[OSL | CCIE_Voice] VPIM - both ways not working

2010-09-18 Thread vcciev
Hi,

Some general questions I have in mind,
  1) does it require setting its own location in Unity Connection?
  2) does it require a SMTP server in Unity Connection?
  3) if Unity Connection not joined a domain, what should I put under SMTP
server > SMTP domain ?

I see debug on CUE when I send message from CUE to UC,

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] Need opinions / recommendations on Remote Phone Control (UNCLASSIFIED)

2010-09-18 Thread Jeff Garvas
I had problems getting Remote Phone 2.1 to work properly. It required an
AXL account I believe, and I was in the stage you're in (trying it out) and
lost focus on testing it. I'm sure if properly configured it works well,
but I can't say that for sure.

Singlewire seemed more interested in selling me a corporate license that I
couldn't justify, but their product looked better to me for some reason (I
can't recall why). I specifically asked them if they'd consider selling me
a single-use copy for study purposes and it seemed to go nowhere.

I look forward to your results because one of my desks keeps moving around
and I'd rather find a way to not need the phones at my desk at work.

[OSL | CCIE_Voice] Another dumb after-hours block question

2010-09-18 Thread David Lee
Hello,

Question in Vol 2 Lab 9 asks for international dialing to be blocked on
these days:

Monday - Friday, 7pm-7am
All weekend, except Sat 7am-1pm

The solution has the following

 after-hours day Sun 12:00 07:00
 after-hours day Mon 19:00 06:59
 after-hours day Tue 19:00 06:59
 after-hours day Wed 19:00 06:59
 after-hours day Thu 19:00 06:59
 after-hours day Fri 19:00 06:59
 after-hours day Sat 13:00 12:00

A couple of questions:

1. If the syntax is 24-hour clock, then is Sat's schedule indicating "Sat
1300 hours to Sunday 1200 hours (noon)"?

Let's say we only want to block Sat 1300 hours and allow all day on Sat,
then would the syntax be "after-hours day Sat 13:00 23:59"?

2. Again for Sunday, should the block time be extended through 06:59 as the
other weekdays if we want to allow dialing of international to start at 7am?
Otherwise, International cannot begin until 701am on Monday?

Thanks,

-Dave
