Voiding a transaction with CFX_Cybercash

Hi there,

Does anyone know how to programmatically void a transaction submitted through
CFX_Cybercash? I need to void a transaction if it fails AVS checks.

Thanks!

Re: shopping cart integration

2006-07-17 Thread Stas Newdel
Hi Mary,

We are using your product and the integration options work well for us.

I was wondering if anyone has an opinion on a related subject.

As an e-commerce merchant we don't just accept payments. There are
refunds, exchanges, fraudulent transactions, etc. I've been extremely
dissatisfied with options available through Verisign Payment manager.
It lets you do things easily enough, but the interface is clunky and
slow. I can't even look up transactions based on a persons name, I
have to download a CSV report and then search through it. So, are
there any other more flexible payment gateways?

On Jul 15, 2006, at 9:24 AM, Mary Jo Sminkey wrote:

 Might someone out there point me (a simpleton) in a direction to
 gain a
 little more understanding about shopping carts and details about
 connecting
 back end code to all the appropriate financial pieces please?

 In terms of connecting to the bank, you generally use an online
 payment gateway such as Authorize.Net or Verisign PayFlow which
 handles the processing of the credit card and then depositing the
 funds through your merchant account. In terms of how to do this, it
 varies totally depending on the service that you use. AuthNet is
 the easiest I am familiar with, you just use a CFHTTP post and then
 process the return information to see if the transaction failed or
 was approved. Others like Linkpoint and Verisign require installing
 components on the server but provide CFX tags to make CF
 integration easier. Others may be more difficult, such as
 Cybersource which requires the use of a COM object. And there are
 those like PayPal and 2Checkout where the customer leaves your site
 altogether and you have to determine whether to save the order
 before or after the customer leaves your site and how to deal with
 uncompleted orders. So you really need to decide which service you
 are using before looking for specific information on how to
 integrate it.

Thanks, Dave

I remember looking into them a couple of years ago at an old job and

intrigued by a couple of features CFDynamics is throwing in, like the

Japanese text

2006-04-24 Thread Stas Newdel
I am managing an ecommerce app and we are attempting to add Japanese
text descriptions for the products. Currently, I am just doing a test
of concept type of thing. I added another table that has an FK to
products as well as the alternative description column. Our Japanese
partner has supplied us with an Excel file containing descriptions in
katakana which view fine in Excel.

I set the description column's type to nvarchar and set its collation
to be Japanese_BIN, however, when I try to paste the Japanese text
into it, only some of the Roman characters are visible (as the the
descriptions have things like 100% cotton), but the Japanese
characters are displayed as blocks.

Could someone point me in the right directions?

Thanks,

Stas

It's MS SQL 2000. I haven't tried DTSing as in executing a DTS

it's just an Excel file that I gave to my partner and he filled it out.

Re: Anyone use CFX_Excel2Query?

2004-12-14 Thread stas
Irvin, thanks. I realized that I was using the attributes incorrectly,
because that's how another tag, CFX_Text2Query from the same author
works. I need to get rid of the user supplied header row and provide
my own and there doesn't seem to be an elegant way of doing that with
this tag.

Irvin Gomez wrote:

Try:

cfx_excel2query
   file=#excelfile#
   firstRowIsHeader = 1
   nodates
   columnList=columns
   r_qResults=orderlist

That will return a query object called orderlist and a variable named
columns that is a list of the column names in your excel file.

I am using it with this syntax:

cfx_excel2query
   file=#excelfile#
   r_qResults=orderlist
   firstRowIsHeader=false
   columnlist = name,address,city,state,zip

The excel file has its own header, which I am trying to overwrite by
the one provided with the 'columnlist' attribute. However, when I
supply that attributed the return recordset isn't created - I can't
cfdump it because the object doesn't exist.

Any tips would very appreciated!

HTTP 405 - resource not allowed

2004-06-28 Thread stas
I am migrating one application to another server. The entrance to this app
is always from an external site via a POST. All of a sudden I'm getting a
405... the site itself is up if I hit it directly via URL and the mappings
for .cfm are set to all verb. I'd appreciate some pointers, thanks! This

One more thing.

If the form's action tag is an absoluting path including the CFM file, it
works, that is:

This works - form action="" method=post

This doesn't - form action="" method=post

Anyway to get the latter to work? That's what I have it set up as on the
older server, no issues, but that's running CF 4.5.

Thank you

Re: HTTP 405 - resource not allowed

2004-06-28 Thread stas
Mark, I am not sure I understand you... but I did have index.cfm before.
Just to take CF out of the equation I replaced it with index.html and am
still receiving 405. Also, when I have index.cfm set up as the default
document, if I just go to the site normally by typing the full address in
the browser address bar, IIS correctly serves up the index.cfm file.

 I think that is your problem right there
 you should make the default document index.cfm and not index.html or
default.htm

 then you will be able to run it

 Hope that helps

Re: CFMX on Windows Server 2003

For some reason the datacenter people set up /CFIDE and /docs outside of the
default c:\cfusionmx.

Also, when I look in the CF Admin, in the mapping section there is a
hardcoded entry that can't deleted pointing \CFIDE to some location that
should've not been there. I am sure that's why I am getting 'not found'

I am using CFQUERY on a text ODBC datasource. One of the fields is zip code.
When a zip contains a dash, as in 12345-1234, the field is returned as an
empty string. What could be going on?

Loosing sessions on the same server with SSL

2004-03-17 Thread stas
I've got an e-commerce app (a very old version of CF Webstore). My ISP has
provided me with an SSL url to use for the final stages of the purchasing
process.

So during browsing, production selection the user is on:

http://mystore.com/

The SSL protected pages go through:

https://commerce.myisp.com/mystore/

It's a shared SSL account. What I am noticing is that the session variable
that holds the basket gets erased after the users hits the SSLd pages. I'd
appreciate some insight... Thanks!

File processing with CF MX

2004-01-24 Thread stas
I am looking at having to read anywhere from 500 to 2000 XML files at a time
and update the database with information from the files. I know how to get
around an XML file with either MX's built-in functions or SiteOjects's
custom tags.

Each XML file has a standard stucture - same main attributess, but the
number of child nodes may fluctuate. I.E.:

record name = xyz type = x recepient = y
 file outputfile = 1

 file outputfile = n+1
/record

I need to read each file and populate a master table with attributes of the
record node and a child table with attributes of each file node. My fear
is that CF isn't the right tool for the job given the possible heavy I/O
requirements, but it's the only tool I am comfortable in regards to dealing
with XML, as well as being the tool that the overall system is built upon.

So if the XML processing and database updates were left in CF, could anyone
suggest a stable way of going about this? My hunch is that I should iterate
over all files first, contatinate individual files into one larger file and
build a long query string (multipe inserts/update within one cfquery tag).
Am I on the right track?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Integer is not a supported type. Remember that if you don't pass one of the

should switch to numeric, and if you REALLY want integer, follow up with
custom code to ensure no decimals, etc.

Yes, this is a follow up to the last question on animated gifs on the fly.

CFFILE not throwing an exception

running as.

The upload doesn't succeed, but it also doesn't raise any errors,no matter

customer list validation

2004-01-02 Thread stas
Our application allows users to upload a list - a list of addresses in this
case. We expect certain fields to be there (obviously!).

What I am doing right now is:

Upload the list
Run a query against it (text DSN) and get the columns
Compare the columns to expected column list variable

I am wondering if there is a better or a more elegant way.

Related to this, we are also anticipating issues with users uploading wrong
file types, let's say .XLS instead of .TXT. Has anyone run accross a list
management/upload product (a custom tag or CFX) that deals with this and
above situations?

I don't really know if I'd call it official, but it it well-known enough
that Sean Corfield recommends it for initializing CFC instances. So I
wouldn't expect it to disappear any time soon.

Of course, you wouldn't want to perform unnecessary work at runtime, so if
you plan to use the return value of the function repeatedly you're better
off putting it into a variable.

That'll work fine for structs and objects, but won't for arrays.In other
words this won't work:

cfset myVar = myFuncReturningArray()[3] /

I'm not sure what happens when dealing with recordsets.

Whether you make use of that or not is a stylistic question.Personally, I
don't add anything after a function call except another method call,
preferring to assign the result to a temp variable first.

Re: Logging out on session expiration under MX

2003-12-17 Thread stas
No, it doesn't seem to be that. I am really baffled at what's going on.

This app is based on modded version of FB 2.

My index.cfm includes app_globals.cfm

app_globals.cfm has this block:

cfif not (isdefined(session.loggedin))
cfinclude template=_login.cfm
cfelse

_login.cfm has the security validation stuff.

I set the session expiration to be really low, 3 minutes.

When I refresh the page or do anything else in the app instead of being
redirected to the login screen I get errors related to missing session
variables, as they had expired - which should be caught in the
app_globals.cfm (as the session.loggedin var has expired as well),but it
isn't.

- Original Message -
From: S. Isaac Dealey

Hi Stas,

Make sure your mx server isn't using a uuid for cfid/cftoken... I
believe when this is the case it only uses the one variable, and so
your cfif statement would return false when either one of the
isdefined() returns false and your cookies wouldn't get reset to log
the user out when the browser closes.

That's the only thing that comes to mind for me at the moment.

Logging out on session expiration under MX

2003-12-16 Thread stas
I am porting our application to MX 6.1. We are not refactoring anything yet,
simply re-deploying. However, I decided to redo the login mechanism using
cflogin architecture.

In my Application.cfm I have:

cfif not isdefined(session.loggedin)
 cfinclude template=_login.cfm
/cfif

_login.cfm, among other things, instantiates session.loggedin var.

What I am experience is that upon session expiration the above cfif block
in Application.cfm doesn't get prevent the application to execute further.
What am I missing?

We are not using J2EE session variables, but I have this in my
application.cfm:

cfif isdefined('cookie.cfid') and isdefined('cookie.cftoken')
 cfset localCFID = cookie.cfid
 cfset localCFToken = cookie.CFTOKEN
 cfcookie name = CFID value = #localCFID#
 cfcookie name = CFTOKEN value = #localCFTOKEN#
/cfif

Thanks for any tips!

If the database you want to import data is in SQL you can use a DTS. If
it is in Access you can use a Macro.

I am currently stuck figuring out how to do the reverse - extract

Same as above.

Exporting to Access?

2003-11-13 Thread stas
I am looking for a way to create access databases on the fly. Simply, I am
querying an existing SQL database, process the records within CFand then I
am writing the results to stand-alone text files. Instead of the text files
I need to create Access databases, one for each transaction/order. Could
someone suggest a way to accomplish this? I know I could probably script a
DTS, but I don't know enough about DTS, e.g. how do you pass it a parameters
to be used as a resulting file name? Thanks for any tips!

Inserting into dynamic datasources (CF MX)

2003-11-11 Thread stas
I need to be able to create MS Access databases on the fly and insert
records into them. CF knowledge base has an article on getting data from an
external Access database by setting up a dummy passthrough database and then
referencing the external MDB via an IN clause, as in:

cfquery name=test datasource=dynamicMDB
SELECT FirstName
FROM Employees
IN 'C:\mysite\db\cfsnippets.mdb'
/cfquery

I need to insert into an external database, can this be done in a similar
manner?

Thanks,

Passing XML to CF via HTTP Post

2003-09-25 Thread stas
I first attempted this with Automate, but Automate's HTTP Post module isn't
working for me.

Now I am doing this with curl, and I am seeing errors in CF's application

I launch curl like this - curl -d id=?xml version=1.0
encoding=UTF-8?RECORDSR CODE=80492301 NUMB=1
TYPE=0//records localhost/index.cfm

CF is 6.1 Standard

However, if I pass just the file name containing the XML to CF and do

everything is fine. I do need to get it working via the POST method though.

Thanks for any tips!

My mistake - I didn't want to put all of the XML in example so I copied the

What I have is an Automate script that loops through directory of XML files

Re: Cons to Fusebox

2003-07-17 Thread Stas Newdel
I find Fusebox very useful when I go out to get a 3rd party application to
customize for a client. I know exactly where to look to modify things or
implement new modules.

In reality though, I've personally found relatively few polished commercial
or otherwise apps implemented in FB that I can purchase and modify... They
must all be custom in-house projects then. Is there some kind of Fusebox
registry that I had missed?

Mary Jo, I hope the work on converting CFWebstore to FB is successful, I
won't ever need another CF e-commerce app again!

- Original Message -
From: Shawn Grover [EMAIL PROTECTED]

 I work pretty much in the same fashion Dave has indicated. However, I
have
 absolutely no data layer logic on my display page. Any data layer logic
is
 accessed via a function call to a business rule object, and the business
 rule object accesses whatever data layer objects it needs. I then have my
 basic data that I place into the page as needed. So, by simply applying
OOP
 principles, I achieve the abstraction and encapsulation you and other FB
 proponents seem to be offering as what makes FB so good.

 Seing as all actions start from a page request, why not let the page
 determine what needs to be done? FB does the same thing, using a
different
 method (index.cfm switch case). In both cases (FB vs OOP), the end result
 is a page that is rendered correctly and using some kind of architecture.

Correct syntax for stored procedures

2003-06-03 Thread stas
I am having a problem getting a result set.

 Proc:

CREATE  PROCEDURE spFindVisitor
@fname varchar,
@lname varchar

AS
SELECT ID as visitorid
FROM tblVisitor
WHERE first_name = @fname and last_name = @lname
GO

I am calling it like this:

cfstoredproc procedure = spFindVisitor datasource=#request.datasource#
  cfprocparam type=In cfsqltype=CF_SQL_VARCHAR
dbvarname=@fname value=holly
   cfprocparam type=In cfsqltype=CF_SQL_VARCHAR
dbvarname=@lname value=bennet
   cfprocresult maxrows=1 name=qFindVisitor
  /cfstoredproc

I am not getting any results back, even though I know a record is there. Is
my syntax correct? I've done this times and again under CF 4.5, but now I
am debugging an app under MX, MS SQL 2000. I tried both JDBC and MS SQL
drivers in MX, same results.

Also, is there an advantage in using JDBC over MS SQL and vice versa? If
there is a link on MM's site, I'd greatly appreciate that.

Much thanks

Thanks all, specifying the length of the field did it.

- Original Message -
From: Clint [EMAIL PROTECTED]

 In your stored procedure you have to put the length of that column.
 Otherwise SQL Server defaults it to a length of 1.

 Change that and rerun your stored procedure. Also, you can run this in SQL
 Query analyzer and see what you get back. That way you can determine if it
 is the procedure or CF that is causing the problem.

 to use the same serial across the board. As long as you own valid serials
 the one in the app shouldn't matter.

 I could be mistaken but I use DWMX and others in my company did too.

  It's certainly possible, and depending on your server configuration

 Thanks, Dave. We are securing access to the directory, and we require

 We just wanted as much security as possible. We tried renaming the CFIDE

Subject: Why isn't my output showing up right?

 There are so many people yelling at me right now...I'm about to commit
hari
 kari...please help me...

 Okay, My query works. I know this because I can test it by clicking on
my
 recordset and clicking test and passing the appropriate variable.

 My Joins are working, this much I know.

 What I'm trying to do, is output the rates for each property. There are
 multiple rates for each property. My thinking was to loop, using the query
 to initialize my loop, and simply check for a match, then output that
Row's
 corresponding rates.

 However this isn't working, whenever I put the loop in the output, it only
 returns one record. When I take OUT the loop, it returns all the records
but
 only one rate:

 Here's my query (like I said, tested, and it's returning the right stuff):
 cfquery name=getMyListings datasource=MYDSN
 SELECT RentalProperties.PropertyID, RentalProperties.PropertyName,
 RentalProperties.PropertyPhoto, RentalProperties.PropertyType,
 RentalProperties.PropertyAddress, RentalProperties.PropertyDescription,
 RentalProperties.PropertyBedrooms, RentalRates.RatesID,
 RentalRates.RatesPrice,
 RentalRates.RatesSeason, RentalRates.RatesProperty
 FROM (RentalLocations INNER JOIN RentalProperties ON
 RentalLocations.LocationID=RentalProperties.PropertyLocation) INNER JOIN
 RentalRates
 ON RentalProperties.PropertyID=RentalRates.RatesProperty
 WHERE RentalProperties.PropertyLocation = #URL.Location#
 ORDER BY RentalProperties.PropertyID
 /cfquery

 And here's version one of the output:
 cfoutput query=getmylistings group=PropertyID
 cfif PropertyPhoto NEQ img
src=images/rentals/#PropertyPhoto#/cfif
 b#PropertyName#/bbr
 #PropertyDescription#br
 cfset TempVariable = #PropertyID#br
 bRates/bbr

 b#TempVariable#/b - #RatesSeason# #DollarFormat(RatesPrice)#br
 br
 /cfoutput

 Which works fine, but only returns (as expected) ONE rate, when in fact
 there are multiple rates.

 So I added a cfloop, like so:
 cfoutput query=getmylistings group=PropertyID
 cfif PropertyPhoto NEQ img
 src=images/rentals/#PropertyPhoto#/cfif
 b#PropertyName#/bbr
 #PropertyDescription#br
 cfset TempVariable = #PropertyID#br
 bRates/bbr
 cfloop query=getmylistings
 cfif TempVariable EQ RatesProperty
 b#TempVariable#/b - #RatesSeason#
 #DollarFormat(RatesPrice)#/cfifbr
 br
 /cfloop
 /cfoutput

 And now I only return one record.

 What gives? I know it's something so simple, that I'm going to bang my
head
 when I see it.

 Trying out a couple of Word2HTML tools
 They finaly get a copy of Word2000 installed and I set up.
 Word2HTML on the server (author Randy Mayes)

 This gives me:
 The error occurred while processing an element with a general identifier
of

 template file D:\applications\CFusion\CustomTags\Word2HTML.cfm.

 (That would be in the custom tag itself)

 So I figure I'll debug the thing by creating objects myself.
 Using word2HTML.cfm

 cfobject type=COM name=WordApp class=Word.Application
 action=CREATE

 But something's screwy

 Here's the first error:

 0x80070005. Access is denied.

 Maybe I should add server so here's the next error:
 Error trying to create object specified in the tag. COM error 0x80040154.
 Class not registered

 Then I go in to the oleviewer and find the class of the object and try to
 create it using
 CFOBJECT
 ACTION=CREATE
 CLASS={000209FF---C000-0046}
 NAME=WordApp
 TYPE=COM
 CONTEXT=Remote
 SERVER=(serverIP)
 Content: Error trying to create object specified in the tag. COM error
 0x80070005. Access is denied.

 or if I add the computer name using //servername
 Content: Error trying to create object specified in the tag. COM error
 0x800706BA. The RPC server is unavailable. Depending on how I write the
 server name
 (but I think I put the servername wrong that's all)

 I think it's the service permissions but then I check and CF logs in as an
 administrator.

 Any thoughts?

Calling COM objects

2003-02-03 Thread stas
I posted last week and I didn't seen any replies, so I'll try again.

I have an OCX loaded on my box that I can work with in ASP.

In ASP I call it like this:

Set DLQClient1 = CreateObject(DLQueueClient)

I think all examples I've seen (CFCOMET) and such, show calling COM objects
using this notation:

CFOBJECT ACTION=Create CLASS=myApp.objName NAME=myObj TYPE=COM

What do I use for myApp.objName?

I tried DLQueueClient.Application and I get an error: COM error 0x800401F3.
Invalid class string
Obviously, I was just guessing. I loaded up OLEView, but I coudn't find the
class name.
Could someone unconfuse me?

Thanks!
