Re: CCIE prep [7:30730]
As an uninvolved onlooker to the thread, I'd say you can't get much fairer than that. One thing I'd say Michael, is that when I looked at your site, I was only a little suspicious because all the contacts were via e-mail and no one was named. If I had problems, I'm probably old fashioned but I would like to speak to someone if possible. It would also made me feel a little more secure about sending you my hard earned, if there was more than just an e-mail. I'm sure this probably isn't the case once you book lab time, but just browsing it might be more inviting. Your post appearing on the group has already made your company seem more accessible. Just letting you know my impression of it. I'm sure there's room for a venture of this kind and your racks seem reasonable enough to re-coup some of your outlay without making you a millionaire which seems fair enough to me. Also on the bright side, I think this thread's unintentionally given you more good publicity than bad. Okay, it looks like I jumped the gun. I wanted to publically apologize to both Mikes! :) There was another company using false email accounts to advertise their product last week, and I thought we were seeing more of the same. Sorry about that guys! Both Mikes are good people. Michael Brady is a good guy and Im sure will provide excellent service to anyone out there!!! :) (trying to get my foot out of my mouth) -Brad Ellis CCIE#5796 (R&S / Security) Network Learning Inc [EMAIL PROTECTED] ""Michael Brady"" wrote in message [EMAIL PROTECTED]">news:[EMAIL PROTECTED]... > Hello Group, > > I normally wouldn't jump into a discussion about this (and I normally only > post in the CCIE group), but I would like to clarify a few things about > ccRouters.com. RE: CCIE prep [7:30730]
Hello Group, I normally wouldn't jump into a discussion about this (and I normally only post in the CCIE group), but I would like to clarify a few things about ccRouters.com. First of all, Michael Lea (who started this thread) is not the owner and doesn't have any interest in the success of the site. He is a customer who rented some time from me and was happy with the service and wanted to let others know (like others do for all resources available). Secondly, the name wasn't chosen to be mistaken for ccbootcamp. I think everyone here knows who ccbootcamp is and knows what they have to offer. Besides, there are several other sites that start with "cc" that provide resources for Cisco Certification (i.e. - ccprep.com, ccstudy.com). I have personally purchased several things from Brad and Marc (including attending their bootcamp class) and have been pleased with their service. ccRouters was started so I could try to recoup some of the cost of acquiring the rack to prepare for my CCIE and not to imitate ccbootcamp. Lastly, the rate for a 16-hour session stated below is the regular price and does not reflect the special pricing available. Thanks, Michael -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Carl Sent: Thursday, January 03, 2002 11:00 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: CCIE prep [7:30730] Brad, Just because the site starts with CC we will not confuse it with yours This may be hard to believe but their are other companies out there besides yours.. RE: CCIE prep [7:30730]
In speaking with various companies regarding smaller increments of rack time (8 hours), I have found that trying to administer the smaller increments can be an administrative nightmare. After seeing what Brad and Marc's company has to offer in terms of rack setups, I can understand why they have such a long lead time to get access. Their setup is incredible! They'll probably have to add more racks because of the demand. OTOH, smaller increments make sense for a lot of reasons as well. Suppose I want to spend the last couple of weeks before the test doing certain specific things - voice, ATM, Cat configuration, for example? A couple of 8 hour sessions ( or less ) might be just the thing. Also, Brad, at present your racks require how much lead time to schedule? Last time I looked, it was weeks to months. One other place I looked it was days to a couple of weeks. I don't know at what point it makes it worth yours or any competitor's operation to add more racks, and I am not sure what the tolerance is for long lead times to get access. Supply and demand meet impatience. :-> I will say that in my experience, it has always been easy to reach someone in your office to check out various things, or to do voice testing.
