read email in plain text
Hello everyone, Is there anyone for a folder to show emails in plain text mode just like junk mail folder and no touch the others? I can change the whole outlook to read plain text but that is not what I want to do. Only a single folder is in my concern. I have a folder that any email from lists are moved to there and getting all kind of crazy fonts is driving me nuts L Thanks ~ Ninja Email Security with Cloudmark Spam Engine Gets Image Spam ~ ~ http://www.sunbeltsoftware.com/Ninja~
upgrade to Ninja
Now that we moved from Trend to Sunbelt, I am happy to say we are very pleased with the product. That said, there are so many third party tools that state they can get rid of spam, virus' and other items. However, after having several solutions in place, I found that my TCO was increased by these products, I would search and speak with Tech Support to tweak the products and in turn start asking a lot of questions that seemed insignificant and bothersome to others. However, I will have to say, since the implementation of Ninja, I have seen a 46% of real-time blocked spam/virus' and 54% of pass through of legitimate email. Our staff will be happy this morning to not see those emails that state: increase your performance, stability, enlargement, sex sites and dates, etc... My sincere thanks to the individuals on the list that suggested we look at Sunbelts solution. Outlook suddenly extremely slow
Outlook 2007 on a Vista box (connecting to E2k3) is suddenly extremely slow and when I leave it open overnight I end up with a message that it could not configure the offline file. I have tried to disable offline folders, disable cached mode, I disabled anti-virus, I have even created a new profile but nothing seems to work. I can at best type a few words before Outlook becomes Not Responding. I don't think the problem is with the server as I can easily access email for the same user from a different computer (running a different version of Outlook but otherwise with a similar setup). Nothing else seems to be wrong with this computer and I cannot find any relevant entries anywhere in the log files. Any suggestions what I should look at? Thanks. I ran chkdsk already as well as the PC-Doctor utility from Lenovo/IBM (it is a Lenovo notebook) and neither found anything wrong with the disk. And at one point I have renamed the existing .ost file and left it on the disk to make sure the new file would end up at a different location on the disk. Cannot send from Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2003
We are transitioning from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2007. We have installed a CAS, HUB Transport and Mailbox server (with HUB Transport role also installed). When the first HUB server was installed, it automatically created the necessary routing group connectors to allow email flow between 2003 and 2007 and it worked fine. We recently deleted these connectors and recreated them as we have multiple routing groups which require new routing group connectors to efficiently route mail. Ever since creating the new connectors, we are only able to receive email from 2003 to 2007 but are unable to send from 2007 to 2003. The Queue Viewer indicates the following: 451 5.7.3 Cannot achieve Exchange Server authentication I have checked to make sure Integrated Windows Authentication is checked on the 2003 SMTP virtual servers and they are all checked. Also, all of the 2003 servers are correctly listed as members of the ExchangeLegacyInterop group. This is happening on every connector we created. Any ideas would be great. RE: Outlook suddenly extremely slow
I have approximately 2,700 items (around 125MB total) - less than anybody else within the company. And there has been no change in quite a while. At this point I have no idea what else to try. I don't recall installing any new software, I made no changes to the notebook and scans cannot find any virus and/or spyware problems. And everything else seems to work fine. At least it is my notebook and I don't have to deal with an upset user but it is quite frustrating. We recently deleted these connectors and recreated them as we have multiple routing groups which require new routing group connectors to efficiently route mail. Whenever I see this, it usually has something to do with DC connectivity. Run a %logonserver% at the command prompt to verify that your connecting to the appropriate DC. Also, run nltest /getsite and nltest /sc_query:yourdomain to verify that the machine in the correct site and connecting to the correct DC. User not receiving an e-mail
Let's try this again. Apparently the first time I tried to send this the subject looked like that of an OOO. I've got a user that is not getting a particular e-mail, which contains an attachment that she needs. We are running Exchange 2007. Here is our config: Barracuda300 CAS/HT Server | | MB Server I looked in the message logs on the Barracuda and I see that the message has made it there, with the attachment, and that it was not quarantined, denied, or marked as spam. I even told the Barracuda to deliver the message and it still never arrived to my user. I went onto my CAS/HT and opened up the message tracking and I don't see the message at all in there. I went to the same mail system as the person sending the e-mail and I was able to send an e-mail to myself with a Word attachment (which is the same format that the individual is trying to send.) The message I sent myself came through fine. The size of the attachment the person is trying to send is only about 1.5MB, so it's not a file size issue. The individual can send e-mail to my user just fine without the attachment. Also, my user has plenty of room in her mailbox. She has a 2GB size limit and is only using about 67MB. Can anyone suggest for me which logging I should be increasing so that I can troubleshoot this further? Also, along that line, is there an easy command in the Exchange Shell that will show me which logging areas can be turned on? Thanks for the help, and let me know if you have any questions or if I wasn't clear on anything! I don't think the problem is with the server as I can easily access email for the same user from a different computer (running a different version of Outlook but otherwise with a similar setup). Nothing else seems to be wrong with this computer and I cannot find any relevant entries anywhere in the log files. Any suggestions what I should look at? Thanks. Everything seems to be fine - all the registry entries are present as expected. The only thing left is to run the Network Monitor and that will take me some time as I don't know much about it. Exchange 2007 SP 1 and Blackberry Enterprise Server 4.2
I believe I've seen a posting or two from Admins that have gone ahead and upgraded to Exchange 2007 SP1 in spite of RIM's warning that they have not signed off on compatibility between BES and E2k7 SP1. We are considering upgrading to SP 1...but we'd like to get feedback from anyone else that might have already done it... Larry C. Re: Exchange 2007 SP 1 and Blackberry Enterprise Server 4.2
This is the official statement from RIM about Exchange 2007 SP1 and BlackBerry 4.1.4 interoperability: http://www.blackberry.com/knowledgecenterpublic/livelink.exe/fetch/2000/8067/645045/1264708/SDR_154989_BlackBerry_Enterprise_Server_for_Microsoft_Exchange_Version_4.1_SP4?nodeid=1396996vernum=0 - Key issue - The BlackBerry(R) Enterprise Server in a Microsoft(R) Exchange 2007 environment might experience issues when generating the RefId for a message. As a result, the BlackBerry Enterprise Server might not be able to identify all messages as unique - Impact - If messages with duplicate RefIds exist in a user's mailbox, the BlackBerry Enterprise Server cannot process them appropriately or synchronize properly. The BlackBerry Enterprise Server might not deliver all messages to a device when it returns into a coverage area. - Probability of occurrence - The probability of occurrence is high. - Monitoring the issue - Monitor the BlackBerry Messaging Agent log file for duplicate RefIds. - Recommendations - Upgrade to BlackBerry Enterprise Server Version 4.1 SP5 once it is available. - Resolution - This issue will be resolved in BlackBerry Enterprise Server Version 4.1 SP5. RE: Outlook suddenly extremely slow
Looks like I finally tracked it down to a Sunbelt Exchange Archiver (SEA) add-in. The archiving server suddenly does not seem to communicate (no idea why and I will have to look at it when I get back to the office in the morning) and that's what brought OL to its knees. And since I am still playing with the SEA software before I roll it out I was the only one affected - nobody else has it installed yet. Thanks for trying to help. Thanks. Exchange 2007 and Rich OWA
We have a relatively new install of Exchange 2007 SP1 and have been playing around with it a bit until late last week when we had a problem with the box housing Exchange 2003. We had a few mailboxes already on 2007, and moved the rest of them over. Everything seemed to be working well until someone tried to use the rick client of OWA. It does not work. The Inbox will come up, but if you try to go to the next page of e-mail, you get a 404 error. I did not have a chance to check this, but it was reported that a message could not be deleted. Also both the rich and basic versions give me a 404 when logging out. I have not been able to determine anything from the event logs, and found some other instances of similar problems when Googling with a changing variety of terms, but I have not found anything that would lead me to a resolution of the problem. Prior to hearing about this, I found I had to install the 64 bit version of .NET 2.0, and I had a world of hurt until I removed .NRT 1.1, 2.5, and 3.0 and ran the cleanup tool available from a blog by one of you gurus here. Right now I have only the 64 bit version of 2.0 running, which appears to be necessary for OWA. I have yet to take a look at the web logs to see if I can get a hint from them, but I am not sure I would be able to determine anything that will help me there. I'm pretty well booked this week (got home after 9 PM tonight), so I am not sure when I will be able to put any real work into this for the next few days (we can live with the basic OWA). Does anyone have anything I should take a look at to resolve this issue? \\Steve// ~ Ninja Email Security with Cloudmark Spam Engine Gets Image Spam ~ ~ http://www.sunbeltsoftware.com/Ninja~
