Hello,

Next to the word definitely, the most annoying misspelling I frequently
observe on-line is "loose" for the word lose. Will you fucking "loosers"
please shape up?

. . . and, George, will you please refrain from any further tortured
postings re: the economy and gold? I fear your hopelessly flawed
monetary theories may irreparably set back any emerging global
pecuniary freedom by decades.

[e-gold-list] Bananagold's demise very sad..

2003-03-13 Thread peelpee
Friends,

At the risk of burial under yet another avalanche of scam spams from
[EMAIL PROTECTED], and with no intent whatsoever to detract from the
ongoing and compelling lovefest between corwind and his currency
dealers, I am compelled to post regarding the demise of the venerable
and essential Bananagold.

IM insignificant, dirtbag O, Bananagold was the touch that put the
lustre and sparkle in e-gold, the enabler that made e-gold a desirable
and exciting currency, the key to utimately converting my e-gold into
tangible, hands on products like CD's and books, the final gratification
of my e-gold lusts and desires.

What a shame this wondrous service is not worth jpm's while to continue
to provide. It doesn't say much for the health of the e-gold community
in general, in my estimation. One might expect e-gold itself to promote
such a service to the end of ultimately building e-gold's importance and
relevance in the new world of e-commerce.

Banana, I'll miss you,

[e-gold-list] JP not posting??

2003-02-18 Thread peelpee
e-gold friends,

At the risk of generating additional tons of spam for myself, my
curiosity compells me to ask the list the following:

Do I infer correctly from a recent post that JP is no longer posting to
this list?

If that is the case, then this, IMO, is a substantial loss for this list
in terms of essential informational substance and welcome entertainment
value.

Also, if this is the case, could someone please post an accurate summary
of the circumstances involved? I guess I missed it.

How about pitching me a e-nickel or dime if you enjoy it, in e-gold, of

Finally, can someone tell me if the e-gold SCI included at the bottom of

[e-gold-list] ....is it political?

2002-03-20 Thread peelpee

Hello,

Yesterday, I offered to click my entire e-gold balance over to
www.antiwar.com (yes, I am one of the "peace queers") after reading a
particularly well done article by them reposted somewhere online.

I looked for the e-gold logo on their donation page, and then on the
whole sitenada. I knew they had an e-gold account previously, so I
was puzzled and wrote them with an inquiry and the offer of my donation.

The guy, Eric, replied that "he had been round and round with e-gold to
get an interface set up and couldn't get it to work, and then waited 4
months to get his out-exch money from e-gold."

Anyway, I told the guy to just use the simple html code for the SCI I'm
running, and to sell his gold elsewhere in the market when he wanted to
out-ex.

He must be completely soured on e-gold, because he didn't want my entire
balance (granted, not comparable to JPM's account) of hard
e-cashweird

I wonder if this is a political problem, e-gold attempting to
disassociate with this publication to stay on the good side of the
Washington Bombers? or am I too paranoid?

If so, then wouldn't it be an interesting exercise for 10 or 20 or a 100
sympathetic e-golders to mail him a modest donation offer?

[e-gold-list] libertarian essay with a nod to gold..

2001-09-26 Thread peelpee

E-mail message

From: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
(Glen R. & Melinda Sue Parshall) Date: Tue, Sep 25, 2001,
10:21pm (EDT-3) To: undisclosed-recipients: ; Subject: THE LIBERTARIAN,
By Vin Suprynowicz, Sept 4, 2001 Reply to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
FROM MOUNTAIN MEDIA
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE DATED SEPT. 4, 2001
THE LIBERTARIAN, By Vin Suprynowicz

Repealing the law of supply and demand

The U.S. Constitution guarantees us (Article I,
Section 10) that "No
State shall... pass any ... Law impairing the Obligation of Contracts.
..."

Nonetheless, the central planners -- blind to the spread of
new
poverty
and degradation following the dismal collapse of their similar efforts
around the world these past 80 years -- continue to insist they can
repeal
the laws of supply and demand, along with that right to private contract
which allows a prospective worker and a prospective employer to settle
between themselves on the rate they consider appropriate for a given job
of
work.

Latest in the lineup to propose such an absurd scheme of
central government planning is the Progressive Leadership Alliance of
Nevada, which
whines in a report released this week that precisely 57.3 percent of
Nevada jobs fail to pay a "living wage" -- whatever that is -- and that
the
state should thus blackmail any business which "benefits from public
money
through tax breaks, grants, loans or government contracts" into paying
some
new (start ital)state(end ital) mandated minimum hourly rate, as yet
unspecified but presumably higher than the current $5.15 (start
ital)federal(end ital) minimum wage.

Why? Because Nevadans "can work two full-time, minimum wage
jobs and still not make ends meet for your families," explained Susan
Chandler, a
consultant hired by the collectivists to generate this new study.

How shall we count the ways in which this bizarre proposal
is likely to
backfire?

First, Ms. Chandler admits 28 percent of minimum wage
earners are kids,
most of whom live at home with their parents and are just getting their
feet wet in the job market. A whopping 60 percent of minimum
wage-earners,
meantime, contribute only a second income for their households -- moms
or
granddads working part-time by choice.

Do we really want to ban moms with kids at home from seeking
part-time
work? Did anyone forbid these younger workers from getting a higher
education if they wanted to earn more? Do we really want to send the
message that you needn't bother -- folks like "PLAN" will get you a big
raise even if you (start ital)don't(end ital) get educated and learn
useful
skills?

What would happen if Burger King managers were actually told
they now had
to pay the average hamburger flipper $30 an hour, instead of $5 or $6?
Given that there's (start ital)some(end ital) limit to what folks will
pay
for burgers and fries, they'd either put in more burger-flipping robots
(relegating much of the current staff to the government dole) or close
completely. Right?

"But that's absurd," the central planners will scoff. "We'd
(start ital)never(end ital) mandate $30 an hour. ... Maybe eight or 10."

Sure they will, and without a word of apology. Back when the
first minimum wage was instituted at less than a dollar, PLAN's
predecessors would doubtless have dismissed as absurd the suggestion
that they'd (start
ital)ever(end ital) mandate a "minimum wage" of a fin, a fiver, half a
sawbuck.

What happened? Just ask yourself what today's $5 bill is
really worth. In
1930, five dollars would buy you a quarter of an ounce of gold. Today,
it
buys only one-fiftieth of an ounce of gold -- inflation having reduced
the
value of the fiat paper dollar by a factor of more than 12.

What causes such inflation? Things like government-mandated
"minimum wages." An hour of entry-level diaper-changing or
burger-flipping will never be worth more than a fiftieth of an ounce of
gold. Force employers to
hand over more fiat "dollar bills" for a given hour of work, and you
merely
inflate away the value of each such paper coupon.

Who suffers? Railroad widows on fixed pensions, to start
with.

All such mandated wage hikes really do is outlaw
lower-paying jobs. Many
a loading dock manager might be willing to take a chance on some
illiterate
now cadging quarters on the street corner at $3 an hour ... but not at
$5.

Each such increment raises the bottom rung of the employment ladder out
of
reach for a few thousand more desperate souls.
Meantime, all PLAN's whining about impoverishment depends on
the presumption these workers haven't already been pressed by (start
ital)existing(end ital) redistribution schemes into earning extra,
undeclared income on the side -- under-reporting their tips, perhaps?

Cities like Missoula, Mont. have already instituted such
"living wage"
proposals on a local level. To keep from driving local mom-and-pop
businesses bankrupt, they typically exempt businesses with "four
employees
or less." Gue

[e-gold-list] latest scam, e-gold acct activation

2001-05-27 Thread peelpee

Hello,

Oh, my, my! I done fell for it!

It looked so genuine, and despite an immediate sense of doubt---after
all, there has never been a decrease in the account statistics, nor any
mention at any time of account deactivation due to inactivity---looking
at the perfect e-gold site knock off and remembering I hadn't even
viewed my auxiliary account in months, I PUNCHED IN THE ACCT NO. AND
PASSWORD!

Subsequent to my laughable mental lapse in responding to the scam,
I received word from the venerable JMR and by e-gold list confirming my
initial scepticism regarding the official looking "activation notice"
from: admin@e-gold (is there such an addy?)..

Well, having already let the cat out of the bag, I proceeded to log on
to the account aformentioned to divine whether the scammer (Miller from
B.C.?) had cleaned me out.

I could hardly believe that all USD .19 worth of e-gold and silver were
still completely intact!

Take the money, muthafucka! Go on. I deserve a good skinning for my
idiocy---and BTW, thanks for the cheap lesson.

Perhaps it because of these circumstances that posters are requested not

[e-gold-list] html posters

2001-03-31 Thread peelpee

This is NOT a multi-part message in MIME format..

His apologies notwithstanding, Eric Gaithman continues to post to this
list in html, and repeatedly blockquotes entire pages of irrelevant
previous posts.

He has stated that he understands the rules of the list, and even posts
from time to time WITHOUT the annoying html portion attached, which
indicates that he can manipulate his equipment to post text only, should
he choose to do so.

Apparently, he does not choose to do so. How about the list moderator
cracking down on these recurring offenses with a suspension of posting
priveleges?

Eric is not the only one, either.

Mike Poulos, Destiny Worldwide, and Randy Johnson please stop posting,

[e-gold-list] Re: fishing

2001-02-11 Thread peelpee

Recently posted on list:

"The purpose of government is not to claim apriori rights, but to allow
homesteaders to claim their rights by protecting these rights from
others who might seek to invade their fishing territories once they are
established. To do this, the government needs to allow claims for
fishing rights in particular areas, for particular fish. Without such an
organized recognition of fishing rights, then no such fishing rights
could be claimed at all."

>>forrest remembers>>While working for various fishermen some years ago
in Alaska, I learned effective, non-governmental methods for controlling
fishing territories, etc.. The invasion of an established territory,
i.e. where one's own gear is currently deployed, is colloquially termed
"corking."

When one's deployed gear is "corked," or egregiously encroached upon,
the usual method of adjudication is administered with the blade of a
very sharp knife upon the lines of the offending gear (crab pots, in
this instance).

That method failing effectiveness, firearms are generally the next
recourse of choice. Naval vessels do not have a monopoly on bow shots,
or volleys amidships, for that matter!

Re: the economic heiroglyphics posted here recently (which,

When asked what he'd do if he ever hit the $10,000,000 super lotto, the

2001, 10:06am (EST-1) To: Subject: Re: [e-gold-list] e-gold ACCT
FUNDING

(Eric says)  This is technically against the user
agreement of your friend's credit/debit card. Much the same as it is a
"rule breaker" as a merchant to process the charges of a third party
merchant on your own credit card terminal. Your friend, in buying FOR
you on his credit card, then seeking re-imbursement from you with
e-gold, could later claim he did not receive the goods or services he
paid for with HIS card and attempt to "chargeback" his purchase.

(me says) BOLLOCKS ON THE TECHNICALITY, and please reread where I
mentioned the part about TRUST! In retrospect, the method is probably
unsuited for sticklers and worrywarts.

[e-gold-list] e-gold ACCT FUNDING

2001-02-02 Thread peelpee

Without wishing to slight any market makers or proxy merchants (no
apologies to wannabe regulators), the recent question re: e-gold account
funding posted on this list led me to this notion.

Simple, inexpensive funding of accounts is possible, assuming a willing
buyer and seller, using any in-place e-commerce marketing interface
applications and existing credit/debit protocols, e.g., I have e-gold I
am willing to spend on goods or services, and my acquaintance who wants
to buy e-gold has a debit/credit card he is willing to use to pay for
the goods I desire in exchange for my e-gold..

I direct my friend to the site offering the goods I desire, preselected
by me with a shopping cart or wish list (see Amazon.com for an excellent
wish list example), he springs for the stuff with a credit card and I
click him the corresponding amount of e-gold.

No middleman fees or charges (except the max. 50¢ spend charge)! Good
deal for buyer and seller.

Everything is in place to use this method right now at hundreds of
merchants online. All you need to take advantage of this type of trading
is someone you can trust to cut the deal with.

largesse, see my SCI at:

[e-gold-list] NEWEST OPPORTUNITY

2000-12-13 Thread peelpee

The following revolutionary new business idea, having been proven by
evidence published in the latest e-gold list digest convinces me to
offer a BRAND NEW OPPORTUNITY for a wildly successful e-gold exchange
program!

To take advantage of this unique opportunity, simply transfer funds to
account # 103300

All said transfers will be subject to the conditions and caveats set
forth below, with the exception that our new service will accept
transfers in ANY e-metal; gold, silver, platinum, OR palladium!

That's account # 103300. START BUILDING PROFITS IMMEDIATELY! All
transfers are GUARANTEED irreversible!

Yours in profiteering,
Forrest Munnybagges

2000-11-28 Thread peelpee

I wonder if all 47,000 or so funded account holders cannot access their
e-gold, or is it just me?

Disappointed again, ... Forrest
