Don't quote me on it but I get the impression Red Hat are aware of not upsetting people regarding re-distribution of non-free stuff. Mix that with a wish to go 'completely' F/OSS and you soon lose non-free support. This includes F/OSS derivatives of non-free codecs etc. A pain for first time windows users but not a big deal to anyone who has spent any time with Linux. -- Using Opera M2: http://www.opera.com/mail/ -- Next meeting: C4L and Bournemouth, Wednesday 2010-06-02 19:00 http://dorset.lug.org.uk/ http://www.linkedin.com/groups?gid=2645413 Chat: http://www.mibbit.com/?server=irc.blitzed.org&channel=%23dorset List info: https://mailman.lug.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/dorset

I lied about the car park; there isn't one attached to the pub. I was misled by the link to Google on the Hogshead page which said that the pub was about 1/2 mile from where it really is. However, Streetview is your friend and that reveals that there is a public car park next door. I couldn't quite read the charges, but presumably they won't be too usurious at 8 pm! [Dorset] Next Meeting & C4L Visit - One week tonight
Hi, The next Meeting is one week tonight. For those who've sent their details to David it will start at the C4L data centre see: http://www.bournemouthdatacentre.co.uk. The location of C4l can be seen at http://maps.google.co.uk/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&msa=0&msid=102614788614423849298.00048630eb3ab3873c46f&t=h&z=18. Afterwards, or for those not going to C4L, the venue will be The Hogshead in Westbourne, see http://www.hogsheadwestbourne.co.uk/. I don't know this pub, but it does seem to have a small car park, I understand that those of us going to C4L can leave our cars there if we prefer.
