[Bug 801858] [NEW] high cpu loads on using security enabled USB drives
Public bug reported: I have a JetFlash 620 8Gb Transcend drive. Whenever i insert it, the cpu load gets very high. This problem persists in 10.10 and 11.04, but it does not affect 10.04. udiscs --monitor gives the following added: /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sr0 changed: /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sr0 added: /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sdd changed: /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sr0 added: /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sde changed: /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sr0 added: /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sdd1 changed: /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sr0 changed: /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sr0 job-changed: /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sdd1 changed: /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sdd1 job-changed: /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sdd1 changed: /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sr0 changed: /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sr0 changed: /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sr0 changed: /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sr0 changed: /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sr0 changed: /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sr0 changed: /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sr0 changed: /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sr0 changed: /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sr0 changed: /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sr0 ..etc where sdd is the user data partition, sr0 is a non-writeable partition holding the security software. This also happens to my friend when mounting my usb hard drive(ext3). It never failed before 11.04, and it worked on 11.04 a while ago. [Bug 801396] Re: empathy-auth-cl segfault at libglib-2.0.so.0.2908.0
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is either missing or challenging to deal with as a ".crash" file. Please follow these instructions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer. If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable apport in /etc/default/apport and restart. Now open your file manager, navigate to your /var/crash directory and open the crash report you wish to submit. If this fails you will have to open a terminal and file your report with 'ubuntu-bug /var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash' where _my_crash_report.crash is the crash you would like to report. If you get an error that you aren't allowed to access this report you will have to file it with 'sudo ubuntu-bug /var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash'. I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more efficiently. Thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding. ** Changed in: empathy (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to empathy in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/801396 Title: empathy-auth-cl segfault at libglib-2.0.so.0.2908.0 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/empathy/+bug/801396/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 778058] Re: Gedit can't understand special characters
Yes it's reproducible. If you open a ftp site in krusader and than, open a file in gedit; gedit takes the information itself (it's visible on the header of window) and ask the password to you again (i was really confused here). I make sure the password is right, but gedit says no. Then i realised the password includes %23 instead of #. If you enter a wrong password and say the program not to remember; and than enter the password yourself; gedit then agree the password and let you see the file. I think krusader sends the password in a wrong way or something like that. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gedit in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/778058 Title: Gedit can't understand special characters To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gedit/+bug/778058/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 801542] [NEW] Left panel status should be saved between sessions
Public bug reported: The left panel (the one showing thumbnails, index, layers, etc.) is displayed by default when opening a PDF for the first time. If I hide it (F9), close Evince and re-open it with the same file, the panel is hidden. This is expected, OK. However, when I open a different file, the panel is displayed again. It seems that the display status of the panel is only saved for each files, and not as a global option. This is not consistent with the vast majority of other applications. [Bug 286774] Re: cannot see text, only line art
The PDF uploaded by Enrique is displayed correctly by Evince 2.32.0 on Ubuntu 11.4. I think that this bug "cannot see text, only line art" could be closed. However, as reported Mechanical snail, when selecting text the display of selected text become garbage (not really garbage, as you can see on the attached screenshot; seems to be a problem of size and color...). But the selected text can be copied/pasted in a text editor correctly. If its an Evince bug -- and if it's not a problem during the creation of this PDF -- it'd be better reported by a new bug report. ** Attachment added: "Capture-nordea-netpost-2.pdf.png" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evince/+bug/286774/+attachment/2180251/+files/Capture-nordea-netpost-2.pdf.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/286774 Title: cannot see text, only line art To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evince/+bug/286774/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
