[Cooker] newer gideon/kdevelop3 packages
Hi, I uploaded a new version of my gideon/kdevelop3 packages. Also offer a years or 6 months free membership to the person who reports the "Most Critical" bug which is Confirmed. This wouldn't really cost MandrakeSoft any thing other than a few MB of Bandwidth of club packages. Membership to Mandrake Club would be the cheapest option but others such as a "Free Copy of ProSuite" or a "DVD version MandrakeLinux" signed by the MandrakeSoft Developers might work as well. This would probably would help boost interest in Bug reporting and Beta testing among the wider Mandrake Community. This would need to be advertised quite clearly and throughly during the final testing process to work and could be linked to a clear and detailed guide or description of how to test, find bugs and report them. Chad Chad this is a great idea. But bug hunting is not the problem. The problem is fixing them.

[Cooker] new kdevelop rpm
Hi all I updated my kdevelop package, and corrected (hopefully) all I have been asked last time I posted about this here. This binary was compiled under Mandrake 9.1 and works also in my rc2 box. Enjoy! %changelog * Wed Oct 9 2003 el cuco <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> - Cleaned up the spec from old 2.X version - The release is now automated - Clean scriptlet update - Fixed menu making script - The spec lists the files in a more sane method - Removed x-fortran.desktop and x-pascal.desktop because of conflicts with kdelibs-common and mandrake-mime - Added a macro for Mandrake 9.2 -- diego, 19 Tishrey 5764 Please avoid sending me Word or PowerPoint attachments. [Cooker] xmms theme
Hi I dont know how come anyone failed to notice it. RedHat ships xmms with a blue curve theme. Mandrake does not ship a Galaxy theme for xmms. I found one in kdelook: http://kdelook.org/content/show.php?content=8100 Please add it to xmms! and contribs! [Cooker] wine in mdk92
Hi, I need to beta test a Windows App, and I tested it under wine. I have found that wine basicly works (and sets up the configuration quite well on it's own). Howvere the "c:\" is under /var/lib/wine which is not writable by my user. A quick fix is setting this dir g+rw to my group. Any one has a better idea here? That will work out of the box? Fonts are a problem (since I need to set my own fonts, and the dir is not listed in the afm dirs). Please comment, gideon from cvs, i will try and upload once a week, compiled on 9.1 (runs in 9.2) http://iglu.org.il/pub/Hebrew/diego/kdevelop/ dosemu (compiled in 9.0, runs in 9.1, 9.2), please run first time in a console, then you can use the menu item: http://iglu.org.il/pub/Hebrew/diego/dosemu/ several linmodems for 9.1, soon to add 9.2 (not all made by me, but stolen from arround the web): http://iglu.org.il/pub/Hebrew/diego/linmodems/mandrake/ i also maintain the ksetiwatch binaries (on the official site), the system is 9.1 in that case. Re: [Cooker] drakx dies when choosing hebrew installation
Just wanted to say, that now the installers issues have gone. It boots nicely (tested using the mdkinst_stage2.bz2 from cooker). However, still the ugly fonts issue exists. This is very easy to fix, just add a font from the fonts-hebrew package (I can suggest Nahlieli) to the X11 fonts dir, repackage and its done, since fontconfig will handle the rest of the configuration (mkfontdir could be run before compressing the file but if I remember install2.pl did it at some point no?). [Cooker] mkcd.pl
Hello all... this is my first post.. so sorry if this is old behaviour.. i download the current misc dir from sunsite.uio.no, the cooker one the mkcd.pl scrip have this line... -d $work_dir or mkdir "$tmpdir/.build_hdlist"; this simply not works [root@pc-lab1 misc]# ./mkcd.pl Not enough arguments for mkdir at ./mkcd.pl line 25, near ""$tmpdir/.build_hdlist";" Execution of ./mkcd.pl aborted due to compilation errors. [root@pc-lab1 misc]# so... i change it this way. -d $work_dir or system "mkdir $tmpdir/.build_hdlist"; and works ok... apropos what perl version are you using for this one? see ya Juan Diego
