Re: [hlds_linux] Counter-Strike 1.6 beta server

2013-01-29 Thread px
Hello.

On test setup under FreeBSD 9.1 I get on start
./hlds_linux: symbol lookup error: ./libstdc++.so.6: undefined symbol:
_ZNSt8messagesIcE2idE, version GLIBCXX_3.4

If I remove shipped libstdc++.so.6 then next error message appeared

LoadLibrary failed on ./cstrike/dlls/cs.so: /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6: version
`GLIBCXX_3.4.15' not found (required by ./cstrike/dlls/cs.so)
Host_Error: Couldn't get DLL API from ./cstrike/dlls/cs.so!
FATAL ERROR (shutting down): Host_Error: Couldn't get DLL API from
./cstrike/dlls/cs.so!

Running with metamod failed with unexpected error

LoadLibrary failed on ./cstrike/addons/metamod/metamod.so:
./cstrike/addons/metamod/metamod.so: cannot open shared object file: No such
file or directory
Host_Error: Couldn't get DLL API from ./cstrike/addons/metamod/metamod.so!
FATAL ERROR (shutting down): Host_Error: Couldn't get DLL API from
./cstrike/addons/metamod/metamod.so!

But I specified metamod_i386.so, running under truss shows, that
engine for some reasons searched for wrong file

58029: linux_open("./cstrike/addons/metamod/metamod.so",0x0,05007672754) ERR#2
'No such file or directory'

Renamed file to match engine expectations, next try, no luck, now from metamod:

Game DLL version mismatch
DLL version is 140, engine version is 140
The game DLL for cstrike appears to be outdated, check for updates

So, anybody manage to run new binaries under FreeBSD?

Just finished testing this update, on clean server (even no metamod
installed) I get strange behavior, in HLSW server appearing and
disappearing for near every 10 seconds, when I connect to server
ingame, rcon commands executing with something like 1 to 10 ratio,
most time I even can't check cvar values. Is this intended behavior?

[hlds_linux] Two regressions on hlds build 5408

2011-08-22 Thread px
Hello

Recently updated to latest beta build and found two regressions:

1) With default setting sv_allow_dlfile 1 cs_estate and some other
maps lags as hell. Changing it to 0 fixes the problem
2) Even on clean server (no amx/metamod) some people get "STEAM
validation rejected" when connecting, while other can connect without
any problems, and "problem" people can connect on other hlds game
servers on same physical server.

Use WCG server config, removing sv_lan 1

Just tested on clean server with latest build, can't reproduce or you

That is a bad bug report, you imply that developers/other users are
aware of details of that problem, while they not. So, request will be
ignored, and you get the possibility to claim "They don't fix
anything". That is counterproductive.

Isn't them were fixed near 4883/5006? Also, same problem as with 2.

Re: [hlds_linux] Half-Life 1 engine beta update released

2011-08-18 Thread px@ipt
Hello

Are you sure, that they are reported in correct place? I've read that
old thread, and most problems in it are client-side, while we are in
dedicated server list.
Also, if you want to something be fixed, you must remind developers
about it from time to time. For example, I've reported about annoying
log message
[S_API FAIL] SteamAPI_Init() failed; unable to update local steamclient.
Continuing with current version anyway.
near year ago and get no response, but when I re-reported about it
several weeks ago, it get fixed in latest 5408 build
So, take this list, latest hlds build, check those of problems, which
server-side related, and if they still there, re-report about them
here :)

On first look update I don't see regressions, but I have one question:
there is a problem with sound on cs_siege, if you enter this map, all
sound get distorted, even on other map/server, until you fully restart
client. Is this server side issue, or client side?

Re: [hlds_linux] [hlds] Half-Life 1 engine beta update released

2011-07-25 Thread px@ipt
Hello

Tested new beta build 5382 under FreeBSD 7.4 with Fedora Core linux
emulator, on start I constantly receive error

ipcserver.cpp (956) : Assertion Failed: FD_ISSET( fd, (fd_set *)m_pfdset )
Assert( Assertion Failed: FD_ISSET( fd, (fd_set *)m_pfdset )
):/home/VALVE/alfred/valve/steam3_rel_client/src/clientdll/../common/ipcserver.cpp:956

and after some time

threadtools.cpp (2674) : Assertion Failed: Failed to create thread (error 0xb)
Assert( Assertion Failed: Failed to create thread (error 0xb)
):/home/VALVE/alfred/valve/steam3_rel_client/src/tier0/threadtools.cpp:2674

On other testbox with FreeBSD 8.2 first error also appear, don't have
much time now to make more testing, though...

Yeah, this is commom problem last week, there is a bug in autobuy
option, founded temporal workaround as amx plugin:

#include

#define PLUGIN_VERSION "1.1"
#define PLUGIN_AUTHOR "PomanoB & UFPS.Team"

new g_logfile[64]

public plugin_init( )
{
register_plugin( PLUGIN_NAME, PLUGIN_VERSION, PLUGIN_AUTHOR )

register_clcmd( "cl_setautobuy", "cmd_check" )
register_clcmd( "cl_setrebuy", "cmd_check" )

get_time ( "autobuy_%Y%m.log", g_logfile, charsmax ( g_logfile ) )
}

public cmd_check( id )
{
static arg[512], args, i
args = read_argc( )

for( i = 1; i < args; ++i )
{
read_argv( i, arg, charsmax( arg ) )

if( is_cmd_long( arg, charsmax( arg ) ) )
{
log_autobuy( id )
return PLUGIN_HANDLED
}
}

return PLUGIN_CONTINUE
}

stock bool:is_cmd_long( string[], const len )
{
static cmd[512]

while( strlen( string ) )
{
strtok( string, cmd, charsmax( cmd ), string, len , ' ', 1 )

if( strlen( cmd ) > 31 ) return true
}

return false
}

stock log_autobuy( id )
{
static name[32], steamid[44], ip[16]
get_user_ip( id, ip, charsmax( ip ), 1 )
get_user_authid( id, steamid, charsmax( steamid ) )
get_user_name( id, name, charsmax( name ) )

log_to_file( g_logfile, "Autobuy bug use: %s [%s] <%s>", name, ip, steamid )

http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Command_Line_Options#Parameters

  Optional parameters
These are only needed to access limited content.
* -username - Steam account username
* -password - Steam account password
