Just answered my own question and it's actually quite cool. When you start a new game, the first time it tries to autosave, it'll match the playtime of your autosave against your current playtime in the new session. It then asks if you want to autosave or not and if you click no, it disables the autosave feature which you can then turn on whenever you like. That's good to know. There also doesn't seem to be a way to delete save slots, only overwrite them.

No actually, the game does autosave. After the first battle, I believe. I've never actually had to use the save feature manually, which is why I was asking. lol. But thanks for checking. Yes, I know the pause menu is where the save option can be found.

At assault as far as I could see it, you choose a save slot when you go to the pause menu and click save game. You have a list of slots there and you can choose the one you want. Was abit confusing for me the first time as well.When you initially start the game, it doesn't save at all, you gotta do it on your own.Greetings Moritz.

Yes, I know you can click new game. But it doesn't let you choose which slot to save in.. so I'm wondering if it overwrites the save you already have. So far in my experience, that seems to be the case. But I've never tried manually creatinv a new save as soon as the battle loads where  have access to that menu. I'm not super far into the game, so I don't mind deleting mysave if I have to, but I would prefer not to.

Hi.I haven't tried it yet, so I can't say the following for sure.In the main menu, the cursor is on "Load game" if you have a saved game. Press Up once to new game, and you will create a new saved game. You don't need to save the game manually because it autosave very often. It saves in the slot you have loaded which means, if you are making a new game, it will save in the new slot.In the load game menu, there are space to a lot of game saves. When using OCR on that part, it shows me that I only have one game saved, and all the other are empty slots.I'll mess around with that as soon as I get time to work on my guide for the game.

Anyone know if it's possible to save multiple saves of the game? I have an accessibility demonstration coming up, and I wanted to start the game from scratch to simulate a first run, but don't want to delete my own save. And remote play is only signed into my own account right now. If I pick a slot to manually save in, the first chance I get, will it keep autosaving to that slot?

223, well, maybe not important. But I like to know how well I did in a battle, and what I unlock. Sometimes, especially early on, there are also tutorial messages after the battle is over. So to me, while the game is enjoyable without OCR, te level of enjoyment goes up much more when you do use it. It's a lot of fun though whether you OCR or not. You can also find trophy information online.

Yes, you get ranked based on overall performances, and there are bonuses and stuff as well. OCR is important no only in the upgrade menus because it helps you to know bonus objectives as well as battle screen results. And anyone who gets a ps5 and enables remote play should be able to use OCR with no problems.  I would love a guide, though, in whatever form you choose.

Hi.I'm thinking about making a spoiler free guide for the game, explaining the menus and how everything works. I haven't figured out everything yet, but thanks to all your help and to other people who aren't active on this forum, I've figured out a lot of great stuff.Such gide will take time to make, so I don't know when it'll be finish.Just one question: Would you like a guide containing all the text from the tutorials in the game? That would be possible for me to make, but it'll take long time to make. An other solution would be to just explain what the tutorials says and what to do, which would be much easier to do.My goal is to make a guide so people don't have to use OCR that much. There are a few people who can't use OCR.As far as I've figured out so far, the upgrade menu is the only place where you need OCR. Mestery files is not really that important as I thought.I might have figured out a way to explain where the different locations leads to. But I have to look more into that.I'm thinking about recording the important sounds from the game, make a list of sounds and explain what they mean. But that'll take time as well but I think it would be worth it.Is there anything else you wanna see in such guide?

Yes, because enemies will not always be in range. There's no way to tel where you need to move. And remember that each sentinel specializes in different areas... your skills may just not be able to hit a particular type of enemy such as if they're flying but your sentinel is melee oriented. Just focus on the vocal warnings you get about being in enemy threat range.

Since it's a tower defense game, there's no real moving that has to be done. IF you want to go after enemies, that's different... but generally, your starting positions are all you need, and enemies will come to you. There's only one instance where you actually have to move, and that's during the tutorial.

Hi.I've now completed all the prologs. The game is really amazing.How do i know if I have completed all the branches in a story, or if I've missed anything?Mystery files: Am I right that the up and down arrows switches between the stories, and the left and right arrows switches between the sub sections of the story?I'm not sure on how upgrading works. It seems like you can upgrade both by pressing Triangle in a battle, and also from the menu which unlocks when completing the prologs.

The settings you can adjust however you like... and OCR is good to have for game messages like tutorials, mystery files, and results screens. Otherwise, menus are pretty consistent.

@assault as far as I can tell the BOL is represented by a meter above the character portrait for each pilot. Unfortunately, I don’t think there is any numerical representation, just graphical. Using the pilot in the previous wave increases that meter and I believe if the pilots mech takes damage, that also increases the meter. so if you used a pilot in the previous wave but hardly took any damage, they’ll be able to do another battle. This is what I’ve been able to gather with the smidge of vision I have. I can’t be 100% certain, though.

Hi.at Assault I haven't found a method yet, only way to check if the character can't fight. I suppose the resting method works if the bo meter isn't that full yet you can rest and fight again, when the meter is full, the char has to rest for a fight, that's my understanding of the hole thing.greetings Moritz.

No, there's no easier way to find out where to go or where to get things from. As to the sound, you can usually tell when to press x and when to press triangle to use a keyword because the sound is different. The difference is hard to describe, but the standard sound for talking to people with x is just a beep, whereas the sound that indicates you can use a keyword sounds more like a beep with an echo on it.

Hello everyone, I just purchased and started this game and have a couple of questions please. Right now I am in the hallway at the beginning of the game. I was told that I need to bring papers over to the nurses office, and I can find the papers after some moving around or a lot of moving around. First question is how do I know when it’s just talking that I need to hit the Y in the X keys in comparison to just walking around and listening for the sound? secondly listening to super blind man’s cast, it seems that he was able to find where the paper is on the podium were immediately is there a easy way of finding or knowing what Way to go? I think I will truly like this game a lot once I get used of it. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Anyone got a clue of a good way to tell when a character is close to BOL? Which number is it? The only way I can figure that out is by waiting until it happens and the character apologizes for not being able to fight when I can press square to rest them. I thought it was supposed to be one battle, but right after pressing square then up on the dpad, they say they can go again. A little confused. lol

About story progression, you have to play a combination of battles and other stories to advance scenes and unlock more paths. IF you can only replay the same scene with Kurabe, try doing it with making other choices instead of the ones you made he first time.I haven't toyed around much with upgrading sentinels yet, so I'm not sure about that. Stirlock might be able to chime in if he sees this.

Hey there, so, i advanced quite a bit in the game, so beware of spoilers coming up.Did I get that right that I have to win in battles to unlock more story paths in the mode selection? It seams like it because I now could start amiguchys story which I couldn't before.I started out with the story of Kurabe to begin the hole thing. but I am abit stuck because I can only replay the same scene over and over again. Are the storys connected in a way that I have to play another story first to advance the one of Kurabe?I managed to get remote play to work, but the sentinel upgrade menu is a bit confusing for me.I have a bunch of weapons, but when I click on them, I have the same list of weapons again.Could someone help me with that?I already completed the first 2 waves, and some fighters already got burned out xD.Greetings Moritz.

If you can't find enemies, try either moving or put your sentinel in defense mode, last option in the main operation menu after choosing the sentinel. This will defend against incoming fire, and you'll hear sentinels announce when they're in range of a threat.

Hi.Two questions from my side.1: Do you have any hints on scanning for enemys? after finishing the prologue from Sekigahara, I had 4 sentinels in play.After a while, I couldn't find any enemys with 2 to 3 of them. Any hints for scanning?2: After finishing the fight somehow, i am now in a horizontal scroling menu where I can read upon stuff, continue the storys or look in the characters past, I suppose to replay the prologues.When I click on the story part, I can only choose segikaharas story, although I heard that from this point on, you can play all the story lines.Any hints there? I can't comment on the English voices much, since I listen to it in Japanese most of the time unless I really don't understand something. To move to the right spot, press move and then press diagonally up and right on the left analogue stick for just under a second then press x. Your character should move there, if not, the top option in the pause menu allows you to retry as many times as you like. The invasion point is a little northeast of your starting position.

After selecting asentinel, you already land on the option to select an attack. So if you press x, you will be brought into the skills list. There is no need to confirm your sentinel choice with x.

Hi.ah, thanks, that should help a toon.SStrangely though, my battle menu seams to be different.For example, I am at this second wave where you have to move first.When the battle starts, I can switch between the Sentinels of Kurabe and that other girl, something with "San" at the end.When I choose one of them, I seam to directly land on the machine gun option. I can move up and down in the menus, as well as left and right.Does left and right do the same as up and down?Because I already chose the sentinel that I wanted to control.The movement part is giving me some headaches.Greetings Moritz.

I don't have a menu guide for most of the game, but the game definitely does autosave. The menus during battle are:Left and right will switch pilots, depending on the fight. Each pilot has the same menu.- action, choose an attack- move- repair- defendThe pause menu has options such as retry or restart the event, save, load, title screen,display manual, and options. I don't remember if there was more, but those are the vital important ones. Options is at the very botom. Save and Load are the second and third options from the top, respectively. The menus don't wrap if you hold the arrow key down, so that's one way to reorient yourelf if you get lost.

Check stirlocks' streams on twitch. The links are somewhere in this thread... all of them are archived, from the very first one he did. Just remember there are spoilers galore.Controls are simple. The dpad navigates menus as well as moves you around in exploration segments. X is confirm / interact, circle is back / sprint. Triangle opens the thought cloud in the story segments and opens the terminal menu in battle. Square opens a flow chart, and r1 fast forwards through dialg and scenes that have already been viewed. That's about it.

Congrats Stirlock. I haven't been playing much lately due to other things going on, but I would agree for sure that OCR is needed for things like sentinel customizations, unless we can get a guide together in which case OCR wouldn't really be needed other than for reading mystery files and checking player results / progression rate.

Well, I just beat the game today. SO it's completely beatable. I'd recommend OCR for unlock conditions and sentinel set up. Also for story where you're moving between locations so you know where you're moving to. The game is fantastic and definitely worth experiencing.

To be fair,games like BK and Shadow Line are proof that you can have quality without professionals and full time staff as long as the passion is there.  IF every one developing audio games followed those examples, I think we'd see a lot more quality games than we have in the last couple years. But I digress.

Just for the record, the characters do actually say something when they land a hit on their target, and some attacks have impact sounds. Also, my brother says you can miss events if not careful because people move on and off screen at tines. Can't wait to get more hands on time with this. Has anyone here finished the game yet? I'm playing this straight off my ps4 because i have no setup for remote play, so the menus are confusing, in particular i don't know whats in the pause menu, the square menu during the visual novel scenes, or the options, or that menu when you finish a section of the game.On a completely unrelated note, and thie is way off topic but just wanted to give a heads up that i did snag a copy of dungeon punks and it doesnt seem too hard especially if you have a reading solution, so will discuss it after I hav more time with it. Appologies for that quick psa.

Finally got to play the game, and i gotta say that i absolutely love it! I also vot stuck in the second combat section but i figured it out. Story is as convoluted as ever but thats par for the course, and not at all a bad thing. Man why can't audio games be this good?

Yes, it is. As Orin said, movement in this game is primarily side scroling with a bit of vertical movement into the background or foreground, and everyone who you can talk to is indicated by an audible beep when you walk past them. I will say that just watching playthroughs of this game doesn't make its playability very clear. IT makes a lot more sense once it's actually in your hands.

On another note, did you guys find any inaccessible parts of the game yet?I listened to about 30 minutes of a let's play to get an idea of the game,and if I got this right, in the first prologue of Kubera or what ever the guys name was, you have to walk around the school to find certain people.Is that part actually doable?I still have to hunt down a ps4, so can't try it out yet.Greetings Moritz.

Hi.Umm, lol ok, are you sure about that? Last time I had to set up a ps4, we had to manually enable that the game sounds come through the headphones, not just the chat audio.Also when I look on google, I always see that you need to enable it manually.Unless this chaned with an update.Greetings Moritz.

You don't have to set thatup at all, but remember that if using the headphone jack on the controller, the initial user selection screen will not be fed through that output. The audio only starts outputing after the account has been selected.

Hi, thanks for your answers regarding the PS4.Well, than I guess I will have to experiment bit, it will either run with only the power supply and the headphones connected to the controller, or with remote playy enabled.A shame as well that you firstly have to set up the sound so that it gets transmitted through the controller and not just the chat audio, have to check again how I set this up when I get a PS4.Greetings Moritz.
