Hi Martin,

Joost created new test cases for the 3.3 features. If you have
translated the previous test cases, then you only need to translate the
new ones. I'd suggest to create an issue for this and to attache all
languages to one issue only.

[l10n-dev] feature testing wiki-entry for next release

2010-06-17 Thread Thorsten Ziehm

Hi,

as in the past releases I collect(ed) all features, enhancements,
feature announcements and UI/help relevant CWS for the next release.
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Feature_Freeze_Testing_3.3

Please use this page to get an overview what is integrated until now
(m83 coming soon). The branch off [1] date for OOo 3.3 [2] is coming
soon and some feature CWSes will be integrated in the very next
milestones. So this page isn't final until now.

Beside the TCM tests provided by Joost [3] this page should be used to
test the new features and check them perhaps for L10N specialties.

Hi Rafaella, all.

Updated POT files are available at http://goranrakic.com/tmp/tcmpot/

It is also possible to merge existing translations using included merge
script. Italian tests as merged PO files are available from
http://goranrakic.com/tmp/tcmpot/it/ There are 1079 untranslated and 104
words marked fuzzy in Italian translation out of about 28000 words in
all TCM tests.

I would like to provide merges for other languages on request as soon as
time permits me or it would be even better if we can integrate this into
our l10n process.

The Python script I used to create them can be downloaded from
http://goranrakic.com/tmp/tcm2po.tar.gz and PDF manual is included.

I have added some modifications recently:
  1) PO context field is used to tag test parts instead of source field
  2) If translated test has ENGLISH IS UPDATED string the message will
be marked as fuzzy in the merged PO file.

On TCM tests for 3.3, I have a small bug report about test #110128, it
looks like it is in Russian while other tests are in English. Can you
check what went wrong here? http://dodaj.rs/f/w/mx/43dtaHc0/testsh.png

Back in October, I begin a wish list based on the feedback provided by
the community members after my first mail on this, here it is:

- easily manage export and import of standard formats (TBX), to allow to
work offline

- accessible and open source
- the ability to add comments to a word and the source of it (as in
SunGloss), to add links to other sources

- the ability to search in several languages (as in SunGloss)
- a date and history of the word entry
- a seamless integration with translation tools

Re: [l10n-dev] TCM test cases for OpenOffice.org 3.3 need translation

2010-06-17 Thread Joost Andrae

Hi,

Unfortunately I did not find a way to remove it...

Is this the only one? I guess that I can delete 110128 by going from
Home to Test Case Maintenance, selecting 3.3 product, Calc-6 category
and clicking on test ID to open Edit test form. There is Delete button
at the end, I do not know if it is working.

it is working as designed. I was so blind...thank you! ;-)

Best regards, Joost

[l10n-dev] NL webmasters: Please exchange 3.2.0 download links with 3.2.1

2010-06-17 Thread Marcus Lange

Hi all NL webmasters,

I would like to remind every NL webmaster. Please change your local
download webpage now to point to 3.2.1 files and no longer to 3.2.0.
We've moved all 3.2.0 builds to the archive which could be substituted
by already released 3.2.1 files.

So, the old 3.2.0 links will produce 404 error messages for the users
who wants to download OOo.

Thank you very much for your attention.

Best regards

Marcus

no. There are no plans to migrate OOo glossaries from SunGloss to
OpenCTI.

ok, I feel that we are still the poor parent of the project...
not sure if I understand this comment. Has OpenCTI all what you are
looking for for terminology management?

- easily manage export and import of standard formats (TBX), to allow to
work offline

- accessible and open source
- the ability to add comments to a word and the source of it (as in
SunGloss), to add links to other sources

- the ability to search in several languages (as in SunGloss)
- a date and history of the word entry
- a seamless integration with translation tools

If this is what you are saying, I have no problem in going with OpenCTI.

Just let me know,
Rafaella

 Kind regards,
 Goran

That was a more general comment on the tools we are using or the lack of.
TCM is not maintained any more but we are more and more to use it and we
have no alternative whatever the wish list we draw, SunGloss is not
maintained any more, we have more and more languages and there is no
alternative. After two years of continuous errors and failures (and
mails ;) we might have in several weeks, a new machine (but not for 3.3
if I understand well) to host Pootle. So when I consider the work we
will have in the next weeks, I'm not so happy and I feel I should battle
more for this project :-)

I was speaking of OpenICT because it was said that we may use it. But if
it's another tool, no problem for me. All I want is to push to have an
alternative to SunGloss without loosing the work already done.
I would like to know if it's a budget issue or a technical issue or
anything else. May be I can help to find money or the right tool or may
be it already exists and need to be further developed. And it's exactly
the same for TCS.

Kind regards
Sophie

No.

If you do not want to write comment for test 110078, just leave
placeholders empty and po2tcm script will ignore this message.

Some teams have additional comments where original test does not have
comment so I need to include these messages in POT for merge script to
work and not to lose data when converting TCM-PO-TCM.

Ok, I have modified script to provide empty message in the POT file.

It should work better now than with --placeholder-- tag, especially with
machine translation and translation memory software tools that we are
using.

New POT files are uploaded. As Joost deleted invalid test for 3.3 POT is
without that Russian message Serg was talking about.

Thanks for raising this issue.
