I'm getting shorter lines than I'd like.

How can I analyze and correct this problem?

Assunto: [Blind-Computing] Adding additional synthesizers to Jaws 14

How would you go about adding an additional synthesizer to jaws 14 when it's
already been installed and set up? Have an external doubletalk synthesizer
that want to add to Jaws 14 and wasn't able to do that by using the
utilities and synthesizer options.

So if anyone can help would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks.

Re: [Blind-Computing] Of a marginal nature?

2013-01-14 Thread Mike B.
Hi Cliff,

Below are a couple of notes that might help:
From: Marquette, Ed
Well, tabs and margins, so far as I know, are set differently.
If you are talking about top, bottom, left, and right margins, go to File
and then Page layout. You can set all 4 margins there.
For tabs, go to Format and then Paragraph. There are two tabs. Pick the one
that says indents and line spacing.
Tab over (and this takes several tabs) past line spacing. You will then
come to a tabs dialog box.
There is where you adjust your tabs.
Ed

From: Flor Lynch
Hi Mike,

I believe you'll find what you require in the format menu, Alt + O, then
arrow down to it and press enter, press the tab key, to adjust settings
appropriately. HINT: You can use shift+F1 for more Help in these
dialogues (in Word XP) if you need it.
Flor

Take care.
Mike

Re: [Blind-Computing] is that possible to use ms office 2003 and2010 both?

2013-01-14 Thread Niamh

Dear Nitin,
Let me say first of all I do agree with David, I have seen nothing insulting
or abuse here, so hopefully it is a misunderstanding.

Let me answer your question though.
In my work a number of programs, rather different versions of the same
program run.
My I.T. supervisor tells me that you need to install them as separte
enities, as if they were different products altogether.

Then you can exit one and enter the other.
The problems will arise when both are activated at the same time.
However Mike, my I.T. supervisor tells me that it is highly unlikely that
your earlier version is being over run by the later version.

It will be there somewhere.
I do hope this helps.

In other words you can reinstall jaws as many times as you want on the

Re: [Blind-Computing] is that possible to use ms office 2003and2010 both?

2013-01-14 Thread Mujtaba Merchant
Hello Nitin,

I apologize that my reply was taken in the complete wrong perspective by
you. By no way I wanted to offend you or any member of the list. I was just
trying to be humorous and also answer your question.

You mentioned in your earlier mails that you got offended by my reply in
some other list, I was not made aware of such a situation. Obviously I am
missing out on something here. I am guessing humor does not go down well
with you. Here on, hence forth any emails from you will be strictly replied
to in lawyer lingo, i.e. to the point with case instances. Request you to
kindly stop making assumptions on my emails and expressing them publicly on
the list, you could have mailed me personally and sort some kind of
clarification first instead of getting trigger happy with your assumptions.

As mentioned earlier, Microsoft won't allow you to have more than one office
version/ package setup. And I really don't see any reason why someone would
want to have more than one office package installed on his computer...

Once again, I apologize for the misunderstanding and trust that you will
learn to forgive and forget such instances.

Mujtaba Merchant

Dear Nitin,
Please trust me as a totally independent observer I think you have
misunderstood the remark.
It was an elaborate and funny way of saying why would you need to do
this?
We can all see you are very upset, but please me and others here, no offence

was intended.

This is a wonderful list, and the moderators are very careful inappropriate
behaviour.
I honestly think that this is one of those occasions when you are going to
have to believe the rest of us, when we assure you that you have
misunderstood what was meant.
With kindest regards
Niamh

Re: [Blind-Computing] is that possible to use ms office 2003 and2010 both?

2013-01-14 Thread inthaneelf
actually it may be possible with a custom install of the earlier office set,
using something like office 2003 alpha (a name not expected by so not used
in the 2010's install and over write functions) and then installing office
2010 with its standard setup you may be able to put both on one machine, but
I think this may be the last combination like this that will be doable.

the auto integration is being extended in each version of office and is
becoming more complete and inescapable.

good luck for whatever reason your wishing to do this,
inthane
