By the same tocan, i could say entombed has more to do than wander round a
set of locations trying to up your stats to fight other players!

Entombed was based on a roguelike concept, and that's what you do in
roguelikes. Treasure, searching for different items and completing quests
are already in the game, and Jason's confirmed there will be more of
that sort of thing in the full release.

 Hi guys,
My next implementation of Entombed is going to be actually releasing the
game, version 1. This is subject to change, but I'm anticipating the
 following features:
 - 5 brand new jobs plus 2 new playable jobs from previous versions that were
monster-only bringing the total to 17 playable jobs.
 - 4 new playable races (at least), with as maybe as possibly 7 more.
 - Roughly 40 new monsters.
 - 25 dungeons levels.
 - New weapons.
 - Shields.
 - New spells and abilities.
 - 20 character levels.
 - New dungeon branches.
 - New boss battles.
 - New secrets.
 - Over 20 new status effects like sleep, paralysis and more.
Plus the usual fixes and tweaks.
I'm planning to sell Entombed for $39.99 using a login/key system.
If you like (or even love Entombed) it's extremely likely you will also like
any future title or sequel. So please don't pirate the game. The unfortunate
truth is if I can't rationalize working on games like this (2 years in
development), then I'll move on to other projects elsewhere. That said, I
really enjoy doing this and I think it's a perfect scenario for many future
 games to come.
 Cheers!

Re: [Audyssey] Major entombed news!

2009-11-27 Thread dark
Entombed was always going to be commercial, bare in mind Jason has been
working on it for the last two years nearly! in fact, I think it'd be a
great shame indeed if he doesn't get enough good response to this to create
more games.

Yes, muds are free.

muds are also multiplayer, single character, usually lack decent questing or
story for specific in game elements, and do not have sound or music.

while I've not had mud experience, I'd also imagine you'd be hard pressed to
find a mud with enemies who are as intelligent, or interesting to fight as
the entombed monsters, much less one which allows you so many actions
during combat with your various characters.

entombed is also randomized, so even if combining and rescuing different
character classes doesn't give enough replay value, --- randomly created
dungeons and items certainly should!

I'll admit, I'm actually slightly narked that when someone spends two solid
years writing a high quality audio game, not to mention the first ever!
serious audio rpg, the first response we get is oh I can't be bothered
to pay for the game, there are plenty of muds!

I'll admit I'm heavily biased, sinse I've been very much involved with
entombed from the start, and the muds I've tried have been less than
satisfactory in terms of quests and in game history.

Beware the grue!

Obviously this is a personal opinion, but I think 39 usd is a fair
price.

Afterall, draconis charge the same for pinball extreme, which doesn't have
half the lastability of entombed.

to get a good idea of this check out the audio games price list at
http://www.pcsgames.net/prices.htm

obviously though, what a given person thinks is or is not expensive is
a very variable thing.

following features:
- 5 brand new jobs plus 2 new playable jobs from previous versions that
were

monster-only bringing the total to 17 playable jobs.
If you like (or even love Entombed) it's extremely likely you will also
like
any future title or sequel. So please don't pirate the game. The
unfortunate

truth is if I can't rationalize working on games like this (2 years in
development), then I'll move on to other projects elsewhere. That said, I
really enjoy doing this and I think it's a perfect scenario for many
future

games to come.
Cheers!

a great shame indeed if he doesn't get enough good response to this to
create more games.

Yes, muds are free.

muds are also multiplayer, single character, usually lack decent questing
or story for specific in game elements, and do not have sound or
music.

while I've not had mud experience, I'd also imagine you'd be hard pressed
to find a mud with enemies who are as intelligent, or interesting to fight
as the entombed monsters, much less one which allows you so many
actions during combat with your various characters.

entombed is also randomized, so even if combining and rescuing different
character classes doesn't give enough replay value, --- randomly created
dungeons and items certainly should!

I'll admit, I'm actually slightly narked that when someone spends two
solid years writing a high quality audio game, not to mention the

can't be bothered to pay for the game, there are plenty of muds!

I'll admit I'm heavily biased, sinse I've been very much involved

satisfactory in terms of quests and in game history.

Obviously this is a personal opinion, but I think 39 usd is a fair
price.

Afterall, draconis charge the same for pinball extreme, which doesn't have
half the lastability of entombed.

to get a good idea of this check out the audio games price list at

obviously though, what a given person thinks is or is not expensive is

Subject: [Entombed] Entombed Release Information
Hi guys,
My next implementation of Entombed is going to be actually releasing the
game, version 1. This is subject to change, but I'm anticipating the
following features:
- 5 brand new jobs plus 2 new playable jobs from previous versions that

were

monster-only bringing the total to 17 playable jobs.

Cheers!

Considering the beta alone can keep one busy for months, I don't think
that's much at all...in fact, I was expecting at elast 50 bucks for this-
and I'd be willing to pay it.

I am quite literally counting the hours until this release, which
brings me to a question, does anybody have any idea of a rough time

 lol.

 Subject: [Entombed] Entombed Release Information
 Hi guys,
My next implementation of Entombed is going to be actually releasing the
game, version 1. This is subject to change, but I'm anticipating the
 following features:
 - 5 brand new jobs plus 2 new playable jobs from previous versions that
 were
monster-only bringing the total to 17 playable jobs.
If you like (or even love Entombed) it's extremely likely you will also
 like
any future title or sequel. So please don't pirate the game. The
 unfortunate
truth is if I can't rationalize working on games like this (2 years in
development), then I'll move on to other projects elsewhere. That said,
 I
really enjoy doing this and I think it's a perfect scenario for many
 future
 games to come.
 Cheers!
 Jason

hi well at least one can try it before buying it in the beta
However for 40 dollars a sighted person would get a full FPS 3D type
