Re: Audio Game Survey

[[wow]].Good to see a new gamer.I should stress that your question on pc or mobile should be split. It promises people on pc that games will be on pc.While I do test for sonnar, I don't as yet have a smart phone.I enjoy pc games mostly.Next, not everyone actually buys games in euros. For me, us dollars are probably a little less expensive to me than euros, a us dollar is round half an nz dollar.A euro is well slightly different, I think its like half a dollar here a euro.If I could buy games outright maybe. However, to be honest mobile and pc would be what I used.As for pc, desktop games have been where I have traditionally played but if you really want to stay with the app, a windows 10 app could be that way I am not sure how it all goes, but there are not exactly any blind games on windows app just yet and your market could go that way to.

Re: Audio Game Survey

hi -- Mikko. I don't think anyone found the survey insulting or has objected to being asked about their level of site or their gaming habits. The problem is simply  with how your survey is written, the question about site is confusing to answer, e.g "Are you  blind?" and then "are you visually impaired high level" does this mean the person is visually impaired but still has a lot of vision, or does it mean the person is visually impaired to a high level and doesn't see much. It would've been clearer if you'd just asked howh sight a person had. Similarly with your other questions, your "perfect game that meets all your needs" needs a bit of clarification, for example, would it meet my need for a fast action game? or would it meet my need to chat to others online and be part of an online world? or would it meet my need to play strategically and solve puzzles. It's not that myself or anyone here minds answering questions about games, heck that is what this forum is for, it's just your questions are not really asked in a way that is easy for people to answer. A better way of gaging interest might be to just give us a bit more information about what your working on, and ask people straight out what they think, how much they'd be willing to spend on the game etc. Hope this helps.

Re: Audio Game Survey

Hi everybody.I'm sorry if some of you have found our survey confusing or insulting. I think the biggest reason for this is because our native tongue is not English...We know the basic words of course but might not be able to form the questions so that they would be emotionally satisfying, if you know what I mean. The reason for asking about the sight (being blind or not) is because the games we're about to make are targeted for us. In my experience there is no real market for audio games among sighted people so we try to find out if there is a real market among us blind  A market so big that it is interesting for investors. Our games are going to be big professional productions that involve months of hard work for many people. We will start final development only if we know that the money invested on us can come back in the end. Hope you understand the marketing perspective...This way we get better games in the end.Since the survey is open and can be answered by anyone, the only way for us to know about your sight is by asking. I'm sorry if this is insulting for some...I'm blind since birth myself for me my blindness and talking about it is not a problem. I'm sorry I didn't take account this possibility.Anyway, I kindly ask those of you who didn't answer to the survey to do so. This way you help our game development and isn't better games something we all want ?https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIp … w/viewformAll the best to everybody, keep on playing!-- MikkoMyTrueSound

Yeah what Dark said.  I don't want to fill out the survey yet because the visual impairment question is confusing, and the "Yes no" to are you blind or visually impaired question is weird.  Like do you answer yes for Blind and no for VI?  I'll totally fill out the survey, just would like clarification on questions to be able to give you the best info

Re: Audio Game Survey

I have completed your survey, though I am probably not the ideal example since I both spend money and time on games partly because of the job I do for this site (not that it is a problem, I likely would do anyway). There are a few survey questions which were a little odd. For example you ask for the level of visual imparement, and say "visually impared, low level" or "visually impared high level" but in this case do you mean "low level  = low level of vision or ", ie. a high level of visual imparement. While asking how much people would pay for a game and about platforms is more than reasonable, your questions are slightly black and white. For example, you say "how many days a week would people play a perfect game which fits all their needs" without giving details of the game itself, game type etc. Likewise, you ask about "playing games with other people" without  indication of the type of games people would be playing or what sort of interactions would be involved. I for example an a solo exploration type and not as much a big fan of competitive pvp gaming, while others like competition or cooperation, so I would be far more likely to play a game with extensive single player options or cooperative options than one with a heavy pvp focus. This isn't to knock what your doing, I'll be the first to try out any new games available, just to note that you might consider rewording the survey so as to get more comprehensive data.

Audio Game Survey

Hi gamers! We started a new company called MyTrueSound. Our goal is to make audio games for mobile devices.I've been a gamer throughout my life but have never been involved in game design.Anyway. I can't tell you details yet but we're doing something that's completely in a different level than the games on the market now. Much closer to console games.Anyway, game development takes time and effort...Also investor funds to really be able to concentrate on the essentials and not compromising the quality by any means. That's why we need information. We need to know that there is a real need for better audio games. That's why I ask you to take a few minutes time to answer some questions. We will pick three lucky ones among all who have taken the survey...The three lucky ones will gain full access to all our games for three years as soon as we are in the stage of releasing games.https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIp … =0=1All the best to everybody and thanks for your interest...And keep up playing !-- Mikko

Hello Mikko, I've been developing games for the Amazon Echo/Google Home for about two and a half years now. If you haven't already looked at it, I would suggest you consider that as an option. Monetization is hard, but not impossible. I'm just catching up on a couple of threads here discussing what is available. That should give you a general idea of the sort of things that are being done there.

Re: Audio Game Survey

Hello and welcome to the forum, we're definitely interested in more games available.I'm afraid I couldn't get the question about "how many times a week to play the game to answer correctly, everytime I tried submitting the form it told me it was a required question, and yet there didn't seem to be any radial buttons or list boxes or anything to answer it. I also would suggest that your question related to a "multiplayer game where you meet people" needs  to be a little more specific, especially about whether your game relates to a game that is competitively played between players, or between organisations of players, a game where players cooperate together to achieve their goals against some sort of environment or hazard, a game which is primarily social and where the gaming is an adjunct to the social networking, or a game that attempts to satisfy many playing types and styles.I myself am an explorer type. I love quests, love trying out aspects of the game and seeing how far I can get and what I can find on my own. I don't mind saying hello to others whilst online,  or cooperating with them occasionally, although I'd probably think twice about playign a game which had enforced  cooperation for example a game where players couldn't progress  joining player run guilds or the like. But I probably would not join a   was heavily competitive, or one which was primarily social. So it would be nice if there was a little more information about what kind of game your planning, as well as perhaps a way to answer that question about how many days a week to play the game. . I'll look forward to learning more of what plans you have.

Audio Game Survey

Hi fellow gamers! Great to be a part of this community. Great to realize that after all there's lots of people like me (blind players). We started a new company called MyTrueSound. Our aim is to make immersive and interestig audio games for the blind. Our games are gonna be played on mobile devices, most likely iOS based...Anyway. For a new company designing games from scratch takes lots of time and effort so before we start, we have to know that there's a need for the stuff we do. That's why I ask as many of you as possible to fill out the survey (link below).https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIp … =0=1Thanks very much for your interest. Hope our company can start the real work soon and deliver games we all are gonna be happy with. All the best to everybody.-- Mikko
