Re: judgement day Their last post on twitter was about the super egg hunt plus giveaway, so nothing new yet. Liam himself, however ,does still actively post on twitter and do the nhb radio show, so he's still around, and on his own page he is tweeting about a breakout game that would be kind of like a revisit to sphere, but more advanced. As a side note we have found two versions of sphere, and the full version of super shot. But anyway back on topic, that's just stuff I've heard, hopefully future hopes for another great game, but at least he hasn't left game development entirely, though I doubted that he would in the first place. Re: judgement day @Genewarner Well lol it wasn't entirely intended as a complete snipe against Jaws, and yes that was kind of in the wrong place, but since @afsilva had posted about buying vs getting cracked copies of Jaws, I reiterated that point as well as pointed out that there are alternatives so that getting a patched version of jaws is not the only way to get a free screen reader. As for Judgement Day, both of you are absolutely right we have to be patient as he releases this game for free. In deed I actually bought this game back in the end of 2012, however I have since gone through 2 reinstalls on my pc, and replaced it with a macbook pro, so thus, of course, have lost my key. I asked for a replacement key and didn't get a response. Am I gonna be impatient and complain? No. I may send a request for a new key again, but I won't complain of him being lazy or anything, since after all he's not. Re: judgement day I agree with Dark, it would be great if there was a free version of Judgement Day available so I could play the full game and not just the demo. The author has said he is working on removing the demo limitations so all I need to do is be patient. The last thing I'm going to do is slap him in the face by going out and getting an illegal copy. That's not the way to show your gratitude and thanks for the game and for thinking of us enough to make it free now that he's no longer selling it. He is under no obligation to do that, so be properly respectful and thankful that he's willing to do it. Also realize that this game is not his only obligation, things like earning a living so he can have a roof over his head, clothes on his back, and food on the table must take greater priority than a game that he will not make any more money on.For those people like me and some others here that want the full game but didn't buy it before it went off the market, all I can say is be patient. On the subject of buying vs downloading jaws, well there's really no excuse anymore because, well if you want a free screen reader that is better and more lightweight then just go for nvda and forget the whole jaws matter! As for music, that's also true. While I am personally not a fan of copyright laws and the fat corporations and lawsuits getting involved, I do believe anyone who does something in that field whether it be music, game development, anything, should at least get money to support their work. In deed, that is exactly the reason for the no cracks policy. He may still offer replacement codes, but Liam is in the process of turning it into freeware. This game being a registrable demo, he must, unlike super liam which was a key-only full version with a separate demo, remove all the demo limitations, including all levels, dificulties, trophies, everything. So it will take longer than sl to make it freeware. If you don't register, the game *should* run just fine in demo mode. Also, I downloaded Judgement Day from the link in the db, and after installing it it has a Reg.exe file which, according to the readme, should be run if I purchased the game from L-Works. So should I run reg.exe? I didn't purchase it, I just downloaded it from the audiogames website and the reg.exe file is already there. As most people know, Judgment Day's sounds are encrypted, which, by the inherent nature of encryption, would drastically change any patterns that may be present in the plaintext. Re: Judgement day question I don't know how much good that will do. Compressing it into a RAR or ZIP format works best when there is alot of repeting kind of data. Think book compared to an audio file. Someone make get it a little smaller for you, but I doubt that it will be all that much smaller. I could be wrong. I've been on a dial up conection for the longest of times and hated it. LOL. I remember spending a whole week to download an iso file on dialup before. If I'm remember right, it was that time game that was a point and click game. If I remember it was written by the same folks who did the detective school game. LOL.
