instead.
Is Kabbani maybe trying to get back at ISNA for overshadowing him?

The Irrefutable Proof that Nazim al-Qubrusi Negates Islam

All Praise is due to Allaah, Lord of the Worlds and Prayers and Peace upon His
Final Messenger
Muhammad. To proceed:
The following is a small work compiled by Samir Kadi, an adherent to one of the
Sufi orders other
than the Naqshabandi order and Ash'ari in creed. It aims to expose the lies and
expressions and
statements of apostacy and disbelief that one of the heads of the present day
Naqshabandis has made.
It is highly commendable for someone to speak out against such blatant
opposition to the creed of
Islam and the present treatise does so in a very clear and IRREFUTABLE way - a
sign of the author's
justice and regard for the truth - even though we would disagree with the
author in some aspects of
his creed [i.e. his Ash'ari beliefs] and some other issues - we commend his
struggle for exposing
falsehood. It is unfortunate that in most likelihood, you will see the
Naqshabandis, instead of
humbling themselves and returning to the truth, will - inspite of evidence as
clear as daylight - will
go on to defend their Shaikh and Mentor - a clear sign of their misguidance and
devilish nature.
Deaf, dumb and blind - so they do not return [to the path]. And refuge is from
Allaah alone...
Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds, the One Who protected the Religion
by
scholars who implement their knowledge - humble and knowledgeable about
Allah. May Allah raise the rank of Prophet Muhammad, his kind Al and
Companions, and those who genuinely follow them. May Allah protect the nation
of Prophet Muhammad from what he fears for them. Thereafter;
Allah, Ta^ala, said:
(Al ^Imran, 31) which means: "Say, O Muhammad, "If you love Allah
then follow me to earn the acceptance of Allah.""
The Messenger of Allah, sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam, warned us against those
who deviate from him in a hadith related by al-Bukhariyy and Muslim:
which means: "There are people whose skin is the same color as ours, who speak
the same language as we speak, they mix correct matters which you know with
bad matters which you denounce [they mix the correct statements with the
deviated ones]. They stand by the gates of Hellfire inviting others to enter.
If one
listens to them, they push him in."
It is of utmost importance for the Muslim to look thoroughly at the person from
whom he acquires knowledge. In the introduction of his book, As-Sahih, Imam
Muslim related the saying of the highly esteemed follower of the companions,
Muhammad Ibn Sirin:
which means: "This knowledge contains the rules of the Religion, so look
thoroughly into the person from whom you acquire the knowledge of your
Religion."
In light of this important matter, I seek to expose those who deviate from the
path of the Prophet.
A little over two years ago, in the winter of 1995, I attended a celebration in
Chicago. During that celebration, a man named Hisham Kabbani stood at the
podium and delivered a speech in which he said, "Ar-Rahman is Muhammad."
My body shivered from horror when I heard his words. Not wanting to let his
words pass unchallenged, and as my speech was scheduled to be given
immediately after his, I decided to forgo my original speech to refute his
words. I
took the platform and explained that his words contradict the Religion and are
blasphemous, may Allah protect us. Hisham Kabbani heard my speech and was
silenced by the truthfulness of my words based on the proofs from the Qur'an and
Sunnah. However, he did not clear himself of his blasphemous saying nor did he
show any remorse. I was astonished by his negligence in this issue, so I
inquired
about him and was told he was the deputy of Sheikh Nazim al-Qubrusi.
I had the determination to check the background of this man. In my endeavors, I
met many People of Truth and Integrity who had met Sheikh Nazim al-Qubrusi in
Tripoli, Damascus, London, and the United States. Some of them had even met
his sheikh before him. Later on I came across a book authored by his sh

Prosecute Kabbani for criminal defamation: Lim
Lim Kit Siang, the Chairman of the Democratic Action Party, has asked
the Malaysian government to
prosecute Shaykh Muhammad Hisham Kabbani for criminal defamation for
alleging that Malaysia is
linked to extremist Islamic groups in the US. Lim said Kabbani, the
Chairman of the Islamic Supreme
Council of America (ISCA), has made this allegation without furnishing
any evidence.
"In making his allegation," said Lim, "Kabbani said when the Islamic
organisations in the US were
investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) for possible
links with several extremist
groups, Malaysia was inevitably linked."
Lim added, "This is the first time such an allegation linking Malaysia
with terrorism had been made
publicly and internationally."
"Is it now suggested that all these adverse US media reports are all
because of the so-called funding of
US extremist Islamic organisations by a former Cabinet Minister as
Kabbani alleged?" asked Lim.
"To protect Malaysia's national interest and honour, the
Attorney-General should consider whether
there is a case to prosecute Kabbani for criminal defamation against
the government and country
unless he can produce evidence to substantiate his allegation."
"Kabbani should also be required to produce evidence to substantiate
his allegation that a former
Cabinet Minister had contributed US$10 million to an extremist American
organisation, or he should be
declared a persona non grata and prohibited from entry into Malaysia."
"Would Kabbani be given such VIP treatment by the Malaysian government
and the Malaysian
mainstream media if he had alleged that a member of the present Cabinet
had been funding extremist
Islamic organisations in the US and that this had been discovered by
the FBI?" asked Lim.
"Kabbani would have been hounded and bundled out of the country
immediately after he had opened
his mouth, and rightly so, if he had made a similar allegation against
a current member of the Cabinet
without producing any proof."
"And there is no reason why he should be treated differently, just
because he is making an allegation
against a former Cabinet member who is regarded as UMNO's Public Enemy
Number One."

had stayed in London for a year to learn from al-Qubrusi. From this man, I
obtained some of al-Qubrusi's books.

Part II Kabbani exchanged salams with us and we shook hands with him, yet, it was a
difficult situation for us. We were in a dilemma. Personally, I was a little concerned
as I had received several threatening calls in the past from his followers telling me
that if I pursued the issue pertaining to his speech at the State Department, I would
face dire consequences. The presence of his entourage was also a matter of security
for me. There exists a unanimous decision of several Muslim organizations that
prohibits us sharing any forum with Kabbani or his group, until he retracts or proves
the statements he uttered at the State Department a few years ago. In the statement
Kabbani accused 80 percent of Islamic centers and mosques in the U.S. to be run by
extremists. He also implied that Muslim students were capable of carrying nuclear
bombs in their back packs and that Muslim women who were donning hijab during the day
were flirting with European officials during night. I personally!
learned from a source in Washington that the National Terrorism Commission reportedly
used Kabbani's statement about students to recommend that all foreign students should
be monitored and their change of field of study should be studied closely. Since
Kabbani has neither retracted the statement nor proved it, the decision to avoid
sharing any forum with him still stands. Hence, Dr. Hathout and I decided instantly
that we would not stay at the function. On the basis of our understanding of the Quran
and Sunna we decided to communicate to Dr. Hashmi that we would no longer speak at the
function as it would imply that we were sharing the forum with Kabbani. We told him
that we would not betray Muslim unity and that we would stick by the collective
decision of Muslims even if it meant that we had to leave the Momin Lodge without
speaking.

Kabbani Fitna Part III

Part III The Quran is clear on the subject. It says " Do not equate evil with good and
dispense evil in decent manner." Our understanding of the matter is that harming
Muslims, making accusations against them without proving them, casting doubts about
the chastity of Muslim women and endangering the future of Muslim students fall in the
category of evil. Thus we decided to remove ourselves from the scene without creating
a scene. We know for fact that if the audience had known of this decision and the
reasons behind it, some 80 percent of them would have acted the way we acted. Some
people asked us why Dr. Sakr stayed and spoke and mingled with Kabbani. To the best of
our understanding Dr. Sakr is also a signatory of the decision to avoid Kabbani in
public forum. If he thought that the rule was not applicable to him or to the
situation, then it is his decision, which he is entitled to. However, many in the
Muslim community would question Muslim leaders as to the legitimacy of !
their decisions if they themselves are the first ones to break them. Our Prophet tells
us that we should be the first ones to challenge evil. Depending on our abilities, we
should use either of the three matters, either stop the evil that is happening, or
loudly speak out against it or consider it wrong in our hearts. Based on the phone
calls we received from people, we find strong support of our action and we pray to
Allah to help our community distinguish between those who have harmed its interests
and those who are ready to stand by the decision their community asked them to take.
The issue is not personal. It is an issue that involves the honor of our women, the
integrity of our Islamic centers and the future of our students. We have suffered
immensely at the hands of leaders who have misled us in the past. We are not willing
to be fooled again. We should call spade a spade. We do not want to play politics with
the future of our community. Any thing that is harmful to our !
children must be challenged. In our judgement, what Kabbani said at the State
Department has made each one of us a suspect in the eyes of Americans. We cannot trust
a leadership that does not think logically about the interests of our community and we
do not want to rely on a leadership that is so immersed in the process of self
promotion that it often compromises on basic Islamic principles. In our humble
judgement what Kabbani said at the State Department was a violation of Islamic
principles. Islam demands from each one of us not to falsely accuse other, not to cast
doubt on the chastity of women and not to harm the future of our innocent youth. As
long as the statements are not withdrawn and an apology is not given to the Muslim
community, our decision to avoid any contact with Kabbani's group will stay and stay
strong

The raids were the first to be coordinated by the Treasury Department's counterterrorism task force responsible for stopping the flow of money to terrorist organizations in the United States and abroad. The department announced the raids in a single-page press release that gave the number of targets but provided little other information about them or the nature of what the authorities sought. People close to the Treasury investigation said, however, that among the main targets was a commercial building at 555 Grove Street in Herndon, Va., where the SAAR Foundation, a Saudi-financed charity that is now defunct, had an office until recently. No representative of the foundation could be located for comment. The Grove Street building, about 20 miles from Washington, also houses offices of several other Islamic charities and individual Muslims who, officials said, are being investigated for the possibility of money-laundering activities. That charity has a parent, the Muslim World League, that officials said was also searched. Corporate records show that the Muslim World League, which is financed in part by the Saudi government, is based at the same address as the relief organization, in Falls Church, but that it has used the Herndon building as a mailing address.
