really a Great idea to have next ILUG-Delhi meeting at IIT Delhi. till now i have not been in any such meeting so i do not have much idea. you can contact me regarding the organizing the meeting. I need few parameters that what should you expect from venue? really this would encourage us a lot and at the same time we can discuss that in what way we can collaborate. Yes, I am totally agree with Kenneth, It is a thing of surprise that very few students knows and use Linux for their work. Here you cannot find Barcamp style Workshops and Now (tooo late) our institute have set-up Squid Proxies to improve the so called bad Hostel LANs. (main purpose of network is to use DC++) You cannot find a repo or local mirrors of Linux Distro. you can assume negligible roal of student as Linux sysadmin for hostels and Institute. Any idea why it has evolved that way? in the old days, elite institutions were also the citadels of idealism. Apparently not now. In fact the 'flame' is kept alight in IITM and B by professors who are left over from the idealism of the 80s and 90s - very few students. Possibly all students in elite institutions are already counting the obscenely high salaries they are going to get, so have no time or inclination for anything else.
