i am new to Axapta world. though i can work in some of the modules in supply 
chain management but company has provided the limted access on AX.

i have DAX 2009 software and i want to install it in my laptop. i tried my best 
to install with the help of provided manual which is compilcated to understand 
for me. is there anyone who can help me for installation of DAX 2009. i already 
have installed windows 2003 server R2 in virtual machine and domain is also 
created. can any one help me online though skype or MSN Messenger or Yahoo 
Messenger or Google Talk for installation and configuration of Dynamics AX 
2009. this would be greate support to me. i have following softwares:

1.Dynamics AX 2009
2.SQL Server 2005 & 2008
3.microsoft sharepoint 2007
4. .Net 3.2 service pack 2
5. SDK

is there anything left behind? if yes kindly let me know so that i can arrange 
the missing software. in its reward i can provide the DAX 2009 and other tools.

[Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Display Tax in purchase order

When I create purchase order, the tax does not display on print out of
order.

What can I do to display item cost plus purchase order.

[Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Check may be generated only in the currency of the bank account

Hi experts,

I have selected 'More Currencies' checkbox on Bank main form and am making 
payment in 'MXN' currency whereas 'USD' is current currency of the checkbook 
from where I am making payment. When I am generating payment (Functions -> 
Generate payments) from payment journal in Accounts payable, I am getting the 
error mentioned in subject. I will be very grateful if anyone of you could help 
me in resolving this. Without generating payment, I am able to post the journal 
but I want to know which step I am missing for generating payment function.

Hi Tushar
have u tried using 'accept error' check box, because originally ur
production order started with 100, so ur ordered status was 100 initially
but since u are attempting to post production for 102, system is not
considering order status as 'ordered' for '2' quantity (which was originally
not ordered). Accept error check box is given for tackling reporting as
finished in such situations.

Dear All,
 
I have a following scenario in a process industry
 
Item A has production order for 100 Qty
Production order started for 100
Picking list posted for 100
Route card posted for 100
But while doing Report as finished I actually observed that I have produced 102 
qty, and want to update the stock for the same quantity
While doing so when i update the Report as finish journal for 102 quantity AX 
gives error as "Cannot receive quantity 102 because inventory transactions with 
status Ordered, Arrived or Registered are insufficient."
 
Can anyone suggest how to handle such scenario?

[Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Item dimension wise cost in movement journals

Hello friends,
 
We are using the configuration and size dimensios for BOM type of items. The 
inventory model group selected has setup of weighted average cost for all BOM 
type of items.
 
When trying to post a movement journal of any BOM type of item with specific 
configuration and size the cost of the item (weighted average) is not shown in 
cost column of the journal. The item has the setup in its master as "use 
combination cost price" but still the dimension combination cost price is not 
shown in inventory journals.
 
Any setup missing for this? pls suggest

Hi Visti,
 
The dimension group setup considers the dimension wise coverage of the item, 
where as the inventory coverage group attached to the item considers the 
coverage of the item as a whole. for example Item A has a coverage code 
attached to it will consider the requirements of the item A but if the 
dimension group attached to it has some dimensions not selected for coverage 
plan then those will not be considered while Master planning is run.
 
Suppose Item A has Site,Warehouse dimensions activated but only site is 
considered for coverage planning then the requirement of the item A at multiple 
warehouses will not be considered under Master Planning for that you have to 
select the warehouse dimension for coverage plan.
 
if you explain ur scenario further then might be able to give some ideas.

Hi Friends, 

I am running master planning in AX 2009. I have set up a dimension group 
wherein I dont go for coverage plan by dimension for Warehouse but have 
coverage plan by dimension for Site. 

Further i set up inventory coverage for Item A -> on the site and warehouse in 
the planning setup. 

When I run MRP, it generates an order but does not consider the Multiples could 
anyone please advice why .
