Dear Emily, Richard is having some sort of life crisis. I don't know if his
wife has flown the coop, he has discovered he has no real friends or the

elicit feelings too. Try to keep it to 3 feelings/emotions per letter of the
alphabet. This will give you a range of 78 feelings in your feeling bank.
Let me know when Lesson 2 is complete and we will move on to Lesson 3 - also a
fun one - How to tell a Feeling from a Fact. This is where we start to take
on the phenomenon of why you like to engage in name-calling. I'll work on my
list too so you don't have to go it alone.

Dear Ann, I don't know if there is much hope for Sharester, but she has taken
a few baby steps this year, despite herself.
Given that Daughter #1 cracked the front bumper of her car through and through
trying to do a u-turn on a side street without quite knowing the turning radius
of her car (I have told her over and over - do what I say and not what I do;
these kinds of maneuvers take experience to be successful) - but she didn't
listen to dear old mom. And, given that Daughter #2 dropped her new phone in
the toilet, and when I replied with why do you feel the need to take your
phone into the bathroom with you?, she laid down one of my favorite
lines...MOMMM, YOU JUST DON'T *GET IT.* - well, I must go and take on one of
my favorite roles, that of Crisis Control Manager. We are leaving town for a
little RR after Christmas, with or without the new, new, phone and regardless

Great, but what about the Prairie Home Companion? That show is almost pure country. Do they have radio stations up there? On our trips up to see Dad, we used to listen to satellite radio in our car, but the rent is too damn high, so we listen to NPR out of Austin all the way to Lampasas. After that, we have to switch to our iPod plugged into the radio until we can tune a Dallas station. The last time I drove up to Fairfield, back in 2000, I took I-35 North and turned right on Highway 34. We are thinking about visiting friends in Deadwood SD, and Woodland, CA, on our way to visit my daughter in Santa Rosa. It will be a long road trip. feel lighter and brighter than usual. IT'S A FRIGGING MIRACLE, SHARE. Now, I
could attribute this MIRACLE to the Vitamin D in liquid form that I have in my

am raising teenagers, for one.
According to the Urban Dictionary, friggin' (and I prefer this spelling and
pronunciation) is a handy word used to replace fuckin(g) in arguments with
your mom, as in What the crap mom, that's so fu-friggin' lame. I will
confirm that this very phrase has been used on me. When I asked my teen to
please not swear at me, she told me in no uncertain terms that FRIGGIN was
not a swear word. Hmm.very interesting, isn't it?
Another definition in the Urban Dictionary of friggin' is a word for a
female masturbating. Is this the sense of the word that you were sensing?
In that the whole phrase was ...GET A FRIGGING LIFE and that frigging is
used as an adjective, not a verb, I think this unlikely. However, if you feel
like friggin, don't be embarrassed about it - I'm guessing that even the
Neanderthals had this figured out.
Yet another definition of the word frigging is a word used by cowards who
are too afraid to say fucking. I suspect this is what you meant in your
declaration; did you sense that Bob and I should GET A FUCKING LIFE Share?

Now, this statement of yours was made in response to a question to you about

another way of saying FUCK YOU OR FUCK OFF! Now, this could be a clue for

Luckily for you, I have put together a FEELINGS 101 manual for you and I am
willing to put it in the mail and pay for postage. I worry for you Share,
because resentments can lead to RAGE and they also often result in MEAN
behavior - both of which are not good for one's health. No amount of quinoa
(or dietary restrictions in general) will help with this kind of a problem.

Here is the rest of Lesson 2. Set up a file box (maybe an Iowa-themed recipe
box will do) with 26 cards, one for each letter of the alphabet. When you
identify a feeling you are having, write it down under the corresponding
letter. Now, we're after only the more negative feelings with you; you've got
positivity down. So, as I recollect, you were feeling cranky with Robin (a
C word) and were feeling exasperated by Bob and Emily. I'll bet Judy and Ann
elicit feelings too. Try to keep it to 3 feelings/emotions per letter of the
alphabet. This will give you a range of 78 feelings in your feeling bank.
Let me know when Lesson 2 is complete and we will move on to Lesson 3 - also a
fun one - How to tell a Feeling from a Fact. This is where we start to take
on the phenomenon of why you like to engage in name-calling. I'll work on my
list too so you don't have to go it alone.

That's it, Emily and Bob. That was my immediate reaction to seeing the photo.
Of course since then I figured out that most people use the same ornaments year
after year and put the tree in the same place. So maybe it is a current photo
of the current tree. But the photo sure looks suspiciously familiar. Go figure!
Of course it's a very lovely tree and photo so a repeat appearance is good
too.
No, this year my tree is in a different spot. I wasn't going to bother to go
take a picture of the new tree this year, upload it to the web and then move
it over here for this thread. But the tree this year, in its new location,
looks just as Christmasy and the living room is still as homey and the new
puppy we have makes it all even better. Here she is, just arrived from the SPCA
last night. We're calling her Fledermaus for obvious reasons. Puppies are
incredibly good for the soul, not to mention the abdominal muscles.

The afterthought was something Share wrote that didn't represent her
immediate and mundane response, which was the truth, imho. Read what she

That's it, Emily and Bob. That was my immediate reaction to seeing the photo.
Of course since then I figured out that most people use the same ornaments year
after year and put the tree in the same place. So maybe it is a current photo
of the current tree. But the photo sure looks suspiciously familiar. Go figure!
Of course it's a very lovely tree and photo so a repeat appearance is good
too.
