I think it's a script who try alwauys to probe the outdated

Yes it's a script that gives only the up to date sites to users. Each
time we announce a new release, people want to have it at once and we
have to give an list of full up to date FTP mirrors.

FYI the aarnet mirror is limited to austalian users so we have to check
it manualy in touch with its FTPadmin.

the difference between Hydrogen-Beta3-Install-ISO and the
Mandrake-Final-ISO. The latter one is by size bigger (ftp.free.fr) and by date
created earlier than the first one -- so there must be some differences.

(By the way: the most stable version I tried on my machine is what I created

All the rpms that start from about h on on the extension CD are bad (

It sounds from little remarks here and there, that 7.1 has gone final and
off to be pressed/packaged. Where are the final ISOs? And if they aren't out
yet, WHEN? shaking by collar WHERE DAMNIT!!!??

take the 7.1b3, tis the same...

I think the fact that there has been no official announcement seems odd. That
and considering the fact that the word "beta" is in there- it may scare off a
few.

Having not used the ISO's through the testing process, I must ask. Is
the ext cd image still broken? The date on it is 05/16 which strikes
me as being before the reported problems with it.

Hmm.

But I still cannot work with X 3.3.6 immediately after installation, it
misses some libraries. Last try was yesterday. I wouldn't consider it as
final in any sense.

Riyadit would appear that unlike past releases, they are
holding off on putting the release iso's on the mirror sites
till the retail boxed sets are in place in the retailer's
stores. So, when the retail stuff is all in place then
they'll put the iso's on the mirrors and announce the
release. Sounds like good sound marketing to me (if I'm
correct). :-)

I downloaded from free.fr and have never had any problems with the ISO that
I know of. Everything installed fine and is working fine.

I am using beta 3 from free.fr I had no problems installing even from the
EXT CD. I installed from both CDs.

Is there a problem with TAR in beta 3? I always try to find RPMs for
software that I want. Ok, call me lazy. I have been trying to install the
BTTV drivers, but keep getting errors like 'this appears to not be TAR file'
on every file I try.

All the rpms that start from about h on on the extension CD are bad (
rpm doesn't see them as rpm's).
