I was looking at the old version of the website I am working on- It was
developed using asp.net... I was wondering if is possible to import the old
  content/structure into Joomla/Drupal/other.

Now that you are looking at PHP CMS , I would strongly recommend
typo3. especially securitywise it is a really strong contender and it
has a very wide range of plugins and very very extensible.

[ilugd] Need Help with Thunderbird/qmail

2008-05-02 Thread Niraj Sahay
Dear All,

I am using Thunderbird with pop3 settings. When I fetch mail from the
server (qmail) I leave a copy of the mail on the server so that I can
use through webmail system.
Now what I want is to know is there any way by which I can save a copy
of the SENT mail(from Thunderbird) on the server or some way for qmail
to save all SMTP traffic. Due to some constrain I can not use IMAP.
Is there any solution by which I can do this using POP3?

Thanks in advance.

See if you both were running windows there would be no argument.
Moral of the story. Linux is responsible for rising crime rate in Delhi.
Now guys please don't kill each other, the police already has their hands full.

I know my blabbering did not make any sense, but then even both of
your blabbering is not making any sense either.
From whatever I know about software, nothing is hackproof.
As for more secure or less secure, any software is as secure as the
last vunerability.
And yes plone is more hackproof than drupal, but I don't really buy
the argument that its the most hackproof among all CMS.

But if you keep your drupal installation patched, you will be safe.

Dear Prakhar,
In my personal opinion, I feel that ILUG-Delhi is primarily about
espousing the cause of FOSS. Despite the name, it is not particularly
focused on Linux, and even less so on any particular distribution.

However, I would strongly encourage you (and, also anyone else on this
list), to go ahead and take on the onus of organising an event along
these lines. Again, in my personal opinion, what might be acceptable
as an official ILUG-D event is an install-fest focused maybe on Ubuntu
Hardy, but with other distros (at least Debian, in my opinion) being
offered as an alternative. Preferably, find an NCR-area college to hold
this event at. Please email me off-list if you are willing to take this

Mandriva Install fest can also be a good idea. We are
thinking/discussing about it here in Pune.

Here is a mail from Mandriva team about Global Installfest in June.

--

Worldwide 2008 Mandriva Linux Spring Installfest

Mandriva rallies the community of Linux users in many cities across
the globe on June, the 14th, 2008.

In order to bring Linux to new users and present the new features and
technologies available in Mandriva Linux 2008 Spring, Mandriva is
mobilizing its network of Linux User Groups (LUGs) to coordinate a
worldwide Installfest on June, 14th , 2008.

Installations of Mandriva Linux One and Free will take place all
around the world, thanks to the Linux community. Major participating
locations will include the United States, China, Poland, Argentina and
France. Expert Mandriva Linux users are invited to assist beginners to
help them get started with the operating system. Participants will be
able to:

Get help on installing Mandriva Linux 2008 Spring on their laptop or
desktop free of charge.
View demonstrations of all that can be done with Mandriva Linux 2008 Spring.
Get answers to their questions.
Meet other Mandriva Linux users, and chat with their local community.

The installation is often the toughest step for a beginner willing to
adopt a new operating system. This is why Mandriva invites anyone
wishing to know Linux better to join the free install fests on June,
14th. These installfests are made possible thanks to the power of the
knowledge sharing spirit, one of the keystones of the open source
community.

Hi,
If you like web-based admin tools, use phpmyadmin. In a matter of 3 clicks, you
