Guys, I need to install CWM 9207 the next week for a customer to manage BPXs 8680 and MGXs 8850. This is my first time to install it. My questions are : -I won't be able to have a topology of the network because they don't HP OpenView. isn't? or there is an other way to do that? -How should I connect to the equipment (BPXs & MGXs) to do the management. I mean through which interface. The ATM or the Ethernet ? -The main purpose to install the CWM is to save and restore the configuration of the equipment. ISDN simulator Adtran Atlas 550 (like the Atlas 800 in CCIE Study Guide)
Don't know if everyone saw this or not ... I recently picked up an evaluation Adtran Atlas 550 with a quad BRI card. This unit has the same interface as the Atlas 800 mentioned in the Hutnik & Satterlee CCIE Study Guide only its smaller - one PRI and 4 BRI instead of the two PRI and eight BRI the 800 has. I played with it a bit, ran it on ebay, and it didn't sell. I think one of those online school places is going to take it but if anyone else is interested I think I can get more. Sorry for the commercial spam but not a lot of people know about this box yet and I think maybe people are paying for Teltone's when they could have a piece that would let them do proper ISDN dial - you really can't experience the full misery ^h^h^h^h^h^h^h joy of ISDN till you have three different routers trying to talk to each other :-) http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=386206664 ___ UPDATED Posting Guidelines: http://www.groupstudy.com/list/guide.html FAQ, list archives, and subscription info: http://www.groupstudy.com Report misconduct and Nondisclosure violations to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
off topic math question
Does anyone know the math the name of the math puzzler that goes like this: 3 guys go to a hotel, the manager says the room is $30. Each guy puts in $10 then go to sleep. The next manager decides the room is really only $25, but decides to keep $2 for himself. He then hands each guy back $1 each. The Question is if each guy paid $9 for the room, and 3*9=27 +2(the manager took) what happens to the other dollar, since 27+2=$29? I only ask since I belive this is a math riddle and wanted to know the name. Nigel

Adam Quiggle new BCRAN book
I just thought it was pretty neat when I looked at the author of my brother's new BCRAN book. I said hey I've seen that guy Adam Quiggle a bunch of times on the mailing list. I'm sure there are plenty of others on the mailing list who are authors of other great technical books, but I just thought this was really cool. I also wanted to point out this book has proven to be a really good one. Not to down anyone else, but this book kicks the Ciscopress books butt! Kudos on not only the information in it, but great job on the layout and the examples. Money well spent. I've read the Ciscopress book and I am almost finished with this book. Mike, Yes it is possible. However you will need to a combination of AAA and a RADIUS/TACACS server to accomplish this.
