation.  Typically that'll get brought in via -Wall -Werror which you'd be using at scale anyway, though admittedly -Wall is probably too many warnings for someone new to C to deal with.  I believe that option is newer than the article you linked (indeed: the article you linked is likely one of the reasons it got added).  I'd suggest looking at it, but the short explanation is that that Apple code wouldn't compile under the typical -Wall -Werror setup that you use at scale anymore.

Last I knew, the stock market has been going down steadily.Also, sort of an update for Florida. I say sort of because I'm not sure if this will affect my school because it's a blind school, but it most likely will. I will post an update when I know for sure.Today, the governor of Florida said today that instead of returning on March 30, we will continue online at the end of our spring break, which happens to be this week. We will then return to school on April 15, and state tests are canceled. Also, from what the article I saw said, graduation requirements with an End of Course Exam, (EOC), will be processed as though they do not have an EOC, and eval exams have also been canceled.Again, not 100% sure about this one, and I will confirm whenever I find out exactly what's going on

@7, MSVC is official but only to an extent. Microsoft is well-known for being slow on the uptake on implementing C/C++ standards, whereas projects like Clang or GCC are pretty quick at implementing them. You'll get the latest standards with MSVC eventually; it might take a lot longer though. You can use Clang on Windows, but I'm not sure how well that works. GCC is not officially supported on Windows at all.

Agreed with 6. Pointers can be difficult to grasp, but once you've gotten the hang of them they're quite powerful and nice to use. And second here for the build system. Make is archaic and difficult to use properly (if you want a good example, check out any of the makefiles of any of the GNU projects).

@Dark:Yes, it does clear a lot of things for me. but I still would disagree with those people who absolutely refuse to watch anything unless they have the audio description for it. expecting something like that is unreasonable to say the least, since a lot of the sighted people themselves don't know about such things existing, and considering that we have to go through them to for such things, it is best to get where you can get it.Of course I understand that if the theater provides such facility, there is no excuse for them to not work properly. after all, you did bought the ticket, didn't you? you are at least supposed to get what you've payed for.

I tried to set up GCC, but everything I have found online didn’t give me the actual executable. It gave me the source and told me to build it, something which I could not do. I am currently using the developer power shell for VS 2019 and have not encountered any issues with it so far.  I do eventually want to look into a more official compiler, though.

The one nice thing about C, as opposed to any other language, is that things usually do work as you expect.  Unfortunately the flip side is that the lack of magic and advanced features can make things take lots of effort and be uglier.  Also, nothing's wrong with do loops.  Just at scale they're rare, and rare things are usually used with reason, and so when rare things are seen usually you eventually learn to go looking for the why.Find something that covers pointers well.  I don't know what languages you're coming from, but the big sticking point for most people in C is pointers.  Unfortunately I learned this 10 years ago and even if I still had references and tutorials handy, they'd be dead links by now.And FYI, look at CMake or Meson when you start dealing with multiple files.  They're both CLI and they're both able to be used on Windows (though I haven't personally run Meson there).  Very simple use of either is a few lines and a couple shell commands to initialize, then one shell command to build.  CMake is much more powerful; Meson is much simpler.  They're both massively easier than the venerable but quite archaic make that tutorials will eventually try to get you to use, and you can avoid VS on Windows with them, which you might or might not want to do depending on your preference.

I feel the same about both alcohol and drugs.Since alcohol sales are state or federal, and are essentially regulated on some level, they're shutting them down for a really simple reason.Some people are absolutely going to be violent with or without intoxicants. No doubt about that.But there's a large group of people who, when their inhibitions are down, may become violent or, at the very least, uninhibited and unpredictable.So let's say out of a group of a hundred folks.Ten don't drink at all. Even if alcohol is available, they're not a part of the equation.Of the ninety who do drink, let's say twenty or twenty-five of them might get violent or irrational without booze. But with enough intoxication, all ninety can and will become irrational eventually.Rather than treat alcohol as a guaranteed problem, people are treating it like a wild card. And that's because it is one.I know folks who'll just have a glass of wine, or a beer or two, and won't bother anybody. But think of what folks are doing in shops when they're sober. Do you really want a bunch of tanked-up dudes running amok after stockpiling liquor and deciding to go out for a rip? I shudder to think what might happen there. Looting, property damage, fights, and generally speaking, just more chance for the virus to spread.So as annoying as it is, I don't blame them stopping the sale of alcohol. that is one thing they can control; once it dries up, that's one angle of intoxication that becomes a whole lot harder to indulge in.But let me be clear: I feel generally the same way about all intoxicants in this situation, not just alcohol. If you're getting high on pot, shrooms, acid, whatever your item of choice is, you're a potential threat to yourself and others, depending on how you go. So I mean, if you wanna stay home and spark one up, go for it I suppose. Just enjoy responsibly. And understand that your supplies probably won't last forever.

@3, I generally don't approve of non-braced compound statements (if, for, while, ...). Its generally a bad practice and triggered the (not too old) Apple Goto Fail; bug. I always brace my compound statements and would recommend everyone else do the same, because it makes reading code, IMO, a lot easier, and its a lot harder to introduce a bug like that this way. (You could still do it trivially but it'd be pretty damn obvious.) Good advice in this post though -- our posts complimented each others quite nicely.

You need to change the function of the buttons. The new sansung's phones have a sansung's screen reader as standard, so you have to change the configuration of the buttons so that the instead to suspend the screen reader the sansung, it suspends the talkback.Settings> Accessibility> Advanced settings.Not sure if the grammar is correct, but I hope this helps you

I can be brutally polite when needed, but not always. Most Canadians are relatively polite, but it's the same as anyone; we've got some bad apples, and if you get stuck in traffic, you might get honked or shouted at.The sound in "out" and "about" is the same, and no, we don't ever say "aboot" or "oot" in that context. Sometimes our sounds are sharper, while some Americans really draw that sound into a longish parody of itself. I can't even make Eloquence imitate it. There's no R to speak of though, that's for sure.The stereotypical twangy Canadian accent does exist -  you usually hear it in more rural areas - but the funny part is that if you listen to a rural Minnesota or even a Wisconsin or Michigan accent, that'll sound a lot more like so-called Canadianism than most Canadians do.

It was supposed to be funny, eh. Ah well.I really don't understand Americans mocking Canadians with the wwrong things. I've never actually heard Canadians say, "Eh" As much. I only see it on American television. And they do sorta get this one right, but they screw it up as well. Canadians, to me say, "Out" sorta in an English tone. Its like you guys add in a "R" somewhere. I never bought the Eh sterotype, neither the aboot one either. I do buy the polite one though, but sometimes reading your reactions to crappy customer service makes me think twice about that, then smile about it.

That is pretty cool. I would guess Canada is better in that regard than the US.I was in a liquor store today, and people were cleaning out the place.  They are shutting down indefinitely at 9 PM tonight. I don't really buy the argument that having access to alcohol would automatically make the situation worse. People can be just as violent without it, especially when put into situations they have zero control over. In the short term, i would expect to see a spike in illicit drug use as well. Today, we were taking a Uber, and the driver was telling us how a friend of his was stockpiling weed because of this situation. So, no, that really doesn't work for me.I do worry about my partner travelling back to his home state on Thursday. I haven't heard anything about any closures of airports, but they're definitely not the cleanest places around. If he were quarrantined, it would really suck, much more so for him, of course, but considering you're not allowed to speak to anyone in a situation like that, I would worry that i might not even know he had been sent there.

Thank you both for your feedback.  I will most likely pick up another book after I finish reading, as I have found small issues with the absolute beginners guide. I appreciate your explanations. I used puts because the book introduced it to me and I wanted to cement it in my mind. I do agree that printf is more useful, primarily because it is not limited to just outputting strings.  Will use that in the future.  Same thing with they do while loop, no specific reason besides cementing the syntax in my mind. I have worked with it before a couple of times, so I wanted to make sure that it function the same way in the language.  I would have used a while loop instead, but hey. For loop works just as well. Didn’t even think about that, to be honest.  Again, thank you. I will probably be back sometime soon with some more questions.

LOL. Like hell any cafe in Trinidad wwould do that. Its nice that people try and help out one another in your neck of the wwwoods, but for me, all the toilet paper is sold out, as well as the clorax, sanitiser, soap and lisol. And also, a bottle of Lysul costs around 12 US dollars now. Greedy bastards.

First of all, Canadians don't actually say "eh" all that much. No more than Americans do - yes, Americans do say "eh" sometimes, depending on where they're from.Second of all, I've been exposing my Canadianity for years now. Just look at how I spell. Colour and neighbour have a u in them, just as one particular. Also, I've never, ever made a secret of where I'm from. I talk about American politics quite a bit, but I usually say "you", not "we", in cases like that.There are dozens of other clues I've dropped over the years, so if you're only catching on now, I don't know what to tell ya. Heh.

I can think of a few things:1. It's going to royally fuck with the economy2. It's going to screw with those individuals who don't like staying indoors3. It's going to do a world of good for people's sense of community, as there's already been a large public outpouring of support, some of which I'll highlight belowA café in my city, though it was technically closed, was offering free sack lunches to those in need if they dropped by during certain hours. The café provided a link by which people could donate money, and an address to drop off food as well. This, BTW, is a café that operates with a button system. A button system, for want of a better word and for those of you who don't know, is a means by which people can be helped when trying to pay their bill. Say, for instance, each button costs a dollar. Let's say your bill is fourteen dollars; you give the barrista a twenty and tell them to put six buttons in the jar. Now let's say someone comes in with four dollars, and they want a sandwich and a coffee that costs five dollars. Rather than being turned away, they can take a button from the jar to make up the difference. Essentially it's a form of anonymous giving; rather than turning to a given person and providing money, you're leaving a little behind, if you want to and if you're able, for whosoever needs it. No judgment, no control over who gets what except, obviously, that if you pay your bill in full, you don't get to use buttons. Heh.Another example of community spirit: a store is changing its opening hours. Instead of opening to the public at 9 a.m., they're now opening at 8 a.m., but only those over a certain age or with proof of a disability can visit in the first hour of business. I believe the store is also doing its best to control hoarding of items as well. They do their deep-cleaning and heavy prep work overnight, so people at the greatest risk overall face the least risk when going to the store, and have first crack at needed items. Seriously. How fucking cool is that? I wish way, way more stores would do this, at least in this short-term sense.
