[FairfieldLife] Real Estate in FF Poll

2005-07-27 Thread pibssmith
What does anyone out there think about real estate prices in FF and
what will happen to them? It seems that not much land is being sold
right now maybe the contractors online can address this so that
means only those with land already bought and planning to build this
year will give any work to the contractors. The architects I assume
most who follow MMY are at a crossroads of whether they wait and
follow his new direction for Peace Palace Colonies or build
exisiting home plans that were once approved to new home builders or
if they are on hold.
There are 12 or more MSV houses just sitting on the market at
unrealistic prices. The smartest seller in town took a loss and
moved on the rest are keeping their prices where they need them to
be to recoup their exspense but no one will pay or can pay those
prices and in the meantime they have taxes to pay and maintenance.

Then there is the nationwide bubble they claim will break in the
next few years if you read any of the real estate articles in
various cities by various percentages. In it it states the things
that drive a market to appreicate are jobs, population all the
things we dont have and have never have.

I wonder how long these various home owners will hold out and when
some of them will get real and sell out for anything to cut their
loses and move on. Most who are selling are moving away or are
financially in trouble or are not empty nesters and did not stop to
think 8 years ago who would want their large house fast forward
8years when everyone else was in the same spot plus aging and going
to smaller and one story. I could go on and on just wanting to know
if anyone thinks about this and what their feelings are.

I feel a very big slow down right now.

there are always those hopeful for pundits and hopeful for
appreciation but those of us on this site know these things will not
occur. Are we the only ones? What are these homeowners thinking and
what were they thinking when they paid $40 for a one acres or less
lot and built these houses?

[FairfieldLife] Re: Real Estate in FF Poll

2005-07-28 Thread pibssmith
MGC is closing Aug 1. Apparently MMY called Doug Greenfield in
Florida where he is doing some investing. Now when MMY calls anyone
Doug or Chris Johnson who runs Mandala 6 I am not sure what this
means. I am sure he does not pick up the phone probably someone sets
the call up and maybe he gets on. Who knows but that is another
whole discussion. Also Doug Greenfield investing out of state and
town as his office buildings are pretty empty here another whole
discussion.

So MCG is closing they say because MMY felt it was a waste to be
spending time building these individual homes here and around the
country but mostly here and more focus needed to be put on building
Peace Palaces with matching Peace Colony Homes built in mass right
away yes shipped from somewhere overseas and pre fab.

No one I know even would want one and the people I know in the
process of building MSV either had already approved plans from MGC
and are going ahead or dont give a flying hoot and when they build
in the future on their land they will build whatever they want.

I dont know if that starts happening if some entity with take MGC
constructions place. They made about $15,000 in fees on each house
not a whole lot to them with building slowing down and to the home
owner alot. My negative guess is the movement did not like the small
amount of money coming out of this plus the positive MMY really does
want these Peace Colonies all over the world and is naive enought to
think one prefab house will be suitable for all or any. I have no
feelings what so ever that this is just another failed project and
have heard nothing positive from the field about Peace Palaces or
anyone getting paid etc. If any do work it will take years and my
best guess is it will be a bunch of old TM Centers resurecting that
after a few years due to lack of funds will close again. It is very
sad really because we all came up thru those old days and they were
great. But I think those days are over and I really give MMY kudos
for trying but too little too late his army is now too small and not
trusting.

So there will be a big shift and transition here in FF hosuing whise
building wise and the architext and builders who have here to for
felt an alligance and ethical responsibity to only build what was
certified will now have to chose do they eat or not eat and
hopefully for the better where one can build what they want with no
fees to the movement and the house will still be considered a viable
house for resale. The reality is even a MSV certified house has
little chance of resale at the price you pay to build it and if you
get away with a small lose you are doing well. Any house here over
$100,000 is risky and only a few people a year buy a house for a
hundred thousand according to one local realtor. There is no
appreciation here no investment like all our friends who live
elsewhere whose house prices triple in 10-15 years or have over the
past.

So with all of that said it is just a new nice place to live that
may if you chose have some SV principals and feel great for you for
the next 20 years of your life. Still alot to have a nice new shiny
clean house but you need to have the financial reserves and be smart
about it and not pay $40,000 for a lot that is one acres etc Many
here think that when Chris Johnson gives them a small lot for
$26,000 that is a deal when you can buy outside of Vedic City for a
few thousand an acres. I guess if you want Vedic City you pay the
price or have the last 5 year. If demand slows down and he wants to
eat guess he will have to lower his prices too. It is all in the
eating factor :-)

My guess is that is is buttoming out finally and there are steal of
deals coming up so if you are in the market for a new SV house wait
and watch. There have to be 15 or so MSV homes on the market and a
few that realtors and accountants in town know are coming up and
cant say and a few big not on the listings but hey if you want Earl
Kaplans house sure you can buy it. Dimicks left behind one that are
trying to dump for 1.9 million no one has that kind of money. I hear
they may surface in a few years but dont want their house with kids
being grown at that point but they are paying the taxes and
maintenance they might as well live in it . As far as I see no one
wants it and Chromens got off easy when some CA man who is not a Ru
found theirs to be a great hidea way and bought it for under a
million. I hear he comes with his kids but his wife hates it and
does not come here. They took a huge lose but cut their loses and
went. David and CAthy Chaladoff took less of a lose a few hundred
thousand but they did and were smart and sold their home to the
Jorgensens who got a good deal and they moved Chaladoffs to a 2
million dollar home in Carmel. He could have waited for a better
buyer but he was smart and let it go for less.

But currently the others sellers are delusional and think they can

[FairfieldLife] Holland Rumore

2005-07-28 Thread pibssmith
Latest rumor right off the airplanes from Holland is that MMY wants
2000 persons living in Vedic City immediately and told Raja Wynne to
errect some prefab houses immeditely not waiting for them to be
claimed just build and they shall come attitude. Also he wants 500
to fly in the dome for an hour then 500 more an hour after that.

Those figures are about are whole Ru and non townie Population. And
I dont see many conforming wonder if we will get shut down like
England. How many times have these crazy plans been executed?

2005-07-28 Thread pibssmith
All of the reasons you stated our ture. Probably most financial and
nojobs a long time coming. aFter not working a few years or trying
to start some biz they have finally gotten realistic they have to
move . Most are moving or at least need the cash out of their house
but still are not realistic and obviously not yet that desperate or
they would list for less. One couple just listed their refurbished
house for a decent price not SV but East and North entrance ran
their own 1/4 age in the local Ru paper and sold it price $169 what
they acutally sold it for dont know yet but I am sure less.

That price range still works if the place is nice. But most of the
SV houses are over $300 and $400 and according to the top realtor in
town here only a few of those sell per year sometimes one per year
depending on the year.

[FairfieldLife] Re: Real Estate in FF Poll

2005-07-28 Thread pibssmith
A male friend dome goer tells me there is a sign in the mens dome
that says the pundits are coming any day now . and the sign has
been up there for months

As for FF growth no pundits broken dreams and promises. The town
itself would be dead long gone with the meditating population or non
town population we add so much to the town in so many ways. And yes
some are still moving here but by the dwindling enrollment at the
MSAE MMY school for kids grade 1-12 you can see the over population
shrinking and eventually both MSAE and MUM will be shut down by
accredidation board for low enrollment. When that day will come
anyones guess they keep saying but never happens. then there is a
whole group that now empty nesters cant get rid of their big houses
and would like to. Then some empty nesters who have kids and
grandkids that will always visit they can afford it and like their
space. There is not one answer to your questions but to say there is
a bit of everything like in any town. The one thing here is we could
be Maine or New Hampshire any small town American that is depressed.
We are small there are not as many jobs as there use to be and
people are aging. There are quite a few Ru types already on social
scurity and doing day work part time for cash to make up the rest
that they dont claim rides to the airport or painting etc
Probably the best place to be for retirement if you have limited
funds and the safest place on earth. I think most like it here after
all many have been here 20 years plus all their friends are here it
is small and safe what is not to like but when it comes to REAL
ESTATE or any financial decisions or other things that guide your
life decisions you must live your own life and not let the movement
guide your decisions whether it is building a home or going on a
course you cant afford. I think that group of people that are now
mature have been burned and now think for themselves has grown into
a large mass thus all these movement antics dont get supported at
all nor will the latest ones from Holland sadly maybe but
realistically we cant do them. We are aging , saving for retirment
etc the movement is not going to take care of any of those lifers
and true believers. but I guess they are so driven to be faithful
devotees on some other level than the relative and dont care about
retirment life insurance how they will leave i 5 years no less next
year. That group that follow MMY is very small now.

So all the same life factors that affect any small town and real
estate affect us but the Ru thing makes it all worse and you have to
be smart and an independent thinker to survive here or you will get
eaten up and live a poor life.If that suits you and you dont need
much that is fine but seems as you age you need more care more
comforts. Sorry for the tangent

I agree. I think MMY has gone off his rocker and I think he will get
so mad that this stuff does not occur and no one will even pay
attention that he may shut us down. If he can shut down England he
can shut down the USA. It wont change a thing in FF and might be a

He may think he is but I dont think he has many followers left at
all as you will see when none of his directives come to fruition.
They are all outlandish and not at all possible or probable or
anything doable. It for those who want to just blindly follow a
master to "break their boundaries" or "get enlightened" in the
meantime they will still get old and sick like the rest of us in the
relative and have nothing to live on and MMY will be gone and Tony
will be giving out the orders with even less of a following.

[FairfieldLife] Re: Clown Suits and outlandish schemes.

2005-08-02 Thread pibssmith
I think that MMY knows these outlandish schemes wont get achieved
time after time year after year , but in effect it is some technique
for his true believer type die hard followers. I am not one and get
angry when these relative goals dont occur and dont really want to
be a part to this cult anymore that follows a master no matter what
he says whether it happens on the relative plane or not but I have
to belive he knows what he is doing and it gets his followers to
know his wishes and to strive for them as goals. If not then he
would be so angry at everything we had not done or achieved by now
he would have shut us down a long time ago way before England.
Hopefully someone tells him we dont even have 500 in the domes
period no less to fly and 2,000 to live in Vedic City is our Ru
population or not even with everyone doing other techniques etc and
we are not leaving our mortgage homes for some prefab structure. It
will be great for renters. So I think he gives the weak followers
who cant think for themselves these projects so that they have some
path and for the rest of us who can think for ourselves we dont need
that master thing.

[FairfieldLife] Re: Clown Suits and outlandish schemes.

2005-08-03 Thread pibssmith
yes I do agree and it is not for me

I love living in Fairfield because we have been here so long and
have so many friends here and it is small town living at its finest
very easy. You give up amenties but they are close by if you need
them. Not like some cities but enough to get by it is very sweet
but the whole TMO thing makes me feel so jailed in this town. I try
to just stay away from it . I am sure in some big city I would feel
jailed by traffic or something else. I do feel very safe here which
goes a long way these days , but yes I think it has always been this
way the weak are around MMY. They may be brillant but they cant
think for themselves at all and are happy to blindly follow a
master. Does he take advantage of that probably why would he want to
waste his energy going up against all the non believers.

How did you get this house in France?

I have friends that go each summer and find it hard to get a house
that is suitable due to age and mold etc and end up staying more
country hotels that come very recommended. They also need to be
where the kids can go to day camp in French. Looks lovely.

[FairfieldLife] Have you gotten paid?

2005-08-07 Thread pibssmith
Has anyone heard this rumor that prefab buildings for the Peace
Palaces on on boats as we speak to the US for various site around the
country? How true is this anyway to verify it? From where I dont know.
I guess time will tell. Do boats take longer than pundits?

Also does anyone know of anyone out there who is getting paid and who
is initiating? Or who has hired the 10 empoloyees to do whatever? Or
are people once again looking for land sites as I have been hearing
that one brings me back a ways in time. I heard one story of some rich
person in Sacremento area or wont say for sure some S city in CA and
was willing to pay teachers so 100 went out to West coast. Any truth
to this? Someone I had lunch with said her friend from FF went and
said in an email that she had a big decision to make soon so she
guessed that maybe they were not getting paid but was not sure as the
gal did not say.

I cant say I know anyone first hand doing the Peace Palace teaching
thing that I can ask "Have you gotten paid?"

If true sounds like what Beckley did as money got tight he did not
honor return orders but who knows what is true. Still not good in a
small town with a shrinking economy. The owner or one of the owners
Cliff Roses house has also been for sale for a few months now.

Fairfield Company Target Of Lawsuit

A Fairfield company is in the crosshairs of Iowa Attorney General
Tom Miller.

Mr. Miller has filed a consumer fraud lawsuit in Polk County
District Court against Vision Improvement Technologies. The lawsuit
says the company marketed a kit called the "See Clearly Method." It
contains manuals, charts and video and audiotapes that demonstrate
eye exercises and other techniques and claim they will naturally
improve vision. Miller says the company sells the kits nationally
with a 30-day trial basis and calls them risk free, but his office
has received several complaints that the guarantee is not being
honored. Thousands of kits were sold at $350 each.

The following is a statement received by KMCD from the Attorney
General's Office:

Attorney General Tom Miller filed a consumer fraud lawsuit Wednesday
against Vision Improvement Technologies, Inc., a Fairfield, Iowa,
company that sells a so-called natural vision improvement kit called
the "See Clearly Method."

"We allege that the company made dramatic claims for its product
that it could not substantiate," Miller said, "including
representations that consumers who used the method could quickly and
easily free themselves of having to wear glasses or contact lenses."

The lawsuit described the "See Clearly Method" as a kit of manuals,
charts, videotapes and audiotapes demonstrating eye exercises and
other techniques. The company allegedly sold tens of thousands of
the kits for about $350 apiece.

"We allege that Vision Improvement Technologies uses a combination
of misleading and unfair marketing tactics to sell their kits,"
Miller said. "The alleged illegal tactics include exaggerated claims
of effectiveness, false implications of scientific validity, and
misleading consumer testimonials in advertising."

The lawsuit also alleges that a so-called "risk-free" 30-day trial
period is deceptively presented and ends up obligating many
consumers to pay hundreds of dollars apiece for a product that did
not help them.

"Our suit asks the court to halt the unfair and deceptive practices,
assess civil penalties, and provide appropriate reimbursement for
consumers," Miller said.

The suit was filed Wednesday morning in Polk County District Court
in Des Moines.

[FairfieldLife] house in Fairfield?

2005-08-29 Thread pibssmith
Does anyone know wholives in this Fairfield house know much about
this house listed besides that it cost alot and owners have lowered
price once since trying to sell it all last year and now listed with
realtor. Why has it not sold. Realtor says it faces East and has
water to east unless water is too close for SV types just curious if
anyone knows these people why they are selling and has been in the
house. It looks wonderful although may not be practical for my needs
being the shape it is but curious before I waste any time going to
see it. The octagon one on Mahogany

http://www.heartlandfairfield.com/200,000+page4.htm

Also if you look at last listing of $200K plus last listing is the
house blue barn style on B St it is the Hurlins house. Wonder where
they are going? I suppose they many want vastu since Vlodrop man
rich do but it is very slow in town and they know they cant build
unless they sell it would dumb and no houses are selling or very
few. House for that price sell a few a year at best. You can build
what you want for that or less . I suppose some move here and dont
want to build or care about new SV but still hard to sell as we can
see all these houses listed just sitting there.

OH also heard today from a gal doing Peace Palace work that 9 houses
are on order and will be set up prefab on some dirt rd right before
Rukmupura somewhere near there. I hope this is not like Pundits
always on order but we never see them suppose to be marble now how
can prefab be marble? Does not make sense.

the person said they have temporarily been derailed as MMY big
project right now is getting these builders around the world to do
his program. NOw what builder is going give up 2/3 of his take?? So
silly.
Also heard Iowa City part time Peace Palaceteers have signed a lease
on space on Old Capitol Mall before MMY said not to but it wont be
ready for a while and since they dont teach alot blaming it on low
population there they are doing other jobs as well so they get paid
but way less, but they did teach one person.

I seem to hear these excuses and drips and draps of a person here or
there being taught all over the country. You would think MMY would
really give it a booast and lower the prices again. Makes you wonder
if they ever do these things how they will sustain them and we know
the answer already sadly.

Anyone know anything about that round house?

I recall when the Weggies paid for the Palm BeacH Ayervedic Clinic
for a few years in a rich community plus they were rich but still it
never became self sufficient so if it could not I dont think these
PP with all the trimmings of clinic and teaching TM etc will either
sadly.

[FairfieldLife] REM or high energy bars

2005-09-08 Thread pibssmith
Does anyone have any good recommendation for any vegetarian and or
vegan READY TO EAT MEALS or high energy high calorie bars that have
long shelf life? I think bars would be easiest to store and be most
mobile as would smaller bottles of water. I did an online search and
found all kinds of kits and also water pouches that were cool etc and
I do store water and some canned things and can opener in my basement
and I do not live in an area that would be evacauated due to flood and
I dont have more a few days worth of bare mimimum. I liked the water
pouches online as they said they dont break under any pressure or leak
but most likely the little I have is enough.

However when thinking of REM seems bars would be best. I am sure the
ones at the heatlh food store have expirations and are any high
calorie high energy like 3600 calories? That is what I saw online.

Any idea probably good to have some emergency info things around.

[FairfieldLife] Earl Kaplan Weds and the Hog farm news

2005-09-18 Thread pibssmith
I heard Earl Kaplan got married today at his Fairfield mansion to
long time girlfriend Kathleen . They share a small child together
Sunny something and she had a child before she met him. I think they
live in Cedar Falls or Waterloo, Iowa as she cant take her other child
out of state often. I suppose Earl jets off in his private plane for
business in CO or to his BAchelor Mansion in Malibu yes he does own
one of the ABC Bachelors mansions but his home with Kathleen and her
child and his with her is Cedar Falls area where her ex husband is and
family.
All was a shock to me not that I cared just gossip who really cares
about him except for that movie star rich folks gossip factor and
entertainment. I wonder why he goes to FAirfield or keeps his
Fairfield house and if he does why he does not just give it all up and
live there but guess he feels it would be too uncomfortable or
controversial and guess he cant sell easily those of you there would
know more than me. I imagine her child is now school age and if she
cant take the child out of state except for a vacation she might as
well live near her parents and the ex for the childs sake.
I know you were all dying to know this gossip since most are men. I
dont know any more than that except a few close friends from FF were
invited. I am not one or there, just the messenger.

I also hear from my friends there about some Hog Confinement thing
that the town may lose??? I dont understand the ins and outs legally
and wait to hear more from friends there after this weeks meeting. Can
Fairfield really lose this and is it really a health threat?

[FairfieldLife] That House for Sale

2005-09-26 Thread pibssmith
That house on Heartland Real Estate site out of Glasow on 252 St is
owned or was bought by Lancaster Family Trust. Anyone know who that
is or why they are selling or where they are going? From Heartland
Site it does not look like more but from the assessors site it is
huge from the back view. I never knew it existed . NOt that I want
it at all just curious.

Also the Hurlins house is up for sale. They bought some tiny house
in Eco village that they are adding on to. I guess these rich folks
have enough money to downsize and let their mansions just sit there.
Like Marcus. Rick any idea what they paid for Grants log house or
must I want until the assessor posts it.

That house needed many upgrades inside that I am sure they will do.
I just cant imagine they liked it but one story and less maintenance
then their big house on B St that might face East but may not be
totally SV. What these people will do to follow the master and
belive what he says. Guess if you have the money and want to stay in
FF. I have to tell you I saw the Grants and I would not want to
drive thru Utopia Park every day to get there. Even if it is torn
down as rumored still houses are so close together. Well guess it
was appealing to them to have a smaller one story house here.

Frankly I think the smaller and one story is a big selling point as
we are all aging and will have houses elsewhere and if not want
smaller less to maintain kids are gone. However the builders cant
build them. If they could figure out how to do it and not have them
cost an arm and a leg they would acutally make some money. The ones
I have spoken too said they cant do it as they need 2 acres to build
2,000 ft SV with fence and all especially if attached garage. I
guess if you give that up maybe they can do for less but in this
weather who would build without that if you were already spending
such big bucks but many did.

oh well could rant for hours must get back to work
If anyone know whose house that is off Glascow and what the
circumstances are I would be interested

[FairfieldLife] Re cert techers returning and Investing in FF a joke, CAFO

2005-10-08 Thread pibssmith
A local FF friend told me that many recert teachers are returning as
they did not meet their quotas of teaching 2 people per month and
the movement thus has not paid them. I dont know how many this is
but I would say as a whole yet another failed project we will not
even hear about. It will just fade away like the pundits. And if the
peace palaces that are suppose to arrive to FF come as fast as the
pundits yet another failed project. It is a wonder anyone would
follow the TMO at this point I just don't get it.

On another front they MUM someone are building 4 small SV houses in
the parking lot in Utopia Park this and the plan to build more is in
this weeks MUM review at all news stands in FF at all the shops. YOu
can see the dirt being cleared. OK sounds good get rid of trailers
build some small SV houses for anyone who wants to rent or own them
and at $110 a ft so we know they wont be grand but Ok still OK. Then
we get a letter today from Scott Herried heading this project up
for MUM looking for investors to form an LLC to fund this little
venture saying that is a demand for SV rental which may be true, is
true. However if you are a wise person you are not investing anymore
in FF nor buying at the moment nothing appreciates here nothing has
even been a good investment except for a short period when there was
a building boom but ask Doug Greenfield who is sitting on empty
office space and now investing in Fl himself. To add to the already
volitil market here we now have to content with CAFO www.Jfan.org
for those who want more info on the hogs. It is a joke invest? I
will be happy if I can sell my house some day.

Back at the ranch I know of a couple that just bought that house on
B St whose back yard faces the Grants near Earls for close to $399
as the price of building the size they wanted went up to $600K and
some others are still planning to build as they are under the
illusion they will sell their mansions. Some are waiting to sell
first like Huggins and other like Hurlin's are already building an
addition on to some Abundant Ecco village house when their old house
has not sold and probably wont for the price they want or maybe at
any price. Nichols think they can sell their cute house but dont
kow where they will go but want vastu and other various people that
cant really afford to are building $500 houses just to have vastu as
MMY says too. I guess it is all relative if you have the money but
this town is the riskiest investment on the planet and MUM wants to
raise a private group of investors to build these SV houses on
campus telling us it is a great investment. Well guess they will
find some suckers out there. Oh and the Marcus are now trying to
dump their house at any price as they bought the Grants. It may
serve their needs the Grants who am I to judge but their exisitin
house is so much nicer just not SV but it is big kids are gone and
it is 2 stories they probably dont want it and they are pretty
fanatical SV fans and Grants log house is one story but needed alot
of upgrades and pardon me Rick as your sister lives on that street
is it a dump of a neighborhood but they do it for SV go figure? what
a town. Even Patti Hamilton local realtor says it is amazing what
people are giving up to have smaller not as well build SV. I am
thinking if the hog thing goes thru the in town houses may be come
slightly more desirable again SV or not than the country SV houses.
This town it all depends on which way the winds blows. Pun intended.
There is a CAFO going up on Pleasant Plain right across the street
from Cambridge's new offices. You cant really tell but the trucks
were there this week putting in the electrical for the barbed wire.
I guess those involved know the signs and locations. Eric adn his
wife and Cambridge are filing their own law suit and the home owners
in that area are additionally filing one. I hope it stops it. The
more we can sue and discourage this and other corporations the
closer will be to getting this out of our town as a factor and will
be known to others as a town they should stay away from us as we
are a rich proactive town and will keep them busy in court. the
wealthy home owners who live in the country are really in trouble
and should be footing this bill as best they can since they have the
money and are most affected not that we all don't want to help but
we cant afford what they can and we don't stand to lose as much on
property value although alot to us and equal to all in quality of
life and health risks. It really is a big problem. It is hard to
belive that many are so oblivious and are buying new expensive SV
homes with this threat. I would be waiting. So many big mansions SV
in the country will now be involved in law suits amazing.

Wonder what happened with Marcus and Grant house? Did she say.
Marcus house still has a for sale sign on it. Guess they want out
and SV. Curious why it fell out. Maybe inspection logs? There were
several cracked ones but I though this to be normal. had to be
something like that. Can you find out?

[FairfieldLife] Re: Bevan's girls! Read this!

2005-10-10 Thread pibssmith
not that anyone does care but first hand I can tell you when I moved
to FF in 1978,79 or 85 cant recall which time I was in then Kramers
card shop and ran into Linda Dimick. We had done a course together
in 76. I was not too friendly just said hello as we were really not
close friends or anything but she was overly friendly that day.

She has been a "bad" girl on our 6 month course sneaking out alot at
night with another gal to bar hop. She was dismissed from that
course and got back in the good graces of the movement by marrying
Dennis Ramondi.( not her reason for marriage but I guess it helped
in the end at that time) Anyway that is another whole story but I
think she was being defensive when she saw me in town and right away
offered up that info perhaps she felt I had heard she and Bevan were
together well she said " maybe you have heard about me and Bevan ,
it is true. He calls me and Annie ( then a small child) every night
from around the world. "
I never knew the meaning of this . Perhaps they were very close but
not romantic or sexual she just said they were linked for sure. I
never asked her about it again and recall at the time being shocked.
You have to remember the times this was almost 25 years ago or so.
So there you go on that story so credible truth . What the nature of
their relationship I dont know and never did find out. She must have
been then separated or divorced from Dennis and not yet married to
Michael and I dont have the time line on that one. Our course where
she was the bad girl was 76 or so and I moved back to FF on a few
occasions and cant recall when that was , someone else might know
her more personally and know the time line of that. But she did at
some point between marriages have some level of a relationship with
Bevan and as only she can do she boasted about it or defended
herself ,not sure which, that day in Kramers book store. Even
thought in the years that followed we were friendly around town I
never asked her about what she said that day, as it seemed in the
past and like you say ,who cares. I recall at the time being rather
shocked at what she said and that she would bother to say it to me
we were not close.

[FairfieldLife] Hogs

2005-10-23 Thread pibssmith
O fcourse MMY is going to now say large dome groups dont matter and
smaller ones are OK he cant get large groups.
wonder what his comments would be why the pundit trailers sit empty
in Fairfield and why the peace palaces are just old TM centers with
no acitivity. I tell you FF is a small town which the movement and
TM ers made a thriving city but now the TMO is weak to nil and the
start up dot com era over and the TMers dwindling in numbers due to
many reasons and the popluation declining due to small town economy
no longer booming and lack of jobs. It is cyclical here if you ask a
town lady at the bank and TM ers brought a boom in the 80's but that
wont happen again due our ages and the lack of TM ers and othe
spiritual people wanting to be here like they use to. NOw on top of
that we have SV housing ruining the housing market you cant even
sell a house facing South at all and there are two on my street for
sale one facing east one west they are old and not SV so not selling
at all due to SV and economy of a small town now add in the CAFo and
evolving hog story the town is done. I think most building has come
to a hault or very little is happening now if you ask any of the
contractors. Painters plumbers electricians always busy on the old
but anyone doing new construction biz is down for sure. With
buildling materials going up forget it. www.jfan.org will tell you
more a bout hog situation . The benefit the other night was sooo
depressing. They intended for it to uplift and give people hope but
I found living in this hog state and the prospect of all our friends
of 20 years scattering all over the US painful. If you listen to the
chatter at lunch around town people including myself and spouse now
have exit plans of what if this does occur. Very sad. Forget dome
numbers we have larger fish to fry and getting dome numbers up aint
going to do a thing inspite of what the true believers think.

[FairfieldLife] TM in Malls

2005-05-04 Thread pibssmith
Has there been discussion about this already that the thrust of the
rectification course is that the TMO will open in malls across America
and target older teens who spend money on electronics and are troubled
and "need TM" and they will do everything from sell products to giving
Abyanga in the mall? I cant wait to see the first one. Does the TMO
have an idea what rent is in any mall? This will have to been seen to
be believed for sure. I think MMY has really lost it and is getting
old. I hear there is also some new millionaire involved who is footing
part of the bill. It is really sad as it is just another failed
project where the TMO will lose yet another layer of followers. How
many are left that really cared enough about teaching to go to the
course besides the 100 MUM faculty and staff that was strongly urged
to go something like 200 pretty poor turn out but the TMO acts like
this is a success. I live in Fairfield and I dont hear a peep about
any of this on the street. No one seems to care. I hear more from my
out of town friends who are already disgusted.

[FairfieldLife] Heavenly Mt

2005-05-08 Thread pibssmith
Heard news today about some settlement at Heavenly Mt. One story was
that MD and P have to leave another was that they can stay and that
the property that the homeowners and they live on was not sold but all
the property around them was and they can stay. Not sure which is
correct or how a settlement figures it. Seems if they settled that
would mean they could stay butwho knows ,Anyone know? If this has
already been discussed can you direct me to the messages
Thanks

[FairfieldLife] Teacher in England

2005-05-08 Thread pibssmith
WEll I am surprised MMY has not told the American to teach out of
their country after all he once said Bush had holes in his head. That
could be next. The whole thing is so nuts and will be just another
failed crazy TMo stunt that is the sad thing. The course I am sure was
blissful to those who went even though most who went went into debt
but they most of them love it but the plan of execution of what they
are suppose to do to revive the TMO is sooo off the wall makes you
think MMY is senile for sure. Entertainment at its finest.

Thank you sort of makes sense and confirms what I have heard but I
guess unless you ask the Kaplans directly there is no way to know.
But in time if we see the homeowners move out and P and MD we will
find out more from them. I have also asked a friend who lives in
Boone but have not heard back yet.

[FairfieldLife] Re: Heavenly Mt

2005-05-09 Thread pibssmith
I heard two stories one that everyone had to move out and another
that they property around them the homeowners and P and MD was being
sold but they were allowed to stay so who really knows. Guess in
time we will find out. So far there isnothing in the local newspaper
there so whatever it is it is unofficial. AT lunch today someone
told me they heard the homeowners were going to "take the high road"
and leave who knows. Entertainment. Always wondered if and why the
Kaplans had not sued MMY or the TMo directly for their money lose.
Maybe it has take all this time in court and now they will settle by
not sueing if the homeowners and MD and P will vacate. That does
seem to make sense as it is a way for them to stick it to the
movement for taking their money and avoiding a long drawn out costly
court battle. I am sure they just want to move on too and get away
from all of this.

The Kaplans spin so many stories about themselves to entertain us it
is hard to know the truth. I heard Earl is living in Malibu in the
mansion that was featured on the Bachelor TV show. Have no idea if
there is any truth to it. Apparently he has started his new Co in
Boulder but he lives in CA and last I heard of David and Linda was
that they live separately in Malibu but have no idea if any of this
is true the rumor spin zone for sure and could be created by them
just to get our goats. I guess when we hear from our MD and P
friends and HM friends we will know the real story.

[FairfieldLife] Re: Heavenly Mt

2005-05-09 Thread pibssmith
So I dont get it as I heard that too. So if they sold much of the
area and got some money then why are they forcing the homeowners and
MD and P out. YOu see that is the second story I was told they sold
it got money and would let them stay. I guess just selling the
surrounding area was an issue to the homeowners. So still confused
as to what really occurred and was the "settlement " was and the

Give me a break. Have any of MMY predictions ever come true before
name one! He is jus senile. What an outrageous thing to do almost as
bad as trying to sell TM in the malls across America. What gets me
is that people dont stand up to him and advise him becuase they know
if they do they will be ousted out as the many before them.

Anyone know what the Abrams are up to lately have not seen or heard
from or of them. I know the Harris Kaplans Harris and Arlene are in
Vlopdrop but dont know about Abrams. They are remotely related.Rhona
is Lori Slusher sister and Lori is married to Arlenes sister Renee

[FairfieldLife] Heavenly Mt

2005-05-10 Thread pibssmith
This came from a friend in Boone. I did not know this but maybe some
of you already did

HI
It's common knowledge , about the sale of thousands of acres on the
Mountain and a big developer, the same that did Seaside Florida and
many others, is in there - roads already built, first round of homes
under planning. The developers (Ginn?) have a big construction office
next to Cleveland House and its a big big production. Homes, golf ,
maybe hotel of some kind. But I know nothing about M. divine and P.
Have not heard any of my friends up there talk about moving/selling.
I'm having lunchwith xxx who is in town today, so I'll see if I
can find out anything and let you know.

I just heard this confirmed and also that some home owners are going
but at this point most are staying for now to talk to developers etc
Do we assume that the homeowners also got money as well and can go if
they want and that P and MD got money but have to go? Any more details?

[FairfieldLife] WAsn't it our prediction they would end up in the Pundits houses

2005-05-10 Thread pibssmith
The latest chatter ( I feel like it is the CIA on the terrorist
chatter line ha! just a joke) is that MD will live in pundit housing
fondly called pundit village here and Purusha go to Livingston Manor
which I hear was a wreck and they have been trying to fix it up for
some time dont know if has been a success or not however a Purusha
mans letter is cicrculating saying they have no idea and been told
they could go anywhere in the world except England so maybe the men
will be sent to India who knows. Ofcourse then you have all the
visa problems and coming back for renewals now and then not so
easy. Livingston Manor that would be a big Deja Vu for them all and
a moldy one at that yuck just the thought of it. The ladies well the
pundit trailers are new but winter is harsh in Iowa and they would
have to finish the kitchens or build them a main dining room and
work space etc. guess there are so many trailers it can all be done
in two months. Guess time will tell all. Cant picture either here
but wasn't that our very prediction on this FF Life site that one of
those groups would end up in the pundits houses Guess we will
soon see. I guess if they got settlement money from the Kaplans they
maybe can go anywhere or repair or build anything etc wonder what
they got to leave H Mt?

I also heard a few home owners are out of there right away and
trying to sell, the others are talking to the developers there and
seeing what is what first but eventually they will all go since it
will not be a TMO place anymore. Seems to me they ought to be able
to make something on their homes either selling or thru the
developers. Maybe take a loss if they are eager to get out now but
should get something. You would think the developers might like
homes already there but buyers want a deal if they go in before the
amenities at a resort like pre construction deals.

[FairfieldLife] Re: WAsn't it our prediction they would end up in the Pundits houses

2005-05-10 Thread pibssmith
I agree . I think someone will buy their house if not now then as
soon as the developers put in amenities and sometimes developers buy
them but if they do they want a deal to resell. Funny there is not
more of an exodus but guess it takes time to get it all together for
a move and to where and to sell your house etc and to really see MD
and P go etc

I would think that within a year or so the homeowner will all leave
or at least some will come here or go elsewhere.

There are some who built in other communites like Brightwood nearby
not as rich harder to move unless they can sell and maybe dont have
any inclination as their area is not being disturbed . Even in H Mt
if there little area is quiet and not being disturbed why go but I
heard the big area near the Cleveland house is where the developers
are camped out so it does not sound too serene. I must have missed
the part where these developers came in and paid $57 million and
started working on the surrounding area. I have been off line and
out of town alot. Did everyone else know this part?

I would not think pundit village suitable either for MD but choices
maybe limited guess it depends what kind of settlements they got and
maybe they would rather use it to sustain themselves for the rest of
their lives then live in a palace. It would be cool to find out how
much wonder if we will ever know.

[FairfieldLife] Re: England down the drain?

2005-05-12 Thread pibssmith
If there are teachers in the USA that are still teaching that were
not on the rectification course(I know of some) why cant British
Teachers hang their shingle and do their own thing. Who is going to
stop them? I dont expect families there were homes and kids in
school to up and leave and the MSAE of England can band together and
form there own charter school these are all things I feel we would
do if MMY pulled the plug on the US and Fairfield so I would expect
the Brits to do their own thing and ignore him as we would too. Are
we getting any direct feedback from any Brits on our site?

> I have another theory, and that is that England is smaller than
the US, and that the people who have the money there know better
where it is and how to hold onto it, and Maharishi wants it, so by
breaking up their cadre of leadership he throws them into chaos and
makes it easier to move whatever holdings out.

[FairfieldLife] HOw many did recti course and no docs

2005-05-12 Thread pibssmith
Does anyone know exactly how many USA teachers were rectified in
Fairfield and other locations and if there are still courses going on
and what the current plan of execution is now? Last I heard was silly
mall plan. Have they figured out that wont work yet?

I did hear all the doctors Sands, Rothenberg were told to teach and
not be doctors anymore and that Sands would teach in Des Moines and
Rothenberg in Florida as he was there taking care of aging mom anyway
and also that Nancy Lonsdorf was asked to leave the Raj. Any idea what
she will do? Her and her husband also own a condo in H Mt and her
book never made millions so guess she will need an income and may open
her own practice??? Anyone know??? What karma they got in with condo
and now outsted out of job. I am sure she is not happy about this. Her
husband had left his post earlier a year ago or so at Raj to do some
work with his brother so hope he is earning and they saw this coming
sort of knew Raj was weak but who now will run the spas? NO doctors
crazy. I have been sick I sure need them wonder why MMY does not want
any in the movement? Maybe he knows he cant claim that TM and Ayerved
cure you anymore. Albeit we know relaxtion techniques are even the
advice of most western doc these days. The whole doc thing is baffling
and where will Nancy go and who will be at Raj and other clinics or
will they close them down for peace palaces. This is quite the summer
SOO NUTs Anyone know?

[FairfieldLife] Shake UP

2005-05-12 Thread pibssmith
If the TMO want to shake things up and see who is really serious
they will shortly find out not many. All hell has broken loose it
has not been this crazy in a while with H MT , England, no docs what
is next and do we care?
FYI the meeting at MSAE was the usual dont know what they billed as
some new changes re recti course. I think it was mentioned the
direction they want to go in is separate campus for boys and girls
but no parents are in favor of a more expensive new school this one
is hardly functioning in terms of enrollment. NOt many favor the
spiritual school for boy and one for girls so it may be MMY plan but
wont hold water in this town no one will do it. I heard one lady got
up and complained about having prom again and Ashley was actually
normal and said this is America we do prom funny as last year MMY
said no remember and the families banned together and did it anyway
so they are very powerful as it is our community and some edicts
that come from high are not taken very seriously here at all.
So meditator out there should know that as you hear of these things
and get on this site and all that in Fairfield life is as normal
everyone is at thier job living their family lives and ignoring most
of this and find it at best entertaining.

[FairfieldLife] Shut Down and No Docs??

2005-05-12 Thread pibssmith
I think if MMY shut down the USA it would be great. We would not have
to hear this shit anymore . NO Bevan, no Haglin ,how nice would that
be. No this, no that, do this ,not that.

Anyone know what Nancy Lonsdorf will do? Certainly if she opened up
shop in town here she would have some following even though she is not
the greatest doc in my opinion but some like her. She knew this was
coming . She knew the Raj was weak . But I dont think she expected
this no doctor edict. And does anyone know what the thinking about all
this no doc thing is?

[FairfieldLife] Polar Dreams closed its doors?

2005-04-10 Thread pibssmith

I must have missed some posts. Can someone direct me to them or just
tell me why POlar Dreams went under. I thought Alan Unger had a
booming biz here?
and where did his right hand man Richard Rubin go. He and his wife
Toni had moved to I City anyway but he worked here and traveled so had
an apartment here. Just curious not meant to gossip.

And now there are tons laid off is that true? where are they all going?

Also Eric Szwartz new building is going to create more office space in
town that is already vacant with Polar out and Greenfield trying to
sell off shares in his buildings as if they were condo office space
and now Eric moving out to 185th and Pleasant Plain. Does not seem
likea good move he has any choice of space in town. I know he wanted
to conslidate and he lives out there too but heard he paid alot per
acres as well just dont get the economic of this town at all.
Robson Jade building on Hwy one in foreclosure as well
Another day in Fairfield I guess.
So who is left among biggish co
Telegroup, BAF, Hawthorne, Cambridge is that it?

[FairfieldLife] 50% OFF DISCOUNT ARE THEY SICK OR WHAT???

2005-04-25 Thread pibssmith

Hey big 50% off discount!

Announcement of a Special Training Conference

for Ladies taught by Maharishi

April 22, 2005

A course for ladies parallel to Raja Training, with the same highest
goal: To engage Total Natural Law for effortless fulfillment of
desires

Please express your interest by April 28.

Dear Governors and Citizen Sidhas,

Maharishi announced today a special training conference for ladies
(single or married), which has the same goal for development of
higher consciousness as Raja Training. Its objective is to enliven
the ability to spontaneously engage the total intelligence of
Natural Law, the Constitution of the Universe, to fulfill one's
intentions; to harness in one's awareness the omnipresent,
omniscient, omnipotent creative intelligence for perfection in human
life.

As experienced by the Rajas and their families, there is no more
powerful course of knowledge and experience than this. It sets the
individual on an unerring path to Unity Consciousness, from which
she radiates the nourishing, peaceful power of Natural Law to bless
her family, community, and nation. The influence of her
consciousness alone raises life increasingly into harmony with
Natural Law, the Will of God.

The training conference is open to lady Governors. Citizen Sidhas
who are experiencing Yogic Flying will also be considered.

The training is 3 to 4 months in length. The conference is available
to those making a donation of $1 million; or if there is some
financial strain, $500,000 could be donated now, and the remainder
donated at some later time.

Whether this conference will be held depends on the number of ladies
who apply. Please inform us within the next 6 days of your interest
and ability to attend. We do not know when this opportunity will be
available again.

ACTION STEP—PLEASE RESPOND BY APRIL 28

Please express your interest in Maharishi's training conference for
ladies by April 28, and include all the following information: Your
name, age, address (including country), phone number, email address,
whether you are a Governor or Citizen Sidha, whether you can make
the requested donation, and whether you are able to attend the
conference immediately or within a few weeks. Please email this
information to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

With warmest good wishes,
Jai Guru Dev

Dr. Paul Potter
Raja of New York

[FairfieldLife] Re: MORE Recert News

2005-04-25 Thread pibssmith

Glad some are enjoying the course that is what we all should do
enjoy life in our own way. However I recall some DC course when some
then friend chastied me for not going saying this was the last
course and you would save the world and get enlightened and healed
and all that. Well I did not go and it did not happen and I dont
belive for a second anything will come from this. The course may be
nice but the plan of action is impossible so poetic no one will
accomplish anything maybe in a few exisitng sturcture. I would bet
there will not be one new Peace Palace one or two years from now and
this course willhave been forgotten. In fact any mention of it will
fade away like the pundits they dont explain the why not they just
stop talking about them. Only more will get turned off and leave the
TMO as it is they are down to 300 how low can you get?

[FairfieldLife] Raja spottings

I saw Rodgers Badgett today "Rajas Rodgers" in his Nehru gold cap a
guess the crown people are talking about and a cream silk Nehru suit
the lenght of formal tails with matching pants and light colored shoes
and a white metal around his neck. Looked pretty werid! He was being
dropped off at his house on B St around 4:30 if anyone wants to go get
a gander.

2005-04-25 Thread pibssmith

Today is 4/25. For some reason there were many course goers at the
health food store in town around afterlunch today. It was obvious how
they were light colored suits. No one dressed that way here except
facutly and they rarely appear off campus at that hour. I guess they
can take a break and come in town or maybe some stayed an extra week
which is seems I heard and were at the end who knows.

The house thing was a mystery as I had heard they had moved into the
Raj and then were out of town. The for sale sign is still up but he
got dropped off there so guess he is still staying there for now
anyway. I think he still wants to sell but wont lower his price so
no one bothers to even make offers. After all those Rajas are kings
they cant sleep or do program in pundit ville with the masses:-) I
guess the metal is gold and the rope around the neck is white but he
did not have on a robe more a Nehru Indian suit and hat.

[FairfieldLife] www.peacecolonies.org

2005-07-09 Thread pibssmith
WEll I have been off line forever, out of town ,too busy sorry to
have missed the Kaplan divorce story but will look at past posts.
She is not stupid cookie now she has the money and can get on with
her life. But heard that Maharishi Global Construction MGC is
closing Aug 1 per Maharishi to focus on Peace Palaces ( are they
joking) and Peace Colonies. So if you want your MSV house it now has
to be a predesigned Peace Colony house only on your own land or the
colony. If you had already been given your "Vedic Demensions" you
can proceed and go ahead with any existing design.

Now how silly is this? Do we really think one of these things will
happen? A Palace no less a colony? They are at an all time high for
being out of touch with reality.( Dee Johnson bless her sweet soul
is still running around town saying the pundits are coming it is her
mantra. Someone should really tell her to shut up but hey what can
you do with these true believers ?) So you can build you can do what
you want( this is not Nazi Germany or is it?) but your house wont be
considered true certified MSV . I suppose you can build a design of
one that exisits if the very straight architexts involved with MGC
in the past will sell the plan to you but then you make any changes
and MGC is not there to give you vedic measurements it is not MSV. I
guess Michael Borden may get alot of biz now for the ones that could
give a shit and not many can afford to build anyway but crazy is not
the word for this. The site is down for repair but what I did see
earlier this week was very Indian looking. Perhaps they will change
the facades. They were cheap $80 a foot and you know what you will
get for that. So there you go another stupid TMO move. Anyone want
to bet how long this will last? I suppose there will be updates and
changes when they figure out no one wants those houses or that no
one family can be happy or have all their needs met in one design
expeically when they cost alot by Fairfield standards and no one in
the world in other cities will go for these lucracrist designs and
when they put all the Fairfield archtexts who have been loyal to
them out of business. I cant say what will be up when the site comes
back up so keep your eyes peeled www.peacecolonies.org and can they
really be an org? What makes them a org anyway?

[FairfieldLife] New TM centers

Have there been any success stories out there anywhere from any of
these new certified teachers? I have not heard of one that has be en

I know some of gotten office space and notified their local
meditators but beyond that we hear nada here in FF. I think this
whole thing will drop off soon and MMY will get angry and close the
whole TMO in the USA down.

Guess we will see. I have not heard of the first one going up just
lots of ceremonies and chatter and sounds like the pundits thing to
me. Do you really think any will really go up? That means they have
donated 1.5 million and the TMO is going to match that to put up a
building find land etc guess we will see. Do we really believe the
movement will make good on thier word? Have they ever before. They
could lose alot of Rajas. Did Harris Kaplan and a bunch of other
guys get named this or that a few years back and now you dont hear a
thing about whatever they were suppose to be doing. It all just
fades into the wood work and you never hear again. No one in FF even
talk about it in idle conversation over lunch no one believes it at
all

[FairfieldLife] Guru Purnima with MMY ALL Govenors invited???

2005-07-13 Thread pibssmith
Just heard ALL Govenors olds and new recertified or not are invited to
Guru Purnima in Vlopdrop with MMY. When did this new break and where
is the official email notification.
Do they really think many can afford a ticket on one weeks notice and
who will go ? The 100 who got receritified that wil charge this on
their credit cards as they did that and cant afford the debt. I heard
of one full time MUM couple that charged $13K guess they will do this
as well. Does anyone have any idea how many? Only to be yelled out by
MMY why they are not doing his new Peace Palace program etc and only
to sit in a room nearby and watch him yell by closed circuit TV.

Does anyone know anymore?

[FairfieldLife] Re: Guru Purnima with MMY ALL Govenors invited???

2005-07-13 Thread pibssmith
I guess you have to have a burning desire for whatever your reasons
are for this trip.
I hear it is still unclear who is invited ALL or just recertified and
the trip at less than one weeks notice and will cost alot and no
accomodations close by to house that many so some will be commuting to
the site and a TM adventure like when we were young. So as I said you
have to have a burning desire. But believe it or not there are still
some that will go for anyreason and will max out credit card and have
debt and be happy even if MMY yells at them. In the past hundreds
would go that is why I am curious with all the factors involved money
lack of interest TMO falling apart etc how many will really go so when
someone knows during or before or after please inform. Curious that is
all. But if it is one week away and still unclear who is invited I
woudl never succumb to that but you know the poorest usually do for
the master etc etc etc oy!!

[FairfieldLife] Re: Chopra-Primordial Sounds

2005-07-14 Thread pibssmith
I got from Chopra too in Boston somewhere
Those were different times for sure and I recall my feet lifting off
the ground and being so blissed and blessed to be there.
I had won the price of it in a company contest.
I do not recall the technique really sound wise and have forgotten
that one the old Advance TechniqueI was given by Lillian years eons
ago and also one given to me personally by Bevan. When you think
about it quite extradinary times.
But I do recall some instructions of Chopras which were to feel the
body type instructions and lie a certain way after program when I
rested. I believe with arms to side and legs wide open and on ones
back. We are getting old cant even recall techniques and willing to
talk about them. Guess I dont give a hoot anymore barely do my TM.

What is an independent one that has been teaching full time all
these years off the grid of the A form so to speak? I know one like
that in Florida hope he has been recruited. He is devoted and has

Anyone know who this is? The whole TM center thing all over again.

[FairfieldLife] Re: TMO sues unrecertified governor

2006-02-27 Thread pibssmith
I think you ought to move on and stop wasting your energy on the TMO
just call it something else and do your own thing. I heard that all
the meditators are going to the Rothenbergs so dont fight them they
wont last and will be gone as soon as Stuarts aging mom passes or
another project comes up just wait and do your own thing and dont
waste your energy or financial resources to fight them they wont
last there and the locals will come back to you
It is sad and they should be ashamed of themselves the Rothenbergs
just do their thing and leave you alone. I ofcourse would not
disconnect my phone so you may have to fight them on small fronts
but dont bother otherwise as they will leave town before you can
blink your eye. they cant teach much it is too coslty and the whole
peace palace thing is a joke so they wont last long hand in there
and stop wasting your energy on them

[FairfieldLife] Re: Thank for the Hog support

2005-10-25 Thread pibssmith
Thank you for your replies to "Hogs"

Another depressing thing is inspite of whatever feeling many of us
about the TMO the school MSAE is the crowning jewel so sweet and
such a nice environment for the kids. I saw an un named person this
past week whose spouse is a dean of one of the levels cant recall
which and when I asked this person frankly how things were going
with the 1-2 grade class near nil and 3-4 grade girls at 9 students
and not sure what boys total is. That persons answers is " We are
hoping for a miracle" Here I am in Hog mire worry and she is hoping
for a miracle to keep MSAE alive that was the best that person could
come up with I was stunned. I asked if MUM went under if MSAE
could survive and that person said yes but most likely parents would
start a charter school and bring some staff with and start their own
maybe even rent school buidling if it was not sold.

I really cant imagine but with it shriking I dont see how it can
exist realistically in 5 years.

To complicate my hog state of negativity I was in Iowa City at doc
appt last week and some lady in the docs office told me a sad hog
scenairo up state where they could not stop them. They are in
proceess of sueing and it has gone on for a long while Sierra Club
was involved as the run off killed wild life etc etc etc and she
thinks they had to go by somes stritcher standards the hog people
but they did not pull out once in. She said her husband was more
involved thru some nature group and it was in NE Iowa somewhere.

I am not really depressed but am trying to be real about our future
here. I figured if we sold our house now and got a fair price and
rented a SV house for 5 years just to pick a time frame and then
left we would lose in rent what we would lose to the bank if we just
never sold our house . So we have decided to just stay in our lovely
house. But sad that we have to have these thought even. However I
cant be a Ru that puts one's head in the sane and not be real about
all of this going on around us. I am sure there was always be a
prescense here but I wont be here of hog factories move in and I am
sure and know others that feel the same and it saddens me to think
this could acutally occur and is just another level of decline of
such a great little town.

I recall being in TTC and really into the TMO and telling my small
grog wouldn't it be great if we could all live in the same town and
a few years later it occurred. My spouse says dont worry that will
happen again. Groups will form and people will move where friends go
to NC or Boulder or Ashland or Ashville etc Florida it will happen
again and will be another phase no one could fathom just as you
could really think Fairfield would happen you just wished for it
back then at age 22. Sweet.

[FairfieldLife] Re: Vastu homes now for sale

2005-10-25 Thread pibssmith
Chris Johnson who owns the Mandala 6 operation or runs it says the
current policy though always changing is 20% of the gross
buidling/house cost ,insane.
Vastu Homes is another development on B St and they may do something
different but I suspect Rick is right and it is the same all across
the board. They all usually follow suit.
I cant understand why none have gone A Wald but maybe they signed
agreements with the TMO go figure etc etc etc
Michael Borden and a few others in town will build SV Vastu and are
not tied in to the movements nazi thing but most of the buiders and
architexts surprisingly are . Shocking as that may sound to those
who dont live here. If they all just rebeled we might get back to
normal housing prices here but they dont. And they are not all so
straight but must feel they have to do this or people wont want them
if they are not certified not sure. I know gobs of people that would
love cheaper Vastu houses that would be happy to pay normal prices.
Chris Johnsons motto is" If you want wait long enough it changes
again policy wise so never worry about it" He is cool that way but
always follows what MMY says to a tee and MMY or his office calls
him all the time guess that is reason enough to follow in his mind.
You would think he would stand up to him and tell him it wont fly. I
dont know why he just does not do his own thing but he wife is ultra
straight. In this town you have to just live your own life. If you
follow the TMO you will be poor and non the more enlightened.

Dr Pete
Do you know of any hotels in your area that have power? I think my
family would rather go north if you are in Miami but whatever. I
guess it all depends where you are. I have cousins in West Broward
and one has power and a few blocks away do not. the one that does
also has underground services.

[FairfieldLife] Re: REGARDING PANCHAKARMA AND OTHER TREATMENTS AT THE CLINIC IN NEW DELHI

2005-11-06 Thread pibssmith
I cant believe Raju would give money to the TMO and sell out like that?
Some folks are there now Tina Mc cant recall use to be Hawthorne, Bob
and Carol Markowitz and Doug Wingate so guess we will hear when they
arrive back. That will really stop people from going if he is giving
MMY money and raising his prices. That was the whole point and if
there is any question with the herbs. I know of friend of mine had her
herbs tested for heavy metals when she got back before taking them to
be sure. Personally I could never make that trip but 23 days of PK any
where would make you look and feel good.

[FairfieldLife] Re: REGARDING PANCHAKARMA AND OTHER TREATMENTS AT THE CLINIC IN NEW DELHI

2005-11-07 Thread pibssmith
Good results sure I would get them too at any PK clinic after 23
days but I have to say the people I know that have gone with illness
or weight issues or bone density or Parkinsons feel better but no
real cure so to speak of but hey if they feel better I say go for it.
Personally I could not make that trip and would sick just from that
alone and would be very concerned about India as I am delicate so
guess it all depends on how you feel about doing PK in India.
As far as Raju and prices guess for most it is still cheaper than
USA and if MMY has not figured that out yet or his TMO puppets then
they will soon learn as the Raj is going downhill and fast. It still
have people come a girl was just there from France for 21 days a
young wealthy girl that Rodgers sucked up to as usual. Guess he is
back for a bit. I was over there for lunch and got the scoop. Food
was not great but PK meal is good. They had 5 that week and claimed
to have 12 the week before but I hear in general that enrollment is
consistently low and Jean Tobin does not manage will. Ofcourse her
hands are probably tied with the TMO but whatever. It is only a
matter of time before that closes the lower school and MUM. They
cant go pass another few years. The school especially as the Frist
and Second graders are now few to nil and the 3 and 4 are combined
and next year 3 classes will combine and they could not accept fist
and second graders if they are not enough. guess that will all be
dealt with late next summer as the TMO always just does these last
minute stunts. the U had let more staff professors go and on and on
it just cant go on like this for long. Maybe this year the power
costs will get the Univ. Recall when they were asking for hand outs
to pay their Alliant bill or be shut down just a few years ago.

Does anyone know what happened to Aaron Brown and New Night on CNN and
why it is off the air and their website? Did I miss something while
being out of town and not as into TV as usual last week? Seems to me

[FairfieldLife] So Florida TM activities Rothenbergs

2005-11-27 Thread pibssmith
For anyone in So Florida that may not be on this list and wants to
be or wants to know what is going on there in the recertified
teacher lane here you go:( looks like the same old TM center stuff
of the 1970'to me. While we are on the subject did any peace palace
real activity ever occur? and as usual the TMO is silent about it
even about any palaces supposedly coming to Iowa like the pundits
silence any news? I dont expect any just curious. How many more
people dropped out of the TMO over this one but the Rothenbergs are
out there doing their thing. I heard his mom in her 90's lives there
so they are taking care of her as well as doing their recertified
thing. I wonder what their turn out is? Anyone know?

Here is an e-mail preview of a letter going out to all the

Dear Friends,

For those of you we have yet to meet, we are Dr. Stuart and Joan
Rothenberg and Dr. Richard and Debbie Thompson, recertified teachers
and Directors of the Transcendental Meditation program for Palm
Beach, Broward and Miami/Dade counties. We completed teacher
recertification in the spring of 2005 and have been authorized to
offer the TM program in South Florida. Recertification is a
requirement for approval by Maharishi to offer his TM program and
all follow-up programs. It is our joy and honor to provide all of
you with Maharishi's most complete and up-to-date knowledge and
latest programs for personal development and world peace.

We are delighted to tell you about these upcoming events for those
practicing the TM program:

TM Refresher Course

Saturday, December 10th, 1:30 to 4:00 p.m., in Boca Raton, repeated
in January in Palm Beach Gardens

A refresher course is a valuable opportunity for re-enlivening the
profound experience and practical benefits of the TM program. It
provides a thorough review of the correct practice of the TM
technique, group meditation, questions and answers, and excerpts
taken from Maharishi's lectures. This 2½ -hour course is free to all
who have been instructed in the TM technique. For registration,
locations and directions please call us at the numbers above or send
us an e-mail.

Winter Celebration and Pot-Luck dinner

Sunday evening, December 11th, Lanes' home, Boca Raton

You are cordially invited to join us on Sunday evening, December
11th, at the home of Bo and Leimomi Lane in Boca Raton for a festive
Winter Celebration. The evening will begin with group meditation,
followed by dinner, exciting Movement news and video excerpts from a
recent interview with award-winning film director and long-time
meditator, David Lynch. For reservations, details and directions
please call or e-mail us, as above

Advanced lecture

Sunday evening, January 8th, 7:30 p.m., Lanes' home, Boca Raton

Advanced lectures satisfy our desire for more in-depth knowledge of
the TM program. Deeper knowledge spontaneously enhances our
experience of finer states of awareness. These lectures are open to
all who have been instructed in the TM program and are free of
charge.

Our next advanced lecture will feature a just-released video of an
extraordinary lecture given by Dr. John Hagelin to a prestigious
Miami conference last June, entitled "Consciousness, Enlightenment,
and World Peace." The talk was interrupted numerous times by
applause and received a standing ovation. You won't want to miss one
of the most inspiring lectures ever given on the Transcendental
Meditation program. Please e-mail or call us for reservations and
directions.

Personal checking of the TM technique
Personal checking is always available to you whenever you feel you
would like to verify and validate your experience of the practice.
Please contact us to set up a personal appointment.

Group Super Radiance program for those practicing the TM-Sidhi
program

We are happy to announce that we have recently set up two group
program facilities, one in Broward County (Margate) and one in Palm
