Re: Leviathan Chronicles Season 3 is here!

@Jayde: It's an audio drama about an alien lifeform that delivers pseudo-immortality to Earth. Other factions want their hands on the tech as well so there's a conflict. It went on hiatus for a very long time because the producer had severe personal issues so he was dealing with his family at the time. I would say it's been at least eight years since I listened to the drama because I remember being introduced to it in 2011.They dropped season 3, the final season, this week Monday as of this writing. The character that @19 spoiled is significant to the story now that I've started listening to season 1 again. So if you do end up listening to it, be aware that you won't be able to connect with one of the main characters because you know his ending already. On mainstream forums, spoilers are immediate grounds for permabans so @19 got off easy on this one. I remember when Game of Thrones was still running, even the actors were under contract to not reveal anything even hinting at a spoiler or they'd be fined. I'm one of those that absolutely hates! spoilers, because as @Jayde pointed out it kills the mood in many cases. I never watched Game of Thrones but I knew a lot of people who did, and the reactions when someone would spoil something were cultish. For those of you who don't think this is a big deal, maybe you simply haven't waited as long as others of us have for the final season.@Simba: I love the passive aggressiveness there with the common sense comment. (Sarcasm.) Apparently you don't know what a spoiler is or you simply don't have enough common sense yourself to think "hey, even though I've finished it because I have all the time in the world to just sit there and binge the damn thing, other people don't." I've been looking forward to starting the series this weekend after work and you pretty much ruined that whole experience. Consider yourself lucky to not be on a forum where they take spoilers seriously or they'd never let you back on.In case you don't know, it's common sense (your words) and considered common forum etiquette to not spoil a series. Just take @34's example where they clearly warned of a spoiler ahead. If it was up to me you'd be permabanned like I've seen other forums do when someone spoils something. In fact I daresay just getting a warning is letting you off too easy. It's akin to mentioning a significant plot twist to Harry Potter's character Dumbledore that happens in The Half-Blood Prince.

Re: The Blank Game 2 version 1.0 is finally here!

OK, so I apologize if I didn’t correct any mistakes I may have made in my last post. I am simply excited about what this game could turn into. However, I have gotten to the any qualities place, and fighting these three bosses with a very under leveled character is frustrating in all the wrong ways. A good Bossfight was Megatron. I could kill him in one hit, but he could also kill me in one hit. It was a one on one fight to the death and either of us could slip up just once, and that would be the death of us. this fight, however ... it was like fighting the ultra brat. He could kill me in one hit, but it took maybe five hits to kill him. This is like fighting three ultra brats, and unfortunately, I can’t switch to Sierra. I have tried my magic attacks. They do next to no damage while my standard attack takes a good chunk of their health, but there are three of them. Tornado would be great here, and it is when you are fighting grunts, but either this guy is under leveled, or these guys have some mean defenses, because it does no damage.

Re: Audio wrapper for Python

The pygame documentation mentions set_pos and get_pos, but whats in the documentation and whats actually implemented in the API can be two different things, which is one of the chronic problems with libraries like wxPython. I think there may be a newer version of pygame available, but checking the functions of mixer.music with dir() showed that there was a get_pos function, but no set_pos function, so i'm not sure if its actually implemented. You can check by adding the following code after you initialize the mixer:print(dir(pygame.mixer.music))And check the functions it has to see if set_pos is implemented.

Oh no, I am not into the whole online tournament thing. Yes, I am referring to a tournament arena that is you and a boss level enemy. each of them would be tougher than the last, and it would be, let’s say five rounds. If you last three rounds, then you get the third-place award, four rounds means second place, and five rounds obviously gives you the most money. I don’t know why, but games like breed memorial really make me love tournaments in games that don’t really need them, and as I said, it could simply be something you can do whenever you want to, like if you were low on cash. sorry about the rambling, but I would love it if you put that in. thanks.

Re: Does anyone on here (sighted or not) enjoy shooting?

Heck yes. I've had a fascination with guns for a bit. I went shooting for the first time  when I was about 18 or so for the first time and... I liked the experience. I francly don't really mind if I hit the target lol, cant see it anyway haha, however its something I like to do now and then, go to the range and shoot.Speaking of safety... always treat the gun as if where loaded, even when you know its not; remove the magazine, and rack the slide just to make sure that its not loaded; and always keep your finger away from the trigger, only put your finger on the trigger until your about to fire.By way, out of curiosity, what is the... don't know how to say this, most powerful or strongest gun you've shot? Mine are between a 30-06, and a 12 gage. Also, do you prefer semiautomatic guns, or guns where you have to load after each shot, e.g, bolt-action, pump, revolvers? I'm not saying I don't like semiautomatics, I do, however I dunno why, I like the feeling of manually loading after each shot, dunno why.Heh, speaking of this, funny story. I went to the range, and there where a couple of friends shooting with a 44 magnum. I asked if I could give it a shot, pun intended... I fired, and I almost lost my grip on the gun because of the recoil lol. That thing packs a hell of a recoil for sure lol. This one isn't as funny, but there where people shooting with a 12 gage shotgun in the range, I think it was 5 of us or so... Lets just say I hadn't put my earmuffs properly when the gun went off... I was like, o shit... my right ear was not protected and i just heard a ringing sound for a bit lol. That happened only once though.Edit: when I go shooting, I always do it with sighted people, i.e, family, famaily friends, etc. Also, a question. The first time you heard a real gun, i'm talking with bullets; fire, what was your reaction at hearing the sound? Given Hollywood games etc typically make gun sounds more than what they really are... The first time I actually heard a gun fire, it was a handgun, I know I was like... Uh, that's it? Really? Lol. I know better now, but my first time I was like what the hell... Talk about expecting too much. Tipicly the sounds for handguns in movies / video-games are not handgun shots, but rifle shots or larger guns. I don't remember the exact example my sound design teacher gave, but he said how in this movie, the gun which was a 38, the sound was actually from a 30-06 rifle, not a real 38.

Wow. I loved the demo of The Road to Unknown. It's very very well done. For as quick of a time that it took for you to make this demo with as much as it has in it. You've done an awesome job. I'd love to see more. I hope you might make that something we all could play when Sable comes out fully.

yeah but those fixes usually come within a few days. So, why can't we have that option? Also, I really wish there was a mix mode. So basically each turn, there would eiher be a minigame, a little battle, a microame, or the board you were all using would be played for a turn. That would be so much fun!

Meh, maybe theirs a special case where dedicated graphics is better than IGPU for light stuff but honestly I never ran into instances like that. Ironically the old macbook I used to use before I got my Mag-15, ran way better on windows, it was super snappy, probably because it didn't throttle like Mac OS, and I worked that boy out, that thing was playing Doom 2016 and it had no business playing that game.

Re: Does anyone on here (sighted or not) enjoy shooting?

@20 Just be smart. Before you load it just make sure you know what does what. I.E., safety, magazine release, etc. If you're not comfortable just get someone you know you can trust to help you out. BB guns can be good in these situations where you want to try it out but obviously you don't want to deal with the issues that can arise when shooting actual guns off. Just don't be foolish. And remember the 4 basic rules: Safety is never on, gun is always loaded, finger off trigger until you're ready to shoot, never point guns in directions you don't want to shoot in.

Re: Does anyone on here (sighted or not) enjoy shooting?

Well, no offense, but careless accidents can happen regardless of sight or no sight. Someone could sneak up to the other side of the target as a sighted person is shooting, or run up. BOOM! He's got a whole in him. And if we're talking about actual firearms here, someone should be watching the blind person shooting, and therefor catch other unexpected things that may crop up. But even if it's not shooting actual bullets, I mean, you're not shooting targets inconspicuously, no matter who you are, if someone goes behind a target while someone is shooting at it, hate to be an asshole, but that's natural selection rearing it's head. And in case you're wondering, I don't shoot it off when theirs kids running all over the place in the backyard. They're kids and wanna do what kids do, I can shoot with my brother some other time. As for the basement, you won't miss people walking down the stairs, they're creaky ass wooden stairs.I'm not saying your points completely lack merit, I'm just saying that shit will happen regardless of disability, and it does. As much as I think the piece I bought is a badass and is fun to shoot, I did a ton of research before hand to figure out what median I wanted to have power-wise. Hence, steel BBs, not pellets, pistol instead of fully auto (not because I couldn't get one but for that slim Just In case ever happens), and of course I knew where I was going to hide it before I bought it, and where it is I'm located 95% of the time. And, like I said above, my little sister is scared shitless of it. As long as my Mom's not freaking out, I have no reason to worry. When I move into a pad on my own, who knows what the hell I'll do. Maybe I'll get a pellet gun. For targeting or otherwise. But then I'll have my own place and can control who comes and goes more than I can now.

Re: Does anyone on here (sighted or not) enjoy shooting?

Well, again, guns were designed as weapons for killing people, that is the point of why they are built. Blind people can be aware of their lack of vision, but that won't stop them from accidentally shooting the person standing behind their target etc. Also, a knife is a really wrong comparason. A knifeis a close range weapon, and is not a situation where being blind would pose a significantly greater hazard. For a knife, you need to be really close, close enough to where you can touch someone, so the chances of stabbing the wrong guy are slim. What makes a gun, specificly military grade weaponry so dangerous in the hands of a blind person is that it has a  much longer range, and requires precision.

Re: Does anyone on here (sighted or not) enjoy shooting?

@16 I agree for the most part about actual firearms but honestly a lot of this comes down to common sense as a blind person not to be an idiot. Theirs a reason why I'm with someone who can see around me whenever I do use it, mostly because it's a backyard and we don't have a fence. Guns are tools. Sure advances in firearms technologies were stimulated to a large degree by the war economy but do you really think the guy putting the guns together in the factories, or sketching designs are like "Yeah, this is one mean murder machine." No. Come on now.. And if I'm being honest with you I'm more worried about a mentally ill person shooting off a gun more than a blind person. Blind people can still be self-aware and take their lack of vision into account when shooting. But if I wanted to go into my wide open, unfinished basement, get a cheap ass beeper speaker and put it in a box, cover it with some bags to protect it and put tape some paper down onto it, and take potshots at it, who's gonna stop me?What if this was a knife? A knife is intended to cut things. Whether they're human or not is another thing. Before guns people were swinging swords on each other. Blindy can't use knife now? Yeah a knife doesn't shoot projectiles, no shit. But who treats their motorcycle like a bicycle? Also I'm pretty sure the end of 15's post was sarcastic.

Re: Does anyone on here (sighted or not) enjoy shooting?

15, you perfectly summarized why I think a blind person should not be allowed to independantly own and shoot a gun.  Firing with close supervision is one thing, but independantly trying to locate the target with hearing is another. Hearing isn't nearly as precise a sense as vision is,  and for the simple reason that a blind person can't visualise the target as a sighted person can, it should absolutely not be allowed. Any crazy ass governer who thinks blind people owning guns is a good idea should have his head examined at the nearest hospital. The truth of the matter is, guns aren't tools like a screw driver or car is. This idea for some reason only seems  commonplace in the US. The fact of the matter is, guns are weapons, designed to kill people, that is their design purpose and not an accident. When you use a gun to murder someone, you are using it as intended, the way it was designed to be used.

I can work on something like that, but Heaven and Earth War 2 was one of Morokuma's later games and took a lot more work than this did. The only reason you can go to most places just once is because of the amount of code I know how to do with Text Game Maker. Once I learn how to do more, I'll make something more interesting. And no, I'm not saying this is done. If you're talking about online tournament battles, that's impossible in Text Game Maker. A place ware the game allows you to earn cash and items or skills for fights that copy the stats of your characters or something, I can make that.

Well, I would still get a discrete GPU, as the intigrated GPU has increased latency, and uses system ram. Believe it or not GPUs are used for more than games, especially browsers, such as Firefox  web render. Some audio/video programs apparently also can process with the GPU instead of the CPU. You can't get a high end system without a discrete GPU anyway.

Re: Does anyone on here (sighted or not) enjoy shooting?

I shoot all the time, and I am totally blind. My dad helps me aim, but I still have to hold the gun still while pulling the trigger to hit the target. I have had good luck with using laser sights to help in aiming. With a laser, the sighted person just has to stand behind you and look at the dot on the target as opposed to trying to sight directly over your shoulder. The one downside of a laser is they can be hard to see on a very sunny day. If you are going to be shooting acctual firearms as I do, be sure you where good hearing protection and glasses. Even if you are blind, you still need to where glasses just incase something goes wrong. You don't want parts of your gun coming back and hitting you in or around your eyes. Personally, I own several guns: an Ar-15, severl .22 pistols, a .22 rifle, an Ak-47 style rifle, a Glock 43, and a pistol caliber carbine. I also have a pellet gun and a crossbow.

I think the reason they didn’t beat the game is because they aren’t doing some serious boss grinding like me. Hey, I wouldn’t do it either, but since I am only allowed to go to each place once and can never go back, I am taking every advantage. I do have some suggestions either for this game or in a future project, could you add a tournament quest, either as a side quest or part of the main story, some thing you can make some serious cash from and some thing you can keep going back to? I heard about it in heaven and earth war two, and since then, I have been dying for more games to have one of those.

Re: buying a new computer soon, suggestions

Honestly man, go for what you like, but when I got my macbook in 2017, the jump from 4 gb to 16 was extremly noticeable. For it's not hard to get almost up to 8 gb RAM usage at all and I'm the kind of guy that doesn't like to get the bear minimum only to have to upgrade later. It's just an avoidable pain in the ass. And honestly $80 is not bad for 16 gb because I paid a little under that for my desktop. And if you wanna do video encoding or audio editing, 16 gb is absolutely necessary. Hell I'd say even 32 but only for the video part. Even if you don't do that rite now it'd be a bummer if you try something and realize that your RAM is your limiting factor. Also, I've noticed that Firefox has been eating a bit more RAM lately. Also Windows 10 takes more of your RAM when you have more, to cache files and stuff, to avoid hitting the pagefile or unnecessary disk usage, so theirs that distinctive advantage, or not depending on how you feel about stuff like that.Imo last priority in this guys case would be gpu which is a heavy chunk off any computer price. He said he wanted an xbox for AAA games, so IGPU (I've heard lots of good things about AMDs IGPUs, Vega graphics or something?) will be just fine.

@10 You could always just do what I did and buy some replica guns online. You don't have to go to a shooting range for that.I'm also pretty sure shooting instructors have dealt with worse with people with vision than someone without. People can freak out over a blindy using a stove. Or even just touching something. Some chick freaked out because I was standing idoly by the microwave in cooking class and was just rubbing my hand along it waiting for something and I had to tell her to hop off. I made it this far without falling down a flight of stairs in 12 years and I haven't pissed myself since my single digit years and ignorant people that clench their buttcheeks wanna tell me what I'm doing is dangerous.

I can use about 5.5-6gb without trying  at all. And remember, if you get more ram, its basicly future proofing, as I saw.  Firefox ram balooned with process split, as well as windows with svchost.exe process isolation. I would get 16 gb minimum, and possibly go up to 32, even 64 if my budget enabled me to do so.

@11 Man, to hell with other people's arbitrary views. You shouldn't have to justify shit to anyone, you're in the clear legally if you just pay attention to that, so tell them to kiss your starfish. Idk if you're from the states but people are divided heavily and on both sides there are hypocrites. Guns are just tools designed to destroy or put holes in stuff. Respect the gun and understand what it can do (obviously you do), and you'll be just fine. Oh and also, if you're grown, that's another reason to tell others to suck it. Life is short and people like to find shit to rip others apart over because they're not happy with their own lives and need to justify their position to themselves and themselves only. And I don't even own any actual gunpowder powered firearms and I've gotten the bullshit. "it'll cause blindness." Ok firstly, dipshit, I'm already blind, so that is invalid if you're talking about me. Secondly, I'm wearing the fucking goggles for a reason, idiot. If you're talking about little kids, firstly, my youngest sister is scared shitless of that thing, my high school aged sister doesn't care at all that I even have one, and if you wanna see how stupid I'd have to be to let a goddamn child who barely knows how to piss properly get ahold of a CO2 powered gun, try to find it. You won't find it. Because I hide it, and I'm not a fucking moron. Mmkay? Mmkay. Fuck off. lol. What's funny was that was my grandfather telling me that and he's super republican and almost has a seizure if you say "liberal." Where as me, both sides are stupid and it's just a scheme to make money anyway.

Hi there,As of now, I am using an HP Laptop with an Intel core I3 10th gen processor, with 8GB ram and 128GB SSD. It sounds crappy, but honestly, it runs like an Intel core I5. It's just that great. You can have almost up to 7 tasks open on this thing and it only takes up about 5 gigs of the ram. It is also hyper threaded, so it gives the processor that oomf to it. The fans do go crazy every once and awhile, but its nothing to panick about as long as you're not running like, 30 task windows on it or something. The price of the laptop was around $358USD, so it was rather affordable. If you are looking for something that can run most audiogames with barely any speed hacks, then an Intel Core I3 hyperthreaded processor is the best way to go for something inexpensive and lightweight. Here is my system information if you want to take a quicker look at the specs.System Manufacturer; Value: HP 6 of 41System Model; Value: HP Laptop 15-dy1xxx 7 of 41System Type; Value: x64-based PC 8 of 41Processor; Value: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-1005G1 CPU @ 1.20GHz, 1190 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s) 10 of 41Installed Physical Memory (RAM); Value: 8.00 GB 28 of 41Total Physical Memory; Value: 7.76 GB 29 of 41Hope this helps.

@NevEdAgreed about the 4GB thing but 16GB minimum?  I don't know man, I think the RAM upselling propoganda machine has gotten to you.Unless your virtualizing another system alongside or working with a shit ton of VST's at once in an audio program or something, I think 8 is perfectly reasonable.Personally I almost never get over 5GB even with a bunch of tabs open in Chrome, word open in the other window and a PDF in Acrobat with Dropbox running in the background, and I"ve seen similar results with other people's Windows 10 laptops, even without all the manufacturer bloatware removed.I believe that these days RAM is the last priority as long as you have a comfortable amount, but manufacturers are happy to charge you another 80 bucks for the false security of another 8GB.

Fixes to the Nathan Tech website, and a possible idea?

Hello! So if you visited Nathan Tech over the last week or two, you may have noticed one or things looked a bit... Weird. For instance on the Contact page it talked about a capcha which was not there. In fact, that was the same on the Software Archive Too!Basically, we were suffering from an over protective content security policy. Bless it's little cotton socks. It's been told that google is an okay source now, and so many things should be back to looking nice and normal. The new idea I've been thinking about:On the main home page of the website is a news section which is basically just a glorified changelog. I was perhaps thinking of adding to that and splitting it into a changelog and an announcements section/ Rather reminiscent of cosmic Rage I know, but it got me to wondering if a subscription option was added to where if there was an announcement you would be pushed an email about it, would this be something users would be interested in?Thanks a lot for reading

Re: Does anyone on here (sighted or not) enjoy shooting?

I've had an interest in guns since I was like 14 and started researching them to help audio game devs understand how to make their weapons more realistic. Now I watch quite a bit of youtube gun content and often research firearms that have special interest to me, like the ultra compact Chinese machine pistols, the underwater capable Russian assault rifles, the ultralight American special forces machineguns, the integrated laser guided grenade modules for the future warrior project, or the caseless/telescoping ammunition prototypes like the H&K G11.When my friend (also blind) turned 21 we went to a gun range and the instructor let all us blind kids shoot a .22 (probably a ruger 1022 based on the 25 round magazine) a government model 1911 (not sure if it was Colt or another brand) a .410 bore breach loading single barel shotgun (not sure what type) and a 12 gauge double bareled shotgun (also not sure of the type).Though I enjoy the engineering behind guns and I definitely wouldn't mind shooting smaller calibur firearms, I was too nervous to fire anything more than the .22 and .410, plus I was recording everything for later.I just kept thinking about muzzle flip with the pistol since I don't know how to lock my wrists properly and I'm a skinny guy so I didn't like the idea of the 12 gauge, but I realize now that I was just scared and thinking illogically rather than just simply having a respect for the weapon. Now I regret wasting that opportunity because finding a range willing to supervise a blind person isn't easy and going to one in the first place is expensive with an instructor.Noise is another big thing for me, I've always been averse to loud noises like allot of people, so when the guy in the next stall started popping off with a .44 magnum and I could feel the sound waves impacting in my chest I got kinda freaked out.  LOLI think it would be cool to try shooting again, and I feel like their are probably ways to adapt targeting for blind people relatively cheaply considering that they have blind biathlon shooters in the paralympics.I just wish that I didn't have to constantly feel the need to justify my interest in firearms to people and that I could enjoy the community without getting into an internal battle with my self about morals and having to question so much of what gets said on both sides of that debate.

Re: Does anyone on here (sighted or not) enjoy shooting?

This is something I've always wanted to do. My partner and I were discussing it a couple weeks back. I was musing that going to a shooting range probably wouldn't be easy as a blind person since the staff would most likely freak the fuck out about a blindy handling a gun, but since a couple of you have said it's possible, and it's an experience I'd really like to have, I'll most likely pursue it once things start going back to normal. Nothing like a pandemic to give you a kick in the ass that makes you want to do and try all the things you dreamed of, no matter how big or small they are.

Re: Sable Alpha is here!–free to download for Public alpha testing!

Re: Sable Alpha is here!–free to download for Public alpha testing!

Hi everyone,We have two bits of news to share: firstly, as promised we have a new YouTube video out which  shows how to create four different types of quests in Sable, so as well as simple go find something quests, it also demonstrates how to set quests to go speak to other NPC’s, setting quests to go complete a task and quests to have to go and kill something, the final quest shown in the video shows a unique way of setting quests too. the link to the YouTube video is below, since it shows of four different types off quests, it is longer than the usual sable videos on our channel. Secondly,  there is a new version of sable to download with a few bug fixes. As stated in the original post,  bugs reported in the public alpha testing phase will be fixed after the public testing is complete.  however, since there were a few issues everyone were having I wanted to address and fix those issues. The latest version of Sable is version 1.8.3. I’ll put a list of all the fixes and amendments to this latest version below. Since a lot of people said the battle music was too loud and there was no chest sounds, I have added a chest sound and also reduced the volume of the battle music track. The download link  in post 1 now contains the new version of sable. * do not delete your old projects folder, this is where all your projects are saved. The download contains the full sable download (221mb in size), the only files you need to update your current version are the new application file (the .exe executable  file) and the sound folder so you have the new sounds. If anyone is unclear on this process please email me at i...@ebonskystudios.com. *I know I said it before, but the most important thing is you do not delete your projects folder, since this has everything you have created  over the past week. Ok, now that’s out the way, below is the YouTube link and below that a full list of the fixes and amendments in this latest version of Sable (version 1.8.3): Creating Quests in Sable video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N42QHy8VlbEFixes below for Sable  QA version 1.8.3:  - Updated 15th May 2020 - fixed a bug with the event trigger which starts a battle, one of the options allows you to reward an item to the player after the battle. Although you could reward a nonphysical item, anything given here was not actually being rewarded to the player, which could result in quests not being completed. This has now been fixed, the player will now be rewarded all items given after these battles.-fixed a bug where despite the battle start/transition sound playing, no battle would start.- fixed a bug where if enemy bands hadn’t been set on a map no enemies could be encountered. Now when in debug or play game mode, if no enemy bands have been created Sable will just pick at random a selection of enemies for you to battle, providing an enemy encounter rate has been set. - Fixed a bug in the project options menu where the position of items could change when new options became available (such as after selecting set starting player location, which opens up the option to set starting player location).- added a new option to the project options menu which allows you to set how much gold the player starts with. The option is called gold the party starts with. *please note if you have changed your in game currency name to something other than gold it will display the option with your currency name instead of the word gold-fixed a panning sounds bug which would allow you to place two panning sounds on the same tile, which could lead to panning sound issues.  Sable will no longer allow two panning sounds to occupy the same tile, a warning will pop up asking you to place the panning sound somewhere else, or suggest you delete the current panning sound on that tile.- fixed a bug with the event trigger which rewards items where it would read the name of the first item being rewarded to the player twice.- fixed a bug where when returning to the main title screen in some instances Sable would continue to play the ambience from your old map.Paul LemmEbon Sky Studiosemail: i...@ebonskystudios.comFacebook: https://m.facebook.com/ebonskystudios/Twitter: @ebonskystudios

If the mod doesn’t work, it will be a great disappointment. It won’t be the end of the world as we did get this game for free after all. That’s not to say that it won’t be bad, it will be very disappointing. It would have been a lot worse if we had actually paid for it.

I do wanna find one that kicks more cause the first time I shot the glock it felt pretty damn sweet when the thing kicked. Although it'd probably eat CO2 like a bitch.

Gonna just post my $0.02 here, didn't read all the posts yet. But do not, and I repeat, do not get a laptop (especially if it's not upgradable) with only 4 gb. Don't do it. Chrome will eat your RAM like I'm sure my ass will eat once this damn lockdown gets lifted. 8 GB is eeh but pushing it. If you can 16 gb minimum. The ryzen CPUs are great and I've heard nothing bad about them, but I've never used them in a laptop. Just have a 2700 in my desktop rig. If you're gonna have an xbox for the mainstream games, then that $1000 laptop will be more than just fine for you I'm sure. But make sure you check to make sure if any parts are user-replaceable, because that can determine how long you can use that machine for the foreseeable future.Edit: And if integrated sound is important to you, avoid anything that uses realtek. Fuck realtek forever and ever with a spiked bat on the beaches of hell while drinking white lightning.

Re: Problem with Luna RSS

Hello!First, to echo the voice of the posters above: Admin access is absolutely not and should absolutely never be required.I am aware though there are a few issues cropping up regarding UTF8 encoding, something I will endeavour to fix in the next update. At the risk of sounding like a broken record, when it comes to broken feeds or specific feeds not working, it's best to email me directly with such things (not just for  the sake of press) but also because more often than not I will need to request the specific feed data from you (usually a zip of the folder that the program created) in order to actually be able to get it fixed and therefore out to you as soon as possible.I also realise the contact form of the website appears to be done at the moment (more on that in a different post), so please feel free to use this direct email address: supp...@nathantech.netI prize myself on being an open and patient developer and Luna RSS should be a product of the users. If something is broken for you, and you feel I'm missing it. It's not because I'm being spiteful or can't be bothered. It's because your specific issue is not cropping up, and I may not have enough source data to reproduce. Hope this helps!

Does anyone on here (sighted or not) enjoy shooting?

I've been meaning to post this up on the forums for a while now as I think it's an interesting topic that as far as I know was never really covered here. I've always had a fascination with guns ever since hearing the gun talk between Big Boss and other characters from MGS3, this was back when I was young. Played around with nerf guns and the like and enjoyed doing that in my grade school years. Fast forward to now and I've picked up a replica of a Glock 17 that shoots .177 BBs and have taken to the backyard with my younger brother (13 y/o but not idiotic), and it's been a fuckload of fun shooting the target we fashioned out of a cardboard box filled with walmart bags (to prevent rikochets), or just unloading a whole magazine, in a safe direction of course. Has anyone else done this? And if they have, have you ever tried ways to make it possible to independently aim? One thing I'm probably going to do in the near future is purchase a red dot sight so I can be helped aiming more easily.
