I tried with different settings mainly for the following attributes Weight initialization Gradient Descent Iterations Type of units: Autoencoder/RBM But none of the settings gave a reasonable accuracy. Furthermore, the predicted values for the test data usually *belong to 1 or 2 classes *(e.g. when trained on MNIST dataset, the program predict 0 and 1 only, though there are 10 possible classes) Also there are many reports of *poor accuracy of DL4J.* The best accuracy I could find reported was around 0.5 F1 score for MNIST, which is still very low. (e.g. MNIST can easily reach 0.9+ accuracy for even a basic deep network) I'm currently trying to delve in to the code for DL4J and figure out how the learning is done. We are also hitting the same issue when trying to use DAS DataAnalyticsService from ML to get the list of table names. Issue seems to get solved if DAS move to Lucene 5.0.0.wso2v1 which is the version used by registry (Solr). DAS team is currently working on this and for now we'll remove registry content search feature from ML which will lead to a exception during server shutdown [1]. Re: [Dev] wso2server.sh start/stop not working with space in
Hi Aruna et al, I think its useful to do a code-review on our batch/shell scripts in general. Over the years, we seem to have made a few mistakes here and there. While chatting with John on this specific issue we noted a few others. Hi John, May be you should report all what you've noted on a JIRA issue (on the CARBON jira project) and Kishanthan, Aruna and all can then schedule a review when they've found some time for this. Thanks, Senaka. On Wed, Jun 24, 2015 at 12:08 PM, John Hawkins jo...@wso2.com wrote: Hi, Senaka F and I were just discussing this yesterday and it looks like there are some other problems with the .sh file . Seneka pointed out a few things like... 1) the script is supposed to run under any scripting language (!/bin/sh) but then reverts back to bash only at one point when running a command. Seems like an inconsistency - what is the customer pre-req list - that they have to have bash ? In which case why do we put !/bin/sh ? 2) There are quite a few places where the right syntax is used e.g. “$CARBON_DUMP” but only a few others where it’s not. 3) Also: I just looked in Carbondump.sh and it seems to want only bash environment (“!/usr/bash”).this ties in with [1] where we suggest one pre-req in one file but another pre-req in another? So, it looks like we may have more than just this one inconsistency in the various cmd files. Seneka suggested some kind of code review - does this make sense to you as well ? Looks like the review may have to look at all the bat sh scripts we provide not just startserver.sh - just to make sure ? many thanks, John. Hi, Thank you very much for the clarification I also noticed that, in the parameters.jag, after retrieve the parameters, they are added to the variable array while changing the order Ex: hyperParametersArray[0] = sanitize(hyperParametersResponse[2].value); hyperParametersArray[1] = sanitize(hyperParametersResponse[1].value); hyperParametersArray[2] = sanitize(hyperParametersResponse[0].value); Is there a reason for doing this? Re: [Dev] [ML] Changing the return JSON of WSO2-ML API calls
Hi Thushan, What we are getting from API has the alphabetically order (enforced by query response and by the way we persist hyper-parameters in DB). But we need to enforce some logical order for hyper-parameters in our UI. This is the reason to change the order. [Dev] Requesting Information on Devices and versions for Device Compatibility Testing for ES 2.0 Release
Hi ES team, The testing team needs to know the Devices and their versions that needs to be tested for the ES release. We need the following details 1.Mac OS Versions 2.Mobile and Tab Devices and their versions 3.Android and iOS versions and it would be great if the Mobile team can let us know the devices they have for testing purposes in order to borrow them if needed. Hi Thushan, Nope, we do not have one at hand as of now, but we will need to do one when time permits. What are you trying to do? Hello CD, Thank you very much for the explanation. It makes sense now On Thu, Jun 25, 2015 at 3:02 PM, CD Athuraliya chathur...@wso2.com wrote: Hi Thushan, What we are getting from API has the alphabetically order (enforced by query response and by the way we persist hyper-parameters in DB). But we need to enforce some logical order for hyper-parameters in our UI. This is the reason to change the order. So you will have to add your new algorithm to relevant .jag file manually (by updating markup). But for hyper-parameters it should work by adding them to machine-learner.xml as Nirmal has mentioned. We will be fixing algorithm.jag soon to retrieve algorithms from API, but for now please follow these steps. Regards, CD On Thu, Jun 25, 2015 at 10:11 AM, Nirmal Fernando nir...@wso2.com wrote: Ok. Few pointers below; 1. We have all the default set of hyper parameters for each algorithm in machine-learner.xml file. https://github.com/wso2/carbon-ml/blob/master/features/ml/org.wso2.carbon.ml.core.feature/src/main/resources/conf/machine-learner.xml#L55 2. If you like to add a new algorithm, you should first add it in machine-learner.xml file. 3. Then, once you select your new algorithm via UI, you'll get the default set of hyper parameters. Re: [Dev] wso2server.sh start/stop not working with space in
Hi John, Thanks for pointing out these issues. We will review our script files and fix these issues for the next release. I have made this jira a must fix for the next release. Also If you have any other suggestions or improvements that can be incorporated into our script files, please feel free to shoot them as-well.
