cisco 2600 rtr [7:61394]
I have a 2620 rtr and would like to debug the traffic of a particular ip but the only way I know to do it is byu the following: debug ip packet 101 where 101 is an acl that says ermit ip any any. Is there a better way to do this so that it only logs that particular ip top the screen rather than all the traffic? Re: frame relay stumper [7:60567]
I would do a SHOW FRAME RELAY PVC and see if the pvc is active. Also ensure that the IP's have the same subnet and configure the LMI type so that it matches on both ends. Possible even contact you Frame provider to see what type of LMI the switch supports. vikramjskeer wrote in message [EMAIL PROTECTED]">news:[EMAIL PROTECTED]... Hi Geoff, Just a small possibility Double check on what circuit is termining on the physical interfaces. What I mean to say is, if the two ends are not connected to the same circuit physically too, it might show you up/up (due to some other ends connectivity) but it won't be the result what you are looking for. Show cdp neighbor command can help you in this i.e. if some other Cisco router is getting connected ypu can see that in place of desired router. It had happened with me, so maybe it's the cause. Both sides' subinterfaces are up/up, but I am not able to ping either IP address, even when I am on the host router for each address! Both sides have other working subinterfaces which I have tested similarly, and these use the same physical circuit, so I know the circuit is good. OH... and this connection WAS working at some point, but I can't tell when it stopped working, due to the fact that neither router recognizes that there is a problem. I tried bouncing both subinterfaces and reloading the 2500, but the problem remains. Any advice about what I may be overlooking would be a Godsend. Thanks! catalyst 3548XL Question [7:36518]
I have 8 cats separated on 2 floors and I want to create some sort of failover but want to make sure that it will work and will not cause any problems. The diagram below is my setup and I have 4 cats on fl1 connected to 4 cats on fl2 via fiber from sw4 to sw5 but I would like to run a piece of fiber from sw1 to sw8 as well if 3 or 4 goes down. Can I do this without causing any network interruption?? And is there any special setup that should be done to stop routing loops?? Such as enable STP?? They all are in the same VLAN of 1. eigrp and isdn routing question? [7:28219]
Is ther a way that I can stop all eigrp traffic from passing on the ISDN when it is down and then to pass when the ISDN comes up? I have an access list that denies eigrp on the BRI and the interface is set as passive in the eigrp config. But I am having routing problems when I lose my serial line and the ISDN comes up. Nothing will route unless there is a hardcoded next hop for an address ip route ** ** * I would like to somehow pass eigrp info over the isdn when it comes up but not when it is down? Can this be done. I also do not want to do redistribute static because of default gateway issues. Thanks. sh IP route and IP question [7:27997]
I have a ISDN failover connection and whenever the connection kicks in and I do a show IP route I get the following information and it is not correct. Atlanta RTR(I did sh ip ro)- C 128.121.22.146/32 BRI0/0 When in actuality, the BRI int on the other router is 128.121.22.146/28 I disconnect the ISDN and the route disappears which is what should happen Does anyopne know what would cause the one router to detect the wrong net address from the other routers BRI? This is stopping me from being able to hit the other router when the S0/0 goes down. Rouitng setup and config [7:27692]
I have an issue with 2 csc 2600 rtr's. When the s0/0 goes down and the backup ISDN kicks in, from within the router I can ping the ISDN int on the other side but not the local routers ISDN int? I also cannot ping the other side from the network internally only pingable from the router CLI? Now even though I can ping the other BRI int, it will not ping anything else or route any traffic. Same thing the other way. Nothing gets routed beyong the BRI int. What kind of entries should be setup for the routing to take place. For instance, Router 1 s0/0 128.121.22.193/29 Router 1 BRI0/0 128.121.22.189/30 Router 2 s0/0 128.121.22.186/30 Router 2 BRI0/0 128.121.22.190/30 Also s0/0 is ip unnumbered using the Eth0/0 on both ends BRI's are on the same segment and serials are different segments I have statics setup to route on the S0/0's but no BRI as well as an ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 ser0/0 I want the traffic to use the BRI's when there is no S0/0? What do I do? THANKS.. DDR setup [7:17419]
Is there a way that I can cause a BRI interface to activate when the load drops to 0 on the T-1 and then deactivate when there is activity on the T-1. I have a point to point from DE to AZ with constant traffic and I have seen where an interface will not transmit traffic even though it is being reported as up and the DDR int never activates. I cannot use a load-threshold and everything you learn about DDR states how to do this when the traffic reaches a certain climax and how to disconnect when it falls under specs and I would like to do this but also in that when ther traffic hits 0 it can activate as well. Any suggestions, please. I am kind of a newbie at setting up DDR and any help would be gfreatly appreciated. This is what Cisco's named their interface cards for the 1700/2600/3600 series routers. A WIC-1T is a single DB60 High Speed Serial, WIC-1 ADSL would be an Asymmetrical DSL interface card an NM-1E would be a single 10BaseT.
