Hi Alexandro and all the translators in Pootle, I'd like to briefly explain the privilege configuration of Pootle. The initial setting for a new account only permits 'suggestion' not 'submit'. - If you're a language lead, you need to notify the Pootle admin ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) that you're a lead. Then I'll give you the administration privilege include translate privilege for your language. - If you're a translator, you need to ask your language lead to give you the translate privilege. After then, you can see the 'submit' button. I created a wiki page regarding Pootle user guide before starting the translation cycle and announced it in IRC meeting. However, it seems that many translators still don't get the information. One more thing you probably already know about it. The users signing up to Pootle don't have writing rights by default. Do you have any idea why this is happening? Hi Aijin, With this anyone who registers on Pootle would be able to contribute translations that go into OOo without a JCA - does this not create a problem? If it does I would suggest that we only allow contributors with JCA to be given translate rights and others to be given suggest rights - which I think could be considered the same as your ability to submit a bug report for OOo. Another option... if we are committing translations to VC (I don't think we are now) could it only be the person who commits that needs JCA? In any case I think we'll need to make this clear on the contribution project description pages on Pootle. Well, 2 weeks ago, the meeting was well attended and I don't remember
anybody complaining about the time. It's not an easy job to schedule a
meeting across different timezones and which fits into everybody's work
as well as personal schedule
I am more than glad to host next meeting at a different time, we can
even think of rotating the time zones but I would like to receive
more constructive feedback.
