hi James, wanted to try this myself but looks like it will take me a week to get around this. if it is urgent what you can do is take advantage of the fact that if a table as cachelookup property to 'entire table' then evenif you enable sql trace, you cannot see any sql statement (in sql statement trace log) selecting records from the particular table. what you could do is enable sql trace, change company, select records from this table just to be sure and check sql statement trace log. Re: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] ctrl+ f or find crashes axapta
Hi Ed Tarnovsky, Does your modified form have a control that use display method to get the data? If so, Is that control's Mandatory property set to Yes? If so, then set that control's Mandatory property to No. I was experiencing that problem before and solved by using above steps. If not, then try to simplified the problem by deleting some controls, until it doesn't crash. Then check the deleted controls to find the cause of the crash. Good luck. [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Picking list created when no onhand stock was available
Hi everybody, The following is the scenario: The picking lists are generated from salesLedger/ periodic/Sales Update/ picking list on the Item stock model group the following are set: Physical negative stock - not active Financial negative stock - active Registration requirements - active picking requirements - not active the client said that a pick list was printed this morning even when the stock was not available. i tried to post another picking list for the same line but i could not as i got the expected error that no stock was available. But when i got to salesorder/ posting/ picking list registration i can see the picking list posted, today , with this item (with a particular batch, warehouse and location) which does not have any onhand stock. when i see the transactions i see that the stock avaiable was deducted yesterday and hence i believe there was never any stock today. had anyone seen this problem earlier and can any one tell what could be the condition when the picking list was created. This had happened earlier too. i would appreciate any thoughts on this issue. cheers, GIrish ___ To help you stay safe and secure online, we've developed the all new Yahoo! RE: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Error sending e-mail automatically in axapta
Hi It sounds like the SMTP server that youhave configured SysMailer to use hasn't been set up to forward mail outside of your organisation. You can verify this by bypassing Axapta and making a test email directly to theSMTP server yourself to see what happens. To do this get to a Windows command prompt and type the following telnet smtpserverAddress 25 HELOyourComputerName MAIL FROM:yourEmailAddress RCPT TO:externalEmailAddress DATA Text of your simple email message . QUIT So, for example, you might type telnet 192.168.1.99 25 HELO melihpc1 MAIL FROM:[EMAIL PROTECTED] RCPT TO:[EMAIL PROTECTED] DATA Hi Bill . QUIT You won't see any of what you type after the telnet command, so be careful as you enter the text. My guess is that you will get an error from the mail serverafter you enter the RCP TO: line saying that it cannot route to that address. The message should give you a clue as to why. Mail servers are often configured to block relaying (which is what you are trying to do here) except for a known list of client machines, so if the computer that is making the SMTP connection isn't one of those known machines the message will be blocked. That could be what is happening to you. Hope that gives you some help Malcolm Burtt From: Axapta-Knowledge-Village@yahoogroups.com [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Melih DemirSent: 26 August 2005 13:09To: Axapta-Knowledge-Village@yahoogroups.com; development-axapta@yahoogroups.comSubject: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Error sending e-mail automatically in axapta Hi all, While sending e-mail automatically in axapta, SmtpServer doesnt recognize the e-mail address given outside the domain. Re: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] ledgerTrans.postload
:D. Thank you for the headsup and scaring me :)) Is there any solution there with you so that I can round off all the existing LedgerTrans Records's AmountCUR and AmountMST to 2 digits?. Presently I did it in DEV environment after I tested in demo installation. I moved this piece of code to QA Environment for user testing in a company of copy pf production as of yesterday PostLoad is already overridden there in LedgerTrans, so I just my 2 lines of code there. Is there any better solution there for rounding off the the exisitng records?. Problem is many people wrote the code and are no longer onsite now. You know when a ticket comes, onsite guy has to act :((. So is there any solution or idea you have which can round off to 2 decimals?. Appreciate the help. Maurice, Do you have any examples, or any suggestions you could point out to me. RE: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village][development-axapta] Crystal Reports and Axapta?
We are on Axapta 2.5 and use Crystal for anything other then the "Vanilla" reports contained in Axapta. I've recently updated to Crystal XI which is server based and web accessible, so now my users can access any of my reports from inside the enterprise or via the Internet. Report development, if you know Crystal, is pretty straight forward, you really just need a understanding of Axapta's table's and fields for content. The rest, at least in Crystal Developer 11 is drag and drop. Let me know if you need more info. RE: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village][development-axapta] Crystal Reports and Axapta?
Hi Brandon, Ive not deployed Crystal Reports on top of an Axapta database but Ive done it on Great Plains, Accpac and a few other systems for exactly the same reason. The principle is identical. It works well . But you do need to be careful because it isnt all plain sailing. The following is a list of issues that my co-workers(current and former) and I have come across. Its not meant to be exhaustive. design of the queries used to feed Crystal with data becomes critical, especially when dealing with large databases and joining multiple tables a sound comprehension of the relationship between the tables is critical if you dont want to provide your customer with garbage a sound comprehension of the impact that your query has on the database and server is important if you dont want to cripple them when the report is run impact of uncommitted SQL transactions on your querys execution and integrity I hope this helps. [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Urgent : Problem in Select count(RecId)
Hi, Today I have a P1 ticket saying that consolidation is not picking up all the transaction for just one company out of 8 export companies. They are all regular trasactions in LedgerTrans. I debugged LedgerConsolidate class and found an interesting issue after debugging in 'sumupTransact'; Select count(recid) from LedgerTable where LedgerTable.AccountNum != ''; LedgerTable.recid = 125 records ( these only exported ) but interestingly if I change it to Select count(recid) from LedgerTable where LedgerTable.AccountName != ''; LedgerTable.recid = 975 records. I felt I got fever for a moment. I reindexed the company when no one is there in the system. still I am getting 125 only. This sucks me now. Any idea why it happended?. I cleared all the cache for this company. Looks like I have a bad week end. help pls thanks, subbu Yahoo! Mail for Mobile Take Yahoo! Mail with you! Check email on your mobile phone. Re: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Urgent : Problem in Select count(RecId)
When I set the table 'cachelookup prorty ' to 'none', I get the same orignal results which is 975 which is good. But...it sucks. I could not solve the problem. But I set temporarily the 'cahchelookupproperty in 'ledgerTable' to none for time being so that I can bring in all the regular transactions in consolidation. Hi I did, Flush LedgerTable; - No luck Tools - refresh AOD and Refresh usage , but no luck. So I suspect the problem is on AOS. So I am going to flush there also to see if it solves my problem. This is problem with 3 tier. Anyway, thanks .
