So I'm bringing this topic back from the dead to say that infil's guide is very much readable, you just need to screen refresh, insert +f5 with NVDA and the movelist will come up such as fireball D DF hp and such.  It's incredibly useful.

@122I know your exact problem and it's one that's easily fixed.  You're actually entering the Shadow Lords menu, a (currently) inaccessible portion of the game due to the RPG/Crafting+text nature of the mode in addition to the main fighting mechanics.The devs are aware of the issues with the mode, though at present it's unknown as to what will happen regarding accessibility of this particular area.To get to the actual single player menu, go down one in the main menu and press A.  You should be good to go from there.  If you get lost, going down one when you're put into the main menu (say after exiting the multiplayer men) might not always put you back on single player, just be aware of that as you go.Hope that helps.

Did anything ever come of this?  I found one, but it seems different from my copy of the game. I see single player, but if I go into that, I think I 3 different options. I know the first one is continue, but I can't tell what the rest are. Then their's the guardians...thing, and the shop, and I don't know what everything else is. I kind of just have to guess my way through it, and go into fights with no guardian equipped, so pretty sure I'm getting crushed because of this.

Actually I just confirmed the clang at least on my computer is the shadow lords thing. My how I wish that were accessible. Fro what little I heard of it, it sounds cool!. Once I got into single player mode and chose my character I could not figure out what to do from there. I expected to choose the computer's character, but it's late here and my brain is tired lol! I was going to practice e a bit before bed but maybe I need sleep first. Lol!

Yeah I noticed that. M aira agent was having me go I think it was down all the way to get to stuff,  We did manage to get stuff adjusted and one of them is going to hopefully work with me once I'm done with my trips to get something written for the pc.. Right now I don't have the time due to  travles to do that and I need my minutes, maybe next month if I do get this agent again we can work on something for about 10 minutes.

To those asking about PC version options etc.I can give you a useful piece of information.  If you are starting on exit, you can hit a to confirm this (if you hear a clank, you're on exit, press B to back out of that).  Then go down 2 to get to single player, or 3 for multiplayer.As for adjusting options, on single or multiplayer options in the main menu, click once, then go up one, then after clicking again, go up 2.  From there, you should be in the audio menu.If you require any further assistance with the game, please let me know and I'll see what I can do.

By the way for example on my pc version the first thign that is highlighted is exit according  to what an aria agent told me. We are planing on working to put somethingn together as well, at least the menu structor, she is a sighted gamer. Ok, I hope I get this agent again. Lol!

@110I believe the guide in question was written before the S3 update.  However, mine, in its current state, is post-s3.  When I have the time to clarify what you need etc I can get help to write it all down for you if you like.@112If he says he can't see the signatures, I believe that could be one of 2 things:1. the previous poster has their window minimised.  Maximising it might solve the problem.or2. it's an element in the account settings which can be toggled to show or hide user signatures.Just saying.

So exhibition is essentially the equivalent to player matches... and if ranked is the same as in any other game, you can't invite people. Gotta try online some time and see how the netcode is with my rig.

In ranked matches, the basic gist is you get points for wins and losses and get thrown back to the search game option after every match, but in exhibition you get options for rematch and stuff and can theoretically play against the same person for as long as you want. Of course, ranked has more little bits as well like qualifiers. You have to do 10 matches and after that you qualify for I think it's either bronze, silver, gold, or killer tiers. Sightless has told me that a slightly different format happens if you end up coming against an opponent with gold or killer tier status. Normally, you play one match and it takes you back to the ranked menu, but that changes a bit when you come across the higher ups.Also, I don't know if you can invite people to play in ranked matches, but in exhibition you get that option and that's what makes it so awesome.

You can buy all the characters on the microsoft or xbox store websites.@sightless, that was pretty much the solution I came up with as well... but audio options aren't the only crucial ones for me. lol Loved your menu guide draft, by the way. Submenus would be appreciated as well though. also, what is the difference between exhibition and ranked matches?

That's really interesting. I know this is slightly off topic, but how does the ps4 controller help? I'm really curious because I am still a fan of that platform's controllers, yet haven't really had the chance to test out a ps4 controller and am curious to know how it's different from the ps3, or even the xbox one. @93/94PC has at least one extra option, which might be your problem.  It's possible you've remapped something but the PS4 controller isn't the best thing to use with this game anyway and it could be an issue with the DS4 controller/driver itself.I've played the game on PC, though it hardly runs well enough on my rig at the moment due to my lack of a proper graphics card.  As I hope to get one in the not too distant future, I'll let you knwo how that all ties in if I get the chance and how the PC options work.Edit: I believe you should go down 5 instead of 4 on PC as there are display options somewhere in the way of you getting to audio.

And as a double post, has anyone tried playing this game on pc?  Either I messed up options somewhere or it's the ds4 driver... but for some reason I don't appear to have a heavy punch button. It appears that everything is mapped correctly on my ps4, except for that one button... which makes me think I did something in the game. but the DS4 tool might be the problem as well.

Keep in mind this is a work in progress too I might ahve some stuff wrong, but I've put a star sign (*) by everything I know is correct.*announcer type: default, classic, and aria if it's unlocked. I'm not sure how this unlocked though, it just worked on my end eventually.-announcer volume-sound effect volume*hud volume turn this up to get kv meter and shadow meter sounds*music volume-voice volume*ambience volume

@86I've put this together from existing documents I already have.  Help and options still needs to be done, but I can look into getting that all written out soon.You can view the menu structure, such that it is, hereShadow Lords is unlikely to be playable in the near future.  The mode has similarities to an RPG (namely in crafting items, consumables and use of Guardians to help you in the fight).  Unfortunately even though the menus don't wrap, there's no way to tell what element you're on as they will change dependent on what you have available.  All the missions are text-based narratives, other than a few very much scattered cutscenes.  The multiplayer also requires you to play Shadow Lords to unlock items etc to use within it.  Basically, until it's accessible, which I will likely post information on if/when it happens, don't bother (and I don't say t
 hat lightly).I hope that's enough to be getting on with, if not, then please feel free to let me know what else you need.

hmmm, I don't remember every menu off by heart.But, the top option is shadow lords but honestly, it's annoying because after a while everything becomes text based and you don't know what powers are active, some enemies have different powers to you.Down one from shadow lords is single player. In single player, you've got fight, but if you go up one ou've got options. If you press a on options then go down four times you should be in audio options but I don't know if that's the same for the pc.In the fight menu you've got single fight vs cpu, shadow lab, story mode, survival mode, I don't know what's underneath that.If you go down one from single player, you get multiplayer. Then if you click fight in that menu, you get:-two player vs, you and another person in the same room,-exhibition match online,-ranked match onlineThere's a way to do lobbies as well but I'm not too sure h
 ow at the moment. If you go into exhibition, the first option will immediately search for a match, but if you want to invite, go down until you can't go anymore. Because this is the only menu that doesn't wrap.From there, a dialogue should pop up that you can use NVDA with, apparently, to select friends. I'll look into the kinnect calibration, or maybe invest in a eadset... just don't want to get one for xbox1 specifically if I'm not going to be keeping the console. lol And as an aside, Jago's theme is now one of my favorite tracks in the game. Kind of want to sit down and mess around with the dynamic music system and see how many different track samples I can coax from the game. lol

The official Killer Instinct Forums over at ultra-combo.com are read by the devs and listened to, which is how the audio cues got added in the first place.  You can also interact with other members of the community, but make sure to mention my name thereas "@sightlesskombat" - the mention system works the same as twitter and you get an email notification when someone mentions you in a post or replies etc.  If you mention me then I will then be able to back you up/join in the discussion, as well as the fact that I'd say I'm relatively well-known there and I can vouch for you.With the kinect, you have to turn on Kinect mic for chat, you'll probably have to calibrate it first though, which is just an audio check if I remember correctly.  Turn your speakers up loud, prepare for an earfull of noise and then wait until that's done and go from there.  Anyone else feel free to correct me if I@m wrong.

I really should remember to edit... just with hours going by between posts, I don't tend to remember that my posts lead into each other so just end up writing new ones. Will see what I can do about a headset, however. I do have a kinnect around as my cousin lent that to me as well... just have no idea how to use it. And looking forward to fighting with you as well... but it won't be much of a fight, at least at first... not when I'm fighting against someone who's obviously invested much more time than me into the game! lol By the way... is there a way, other than twitter, of contacting IG and offering positive feedback as well as accessibility suggestions? I figure the more people do it, the more likely they are to listen... and I wouldn't be suggesting anything specific, just to let them know that they have some blind fans, and I'm now firmly one of them... but I knew I'd fall in love with this game. I've experimented with fulgor enough to see what you mean by multiple playstyles... but trying to figure out how to link combos together for him seems to have a bit of tricky timing involved. Thanks for the difficulty option tip, I'll give that a go later... and will also check for your request on xbox. Depending on what timezone you're operating in, we can probably make something happen relatively soon... though I also have no headset to voice chat with, unfortunately. And starting next week, my time is going to be pretty evenly divided between this and Street Fighter V. hahaha.

@AssaultI've added you, at least I hope I have.  If you didn't get the request, let me know and I'll send you my gamertag.Adding me on Skype isn't an option as I don't use it, though myself and Aaron will be happy to bring you into the loop regarding training sessions etc when we have those and see you on your Xbox.In terms of difficulty, you can press Y to get into what Aaron refered to (and what I also term) as the Y Menu.  In here you can adjust the timer and, depending on where the menu is activated, the difficulty.  The Y Menu is only available in CHaracter Select screens.  To adjust the time or difficult press right or left to move between the options.There is currently no way to tell what timer or difficulty setting you've selected, though I hope that can be fixed in a future update as the developers are already aware of this problem to a partial degree.  Difficulty is the second option down a
 nd is only available in CPU VS screens.  To make things easier, press A 3 times from the main menu on single player to be taken into player vs CPU.  Now press Y, wait for the whoosh, press down one, then adjust as desired.  I can't remember how many settings there are off the top of my head, so I'd recommend raising it gradually until it starts putting enough of a fight for you.I currently main Fulgore myself, have Aganos as a current secondary (though I'm thinking of maybe putting Riptor along with Fulgore as a double main and keeping Aganos as a pocket character), a pretty solid Jago and a pocket Spinal round out the characters I play most, though I know Thunder to a degree as Aaron will attest in addition to a few other characters.I'd be happy to train you in Fulgore usage to the extent I can, he's a little tricky, but he's worth the trouble once you get used to him and he has a few quite interesting options.  That a
 nd he got me to Killer rank in online... Oh, forgot reasons.  I use Fulgore because of his range of playstyles (you can playhim as a rushdown/agro character with mainly blade dash) or as a zoner (with the varying speed of fireballs).  That and his telport is pretty good, though it's punishable to a degree.HTH.

Aaron, most people probably have Jago stashed up somewhere to pull out if they're looking for an easy character... lol. I just honestly like his backstory and his techniques are easy for me to grasp as a primarily street Fighter player. If we ever play online ,we may have an issue there.  But once I find a good working movelist... I'll definitely be experimenting more with characters of similar style.

hello,Since i am playing killer instinct, i like sabrewolf a lot. Since when i attack with the x-button and when i keep pressing that button the attack will end in a few hits performed fast after each other. Together with this i quite like to press the left and right trigger when the attack nears it's end or hold the left bumper to end with a few heavy hits.Yesterday i pressed the left bumper and left trigger at the same time by accident with sabrewolf and i didn't hear the name completely, but it is another type of attack wich will be performed.No, i will admit that i like sabrewolf a lot.greetz mike

My main is Jago too as I like his options for short and long range. M second main is probably agarnos although he's quite tricky to play as in some situations, he's also quite robust and has an interesting set of tools at his disposal. Going further down the list, I often bring out Thunder because some of his attacks have a sort of medium range to them, and that command grab is useful. Those are my top 3.

Ok, question for everyone here, especially the hardcore fighting game and KI fans. Who is your main and why? Right now I main Jago when playing offline simply because he plays most similarly to your average fighting game character, but I'm looking into maining someone else... either Fulgor or Omen is what it's looking like right now. Wish I could find a move list for both of them that's accessible.

Hello,@assault: combo breaking without site is definitely quite tricky, although the other week when me and sightless were playing I somehow got into a state where I kept reading their combos and they kept reading mine, so there were many, many combo breakers triggered. We've also had points in matches where we've had an absolute standoff, one of them was with Jago and Spinal, I think I was Spinal. Well, let's just sa this standoff went on for around thirty seconds or more, it was quite the tension builder.

@sightless, I wouldn't say I'm personally judging IG harshly, just basing my opinions on past experiences. I'm curious as you sound like someone in the loop whether there's something specific you did or an event attended, or whether you're just a really, really big fan who invested time in playing and contacting the developers. lol I didn't mean to sound like I was judging harshly, but with game companies I tend to be very skeptical because of past records. Skullgirls was a huge step in the right direction and if there was anything I could do to join in the advocacy for KI accessibility I would, the only reason I never expressed much interest before is because I didn't have a xbox1 to play it on.  I'd also love to train with you or join in this event. But the most pressing question on my mind is still this, since you seem to be the one most in

I feel I need to apologise as essentially the main advocate for KI accessibility (or rather the original) as others have followed in my wakeand say that I should've followed this topic more closely.@Rattlehead, I'd be very happy to train you once I have the time relatively free - I'll let you know when that is.I won't give my gamertag out here, but I'll add those who have their new tags on here (and you can add me in return).  That way, I know who I've added and I don't have to worry about people randomly adding me from the forum without me letting them have the tag.I'll say this, don't ignore the possibility of a PC accessible version. The guys at IG listened to me when I ranted on their forums during season 2 and added in the audio options as a consequence a few patches later, I'm in contact with invidiausl and am trying to get a few things going (though I can't say what, and won't even i
 f you ask me what they are).  As the saying sometimes goes, with Killer Instinct, Never give up, Never give in, Never surrender and Never go down without a fight.  Basically, @Seal and @Assault, it's not over till it's over and I'm surprised that you two are both judging so harshly a developer who has been the most transparent with regards to near enough everything they do.  For example, NRS Only added their access in because Rattlehead was at Evo (or a similar event) and was able to talk to them in person.  However, IG went one step further and hadded in extra cues later down the line, changing them based on fan feedback etc.  Moreover, they release actual detailed patch notes that are useful, in comparison to NRS' convoluted attempts.  Finally, KI's DLC track record (in terms of installation proceedures within the time I've played their game) have been nearperfect, whereas NRS, time and time again, have really made a moun
 tain out of a molehill, sometimes leaving players stranded for days at a time without the DLC character recently released.Enough about NRS VS IG though, I'll just say that if you guys want help and I'm free to train with you, I'll be happy to try and impart knowledge that I've picked up.I was thinking about organising an event at some point when we're all free, where we all fight in a lobby as blind/VI players and would be willing to look into running it when if there's enough interest.I look forward to fighting with you all in the coming months.

Hello,To invite someone to a match:from the main menu, go down once from single player to multiplayer, click it.Click fight, which is the first option.From there, go down once to exhibition.Once connected, you'll be in a menu that does not wrap, so it's easy to find the invite option: it's the last one. When you click it, narrator should start talking after a few seconds. Highlight the person you want to invite, then go up until you see the invite button and press a. Make sure the combo box in that window says game.

@seal, you should know better than to expect big companies to listen... lol. We've gotten lucky with microsoft being willing to listen about accessibility, but development like those of skullgirls is not the norm, far from it. Most people could care less if a small marginal group of people want to play their game accessibly. But I agree with you. It definitely wouldn't be hard to do... and I wouldn't have this game if I didn't borrow my cousin's xbox. hahaha.@death rattlehead, yeah we should definitely chat and maybe hit up a match or two if we can figure out how. Hmm, I'm definitely waiting for KI when it will hit PC. Buying X one only for one game is really bad idea so it's good it will launch on win 10 in march.I tried to contact with Iron galaxy, posting on the forums but as always mostly it's ignored and probably We can forget about PC accessible version.It's again that stupid situation where something what can be done easily will be not.

I play all my fighting games on pad... and I'd love to get into higher level KI. Lately all my fighting game passion is coming back, and while I won't be going to any tournaments... I'd like to have a fun scrap with some blind players. My question is still how to perform breakers without sight by just listening, since KI doesn't have the audio detail SF does so I can't tell what strength of buttons are being used. And the announcer thing is still bugging me. lol But if you could post that guide, it'd definitely be appreciated. Also, feel free to skype if you want a blind fighting game geek to chat with about games... I'm not as good as any of the people you train with, though I'd love to talk to some of them... but I could probably offer some insights from a blind fighting game player's perspective. lol

Hello,You have to just keep playing to eventually unlock the different announcers, and it doesn't give an audio notification. I eventually went into options and found classic announcer, by doing the following:From the main menu, tap a on single player.Next, go up once to options.Next, go down four times to audio.THe first option you should land on will be the announcer type, move right to select classic if it's unlocked.It was hilarious because a few weeks later out of nowhere, the Aria announcer appeared, and she wasn't in that menu for I don't even know how long, so I don't know how I unlocked that third announcer, who appeared to the right of classic. Me ans sightless were playing and he asked me to check as he knew I was having issues finding it as it wasn't showing up, and suddenly it appeared and to this day it's baffled us.

Figured that out on my own last night. hahaha. But unfortunately, there's no way to find out how much of a download has finished. Also, I can only find the second KI classic game, not the first one, for some bizarre reason. But it's installed now, anyway.Smoothgunner, the adapter is by brook accessories. Look them up and you should find buying options no problem. I'm still looking for a season 2 movelist and how to switch the announcer, just for a new change.

Hi,@assaultI will add a few notes to the instructions aaron just given:1. As aaron said, open up the games and apps option from home. or with the right trigger2. Open up the games section of the games and apps option, when it opens up in another screen, apps for example, hit the left Arrow and you'll navigate out of the apps section, find games by arrowing up and down and open it with the right Arrow.3. You will end up in the list of games you already have. hit the right Arrow again and you will hear: "ready to install xxx" where the xxx is the name of the game wich is ready.4. select an option with the a-button and confirm you want to install it.now it will show up in the cue.I haven't discovered how it is possible to find out how far a download is. Hello,From your xbox dashboard, press the right trigger. This should put you on "my games and apps."Click it.Next, keep moving around until you find a thing that says ready to install. The two games are in that part. It's not part of the tabs that say games, apps, and queue, but it's kind of part of the games list. It's a bit hard to explain.

The half circle is not the same here, though I'm sure someone probably has a half circle ultra. hahaha. I haven't yet figured out how to use instinct mode in the middle of an ultra to cancel it, I'll have to try it out. Jago is the only character in season 1 that I like, so we'll see who else I enjoy playing as in season 2. lol

Hello,@assault: the cpu can use any character, including season 2, in modes like survival. Survival's good if you want to fight all of the cast with whatever character you want.@pelantus: each character has their own ultra command. For example, when the announcer says danger, with Jago, start a combo but instead of ending it with a special, do his tiger furie command and press left bumper. This is a sort of right down right left bumper thingy, it's quite hard to explain. I think it's called a half circle. In the fighting community, it's called a dp which stands for dragon punch motion. It is not the same as the endokuken motion, which is jsut down, right, and punch. THis one is right, down right, punch, but this time, it's the left bumper. With combo assist, it's just the left bumper. Once an ultra starts, if you have instinct you might be able to activate it and keep your combo going during the ultra, and go in for a double ultra as well.
  Sometimes if you are lucky you can hit your opponent with a shadow move after an ultra just before the announcer says ultra, as the last musical note plays, but this doesn't always work. I managed to do a double shadow endokuken at the end of an ultra once, somehow.

hello,as fo'r ultra combo's, i discovered yesterday a way of performing them.1. i played with sabrewolf, but i asume it can be done with each character.2. keep fighting with your opponent till you finish it off once.3. keep fighting the second round till the basic music changes, i discovered that when my opponent is near death, allthough with sabrewolf, that the music changes.4. start hitting your opponent again, and when you hear your opponent's deathcry, don't stop hitting but hold the left bumper.I don't know if there are other ways of performing ultra combo's, but this is the way how i got three of them.for other questions, i don't know the answers ... appologies.hthgreetz mike

I don't know, since I don't have moves to experiment with at the moment. Jago is my go to at the moment because he's pretty much your basic fighting game archetype character, and I don't know enough about other characters backstories, playstyles or anything to pick. But if you could chip in with any more info, I'd appreciate it. I'm really looking forward to this guide now... as though I can pick up much of the game based on the many fighting game fundamentals I do have, I'd like a bit more info as to what I'm doing. And one remaining question... how do ultra combos and instinct mode work? The ultras seem to be hard to pull off as sometimes I don't get any hint that I've performed anything special, yet the announcer tells me that I did, and sometimes I hear the afore mentioned special combo actually happen.And last question, at least for now... how can we perform combo breakers consistently with no sight? Unlike Street fight
 er, all six attacks sound the same... and I'm happy to say that SF 5 retains the tradition of having each punch and kick sound distinct. haha.

It should still work if you buy it from the online store on Xbox.comSorry I haven't chipped in for a while.  If you clicked an s1 character, you won't hear narrration - narrated cutscenes were introduced for S2 characters only.Accessible move lists that aren't confusing in notation are hard to come by, but I'm trying to pull something together as prt of the aforementioned guide.  What character were you thinking of playing?

well, new case, old problem. lol Seems like because my console's location is set to united states because of narrator, I can't use my Canadian credit card... when I go to buy the season 2 combo breaker pack it needs me to add a credit card. What should I do? If I buy it through the website does it still work once I've made the purchase? Or do I have to switch to Canada, buy the thing, then switch back?

Anything on story mode? When I clicked on what I believe to be story mode, the section option in the fight menu... didn't give me the narration I expected when I picked my character of choice.

Hello,I can't recommend any accessible movelists at the moment, some of them seem very confusing. As to buying choices, ultra editions give you early access to characters as well as the other perks, but now that season 2 is over, you might as well just get the combo breaker pack unless you want the port of killer instinct 2 classic. As for some menu guides, here's some more info.TO get to practice mode:from the main menu, press a on single player, then go down once to the option called master.From there, the first option is dojo, but the second option is probably what you want, the practice mode, where you just pick two characters and experiment with their moves. I don't know about the pause menu is this mode and how you set the AI to do different things though.Also, to get to survival mode, press a on single player, then a for fight, then go down twice. There's a lot of achievements in this mode, one for winning a match with a cha
 racter you haven't played as, and one for winning ten survival matches, in a row, per character, so with jago you can get two achievements if you do ten matches in survival mode.Also, there's something called the y menu which lets you set timer and difficulty, you press y on the character selection screen. I am not entirely sure of it's layout, I think the survival version of this menu is slightly different.

Your trial of killer instinct never ends. You simply only get one character to play as which rotates out as time goes on. I hope other people will chime in who have more knowledge about the game, now that I have everything up and running... more menus, recommended buying choices, and any recommendations on good accessible movelists?

hi@assault,When the  cue still states killer instinct is in it, it is still downloading. you can reach the cue by arrowing down in the home screen, going to my games and apps, hitting the a button. It is very possible the system already opens up one of the three options contained in that menu, so when this is the case, hit the left Arrow button till you reach the said menu. Arrow down to cue and press the right Arrow again and you can see what's in the cue.I also can't figure out how far the download actually was, but just wait and it will dissapear out of the cue at some point.I don't know for sure, that when you buy the pack with all the fighters, if the game will register as well, when i view it the logical way, i don't think so, since the game is free during january, but i asume we should still buy killer instinct when this free trial is over.But i don't think you will lose the add-on you purchased, that would be
  rude and absolutely not fair when xbox requires you to buy the add-on again with KI it's trial period being over after january ...But i also had to get used to the system, i used the very first xbox when i was sighted, and had no clue how to operate this system with me being blind now. But i discovered that with trying and a bit of patience (wich i normally don't have a lot of hehe), you can discover a lot within the menu's.And about the store, however the store on the console is rather accessible, in my oppinion, i wasn't able to purchase mortal combat x via the console.I got a message that a different payment method was required. I asked in another topic how i could fix it, but in that case the subject was music and not games, but sightless suggested me to look in the store ofhttp://www.xbox.comAnd just at that point i wanted to purchase skullgirls for xbox as well, and i figured out that i wa
 s able to buy it via xbox.com as well.The only difficulty i found was, that you should pair your PayPal account via the microsoft account portal, wich i don't have a link of now, just google it and you will find it.In the case of a creditcard is more easy, just try to buy a game, scroll down and you can change your payment information, and eventually you will find a add a creditcard button. Ok. sorry for the continuous stream of posts... now that I have season 1's ultra edition with all the characters, trying to decide what to do next. Other than the costumes and the killer instinct 2 port, is there any point in getting the season 2 ultra edition? Or should I just get the combo breaker pack?
