How do you know that? Did you get a message saying it was blocked? Was there a

Yes, I did get a bounce message back to say that my reply looked like
spam. Why a legitimate reply-to from a registered list member should
be considered spam I have no idea, but I've complained before about
the brain-dead QTH.NET system and got nowhere, so let's not go there.

Most spam filters just silently drop the email, so the first a vendor
knows about it is when an irate customer complains they didn't get
what they ordered.

Ah...I suppose the brain-dead anti-spam system at QTH.NET didn't identify
itself?

I recently added so anti-spam protection to my server, plus giving the users the
ability to add more spam protection...and it explains why someone gets their
mail blocked.

So far, I haven't gotten any emails asking me to unblock any IP or address.

Yep...that's why I have my system st to explain why the mail is bouncedthe
bad news is that with so much spam...the notification messages may go to unreal
addresses...and of course they get bounced.

The spam filtering is applied at our Elecraft list host, qth.net, and is
not under our control.

It is absolutely needed. Without it we have had literally hundreds of
spammers 'subscribe' to the list and attempt to post. We still see the
attempts here daily.

In general, if you get a bounce message, please forward it to me and
I'll ask qth.net about it.

Wowthey don't have a subscribe option that requires confirmation? That
eliminates a lot of spammersbut then again, some one has to read the
messages for the sign ups that fail.

The listserver at qth.net is Mailman, which does require confirmation.

Well, I guess I'm dumb as a post, or as lucky as a man with all day long pass
in a cat house, since it's hard to imagine how the spammers that visit me can't
subscribe to my lists since they can't confirm thier requests to join, since
they don't use real email addresses.

These folks that subscribe to the QTH.NET lists gotta be bold as brass to use
their own email addresses in order to get the confirmation messages.

This is so intriguing I may have to sign up on a list again and watch real close
to see how I can spam a list.
