[Elecraft] K2 power out accurate? (UPDATE/CLARIFICATION)
Evening All, I neglected to mention this one piece of information with my issue on the K2/10. The pinning of my Wattmeter happens when I have the K2 connected to my outside antenna in this order: K2 to Wattmeter to outside antenna. This is after I do a tune and get a low SWR. My K2 DOES have the KAT2 tuner installed. My antenna is a simple G5RV Jr. I originally said that I had it connected to a dummy load and that was happening. Sorry about that. I did connect the K2 to my Wattmeter, and then to my Dummy Load, and power output was within a Watt or so on different power settings. So, that tells me the Wattmeter is calibrated within tolerances and the power out appears to be accurate. I also verified this with my other HF radios, both kit AND commercially produced. Still, I wonder what would cause my Wattmeter to be pinned at 5W when transmitting into an actual antenna? The Wattmeter is the QRP Wattmeter from Oak Hills Research, and the 100 W dummy load is from them as well. 73, David KC9EHQ __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html

Re: [Elecraft] [K*] Hooks into the RTOS for an API
This is actually not quite true. The original Mac had some of the library code in ROM - Quickdraw, the file system, and various IO drivers come to mind, but the OS was most definitely supplied on floppy disk, and the disk was absolutely required for the Mac to boot and run. Updates to the OS were applied on mini floppies for quite some time. Also, over time things like the file system (going from MFS to HFS), drivers, and most other items were moved to disk. There was a 2x speed advantage to running from ROM instead of RAM, but that quickly disappeared as the Mac hardware evolved. By the time the Mac II was introduced, everything was on disk except for the boot code. Yes, I have been programming Macs since the original 128K Mac. I still have two of those around here, and both booted last time I tried. Still have the original loose-leaf version of "Inside Macintosh" also... Now I feel old… Jack B, W6FB p.s., I can't think of anyone who would even consider supporting products that have had the firmware modified by non-company programmers… Your assessment is right-on in that respect! Embedded control systems (especially radios) are kept very tight for a reason. On Jan 10, 2012, at 4:10 PM, kevinr wrote: > When the original Macintosh was introduced it booted from ROM. Re: [Elecraft] [KX3] Sideswiper mode for internal keyer (also K3)
Come again? How is it more difficult to use the menu to change the K3 to hand key mode than it is to use the menu to change the K3 to sideswiper mode?? I don't get it. As far as the required hardware being complicated, a short clip lead jumper across the dit/dah terminals of your paddle would probably do the job just fine. Worst case (depending upon the wiring in the K3) the jumper might need a series diode. Everything is simple to do in software when you don't have to spend the time do it or worry about unintended side effects. Re: [Elecraft] K2 power out accurate?
Hi Don! As always, thanks for the reply and info...Much appreciated. I am fairly confident of the Wattmeter's readings. It is an Oak Hills Research QRP Wattmeter. I spent a good 1/2 hour getting the correct readings for alignment with my DMM once the kit was finished. My dummy load is from Oak Hills Research as well, and I built it right around the time I built the Wattmeter this past spring. Again, when I made my final measurements with my DMM, I got a reading of 49.9 Ohms. Concerning the Wattmeter, I checked power readings into the Wattmeter using the load with my other HF gear. My Norcal 40A was reading 3 W at key down, my Yaesu was reading within a Watt of the meter, and so was my ICOM. I checked my ICOM against my antenna tuner too, and it was almost spot on. However, I did notice that my K1 was only putting out 1 W per the meter at full drive, but that is an issue for another thread. I was in CW mode when I was noticing this. My K2/10 has the KAT2 installed. I am just wondering if we did something wrong yesterday. We spent a good 3 hours on the procedure. 73, David KC9EHQ From: Don Wilhelm To: David Dietrich Cc: "elecraft@mailman.qth.net" Sent: Tuesday, January 10, 2012 6:03 PM Subject: Re: [Elecraft] K2 power out accurate? David, Yes, I have several "ideas". First of all, how confident are you of your QRP wattmeter readings? Know that typical wattmeters can be in error by as much as 20% of full scale - if the full scale is 10 watts, that is a 2 watt potential error *anywhere* on the meter scale. Secondly, what is the actual impedance of your dummy load? If your dummy load is a good 50 ohm resistive load, I would state that the K2 power indication is more accurate than any external wattmeter - OTOH, if the dummy load is not 50 ohms resistive (check with an antenna analyzer), then your readings can be "all over the map". The base K2 power output reading is only accurate if you are driving a load that is 50+j0 - in other words, a perfect 50 ohm load. If one adds the KAT2 or the KAT100 or the KPA100, then that situation changes because those options add a real wattmeter - the basic K2 uses an RF voltage detector which is accurate, but only into a 50 ohm resistive load. In all my testing of the K2 (going on 7 years now), I have found that the K2 power indication is better than most wattmeters - given the condition that the dummy load is a good 50 ohm pure resistive load - in other words, a precision dummy load. Sources of dummy loads meeting my requirements for measurement accuracy, try Ridge Equipment https://www.ridgeequipment.com/store/index.html. They have dummy loads accurate enough for measurement purposes - many "dummy loads" are sufficient for providing a load on a transceiver, but may not be of "measurement quality". 73, Don W3FPR On 1/10/2012 6:23 PM, David Dietrich wrote: > Hello All! > > My friend and I spent yesterday aligning my Norcal 40A and recently finished > K2/10 #7164. Re: [Elecraft] [KX3] Sideswiper mode for internal keyer (also K3)
Hey Ron, I don't know if I'd like a bug mode for an iambic paddle. MFJ has such a thing built into at least some of their keyer models, and it feels weird to me. That said, I absolutely love using a bug. I just got, about a month ago, an Electro bug, circa 1930. Got it off eBay, and it's in beautiful shape and sends very nice code. All the extra dits are all mine, but after several weeks of use, I find fewer and fewer of those, and think I finally have the thing adjusted to comfortable use that I can make sound pretty decent. I also have a sideswiper, and yes, it really is harder than it sounds to get good code out of it. I definitely send faster with a standard straight key than with a sideswiper. No question. It's definitely a skill that will take some time to master, at least it has been for me. Lots of fun with the bug, though. Now maybe us oddballs can get a single lever paddle for the KX3? Eh? Heck, this Electro bug weighs probably three KX3's! [Elecraft] Lo P on 10 and 12 meters
Hello, Once again I'm getting a Lo P message when I try to tune on 10 and 12 meters. Last month all was well but after coming home this month and selecting 12 meters I noticed it was quite, not the s meter reading I expected, 10 meters was also quite. I tried tuning, using AUTO and ALT, and got the Lo p message even with the power set to 10 watts. I have had this issue before and it was a bad solder joint on D4 last time. So since it worked before and now it's not it makes me wonder what other component can have a bad solder joint. I was also wonder if maybe my antenna might be an issue. I'm using just a long wire hanging out an up stairs window for now connected to a tree about 25 feet in the air. Would getting a better antenna like a G5RV( I think thats it ) would help the situation? Or maybe a better quality wire? But I think it's an internal issue. Going to need a watt better so can anyone recommend a good QRP watt meter. 73, Ed KE7HGA -- View this message in context: http://elecraft.365791.n2.nabble.com/Lo-P-on-10-and-12-meters-tp7174518p7174518.html Sent from the Elecraft mailing list archive at Nabble.com. __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
Re: [Elecraft] K3Util and P3Util Error: Help System encountered a problem. [Linux Ubuntu 10.04]
Larry, First, compile/install the GtkHTML library... that would be libGtkHTML or some package named something VERY similar. It ALSO appears that libgvfsdbus is installed but you have the 32 bit version and you need the 64 bit version. If there are two versions of the library, 32 bit and 64 bit, install/compile the 64 bit library. It looks like a dependency link may be missing or incorrect, either for the binary file or compilation process. I am hoping you know how to compile/install software libraries in Ubuntu, if not, maybe you should not be using Ubuntu, OR go to an Ubuntu help site and figure out how to compile/install software in that Linux OS. FWIW, all Linux distros are not the same when it comes to installing software. Good luck. When the original Macintosh was introduced it booted from ROM. Hooks were provided in the ROM code to allow external fixes to the OS. An API was released so application or OS programmers could modify the existent code. There are good and bad sides to this. In the case of the K2, K1, K3 (and most probably the KX1 and KX3) the timing of the RTOS is fairly strict. If an API programmer added their own code through the hooks into the RTOS the timing would change for many things. You could write your own code and add it to the mix but then the RTOS timing would be upset and you would most probably break many things. The interactions between the many and varied tasks of the RTOS would change and mostly for the worse. I realize the RTOS code for the Elecraft gear will never be released to the public. So the work of adding new tasks to the timing loops of the rigs' RTOS falls on the in-house code jockey(s). Remember this when you ask for new features or tweaks to existing code. Re: [Elecraft] KX1 in a Box
Ron and all, I agree that "well padded" cases such as the Pelican for any modern radio is overkill. Today's solid state radios are not fragile (glass is fragile, radios have not been fragile since the disappearance of vacuum tubes from our radios). Today's radios can withstand a substantial drop that will deform the enclosure and they will still work (reminds me of - "it takes a licking and keeps on ticking"). The Pelican case does make an enclosure that is probably immune to airline baggage handlers abuse, and is watertight for those who need that aspect, and the compartments provided by the pull-apart foam make it a neat installation for any transceiver. It does make a very nice package. As Ron pointed out, it is not the "only game in town" - any carry case can do the job satisfactorily, even those grocery store "green bags" can be placed into service for carrying your radio and other parts of your portable station into the field. Pack your Elecraft radio so the enclosure will not be damaged in transport or shipping, and the radio function will be OK (unless something was loose or screws were missing) when it is removed from the transport (shipping) container and put into service. Now answer why I receive so many transceivers for repair with loads of tape securing the bubble wrap "every which way", and fragile stamps all over the packing. Sorry for the RANT, but solid state devices are not fragile, and one does not have to tape every corner of the wrapping material - one or two pieces of tape to hold the bubble-wrap in place is enough. 73, Don W3FPR ] 73, Don W3FPR On 1/10/2012 6:10 PM, Ron D'Eau Claire wrote: > Very nice. Adding an extra mode to treat either tip or ring of the paddle connector as a straight key is not a huge software problem, and would make for a very nice feature for portable operations at pretty low cost. I wish the KX3 firmware was open source, but since it's not I'm asking here in the hope that the feature will be added at some point even though, admittedly, it's probably a minority request. All the sideswipers I've ever seen in 58 years as a ham and a couple more as a really interested little kid, aside from some being real works of art, had the two stationary contacts tied together. They went to the "hot" side of the key plug, the base went to the sleeve. Plug it into your Heath AT-1, Viking II, or whatever, and send away. If you've never seen a real one, think of two J-38 hand keys mounted base-to-base on edge. So: 1. Procure a plug appropriate to your rig. For a K3, a 2 ckt [tip, ring, sleeve] 1/4" phone plug will work really good and probably last a long time. 2. Carefully connect the two stationary contacts on the key together [if they are not already connected] and connect that to one wire in a 1-pr [2-wire] cable. 3. Connect the other wire to the base contact on the key. 4. On the other end of the cable, connect the first wire to the tip contact of the plug. Connect the second wire to the sleeve contact. Don't connect anything to the ring contact. 5. Now, say "Oh crap," undo what you did in step 4 and feed the plug cover onto the wire, back of cover first. 6. Redo Step 4, and tighten the plug cover. 7. Insert the plug into the KEY jack on the back of the K3. 8. Put the K3 in CW on the band of choice. 9. Call CQ. Zero lines of code and Wayne can go back to all the re-engineering requests for the KX3. If you have a K2 or a KX1, the appropriate plug is a 2-ckt [tip, ring, sleeve] mini-stereo. There are several sizes, take your radio to the store and see what fits. You have to go into the menu and select "Hnd". Hello All! My friend and I spent yesterday aligning my Norcal 40A and recently finished K2/10 #7164. We really did not play too much with the K2 after we finished aligning as we were also working on some other things in my shack. When I was starting to really get to know the ins and outs of the radio, I noticed that the power out indicated on the display when you adjust the power knob is much higher as indicated on my QRP Wattmeter. I set the radio to around 2.0 W, and the Wattmeter is showing around 5W. When I was at about 5-6 W, I pinned the needle on the Wattmeter. We followed the manual to a "T" and used a frequency counter, my Wattmeter, a 'scope, and signal generator to do the alignment. Any ideas? Re: [Elecraft] [KX3] Sideswiper mode for internal keyer (also K3)
Way back when the K2 was still a new product, I asked for a "bug mode" in which the dit part of the keyer worked normally (but without the dit memory) and the dash side required the operator to press the paddle for each dash, just as one does on a bug. I use a bug most of the time, and if I switch to the keyer for more than a few minutes, it really interferes with my spacing on dashes when I return to the bug. So I wanted a mode that worked just like a bug. In spite of frequent discussions, the idea never got any traction. That's what happens to us "oddballs" who operate differently from the mainstream. It's just not worth the time and money to develop the code for us. So, when necessary, I use the keyer and simply tap the dash paddle for each dash as if it was a bug. The only irritation doing that is that I can't use the customary long dash for zero. If I'm not careful I send two dashes on the keyer, Hi! Like Peter I don't think I'll tackle a sideswiper. A straight key and bug are enough for me. I got very comfortable with an iambic keyer but quit because I enjoyed the challenge of using a bug properly even more. I bet the sideswiper gang feel the same way about their keys. 73, Ron AC7AC __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html

Re: [Elecraft] K1 Audio Problem after fitting KNB1 Noise Blanker
Ray, OK since the tone dd not stop during a TUNE, that places the problem after transistor Q10. Refer to the schematic for the RF board sheet 1 in the lower left corner - everything there is suspect. You should be able to short U4 pin 3 to ground and kill the sound - if that is true, the problem is with the U3, Q10 or Q11 stages and their associated components. If shorting U4 pin 3 to ground does not stop it, it is a problem with U4 and its components. Be aware that a leaky capacitor (in conjunction with a resistor) can create an unintended oscillator. Replacement of capacitors may be in order - but unfortunately, I cannot tell you which ones. As a bit of history -- at one time, the KX1 0.1 uF capacitors were a problem (problem now fixed), but the 0.1 uF capacitors in the K1 are not the same - however, if you substituted a blue body 0.1 inch lead spacing capacitor for a 0.1 uF capacitor used for the K1, then that is suspect. "Tis a mystery right now - let's hope it can be found in short order. I would re-flow the soldering at U3 and U4 just to see if a soldering problem is the cause. I suspect it is - and your opening the K1 to install the KNB1 just accelerated an impending failure point. 73, Don W3FPR On 1/10/2012 4:52 PM, Ray Spreadbury wrote: > Hi Don > The "whine" is a steady continuous tone (perhaps at 800 or 900 cycles), not > popping, nor a low pitched oscillation and in fact I wondered if the > sidetone spot was on or if the key was down. > It does vary in level with the AF gain control but doesn't change in pitch. > It is present whether there is a signal being received or not. Hi Don The "whine" is a steady continuous tone (perhaps at 800 or 900 cycles), not popping, nor a low pitched oscillation and in fact I wondered if the sidetone spot was on or if the key was down. Re: [Elecraft] [KX3] Sideswiper mode for internal keyer (also K3)
Hi Peter, Yes what you're suggesting would probably do the trick, but the reason for my request is exactly to avoid having to fiddle with adapters and unplugging the paddle (and inserting an extra spacer between the rig and the paddle) when switching modes, instead just doing it from the menu. It's a very simple thing to do in software, and much more complicated to do in hardware (and even if I made such an adapter I'd still have to switch the rig to hand key mode) - so a menu option to treat either tip or rig as a hand key would be the optimal solution! 73, Thomas On 10 January 2012 20:38, Peter Wollan wrote: > Thanks for the education. [Elecraft] [K3] Utility Program and code practice
Hi All, I have just discovered a new use for the K3 Utility Terminal program. The memory may seem small when you look at it on the VDU as it displays one line but in fact the memory is very large. The line goes on and on. Whole paragraphs can easily be entered and stored. Then one can send them as code practice text in perfect Morse. Thus as the ARRL does you could agree on a given article in a popular radio magazine and then send the text paragraph by paragraph using the sixteen memories. I suspect you can place more than a single paragraph into a memory but this is what I have done with a local ham who is getting ready to do his Morse test in order to obtain an A license in EI land. The only drawback is that the material can not be transmitted at slower than 8 WPM by the K3.One wants some margin when taking the test. You might say send it by hand with a straight key but if one is not used to 5 WPM this is fraught with its own difficulties. I normally operate around 22 WPM and some of you might tell me that I should go back and practice some more but putting this aside the K3 Utility is proving most helpful. For that matter one can load memories up with text and send it to your self for home practice. Yes the ARRL site has good code practice facilities and there are many other sites that do as well but this is yet another use for the K3 Utility. I was surprised at just how much information each memory can hold. 73 Doug EI2CN __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html

Re: [Elecraft] [KX3] Sideswiper mode for internal keyer (also K3)
The Elecraft keyers all treat one side of the paddle (the dit side, I think) as a straight key when the key is plugged in and the option is set to "hand". But it sounds like you want one paddle to generate dits when held down, and the other paddle to generate dahs, repeatedly. That's what I think of as a side-swiper -- pushing the single paddle one way generates dits, the other way produces dahs. If that's what you mean, I wouldn't call that a "straight key". Re: [Elecraft] KX1 in a Box
Thanks! The lining on the two sides opposite the main compartment is plastic from the lid of an icecream pail. It's been roughened with a dremel and grinding stone and the roughened side glued to the foam wall. Before I added it, the walls bowed out a lot, since they are only one block thick. The wall joined to the back wall is also pinned in place with two U shaped paperclips. It had come use after some use. I'll be gluing that in place as well. The far end (from the radio) of each antenna element is tied to each velcro cable-tie. White is the 24' vertical element. Orange, yellow, and green respectively are the 20, 30, and 40 meter band quarterwave radial elements. On Tue, Jan 10, 2012 at 11:56 AM, Mike F. wrote: > AK, > > Nice job! [Elecraft] [KX3] Sideswiper mode for internal keyer (also K3)
Hi Elecraft and fans, I am waiting with increasing excitement for the shipment of the KX3. I was just travelling to Denmark and operated there with my FT-817ND as OV5T. I am positive that if I'd had the KX3, I'd have been able to work many more contacts (although I still had a lot of fun with the FT-817). While on holiday I was doing some shifts as the SKCC K3Y/EU station. The Straight Key Century Club is one of my favourite activities on the air. According to the SKCC rules, contacts must be made using a straight key, sideswiper/cootie key or bug. I'd brought my Czech Army key along with my Begali Sculpture, and used the Czech key for the SKCC contacts. One of the great appeals of the KX3 is the "built-in" paddles, together with the internal ATU and battery charger (that I've also ordered), it makes for a completely self contained unit just the addition of a wire and a counterpoise to be the perfect portable rig. But I'd still like to be able to do SKCC contacts on it, without bringing anything extra along. For that purpose could you please add a "sideswiper" mode that can be used with the built-in paddles on the KX3? I.e. contact either left or right functions as a manual key. It could be configured in the "CW IAMB" option as a 3rd mode other than A or B, assuming the menu is the same as on the K3. For that matter, it would also be great if the K3 could get that same feature, so I could use the Begali Sculpture as a side swiper if I encounter a SKCC operator and don't have one of the straight keys connected and handy! 73, Thomas M0TRN (aka OV5T) __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html

[Elecraft] K1 Audio Problem after fitting KNB1 Noise Blanker
Hi All I've just completed the Noise Blanker to retrofit into existing my 4-band K1, # 3020. Part of the installation is to remove C22 from the K1 RF Board & fit the female 8 pin connector at J1 which seemed to go OK. I then fitted the KNB1 to the K1 & went through the initial tests. There was immediately a fairly strong audio whine on all frequencies, all bands but there were no error messages & the menu for the NB (Off/Hi/Lo) worked with no problem. The whine is present with/without an antenna connected and after removing the NB board, the whine is now still present. CW signals can be tuned in fine so the problem appears to be just in the audio. Ant ideas please guys? 73 Ray, G3XLG __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html

Re: [Elecraft] OT - sound cards
Could you carefully solder a wire to the shell of a USB plug to use as a bonding point? 73, Bruce, N1RX Btdt: use SAL-MET flux after carefully filing/scraping a target bare spot on the shell. XACTO the boot carefully if needed to expose a target spot. SAL-MET works on every substance I've attempted, including stainless steel. I've kept the same bottle of the stuff around since the '60s when I bought it. Algalw. Maybe some could, but I don't think I could. It would have to be right next to the plastic/rubber cover. 73, Mike NF4L On 1/10/2012 6:20 AM, Bruce Beford wrote: > Could you carefully solder a wire to the shell of a USB plug to use as a > bonding point? > 73, > Bruce, N1RX > >> Neither of the flaptops (Toshiba& Mac) have a connector that has any way >> to attach a wire to (like a DB-9), and neither has a cable lock point. :-( >> 73, Mike NF4L > > > __ > Elecraft mailing list > Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft > Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm > Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net > > This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net > Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html > __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html

I asked this same question (off list) a few weeks ago and was informed by Al, N1AL that it probably would not be available in the initial firmware release, but was a goal for a future update. 73, Bruce, N1RX > With the shortly to be released video output card for the P3, will it be > possible to have the external monitor and the P3's display showing > different things. Neither of the flaptops (Toshiba & Mac) have a connector that has any way to attach a wire to (like a DB-9), and neither has a cable lock point. :-( 73, Mike NF4L On 1/9/2012 5:40 PM, Al Lorona wrote: > Shell of one of the metal connectors; or use a cable in the cable-lock jack. > > >> How does one bond a flaptop? >> 73, Mike NF4L > __ > Elecraft mailing list > Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft > Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm > Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net > > This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net > Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html > __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
Re: [Elecraft] OT - sound cards
While the connector is a good bet, I can't help but wonder it it's attached to a "chassis" inside. The Mac bottom comes off easily enough. I took it off to upgrade memory. I'm surprised Apple made it that easy. 73, Mike NF4L On 1/9/2012 5:37 PM, Fred Jensen wrote: > On 1/9/2012 2:00 PM, Mike wrote: >> How does one bond a flaptop? [Elecraft] P3: SVGA adapter question
With the shortly to be released video output card for the P3, will it be possible to have the external monitor and the P3's display showing different things. For example, could the external display show the panadaptor output whilst the P3 shows, for example, PSK31 or RTTY data? 73, Stephen G4SJP __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
