It depends on what is causing the anemia. If it is either an auto-immune reaction or lymphoma in the bone marrow, steroids should help (though a stronger steroid like dexamethasone would help more, probably). Hideyo, I am doing your visualization, it did really seem to help Dharma last time. In fact, thanks to you, I do that visualization with Bea and Satch all the time now, even though they are doing well, as a preventative and it helps to keep me positive. I'll close my eyes and do this for Dharma all the time. Hideyo, sending prayers. If she is anemic, wouldn't that be a sign that she has something other than FIP, like leukemia the cancer or something else hard to diagnose (but potentially treatable, or at least manageable for a while with steroids)? Michelle

Actually, anemia is one of the common symptoms of FIP as well, usually mild anemia, but as the condition gets worse their PCV could drop.. both of my Naomi and Peter were mildly anemic when they were first diagnosed, but Naomi got more anemic I hate anemia its too frustrating there arent many I can do though I know she is not at a point where she needs transfusion yet.. but if needed, I would try it, and would also try epogen.. I called about Acemanna again as you suggested when I was having a problem with Tsubomi unfortunately its still discontinued temporarily.. Presisolone is one of the treatments suggested for FIP havent used yet as FIP is auto immune disease, their own immune system attack their body.. I have been giving her moducare as immune balancer. Hi Hideyo, Athena and Artemis are doing great. They are about 1 1/2 years old now and you'd swear Athena can see just as well as her sister - she gets into just as much mischief as Artemis does. They are so cute. I haven't mixed them with the rest of the household, so they get to hang out in my study and sun themselves in the south facing window while I'm at work. My digital camera gave up the ghost last year and I'm leaving hints with my boyfriend for a new one this Christmas (so I can update their pics!) It is disturbing to me that the Acemanan is still being withheld from the market. I'm trying to remember if it was the FDA or dept. of agriculture that was doing that. This has been going onway too long and I wish there was someone I could contact about it. I know that Mama Kitty could need that again at some point in the future and it frustrates me to think it might not be available.
