The cheapest Irideon WindPro tights I've found are $109.95 at Sportack.
Have you found any cheaper anywhere??? Ferne

I don't think I've been buying the WindPro version - I believe the Irideons
I've bought may be three-seasons or something like that...? They are
lightweight and very stretchy, with a fairly slick outside, and a lightweight
fleece inside. I think I've paid about $65-75 for these.

I've always been sensitive over my size, but I'm thinner now than I've
ever been while healthy. I was 25lbs lighter one time, but I was very
sick, so that doesn't count. I'm *still* sensitive over my size. If
you want to email me your measurements I'll be happy to verify them to
the size chart for you, if not then I'd recommend going and trying
some on.

I have a lovely mismarked coat. It's marked a size 0. ;) I'm a size
12, but it makes me feel good to look at the label!

Let me share something... I bought a pair of custom deerskin breeches at
auction, two pairs actually... I can't wear anything since. ;)

The deerskin IS comfy and luxurious, no doubt. BUT, if you've never worn
them, you'll have to keep in mind that, while the deerskin does have a
little give to it, you will lose some of the stretchiness of the breeches.
As I said before, I can still wear size 30's in other styles, but not in
these.

And I absolutely CANNOT wear the deerskin full seats in our humid summers -
I melt. They are fine for me in the early spring and late fall. I am
hanging on to my pair of Equissential arctic fleece tights, just in case I
ever get motivated to lose a little weight.

If I ever get another pair of the Equissentials, I will get just the
extended patches, not the full seats. But, then, I'd expect to lose some of
the pampered feel of deerskin. So, maybe I'll just stick with my cheap
cotton summer-weight riding tights and Irideon fleece tights for winter.
I like being able to wash and dry my riding pants without much special care
anyway.

I can imagine as I remember wearing them at Equitana in Kentucky and it was
brutal. Equissentials was the manufacturing company that made the tölting
treads for us - light weigh tights with Icelandics tölting, trotting pacing
etc up and down the legs.

If you want a light weight comfy, inexpensive riding pant also check out
Kerrits - www.kerrits.com They are made in Oregon and I have just bought a
couple of pairs of boot cut pants - they only have knee patches so aren't as
grippy as the deerskin but are cooler in the summer. Virginia can look at
them in the Greenhawk catalogue (a Canadian company so you won't have the
exchange rate). They are not NEARLY as fun - with fringe etc - as the
Equissentials but also a good option.

They're wonderful, and when the fabric wears out you can pay a small
fee and have them remade with the same seat.

starting to do breech parties where you get to try on numerous pairs
and see what you like.

I LOVE full deerskin seats, they're so much nicer than the clarinos or

You and me both, Karen. But, I'm trying real hard to resist the sugars and
fats I could eat when younger. Us old folks must cope with SLOWED metabolism
:-)
I'm a bit confused about size..never having purchased riding
pants/breeches. I wear a petite size 12 in regular jeansand am happily
moving towards
a loose 12--towards 10 :-) Sure is difficult to lose weight and inches in

These tights sound great, and I can sure use all the help I can get to stay
in the saddle when I ride Paddy (Slettir for those who insist on Icelandic
names). Pretty Pila is such a sweetheart, and so brave. She hasn't
dumped
me and puts up with all my mixed cues and not so great seat--guess us older
females can really stick together g. The braver she is, the braver I am, and
it goes on and on, and transfers to the Padman.
I digress..feedback about the tights really appreciated, as Pila has
given me courage to ride Paddington/Slettir.

The best thing to do in determining breeches size is to go to a local tack
store and try some on. Breeches traditionally come in waist sizes, but of
course, your hip measurement comes into play too, so you just need to try
some to see about what size you need. These are wonderful breeches, the
deerskin is grippy and soft...but since they don't fit me well, they need to
go to a new home. These fit like size 30's but the full-seat deerskin does
take a little bit of the stretch away.

That may be the rule, but the breeches stretch and it doesn't always work
that simply. Personally, I don't like the breeches stretched as far as some
folks - not that it bothered me when I was young and lithe. I know with
the Irideon tights, I buy about two sizes larger than the charts, so as not
to show off my excess Girl Scout cookies.

Hi Janice,
I just love chocolate, sugar anything that is sweet. Ever since we started
importing Belgiun chocolates and selling them on our chocolate website I have
cut way back on eating chocolates.

I don't know if you have ever tried Belgiun chocolates, they are so very rich

Generally what I recommend to people is to measure a pair of yoga
pants you like or some other close fitting stretch pants and tell me
the lycra content of them, then we can usually get the fit right on.

My hips are 42 and my custom tight are 38 hips, my breeches I like
are a 40 hip (both measurements unstretched). I like them snug, but
not tight enough to read the underwear labels through. The fabric
content also makes a HUGE difference in fit and look. My tights I
won't wear out because I feel like a street walker, but the heavier
french terry and twill tights and breeches I have I wear out to supper
or wherever I go on my way to or from riding.
