[Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Report Is Empty

2005-04-20 Thread jesse

Dear All,

Does anyone knows why I can generate a report using 2-tier and not
when i connect to the server using 3-tier?

I am actually printing the Customer Balance List with Credit Limit
Report (Accounts Receivables\Reports\Status). There is no
customiastion on this report and it is a standard report.

When i log into Axapta using 2 tier the report generates perfectly,
but when i log into Axpata using 3-tier, I get the error Report is
Empty

Regards,
Jesse

RE: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Company Logo

2005-04-20 Thread Lars Holm

Hi Mohibz,

If you set the company logo in the company parameters and the setting is
Blank paper e.g. in Accounts receivable, Setup, Form setup, tab
Invoice, field group Layout, field Paper format, it prints the company
logo on the invoice. Similar logic exists on other reports as well.

RE: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Run Report from a Form

2005-04-20 Thread Lars Holm

You are kidding, right?

If not, it depends on how you call your report. A report can either be
called directly or using a class which inherits from runbasereport. In
both cases you must call either the class or report from a menu item.
This menu item you just drag into the form design (preferably in a
button group) and that's it.

Try to have a look at the class ProjReport_ClosingProfile. It has the
methods needed to run your report. Then just drag and drop the class
into the menu items output tree node in the aot, change the label in the
new menu item and drag this menu item into your form. Then it should
work.

Good luck.

Hi Craig,

I think I can recall that this error occours on a certain
version of Windows 2000 server edition. If this is "your" error, there are 4
ways to fix it (as far as I know):

1. Keep one Axapta running always. If this Axapta is quit
anyway, the problem occours.
2. Delete the axdat.udb file (all users must exit first).
This will only solve it until next time - so it's in fact not a
solution.
3. Install a patch for Windows server from
Microsoft(don't recall the patch name).
4. Keep the axdat.udb locked by a third-party program (we
(in the previous company I've worked in) made such a program
once).

Re: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] French labels for the menus

2005-04-20 Thread Varden Morris

Hi Stefan

You will first need to have the license for the language. The labels will then be created automatically by Axapta. You will then have to choose the appropriate language from the language combo of the General tab on the client’s configuration.

both cases you must call either the class or report from a menu
 item.
This menu item you just drag into the form design (preferably in
a
  button group) and that's it.

[Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Re: Remember Password in Axapta Login

2005-04-20 Thread jaykay_nl

Use: Network account name (User form). With this the Axapta logon
equals the operating system logon of the user, so Axapta starts-up
immediately when activating the client.

The translations for menu

Hi Stefan

You will first need to have the license for the
language. The labels will then be created automatically by Axapta. You will
then have to choose the appropriate language from the language combo of the
General tab on the clients configuration.

[Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Movement Journal LedgerAccountIdOffset

2005-04-20 Thread john_whitehead_profile

When manually creating a Movement Journal you can specify
the Offset Account for one of the financial
transactions. This works fine. My problem is when I
create the Movement Journal programmatically and then
manually post the Movemnet Journal the Offset Account is
ignored.

In the X++ code I am setting the LedgerAccountIdOffset
property on a variable of type InventJournalTrans with
the desired account. I can review the journal manually
once it has been programatically and can see that the
Offset Account has been set correctly.

Its just when I post the journal the offset account is
ignored!

Any help appreciated.

Regards,

John.

[Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Opthalmology implementations

2005-04-20 Thread cdlmalherbe01

Hi gg,

Has anyone come across/been involved in/know of an Axapta
implementation involving an opthalmology laboratory. Our client takes
orders for prescription spectacles and sunglasses from opthalmologists.
They have a jobbing environment where lenses are produced(made, coated
etc) and fitted to frames. The finished products are then returned to
their clients and invoiced.

What I'm looking for (best case scenario) is a reference site somewhere
in the world. Worst-case would be info on a third party mod specific to
this environment.

Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Kind regards,

Christoph Malherbe

[Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Re: Report Is Empty

Varden,

My configurations are as per below:

2-tier Configuration (SQL SERVER Tab)

Data Source : BMSDSN
Server : xxx.xxx.x.x
Database : AXDB
DBMS Option : blank
Database user ID : bmssa

3-tier Configuration at the AOS Setting (SQL SERVER Tab)

Data Source : BMSDSN
Server : xxx.xxx.x.x
Database : AXDB
DBMS Option : blank
Database user ID : bmssa

WIndows 2000 Microsoft SQL Server DSN Configuration
Name : BMSDSN
Server : XXX (computer name)

Both my Axapta Application and SQL Server is residing in one server.
Should i set the database to be local in both my 2-tier and 3 tier
Configuration instead of pointing it to an IP address? And should I
also set the server to local in Microsoft SQL Server DSN
Configuration instead of using the computer name?

Thank you

Varden,

I went to the AOT - Menu Item - Output - CustBalanceList -
Properties and change the setting of run on from SERVER to CALL
FROM and i can generate the report in 3-tier.

However, certain reports are also having the setting SERVER and it
works fine in both 2 tier and 3 tier environment. It just baffle me
why and what does this setting really does. Do you have any idea?

  Betreff: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Report Is Empty

  Dear All,

Does anyone knows why I can generate a report using 2-tier and
not
when i connect to the server using 3-tier?

I am actually printing the Customer Balance List with Credit
Limit
Report (Accounts Receivables\Reports\Status). There is no
customiastion on this report and it is a standard report.

When i log into Axapta using 2 tier the report generates
perfectly,
but when i log into Axpata using 3-tier, I get the error Report
is
  Empty

  Regards,
  Jesse

Use: Network account name (User form). With this the Axapta
logon equals the operating system logon of the user, so Axapta starts-up
immediately when activating the client.--- In
