As long as I start from the assumption that gay rainbow unicorns must exist, science can't disprove them. Sometimes science can, for example if I said "gay rainbow unicorns can be found in Central Park in new York City on Tuesdays at noon".If you want me to take back my comment about how I think people here are intentionally avoiding understanding science to hold onto their beliefs, explain how psionics is different? Every time science disproves it, the bar just gets moved: maybe it can't be done in the lab because the instruments somehow destroy it, maybe you have to be holding the spoon for the mental energies to connect, and so on. I say what I'm saying about intentionally ignoring science because even the most religious schools out there--the crazy cultish ones--teach you why this kind of argument is bad sometime in middle school. You have to explicitly decide to ignore what is literally the most basic thing in science or any type of argument where one side must be correct to maintain the argument about psionics and other mental powers. It's only in the realm of philosophy, where there is no objective truth, that you get to use other structures. I found that tapping the bottom of the screen doesn't always work for example in Spotify. It's hard to find the connect to other devices option with out being able to jump to the bottom of the screen. We've only had the JAB installing reliably for maybe the last 2 years out of the 10+ that it's been around for example. You will be able to get things working, but "this doesn't work how I think" may very easily be "I found yet another bug". Oracle didn't do things as they should, tried to reinvent the wheel, etc etc etc. and here we are. Java Accessibility Query regarding Custom States Hi ALl,I am working on contributing to some open source projects written in Java, and ran into some accessibility issues I'd appreciate help with. I'm trying to figure out how Java and the Java Access Bridge interface with NVDA, as follows…One of the projects I'm working on is an implementation of Magic: The Gathering. I did some kind of hackish accessibility already, basically I needed a way to tell the player that a card was tapped, among other states, which is a thing conveyed visually for sighted people and will make sense to anyone who has played the game before.I ended up using the AccessibleDescription property to do this, which isn't ideal, and have been trying to figure out an alternative. I thought that using Java's AccessibleState class might do the trick. I created a custom subclass for AccessibleCardState, since none of the pre-existing states seemed to quite fit what I needed to convey.The state is being passed through the Java Access Bridge, but NVAD isn't using it to describe the card in the way I thought it would. I was expecting it to say something like "CardName Tapped," in the same way it might say "Checkbox checked." My code in progress can be found here on Gitlab. I added a couple classes to the bottom of the CardPanel.java file, which is where the bulk of the logic around displaying cards takes place. If I'm missing something about the way states work, or how Java interfaces with NVDA, I'd love to be enlightened. I'm certainly willing to work with my previous solution of setting the AccessibleDescription, but thought states were closer to how the accessibility API is intended to be used.Thanks all. I would google "free python books" or something along those lines and find something that clicks. Generally speaking tutors can teach you specific, concrete things, but can't teach you how to learn. Most people here are weak coders who make it to the finish line through perseverance. T.A, watercraft simulator game, and lone wolf might or might not count as simulation games depending on whether you see operating various military vehicles as a simulated activity.Ditto with at least some of the city building or incremental games, EG city inc, and the thus far not in db prosperity game on Steam which is one I need to try myself.Actually "simulation", is always a bit of a sticky genre term, in the Db it's sort of used as a catch all for games that let you drive something other than a racing car, so at the moment u mart and parkboss don't count as simulation (although I'd definitely be up for a city building or management genre category when we get more games of this type. Thing is, it's just really basic. Same old four-chord structure, no modulation. That being said, I do like the rhythms. Perhaps you could complement the off-beat nature of the Start button click with a constant grounded drum, like a kick? Also, there's no development. The song doesn't go anywhere. All the tone will do stop confusion for enemies that have different cast sounds such as monsters. You will still have to pay attention to the cast sound to know what spell is coming and use the correct barrier or dodge etc.I'll add it in the settings so it can be turned on or off.
