Hi, Mike,

Talk about messing up one's own computer, one time I was trying to install
service pack 3 on my old XP computer and I really messed things up so I had
to have my nephew David do a system restore on it.

Hi Anna,

Being that I've never ran into a situation such as yours, I'm going to
refrain from making any suggestions. There are a couple different things I
would try on my computer but, I do all kinds of crazy things on my own
computer that I wouldn't suggest to anyone else because you would not
believe how badly I've screwed up my own computers experimeting out of
curiosity!. Hopefully someone on the list will have a suggestion that will
get your computer functioning properly again. Sorry I couldn't help.
Take care.

 hi Mike,
when I start my computer up in the morning everything starts up fine and

so we unplug the tower and then start it up again and then it goes into

works fine until the next time I start it up again.

Hi, Cliff,

I use winamp too and it's much easier to navigate than windows media
player. I have to correct myself on something. I should have paid more
attention when you mentioned you're trying to play a CD. I don't know why
but I was thinking of playing mp3 files in a folder.

Sorry about that.

Hi Cliff.
I use Winamp. In the Winamp window and using JAWS, just hit the letter S
for shuffle and R for repeat. They are toggle keys for on and off. Also,
Insert H will give you the JAWS hot keys.

I was playing some newly-acquired CDs on my computer, last night.

The songs were played in more of a random order, rather than the order
given on the package.

I'd like to hear these songs in their original order.

How do I accomplish this?

Hi,

If you're using windows media player, select the songs from the bottom up.
In other words, if I have a CD with just three songs on it, I select the
last song first. You'd hit the control key and then hit the space bar after
each song. Then you hit the applications key and arrow down to play and the
songs should play in order.

Hope this helps.

hello;
well, your asking how to play your CD tunes in order, however, I don't think
you've mention which player are you refering too?
it's kinda hard, to help without knowing the player in question,
otherwise we would need to assume,
if I were to assume,
I would think your asking about windows media player,
to take windows media out of shuffle mode,
Ctrl + H

Turn on/off shuffle mode

Whatever player you are using is probably on shuffle or random, so you
probably need to uncheck a checkbox in one of the menus.

[Blind-Computing] can't go to my home page using the new version of web IE

2012-12-26 Thread Rosemarie Chavarria
Hi, everyone,

Recently I downloaded the newest version of web IE to try it out since it’s a
beta version right now. The problem I’m having is that I can’t go to my home
page with this new browser. I’ve gone to options and arrowed down to “set home
page” and hit enter on it. Nothing happens. When I go back into web IE, it goes
back to their home page instead of the one I want. I’ve written to the
developer but got no response. What could I be doing wrong?

Any help will be very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
