What's up!   Hi;

This group is suppose to target for intermediate to expert level
 cisco user.
I do not know why there is so many stupid question appear in the group
 lately.

For example, does cisco 2523 perform frame relay switch?
I do not know why they can't find information in the cisco web site.

I do not mean to offend anyone. But just want to raise an issue.

Come on lads (and less frequently, lasses).

Is this a testosterone thing? We seem to have an amazing amount of bickering
and one-upmanship.
I think if you have to put someone down to get a leg up, it's not worth
bothering.
This bickering very rarely seems to come from the Gods of the group.
Where someone of intermediate level may not want to lower themselves to
answer a seemingly simple question, the more mature will offer a quick
complete answer. (Erase quick for Howard).
People build up a mental picture of the regulars. I'm sure a quick answer
has a more positive effect than a FLAME.
In 27 years time when I've progressed to the Gods of the group, I hope I'll
draw my pension with a (fairly) clear conscience.

I really think we need to mellow out a bit for the good of the group.
Go on, have a go (and a beer).

It certainly can be suggested that BGP beering is more interesting
than BGP peering. But as to the testosterone, I suggest you look
carefully at TCP port 25. Mail bonding may be at work.

Wow, I can't believe you guys are really having this conversation

Knowledge is absolutely useless unless it is shared. Creation, invention,
imagination all originate from knowledge. Questioning is the beginning of
anything and everything.

No questions are stupid. They are just the keys to a puzzle.

There is no such thing as stupid question. People have questions so they
ask. We are here to share knowledge. Selfish people like you are a waste
of bandwidth in this groupstudy! Please be a bit more considerate next
time when you send out something.

Well I believe groupstudy.com has lists for people of different levels.
Last I looked, there were 3, for the associate, professional, and expert
levels. Perhaps what was being suggested was stricter compliance to that.

2001-05-17 Thread Kevin Wigle

And how do you propose to enforce that?

Someone asks a stupid question so s/he's kicked off the pro list?

Hey! that was a CCNA question - get outta here!

You can study other exams before taking the CCNA - what group does that put
you in?

Nope, the criticism levied was just.
