So I'm not being able to enjoy the nice weather at all! Fair Acres Ole is enjoying his Montana adventure and has had two ladies arrive to keep him company. They are leaving soon, and he said to tell everyone he could handle a couple more before the summer ends. We are only 4 hours from Spokane area so Idaho and Washington mares are not too far for him. We anticipate him still being here for the early breeding season in 2012. We have decided to offer for sale our Erlend daughter WHR Beylah. She is a brown dun. She is Two this year and filled out very nicely for a two year old. She has been our foal that always looked good. Two Rivers Kare is her Dam. Both parents are Blue Ribbon in Conformation. Beylah has a beautiful dishy face and she has a lot of bone. She is bold and friendly and not afraid of anything.. She is the first to come to great you, in fact its hard to take pictures of her because she wants to see the camera, see you etc. She is about 14 hands and growing. She does all the things 2 year olds should do. She has her feet trimmed regularly and stands tied. She is healthy and sound. British Columbia happenings--CDE TRIALS---White Dun Filly for Sale

Ursula drove Trinity's Erik to second place in Training Level. Erik is here for training and sale. It was his first CDE and he was absolutely solid and willing. Ursula and Erik had the overall best Dressage/Cones scores. I drove my four-up at Training Level as well and won overall against singles and pairs. As there were no other fours competing, so I was put in with the rest of the group. No small feat in Section E to put a four-up through in equal or better times than singles or pairs. The following day our English riding trainer, Julie Pilon drove Ursula's Raynor to second place in Training level, and my groom Wanda Gammel drove my junior pair to third place in the same class. It was their first opportunity to drive a CDE. Last year I imported a White Dun colt from Eike and Susie in Germany along with other fillies sold to the States. Bastian Von Oderhoff has his first offspring on the ground in America. Her name is Trinity's Bryn, and she is a white dun. Very nicely put together with a friendly personality. She is by Reterra Hilmar (Karibu X Reterra Dagmar) and out of Angelica (Felcity's Orion X Andora) Ceili who is a 4 yr old is EXTREMELY calm and quiet, and really sweet and friendly. She was started this spring with 30 days on her. Even went out on a few trail rides. She is going back into training here at FCF this month and I would not be at all surprised to see her pick things up really quickly. She is a nice moving Filly. She was evaluated at age 2, and Wayne Hispley said "she should have a tremendous trot to her when she matures". She is a lovely looking filly. Still has maturing to do but she's a nice package. You can see pictures of her on my website. Will know more about her with training but I can see her easily doing dressage, driving, jumping, huntseat, trail riding all in a calm and willing matter. Gjest Filly for sale

Lida Mir, dam is Mira, who was imported from Norway and who also was on my farm last summer to sell on consignment. Mira sold FAST, she rode and drove nicely. Lida was not matured enough to start her last fall so she stayed on my farm till this spring, where she really bloomed over winter and spring. Lida Mir is the MOST talented Fjord I've ever started. WOW, the laterals on that girl. She has about 6-7 weeks under saddle. Including long lining, ground driving, so she is green but wow, talent galore. Lida is 14hh, with a GROUND COVERING WALK, springy trot and she loves to canter. No problem getting this fjord to canter. She does have a bit of a mare attitude, needs to be told who is in charge. Ground manners are VERY VERY Good, but at times under saddle she likes to see if she is in control. She will make an awesome hunter/jumper, dressage, eventer, CDE, you name it. She has it. I think she will make a great child's mount too in another year or so, she needs more time and training. But she is EASY to ride, very responsive to seat, legs, weight, reins. Owner needs to sell, price is at $5500 now, should go up with more training. I ride her mom all the time and old Thor (27) is showing no signs of slowing down. K is well built, lots of bone, but also moves out with wonderful extension. Loves to canter, swaps leads, jumps. All the groundwork has been laid for going either saddle or harness. Her mom has thrown a red dun baby and K has the same coloring as her mother Reterra's Evy, light brown dun w. reddish overcast. K is calm, smart and easy to train. She knows how to do all the stuff kids her age are sposed to know plus some. Imprinted. Handled daily. Loves people/kids. It is a reflection of her lines' trainability that her mom was a broodmare all her life, not broke to saddle until she was 9, and now rides with a loose neck rein on the trail, by herself, down the road, as if she'd been at it for years. 13.3, still growing, should mature 14H. Price $2000 ish, will have to go up when she starts training with Patti Jo in June. K is scheduled for 90 days under saddle w. Patti. She came on my farm last fall with her dam and a gelding. The owner decided she needed to sell them, the Mare and the Gelding sold right away. Both been there done that Fjords. The owner decided since they sold so quickly that perhaps she didn't want to part with Lida, so Lida stayed here and this late winter she decided she would indeed sell her and asked me to start working with her. WOW, what a JOY she has been. Oh, she is not perfect and I JUST started working with her. She is a bit of a boss mare and can at times try and test but she is getting MUCH better about that. BUT, what is so fun is I'm sure Carol will attest to this, she LOVES to CANTER and wow, how LIGHT she is!! I love that. No pulling on the lunge line, not breaking back into the trot, just a "kiss" and she is in her canter. She always has been very light in the halter when leading. BUT, oh no pulling on the lunge, LOVE that. She is very supple and forward. I've had lots of forward Fjords, and I LOVE forward, but sometimes they are a little strong too, Lida is not. That is very refreshing. I just started her and only backed her a handful of times, but I can feel a tremendous amount of talent and it's just gonna be fun fun fun working with her. This filly WILL be perfect for an adult or child. She is gonna be EASY to ride, PERIOD! Anyone looking for a mount that will WIN in the show ring, Lida is your girl. Price is right at $4500, every month it will go up with training. I can see why Carol loves her Gjest. If he throws this. It's not just movement. I don't think Lida has as nice of movements as Gjest, but it's the lightness, her lateral moves are gonna be easy to get, even the lightness in the bridle, much different. It's very refreshing. Lida is 14hh, refined, currently working with her on the ground, lunging, under saddle, schooling and trail riding will be done ith her, and will add long lining, ground driving and hitching in the future if not sold soon. She has a lovely fjord gelding named Jiminy (call name Jimmy) who is 7 or 9, I can't remember which, originally from Los Trigos. He is not large. He is about 13.2 I think. He is a well-trained riding horse suitable for a beginner, has been used with special needs kids in the past, and has been ridden western and English. He doesn't drive. He is a very sweet horse and is the horse that got us interested in fjords in the first place. The filly is about a year and a half, from back East of very good breeding, name La Traviata. She's going to be big, is drop-dead gorgeous, has had ground training. She is very bold and full of herself, but sweet. You could do anything with this one, but she'll need professional training.
