AMX automatically loads these into Metamod, this should be expected.

Using a mix of Dopefish's binaries and the "optimised" binaries, I've
managed to get AMX. WC3 etc working nicely again. I'm testing stability at
the moment and I plan to put these up for download soon.

I did have to upgrade my glibc however, I've had no luck at all with 2.2. If
you're using Debian you can upgrade by switching your apt sources to
unstable, and running the command " apt-get install libc6 g++-3.3 gcc-3.3"
which should upgrade what you need. Accept any dependencies it wants to
install too.
Switch back to the testing/stable mirrors afterwards. Things seem pretty
stable at present.

glibc 2.2.
thats the only one left over on my server that I don't have yet, so
still half my plugins aren't loading.

Ok, so I've done this. Yes, AdminMod does report itself as version 5:9,
with MetaMod as 5:10. After it finishes loading all CVARs/Data, it
summarily crashes, no matter what plugin(s) I have loaded at startup.
The only plugin that doesn't have this problem is Cheating-Death, which
is also verion 5:10 (or at least appears to be).

RE: [hlds_linux] New Update Issues

2003-11-26 Thread Peter Holcroft
I have no modules running. (Perhaps they need to be recompiled for the new
code added)

Plugins.ini:
admin.amx ; admin base (required for any admin-related)
;admin_mysql.amx; admin base - MySQL version (comment admin.amx)
admincmd.amx; basic admin console commands
adminhelp.amx ; help command for admin console commands
adminslots.amx ; slot reservation
menufront.amx ; front-end for admin menus
cmdmenu.amx ; command menu (speech, settings)
plmenu.amx ; players menu (kick, ban, client cmds.)
;restmenu.amx ; restrict weapons menu
mapsmenu.amx; maps menu (vote, changelevel)
antiflood.amx ; prevent clients from chat-flooding the server
adminchat.amx ; console chat commands
adminvote.amx ; vote commands
nextmap.amx ; displays next map in mapcycle
timeleft.amx; displays time left on map
mapchooser.amx ; allows to vote for next map
scrollmsg.amx ; displays a scrolling message
imessage.amx; displays information messages
welcomemsg.amx ; console motd @ client connection
;stats.amx ; stats on death or round end (CSStats Module
required!)
;stats_logging.amx ; weapons stats logging (CSStats Module required!)
telemenu.amx; teleport menu (Fun Module required!)
;miscstats.amx ; bunch of events announcement for Counter-Strike
pausecfg.amx; allows to pause and unpause some plugins
;statscfg.amx ; allows to manage stats plugins via menu and
commands
adminff.amx ; Turn On/Off Freindly Fire. say /ff for info.

I bet its the modules though as Olo has implemented some system where he can
load metamod plugins/modules through amx. So whatever code he is using to do
that probably needs updating just like metamod did.

Cheesy.

I am using the same amx version and its not working for me. I'm using a
dual mp tho. VAC enabled/disabled made no difference. Can you list your
amx/plugins.ini and your metamod/plugins.ini?

Umm not gloating, just to let you know I have it working witht he following
setup.

P4 2.4Ghz
Metamod 1.17
AMX 0.9.6j
VAC disabled

You should post your details if you don't have it working so that they can
figure out what is wrong, rather than just say its broke.

Server IP address 219.88.241.81:27015

Metamod version 1.17 Copyright (c) 2001-2003 Will Day

Downloading Security Module from Speakeasy.net ...
Completed downloading Security Module from Speakeasy.net Server is in Secure
Mode.
./hlds_run: line 412: 13397 Segmentation fault $HL_CMD
Add "-debug" to the ./hlds_run command line to generate a debug.log to help
with solving this problem Thu Nov 27 15:25:31 NZDT 2003: Server restart in 2

My server is crashing after updating. Yes, I HAVE updated Metamod.

Could Valve take a look ASAP please?

Cheers,

RE: [hlds_linux] New Update Issues

2003-11-26 Thread hondaman
I am using the same amx version and its not working for me. I'm using a
dual mp tho. VAC enabled/disabled made no difference. Can you list your
amx/plugins.ini and your metamod/plugins.ini?

Umm not gloating, just to let you know I have it working witht he following
setup.

P4 2.4Ghz
Metamod 1.17
AMX 0.9.6j
VAC disabled

You should post your details if you don't have it working so that they can
figure out what is wrong, rather than just say its broke.

AMX does it - and that's the only plugin I have.

Is there anyway of getting AMX to release some kind of update fast?

Try removing each plugin one at a time to see which one is the cause of
the problem. MetaMod has a good backwards compatibility mechanism but
perhaps one of the addons is using it incorrectly.

RE: [hlds_linux] New Update Issues

2003-11-26 Thread Peter Holcroft
Umm not gloating, just to let you know I have it working witht he following
setup.

P4 2.4Ghz
Metamod 1.17
AMX 0.9.6j
VAC disabled

You should post your details if you don't have it working so that they can
figure out what is wrong, rather than just say its broke.

Re: [hlds_linux] New Update Issues

2003-11-26 Thread agenthh
Same here. It appears a new interface version (5:10) is present;
everything else is 5:9. Some plugins (Cheating-Death, ChickenMod) work,
some (AMX, AdminMod) don't.
