OpenOffice community survey - Please take it!
I've prepared, with help from other community members, a survey to gather some quick data about the Apache OpenOffice community. This information will be used for my Apache Conference talk in November, to assess how we have matured in these two years as a top-level Apache project and whether we can consider the setup phase to be closed. It's one easy, simple page: http://survey.openoffice.org/index.php/314592/lang-en Please take the survey now, your feedback is needed! Please answer also if you are just reading this list but you are not active, and please answer only once even if you receive multiple copies of this message (via different mailing lists). If you have any comments, follow-up to the dev list only. Thanks, Andrea. - To unsubscribe, e-mail: dev-unsubscr...@openoffice.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: dev-h...@openoffice.apache.org

http://ooo-site.staging.apache.org/index_asfcon.html I think http://ooo-site.staging.apache.org/images/* and http://www.openoffice.org/images/* will be merged. I suggest 2014-eu-234x60.png also copy to this directory or it should be linked from there. This bypass the predefined adblock filter. Re: Student Project
Hi Deborah, Deborah Digges schrieb: I'll get in touch with the QA team right away. Thanks for all your help. I've uploaded the patches and set the appropriate flags for review request, as indicated by Regina Henschel :) If there are any more such issues, I'd be glad to work on them,to familiarize myself with the whole process. Meanwhile, I'll scout for issues on bugzilla. I think you can start a larger project. Here is my proposal: Implement a regular polygon. The request [1] is very old. In the meantime we have got ODF1.2 specification [2] which defines the element draw:regular-polygon. The shape belongs to the primitive shapes, same as draw:rect or draw:circle or draw:ellipse. To see such shape, you can use the application Karbon from the Calligra suite and therein the shape Star. Calligra should be available from your Linux distributor. Apache OpenOffice has not yet implemented this kind of shape. Are you interested in this task? If yes, we can speak about details. Kind regards Regina [1] https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=18381 [2] http://docs.oasis-open.org/office/v1.2/os/OpenDocument-v1.2-os-part1.html chapter 10.3.6draw:regular-polygon - To unsubscribe, e-mail: dev-unsubscr...@openoffice.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: dev-h...@openoffice.apache.org
Re: Wiki:Step-By-Step Guide for Building on Windows not working
Hi Martin, On 11.09.2014 13:07, Martin Tille wrote: Hi Oliver, hello Dev Team, first, sorry I forgot to subscribe, I catched up with that now. no problem. I also forgot to look in advance, if the posting was moderated. I also made some experiments and found the error. I'm going to change/describe the steps at the wiki page within the next 2 days. The mistake was to use a Windows subversion programm (from apache itself) svn, version 1.8.10 (r1615264) to get the sources. Apparently the line breaks got broken because after using dos2unix program from cygwin on some packages they could be compiled. I now used the package subversion from cygwin directly and downloaded the sources again. It compiles at least to gtest with the identical configure/build settings as last time. Yes, Windows subversion programs often change the line endings on check-out. Thus, please use the cygwin subversion under Windows to work with the AOO subversion repository. Would be really great, if you could update the wiki accordingly. What are your problems in module gtest? Reporting a problem with the OpenOffice website
Hi I downloaded openoffice a few years ago and only use it occasionally. Each time I use it I am prompted to register it. But when I try, it says it needs to be done in a JRE environment. I have not a clue what that means. Would you please explain that for me? Thanks Steve

Thanks Steve Hi Steve, The registration process is no longer active, so you can just ignore that. A JRE is a Java Runtime Environment, which is available from Java.com. It is needed to run a few of the features of OpenOffice. However, if you haven't run into any other problems, you don't seem to need it. Your older version of OpenOffice requires and old version of the JRE and I don't recommend going through the trouble without a reason. You should consider getting a more recent version of OpenOffice from www.openoffice.org. That download process will redirect you to SourceForge and the download will start automatically. There is no need to click on anything at SourceForge. Best regards, Francis

I don't want to further delay all of your work, just wanted to play with this and show you. Look what happens if you add the divider above the event box - and push the text over to align with the text below. I just need to get it in line with the smaller birds of the right column. I couldn't get the divider birds to run across the width at the smaller scale - but it sure adds some possibilities. https://www.diigo.com/item/image/bhs8/j4e1 li img width=100%; src=http://www.openoffice.org/images/campaign-divider.png; no-repeat= scroll= center= top= rgba(0,= 0,= 0);= = img= p style=float: left;left;padding: 15px 50px 15px 50px; Nancy Web Design Free 24 hour pass to lynda.com.
