Hi, Just a small comment: The passing score for MPLS is 867 Do you think IP Quality of Service is enough for the QoS portion? Does it contain really good stuff for the real world or further reading is needed to master QoS? Hi Ok, then the mpls passing score must have changed ;-) (817 was in March, 2002) Actually, the IP Quality of Service book is one of the weaker ciscopress books (I would describe it as chaotic) and doesn't cover all topics from the blueprint. However, I managed the exam with just this book plus some cisco webpages about NBAR (just to get the idea). On the other side, the Multicast book is well structured and written in a 'user-friendly' style (one of the best cisco books). You'll definitely enjoy this book. In my opinion, the QoS book is a good start for the real world. If you want to know more about a topic, then the cisco homepage is a good source. Unfortunately, I don't know whether there are better books out there. Thats the book I used when I passed. I also had lots of hands on with QoS, and that always helps. I would buy both available cisco press books regarding MPLS if you choose to go that path. I also did the Optical Elective. Marwa For the MCAST+QOS exam you will probably want to look at at Cisco Press - Beau Williamson Developing IP multicast networks Cisco Press - Srinivas Vegesna IP Quality of service Syngress - Mike Flannagan Administering Cisco QOS for IP networks. Obviously Cisco.com has a wealth of information. Also, you should study the blueprint for the exam and be aware that the blueprint covers some areas not in the QOS books (but these are covered by documents on CCO). For the MPLS exam (which I dont have experience of) You could try Cisco Press - Ivan Pepelnjak, Jim Guichard MPLS and VPN Architectures (CCIP edition) Sybex also have a CCIP MPLS study guide out, but I dont know if it is any good. I am going through the MPLS reference for Sybex. I have no complaints yet of this book.
