I never forget to look at bottom of website to check Powered by button.
I found an intersting CMS.

This CMS might be useful in other projects too which need
brainstroming and ideas. (example voting new ideas to change social
system etc)


PS:  The intention of this post was How newbies can learn from
'powered by buttons'  . I remember, When I saw one website which was
very similar to wikipedia (2-3 year back) , I was surprised and I
thought they have same theme and look but I was able to notice
Powered by Mediawiki button on botton and I found that it was just
an CMS named a Mediawiki behind this. This way my learning on CMS
started (I came to know LAMP after that). I think it is always better
to put as much powered by button on sites - Example
powered by html5 powered by svg  powered by LAMP, apache
Powered by Pylons.

Just a thought.

You can gather the statistics (using 'top' in batch mode), parse them using 
perl or any other scripting language, send them over the network using SNMP 
(simple network management protocol) and make graphs using MRTG for the same.

Sorry, we do try to have meetings on weekends, but Karanbir was
only available Thu. or Fri. Let us maybe try to have more regular
LUG meetings, though this goes back to my earlier angst of how
many people are really interested in the LUG any more.

I install ubuntu in my system having dual boot with window vista but by
mistake i gave one 1GB space for ubuntu which is very small and i can't able
to install other software..so kindly share me how i get ride of this

I use OpenNMS for that ...along with some other tools for Capacity
Planning and Reporting with nice RRD graphs hooked into  Twiki page
with iframes having URi of OpenNMS.

You can use Nagios to capture and automatically graph that data for you.  
NRPE would help, failing which you can use Nagios-plugins to capture 
whatever data you need.  It's infinitely configurable so you shouldn't 
have any issues adapting it to your specific requirements.

I will tell you about my experience, some days ago after a gap of many years
I decide to be part of the meetings, so I was lookig for the information
about regular meetings update or schedule, unfortunately I was not able to
find any information (it may be my lack of effort to do effectively :)) at
any place. Thankfully I got this this email and got the information.

So before jumping to suggestions I would like to be in question mode

1. Who is managing the schedule and how meetings are being organized?
2. How we distribute the information about meetings? (Only List??)
3. Do we (I mean ilugd) have good presence over facebook, orkut, twitter or
any other social network?

Please let me know if I am being overactive :)

It would be good to have a list of features that your implementation
considers _must_have_ and, other features that are good to have.
Knowledge Management systems include a wide swathe of software and
tools. If you'd like to hone in on the appropriate one, it is best to
start with the features you are looking for.

Hi, 

I would like to have a very basic Functionalities like to place Documents/  
papers  with a Key word search facility which can be updated my all users.

I have a tool which will create a file in .chm with wonderful Key work search 
facility but it's a file base tool and that can be updated by a single person.

[ilugd] Need Help

Hello to all members
I am using AS2 on a serevr . i have configured raid 5 on that i have six hard 
disk in that server is there any command to know information abt hardisks (how 
many hard disk in use) pls help me..

If it's software RAID, you can use

  cat /proc/mdstat

to display the status.
