From my experience, it would appear that OS X disks are fairly universal. There certainly shouldn't be any problems within the one product line. Re: Tiger on iBook G4?
Jared: To keep casual piracy at a minimum, Apple creates its restore/install CD/DVD sets so that they work only with the specific model they shipped with. The installer runs a utility to insure that the computer is the proper model before the installation is started. IOW, you couldn't use my PowerBook restore DVD on your iBook. Since you have an iBook G4 and the restore set you bought is also for a G4 iBook, at first blush it would seem you will be able to use the CDs. However, if the G4 model you have and the G4 model the disks were made for are different the disks may not work. For example, a few weeks ago I took my restore DVD to a friend's how because his restore DVD was scratched and not working. The only difference between his PowerBook and mine was that mine was speedbumped. The DVD wouldn't work. david On Oct 4, 2005, at 9:05 PM, Jared Noska wrote: Hello! Ed, I was going to buy a keyboard for our Lombard off of ebay. However, I found one used for the same amount from someone that i knew. Hi, I am a lurker and thought that I musht interject at this point. I am a network engineer just an fyi. The UDP box is not your problem. UDP in layman's terms provides a connectionless, unreliable transport service and is generally used in one way communications that use broadcast or multicast IP datagrams. These are usually associated with internet gaming as there is NO guarantee of the packet arriving to its destination. Applications that use UDP must supply there own reliability mechanisms. I hope this helps with your UDP question... Regards, Eric On Oct 5, 2005, at 4:06 PM, [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Hi, I hit the download button on the Windows media player website.
