Hi,So I'm playing dissidia and loving it.  how doable is the second realistically?   some of the added chcaracters look super fun to use. I've always loved the smackdown 06 port and LOTR tactics.  I remember thinking that capture the flag would be the end for me, but nope.  you can just kill all the enemies and still win.

From memory, most of these you can't use at level one anyway.  Also I could be wrong about this, but I seem to remember hearing that these were in fact obtainable in game maybe in higher level playthroughs?  you just get them earlier.  Not sure how true that is though.  I do love how enemies and equipment changes the higher level you are in new games by the way.

I too recommend the revenge of the sith games, as well as star wars trilogy arcade for the sega super model 3 emulator.  knights of the old republic 2 looks doable but you'd need alot, and I do mean a lot of patience.  both the games do have keyboard shortcuts for basicaclly everything, though the secocnd game has controller support.  I wouldn't recommend it though unless you have a lot of patience or get them on the cheap.Galactic battlegrounds, does anybody have a list of hotkeys?  I got the saga bundle off gog.com and would love to play around with it.  If I think of any more, I'll let you know.

well before I start playing, i'm going to look for some good videos that explain game flow.  there's a lot to this, so I need to figure out what I'm supposed to be doing and when.  I've read the basics, but I feel like seeing it in action will be more helpful.  I do have a question though.When highlighting a card, I notice it comes up in the card overlay. when I click it, does it automatically set it on the field and tap the mana if any, or do I have to do something special for that?  luckily the game has sounds for a fair few events it looks like so once I get the hang of what those mean as well, that should help.I'm determined to figure out how to play with this and understand the game as well.

Hello,@zcline those links worked perfectly, thank you.  and thanks again for what you have been doing with this.  I play a lot of Yugioh Legacy of the Duelist, which while extremely playable also requires patience.  Especially when you get to pendulum and link monsters but is very much worth the effort.  I'm more than happy to answer any questions anybody has about that as well as this is a topic regarding tcgs.  @caparica  I cannot thank you enough for all that.  I'll be refering to it often while learning the game.  Do any of you have any decks which you would recommend for beginners?  also another question if I may.  What are your favourite ways of browsing card information through database sites?  I ask because going back to yugioh again, there are two which I use depending on the situation.  One if I want to look at what a particular card set contains, and another if I want to quickly look at info on the fly while also giving me deck ideas to try out.  Hope this made sense.  I love that there also seemingly is a mode which lets you unlock and open packs as well.  that sounds super fun to try.  It can be a bit overwhelming having all cards available at once and opening packs can be addicting when it doesn't cost money.

So I’m really starting to get the hang of dashing around, and there is nothing more satisfying than clearing the first couple of rooms simply by dashing around and having it kill everything . A quick question for anyone who has used the mirror mod, is there any way to  find out whether it is actually working? Thanks for that Pitermach, I got the bundle.One thing that is great to know is that you can use OCR to know what category you are picking.  I didn't think it would be able to read anything in these.  also everything seems to be selectable through keyboard navigation, which is good.  Looking forward to getting many needed laughs.

Have to say, this is one game I have a lot of patience to wander around in.  You almost always end up going somewhere, and once you've found the right way to go, it's hard to get lost again until your objective is cleared.  I love this game.

Hi,So from what I remember, you actually want to be going south west, not south east.  if you head in a general westerly direction in that place, you should be good.  Though this is coming from someone who managed to clear that area in about 10 minutes, but took about half an hour over two days to find the blacksmith in town. I'm currently on the next quest attempting to find the right crypt to enter.  Not sure if enemies refresh though as I think I've been going into the same one a couple times.  Also, I had no idea you could wear the king's crown from such an early stage and before defeating him.  was really surprised when I got that legendary item drop out of nowhere.That's another thing I can't remember if it was mentioned, but different rarity items have different sounds when dropping.  very useful.

absolutely!  I'm a sucker for mythology, especially greek.  Now I also want a greek god simulator or something.  The chaos you could cause would be unimaginable.  A fighting game would be amazing though.  Especially if they were as diverse as say the killer instinct roster.

I haven't heard anything, but I wouldn't be surprised with an injustice announcement, or maybe a future soulcalibur season.I've also been playing the heck out of old cacpcom beat em ups recently.  I realise they aren't fighting games per say, but they are similar enough that I figured I'd mention it here.  Having a load of fun with alien vs predator and the old aliens game by Konami.  I've never really played this genre before, so was pleasantly surprised to see many from the looks of it have stereo sound.  anybody have favourites?  I like the fact that each of the characters have different movelists as well as powerups to collect.  Not to mention it gives the fun of fighting games combined with the joy of playing a slightly different game genre so the fatigue isn't there.

Okay so I'm bringing this back simply because I've just spent the past hour playing Marvel vs capcom the original, and by god I absolutely love it.I've been going through the entire old school versus series actually, and they are all amazing in their own right.  Marvel superheroes has a neat infinity stone system and a nod to the Thanos story arc of the same name, though it's a shame you can't play as doctor doom in it.  X-men children of the attem, I love it purely for the characters that don't appear in many other games like spiral and silver samurai.   I will say that marvel two is currently my least favourite due to asthetics alone.  Especially when you've got so many memorable themes from previous games and they are all gone in this one.  It's also helpful to know who you're fighting.  When captain commando's theme hits for example, I get pumped up every time and have to stop myself from dancing along to it.

So due to work I have  very little free time until Thursday, but from the little I have played so far, this really does make a big difference. it definitely increases the playability in my opinion as you actually walk with purpose rather than constantly swinging your weapon around hoping to interact with stuff. Hi,I should clarify, when I said it works without the giffthespire mod, I mean that apparently that is a dependency to get the mod to run, but apparently doesn't need to be installed along with it.  still having the unable to select character problems though. apparently there are card decks you can select from if you do this, which is why this is a sticking point.

Hi,so after playing around some more, I noticed that the duelist mod or most likely its dependency gif the spire stops some characters being able to be used when hitting play.I wanted to access the starter decks, but couldn't do so.  oddly enough, the old start command works and will let me use all other characters I have, the other one being necromancer.  Would you be able to have a look at this at some point? I also found a rare instance of not being able to continue after an event, specifically the battle cicty event.  however going into the main window and clicking proceed appeared to fix it.  Off to play some more.  Loving how much of a different experience these mods give you.

Hi,so I've started playing around with mods, and am curious which ones you guys have found work out the box.  There is so much to work through, it might be helpful.So far, I've tried the necromancer and kombatant, both characters work brilliantly.  the two I'm looking at trying next are the duelist and wanderer trilogy.  will report back if any issues come up.so the duelist seems to work fine, some relics are apparently clickable but I'm not sure if that is overly important because a lot just let you view the card pool.  I've had no problems with gameplay as of yet though so I'm classing this as doable for now unless something comes up.I'm only trying for about half an hour or so at the moment though, as I don't have much time on my hands and want to try and work through the most popular ones.

I found the options menu, but not a turn down music option.  also, aren't the difficulty levels out of ten or something?@Assault I know what  you mean about being torn, I'm not sure which I'd get either.  I hope a collection comes out at some point though, as I'd love to play all of these.  Been trying to figure out marvel two and it's fun, however I do fall into the camp of the music letting it down.  Do I like it a lot?  Heck yes.  but I do find it disappointing that characters don't have themes in this game.  Makes the game feel cheaper than it should be and removes slightly from the immersion factor.  Don't think I'm ragging on it though, I just don't think it hit everything as much as it could have done.  The roster is amazing though, even if marvel three arguably has even that beat for variety.  Interestingly, I didn't even know captain america lost his shield until today. I know it comes back pretty quick, but found that interesting.

also use hide all to hide all windows apart from prompt and output, then use the winddow title like choices if you want that displayed also.  it's honestly very easy to deal with once you get used to it.

Hi,it absolutely works with the latest stable.  I reinstalled and found out this wonderful piece of news.  Just a heads up, don't even think of trying ps2 emulation yet on this thing, it doesn't seem to work at all.  Luckily pcsx2 is a thing, so I can still run my old games.Ive found psx rearmed is the best for ps1 also, and the dreamcast works like a charm.  I never thought I'd ever be able to play mvc2 again.

well I've been hapving a major lag problem with killer instinct lately, and I have no idea why.  Hoping that reinstalling fixes this issue, as I've not had it before, yet have had the game for years.  Could these issues be driver related somehow?  So back to this game.  I'm trying to get into it again.  I want to love it, but I honestly get so much more fun out of playing MKX, despite still sucking at that game.  I really want to have that moment with this one though.  also, please give us a buy all brutalities option.  there is no way I'm grinding random towers on brutal difficulty with the vague hope of getting one to drop.  Honestly, the progression in this game feels so much worse than Injustice 2, it's insane they're made by the same company.  Yes I know that game is a grind, but I feel so much more rewarded playing it.

I was just about to say the same thing.  just going into the window and orcing the screen works just fine.  If it doesn't, then I'm honestly not sure what to tell you, as I'm sure your resolution must be alright unless you somehow changed it.So I've figured out the orbs, thanks to the wiki.  plus doing a little simple math during a game never hurt anyone.  apart from the enemies, of course.

No, I'm using ocr on the main window and left clicking it.  you can then hit embark to start.  just remember the modifiers as you can't view them again.  though there are only three, so that's not difficult.  have you messed with ascension yet?  I think the format is:start ironclad 1, but I could be wrong.  I know they start with minor differences, but yeah.completed my first run, and now I'm gonna pull myself away ffor the night before I can't.

there should be a select all button which will select everything, like the readme in text the spire says.  then you don't have to select anything again.worth noting that there is a mod which enables achievements, else you can't earn them.  seeing as the mods we need don't change the game at all difficulty and gameplay wise, I felt like it was a good idea to find and enable that.  It's on the steam workshop as well, so search for that, as I believe it's near the top.  if not the search field will work I'm sure.

Hi,there has never been a pc version.  I'd recommend you track down a version for ps2 and look into emulating it if your pc can handle it.  Or grab an old ps2 if you want the original hardware.  I have to say I prefer smackdown here comes the pain though.

I can't get past act one today!  I'm not mad though, to be fair I died due to upgrading a card when I should have rested.    also I'm sure I took a couple cards which I didn't ever use this run.  Of course I went more towards AOE damage when the game gave me more single enemies...   Also as a note be careful of armorments upgrade.  it works on status cards as well.  to be fair, that's what killed me because I didn't check my hand before using mine, just on the turn the boss was able to wipe me out.  I was so close!

When I started playing the prequel to this game, I was using the old cloud OCR addon. I'm amazed I made as much progress as I did with the constant wait times.  When windows ten OCR came out, this game went from frustrating to amazing very quickly.also a small thing, when you're in the booster pack or deck screen, for best results, press y before ocring to focus the card in question.  It will feel a bit awkward at first, but I assure you will get used to it and you'll be playing quickly in no time.also note that now you actually get to place your cards, so when you click to place a card, there will be a second click needed to place it on the zone you want.

Hi,glad you got this.  Hope the descriptions I put previously help in some way.  they were pretty rough, so let me know if you need any further clarification.  I highly recommend keeping a card resource on hand as you play though, just in case.  Once you get used to how things work though, playing is less about OCR trouble and more about oh god, what do I do to counter this card?   Should clarify, you'll mainly need a card resource for the pendulum and link monsters.  the arrows and scales aren't read by OCR, so a quick check will do you good just to know what you can do with them.I highly recommend ygoprodeck.comthere's a search feature which you can arrow through.  Meaning if you wanted say to learn about firewall dragon, you'd start typing and can arrow through results clicking enter on the one you want.

like others have said, so if you want to aim for a rest point at 15 0, you'd type map 15 0 in that order.I love how we don't have to type play ever time anymore.  it's a small thing, but very time saving.  Also you know when you see something that makes you feel like an idiot?  All this time I've been adding up the attack damage of monsters in the window, whereas I could have just checked the line second from the top each time!  On the upside, my math got some workout. I really love how in this game, every card, relic and so on can be made useful, even if you don't think it at first.  It completely depends on your run and what deck you want.I just died to the first boss, which was completely my fault as I didn't pick up enough damage along the way.  Especially as I beat this particular boss every time before.

well this just keeps getting better and better.  I know lots of you hide all windows apart from prompt and output, but I've also found success having monster and choice windows showing when they're needed.  Still experimenting to see what works best though.

I do the same, though I do keep the choice window open when it comes up.  This is super fun.  there's loads of other mods for it too, but I don't know if they would break the one we need. maybe will play around one day after I've actually assented.  currently through act two.  the boss I found on act one was super cool.  Spoiler!the Hexaghost, where he activates after the first turn and the music ramps up.

I just realised something.  when a monster is going to accack next turn, there's a number after it.  is that the amount of damage he'll do if you don't defend?  if so, that's very useful.slightly off topic, but would any of you guys recommend getting either of the hand of fate games as well?  I've been playing a lot of legacy of the duelist as well as this, and it too works incredibly well so wondered about these too.

this is fantastic.  I can see myself being hopelessly addicted to this.  Have to do some research on upgrading and rarity and the like.One thing that would be lovely in future though is finding out what enemies are doing, as I just beat the first boss but had no idea what he was doing half the time.However, when you don't take damage, there seems to be a sound for that.  What I've taken to doing is checking my hp after every enemy turn.  This game is getting very positive press, by the way.  Hope to unlock the other characters soon.I also recommend checking the main game window with OCR from time to time for dialogue and the like.  luckily the musit isn't loud also, as there is no way to turn it down accessibly.  You can do all the other stuff though, like check the challenges and such with OCR if needed in conjunction with this amazing mod.

Okay so I've installed java, put both mods in the directory, the communication file and the text spire folder.  however when I open the executable, there's a combo box with nothing showing.  is this normal?  I thought I'd be able to read them as selected in there.

I'm in love with this game.  I have a question, how on earth did you guys make casters work before the latest accessibility options came to be?  it must have been a nightmare, whereas now it is perfectly doable.  Feel like I'm slowly learning with every game, for instance went down a level to be surrounded by about 9 enemies including two uniques, but managed to escape and take them out one by one.  Feeling great about my chances, I pressed onward, only to be rewarded with my first experience of being bannished to the abyss and promptly not being able to find an exit before being killed.  Ah well, next time I guess!  There are so many builds and gods I want to try out.  Finding dungeon sprint to be a real nice change of pace as well when I just want to experiment and don't feel like a tonne of time investment.

also in terms of your coordinates, imagine you as 0-0.  everything is relative to where you're standing, regardless of where that is.  I wonder if other forks of crawl will add this as well?  I feel like a few drinks at the weekend coupled with a Zom run might be...interesting.

I know, it's a good two hours worth of cutscenes, maybe a bit more.  Plus having the original actor for Shang makes it an instant want.So I've got them all down, but they are in a text document.  Will taht suffice for now?  I will look into headings, as it can't be that difficult.  Bear in mind that most abilities don't have the ingame descriptions, though if people want I can work on putting those in too.  It was fiddly enough making sure I had them all listed for now.  Also apart from the last three dlc characters, we do have the button combinations at least.

I've also heard that in mk11, one of the biggest issues I had being the inability to unlock brutalities, can be gotten around if I'm actually able to beat towers on the brutal difficulty.  I love finding out fun ways in which to combo into them.  In terms of MK though, MKX is a game I can come back to again and again, find new things to enjoy, and not get bored.  MK11 just isn't nearly as fun for me gameplay wise.  Especially as if you want to change your characters moves, you have to go through several menus, pain stakingly select them, and do it again and again if you want to try others.  If we could pick out moves at character selection, that would make me want to experiment more.I also love killer instinct, and SC6 because it feels different coupled with all the lore and such you can find and read.  I've also gotten into tekken, and my god Tekken three is ridiculously fun!  It's amazing how much more fluid it feels compared to 2, or is that just me?

It's also more supplementary than essential.  What I mean is unlike say the one for alter aeon, this is, at least in my opinion something very nice to have, but not something you can rely on.  Correct me if I'm wrong.  So I'm curious, what other accessibility features have the devs added apart from these cocords over time?  I'm asking because I'd love to play other roguelikes, and if I'm going to start having conversations, I would like to at least know what I'm asking for when looking for recommendations or when looking to reach out and ask for accessibility fixes.

I'll be honest, but I played some marvel 2 recently, and honestly, I don't see what's so great about it.  some clone characters, terrible sound design in the ps2 version at least and no endings.  I wanted to love it, but I think three has it beat, especially in terms of atmosphere.  Though I admit I'd love the mvc2 version of Jill instead of the one in three.

The only problem I found with it in blazblue, is that quite often it seemed as though the characters spoke over each other.  at least in the early games before fights.  I have to say that Injustice 2 definitely has some great stuff in it, some of it really feels like the Justice league cartoon.  Not all of it though obviously.  Now we need a marvel game with the 90s spiderman in it... that'd be amazing.  I went on the ride in Island of adventure, and it felt like being in the show.  So I'd love to see a fighting game like that.  Marvel 3 got close, and while there is some fun stuff gameplay wise in infinet, marvel 3 will always top it for me due to the roster.  I've not played MK11 a huge amount, so I can't comment much.  though it seems like characters like sub-zero took a step back dialogue wise.  Which is a shame, as Steve Blum is fantastic and deserves all the great lines.  Also not a fan of the replacement for Scorpion.  His delivery lacks Patrick Ceitz delivery and emmotional range.  One of the best parts of the MKX story to me was when he confronted Quan Chi.

well I can tell I'm playing a development version, a ghoul, draconian and dwarf all just appeared on level one of this latest run in the same room.  They definitely aren't supposed to be fought yet... luckily they didn't come after me, else that would have been instant death.  Gave me quite the shock.

one thing I've taken to doing is autoexploring mostly until I need to move about in combat.  Even sighted players recommend doing this, as the difference is minimal.  then press control + x to see what's around me.  I do wonder though if doors will come up on this list?  would be helpful if they do.This isn't something you're just going to get in a couple minutes.  It will take time, but the more I play, the more I realise that the info I need is there, I'm just not used to aski letters and symbols at the moment.  for instance, how do we know we're in a coridor?  I usually try and head for a corner between two walls, so I hope that is what I'm supposed to be doing.  The cordinates help incredibly though.  If I tried to play without this, I would most likely have given up so I applaud those who have. Keep at it.  read the guides, particularly the ultraviolent 4 one.  ask here and where you need to.  I sure am going to, but don't be put off if it takes a while.

I just love the amount of crazy things that can happen.  For instance, I just died due to having no real choice other than to read unidentified scrolls, imolating the creatures around me and being finished off by an unexpectedly exploding bat.  Now if I had fire resist, that wouldn't be an issue, and I see how a scroll like that can be super useful in groups.
