Forget Bing, that's not the point. The point is that we need a common

John:

1. I have no idea what 'pwned' is, unless that is a major spelling error.
2. The website you included, comes up as a 404 error.
3. Your use of the word 'panjandrum', makes no sense.

Time for you to run some malware scans.

. Install Spybot as suggested and do the Immunize thing.

I think the ultimate cause of this was that you probably invited it
onboard. i.e., it wasn't some virus payload. You need to be real
careful when installing apps. I think you're running Win7 now? That's
good, but add more protection by running a limited user account, and
keep UAC set fairly high.

PS pwn is pronounced pone rhymes with bone. Or pwned poned

We don't have enough information, really, to tell you.

Here are some possibilities:

1. You don't understand how the links are displayed in Google.

2. The link you go to is the same one, but it redirects you to another
link.

3. There is some problem with your DNS.

4. You aren't really at Google, but a phishing site.

5. You have some malware on your system.

1. I do understand how the links on Google are displayed

2. I tried that a couple times, to see if that was a possibility. When
I copied the link and tried it in IE, there was the same problem.

3. The DNS is fine.

4. I know how to get to Google. As for a phishing site, that sounds
plausible.

5. I sure hope not.

When you click on a link on a Google search results page the link goes
back to Google with the URL of the site you want to go to passed as a
parameter. Google records your action and may do other processing
based on your Google preference settings. It could be that something
odd is happening there. But you really did not provide us with enough

The address shown with the link, after the search, is not the address
