Logging or verbose doesn't work

2008-01-14 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Hy all,

I'm trying to get more verbose or more logging to solve an issue with TLS.
I got problem on my Freebsd 6.2.

If I set in my syslog.conf
local6.* /var/log/imapd.log
touch the imapd.log file and restart syslog, it doesn't write anything in it.

If i set the envirronement variable CYRUS_VERBOSE=5 in my loader.conf or
rc.conf or in /root/.profile , it also doesn't verbose more in my
/var/log/messages or /var/log/maillog

Can you help me please?

Automatic Sieve Script Subscription

2007-08-21 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Hy all,

Do you know if there's a way for any mailboxes to subscribe
automaticaly to a sieve script at creation of the mailbox?

I would like for all users to transfert SPAM tagged subject to
a SPAM folders, or mailling list mail to mailling list folder
without having to explain all users to write it with avelsieve.

I tought Autosieve patch was able to do it but it only
creates folders if it doesn't exist.

Thanks a lot.
Thanks again for your good work on Cyrus!

 Hi all,

I got a problem. I created mailboxes on cyrus with Websieve.
On My cyrus, Unixhiersep is set to YES.
I did it also on Websieve but it seems it doesn't respect it
(i don't know how to solve it too!).

Normal and working mailboxes looks like that :
 user/toto1/Sent (\HasNoChildren)

Websieve created mailboxes looks like that :
 user.toto25 (\HasNoChildren)

When i try to set Acl to delete it, I got such error :
 sam user.toto25 cyrus dcl
setaclmailbox: cyrus: dcl: System I/O error

??? Strange. How can I delete this mailboxes?
And maybe, how can i make Websieve mailboxes creation respect
 the unixhiersep I set?

Import Mailboxes from . to / unixhiersep

2007-08-08 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Hy all,

I plan to transfer my old Cyrus server (2.1) to a brand fresh
installed one on 2.3.8.

I have Imap Mailboxes on the old server with unixhiersep set
to no to the new one with unixhiersep set to yes (to enable my
new server to use composed login with dot).

For exemples, on the old server i get using lm :
user.toto (\HasChildren)
user.toto.Drafts (\HasNoChildren)
user.toto.Sent (\HasNoChildren)

On the new one, I wish to convert it to :
user/toto (\HasChildren)
user/toto/Drafts (\HasNoChildren)
user/toto/Sent (\HasNoChildren)

How can i reimport and convert the mailboxes?

Thanks a lot!

Ok, I should have tried before ask! :D

Simply done it with :

Create a new mailbox on the new server.
Transfert mail from /var/spool/imap/user/ to the new
server users mailbox.
As cyrus, run recontruct -r -f user/

Thanks for this helpful mailing list anyway! ;)

GSSAPI and replication problem

2007-07-27 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Cheers all,

I tested replication between two computers without problems on
FREEBSD 6.2 .
Now I tried to move the replica on a good server I got
problems with it...

Master cannot synchronise on the new replica server.

GSSAPI Error: Miscellaneous failure (see text) (No such file
or directory)
Jul 27 09:28:59 imaptest sync_client[13889]: couldn't
authenticate to backend server: generic failure

I have the same configuration in the two replica machines..
Just one things differ : When I telnet the old machine on 2005
I can't see GSSAPI (only SASL NTLM OTP DIGEST-MD5 CRAM-MD5).
I can't remember how i disable it when i installed it.
On the new server i have it... and i want to remove/disable
this method.
How to?

I use Saslauthd for authentication.

Thanks.

Quite strange that the permissons are broken out of the ubuntu box.

Hy all again!

I get more information.
In copying from my slave 2.3.8 the sync_client and sync_server
files to the master in 2.3.7 I am now able to run sync_client
-v -m user.toto2 on my master it works!

I think there is an incompatibility between the two modules
but i'm absolutely unable to read and understand any codes.

Now seems to work fine, also when i do a rolling sync!

Re: Cyrus replication problems

2007-02-28 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Thanks!

I remove the line
syncserver cmd=/usr/cyrus/bin/sync_server listen=csync
from my cyrus.conf then i try to sync manually, it doesn't
sync anything.

If i make as cyrus a sync_client -u -v i will see on the
replica :
Imapreplica syncserver[1185]: login: [10.1.45.3] cyrus
DIGEST-MD5 User logged in

So it seems to talk between my two servers. But nothing is
synchronize ...

But on my master, i get nothing on the var/log/messages ...

Sometimes and i do not know how, i get on the master :
Feb 27 17:58:02 imaptest sync_client[1109]: MAILBOXES received
BAD response: Missing required argument to Mailboxes
Feb 27 17:58:02 imaptest sync_client[1109]: Error in
do_mailboxes(): bailing out!
Feb 27 17:58:16 imaptest sync_client[]: MAILBOXES received
BAD response: Missing required argument to Mailboxes
Feb 27 17:58:16 imaptest sync_client[]: Error in
do_mailboxes(): bailing out!
Feb 27 17:58:22 imaptest sync_client[1112]: CREATE received
BAD response: Missing required argument to Create
Feb 27 17:58:22 imaptest sync_client[1112]: Error in
do_mailboxes(): bailing out!

I can't reproduce it everytimes...

What i would like to do is to synchronize the master on the
replica to use the replica as a backup server not High
availability. So do i need to make rolling (as i understood,
i think no! ?)

Do i must put parameters at sync_client -u -v or can it sync
every users and mailboxes (with -m) automatically?

Can someone helps me please?

Thanks a lot!

You must start sync_client over different script AFTER
starting cyrus
 imapd server.

Cyrus replication problems

2007-02-26 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Hy all,

I get problems with replication.
Once I enable replication on my imapd.conf with that options:

# SYNC PARAMETERS
sync_log: 1
sync_password: cyrus
sync_host: imapreplica
sync_realm: mydomain.com
sync_authname: cyrus
sync_machineid: 1
sync_repeat_interval: 3

Here is my full imapd.conf :

configdirectory: /var/imap
partition-default: /var/spool/imap
allowplaintext: yes
admins: cyrus
reject8bit: no
sieveusehomedir: false
sievedir: /var/imap/sieve
sasl_pwcheck_method: saslauthd
tls_cert_file: /usr/local/etc/imaptest.cer
tls_key_file: /usr/local/etc/imaptest.pem
tls_ca_file: /usr/local/etc/ca.ca
sync_log: 1
sync_password: cyrus
sync_host: imapreplica
sync_realm: netasq.com
sync_authname: cyrus
sync_machineid: 1
sync_repeat_interval: 3

I'm not able anymore to make as cyrus user a cyradm localhost
I get :
cyradm: cannot connect to server

If i remove those lines in imapd.conf it works.

The second problems is that replication doesn't works at all.
I can on my first server make an :
imtest -u cyrus -a cyrus -t -m PLAIN imapreplica
and authenticate.

If i run sync_client -u -v , i get :
Can not connect to server 'imapreplica', retrying in 15 seconds

Is there someone else who can help me please?

Thanks,
Nicolas.

2007-02-16 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Hy all,

I'm still trying to manage and configure authorization using
ldap groups without success on cyrus 2.3.7 ... :(

sasl authentication works fine with ldap and saslauthd.

I've changed my groups on ldap to be easily configurated :

dn: cn=mongroupe,ou=groups,o=mydomain,dc=fr
objectClass: top
objectClass: groupOfNames
description: Test
cn: mongroupe
member: uid=toto1
member: uid=toto2

in my imapd.conf :
If i use only it :
sasl_pwcheck_method: saslauthd

Authentication works.

If I add it for authorization :

auth_mech: pts
pts_module: ldap
ldap_sasl: 1
ldap_uri: ldap.mydomain.com
ldap_mech: PLAIN DIGEST-MD5 CRAM-MD5 LOGIN
ldap_base: o=mydomain,dc=fr
ldap_group_base: ou=groups,o=mydomain,dc=fr
ldap_group_filter: cn=%U
ldap_member_filter: uid=%U
ldap_group_scope: sub
ldap_member_method: filter

I get problem to open cyradm :

Feb 16 11:48:48 imaptest perl: GSSAPI Error: Miscellaneous

Feb 16 11:48:50 imaptest imap[11070]: DBERROR db4:

saslauthd is not involved here. For what you want there are
at least 2 ways:
 1) You can use nss_ldap to map LDAP groups to Unix groups
which can then
be used by a group:name ACL. Please note that you may need
some way of
group caching for large groups, as those lookups are
expensive on the LDAP
side. For it you could use nss_db or the patches I use
available here

http://www.invoca.ch/pub/packages/cyrus-imapd/scripts/groupcache/.

 2) As you mentioned, pts with it's ldap support should also
work (I have
never used it so I can't tell how exactly it works).

Search for plus addressing. E.g. if you're using Postfix
you can put:

 maillist +yourSharedFolder

 ... in virtual_alias.

Make sure you've given anonymous p rights so that delivery
can take place.

Cyrus Imapd shared folders question

2007-01-29 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]

I m trying to configure shared folders on my cyrus imap server
using for examples on cyradm :
cm maillinglist
sam maillinglist toto read

My user toto is able to subscride on it and read mail and also
put mails in it if i put correct rights on it.

My question is : is there a way to be able to send mail to
[EMAIL PROTECTED] directly and then mail be stored on this

relay=cyrus, delay=0, status=bounced (data format error.
Command output: maillist: Mailbox does not exist )

Of course this is not a mailbox... (and not created like cm
user.toto) .

But is there a way to consider this shared folders as a mailbox?

Thanks

cyrus rehash script: from basic to full hashing scheme

2006-11-06 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]
I work at a college where we have about 4500 student mail accounts. Our
Xserve (Tiger 10.4.7) is bound to Active Directory where we're using the
student id # as the username which always begins with a 0 or 1. This causes
the basic hashing scheme to put the /var/imap/___ files in subfolder q of
the respective directory (user, quota, ...). We are not using virtual
domains. I would like to rehash to the full hashing scheme using the rehash
script (/usr/bin/cyrus/tools/rehash). I'm neither a bash nor perl expert,
but it appears the rehash script is not compatible with case INsensitive
file systems (like our Mac OS Extended - Journaled). I've made some changes
to the script's move_users subprocedure to create new dirs beginning with
. (so it wouldn't remove valid dirs) and then after hashing rename all
those . dirs back to their corresponding letters--just like the
move_quotas and move_sieve subprocedures do. I'm hesitant to run my changes
since there is no easy undo if it doesn't work. (Yes, I know I need a test
box.) If any are interested in seeing my modified rehash script, let me
know. (I've also added a bunch of print statements for debugging.)

Also, I haven't found much documentation on the rehash script. I know I'm
supposed to
1. stop mail services

possible cyrus problems

2006-07-12 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Hi ,

I currently have 2 email systems which utilize exactly the same
versions of Cyrus
which i currently have as 2.2.3, the systems are running on SLES9 in
2 different offices.

thru put is not that high, possibly several hundred emails a day
user base is about 15 people. (small office)

However one of the servers keeps loosing all the email content in
the shared folders.

but it is only doing it say once a month and 1 folder at a time.
I am convinced that one of the users is deleting the contents of the
shared folders.

The director is going mad , because the staff are saying that they
did not delete the emails, so therefore it must be the software or
the hardware problem right?

I have checked the system , and neither the disk of the file system
is failing, nor is there any errors in any log.

How do I track down where the emails are going?

Steve

Cyrus IMAP / SASL / LDAP virtual domain authentication

2006-04-18 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Hello,

I'm trying to set up Cyrus IMAP for virtual domains and authenticating
users in LDAP.

I have the basic configuration working but I have a problem that for
[EMAIL PROTECTED] the authentication sent to LDAP is just for myuser.
I believe this is down to SASL defaulting the ldap filter to myuser
instead of [EMAIL PROTECTED].

I can fix this by adding ldap_filter: [EMAIL PROTECTED] in saslauthd.conf
and this
works for fully qualified names like [EMAIL PROTECTED] but for simple
users like cyrus this does not work as the authentication is then
performed like cyrus@.

I need SASL to just authenticate with the name supplied by the user,
verbatim.

Can someone please offer guidance of how this can be achieved ?

Thanks,
John

I currently use kolab which uses cyrus/postfix/ldap.

They have a pretty good overview on their wiki in maintence section.

I'd start there... And post specific questions to the list.

trouble on syslog_facility

2005-05-20 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]
hi list,

does cyrus log correctly?
like said in the docs, i have in config.log
#define SYSLOG_FACILITY LOG_LOCAL6
editing /etc/syslog.conf:
local6.*-/srv/log/imapd.log
after restarting syslogd and master, i still have all entries going to /var/
log/messages. why that?
i have only defaults in the cyrus' .confs yet, and besides that, it works fine
-rw---1 root root0 May 20 12:48 /srv/log/imapd.log

i'd appreciate any idea
chris

Re: Funding Cyrus High Availability

2004-09-16 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Hello All,

I would be willing to pay for this function. Though I am just a startup, and
have very little capital. Most I could prolly do is $100 to $200. Not much.
My fear, which maybe the fear of others is the risk of putting money in, but
there not being enough support by others to reach the cash goal. Thus the
project never is done. What happens in that case ?

Thanks,

Basically people can make paypal donations to fund certain features.
For something like the high availability support, Im guessing that ALOT
of people would donate small to large amounts of cash to see this
functionality implemented ( i certainly would).

 What do you all think?

Re: Deleting mails from the command line?

2004-08-19 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Paul,

Kinda of topic here. Saw in your email youa re using imapsync, to import your
emails. Was curious about the --exclude statement, and if you are using it. I
am migrating from an Exchange 5.5 server, and I do not need the exchange
folders (i.e. Calendar, Journal, etc). Do you know of any way to use imapsync
and exclude more than one folder ?

Thanks,

 Hi everyone,

On a new cyrus installation, we've just started importing lots of mail
(imapsync) and it turns out that there are quite a few viruses (virii?)
in there. I could easily tell my virus-scanner to delete each infected
mail in /var/spool/imap/ but I'm quite sure that Cyrus will then
consider these mailboxes as being corrupt.

What would be a proper way to delete these emails, preferably from the
command line or perl so I can script the whole thing and get rid of all
 the NetSky's and Sober's ?

Hello All,

I have:
cyrus-imapd-2.2.3
cyrus-sasl-2.1.14
openldap-2.1.26

sasl is set to use ldap. My sasl ldap conf file follows:
ldap_servers: ldap://localhost
ldap_bind_dn: cn=cyrus,ou=users,dc=internal,dc=root
ldap_bind_pw: neener
ldap_version: 3
ldap_timeout: 10
ldap_time_limit:10
ldap_scope: sub
ldap_search_base: dc=root
ldap_auth_method: bind
ldap_filter:((dc:dn:=%d)(mail=%U))
ldap_password_attr: userPassword

My imapd.conf follows:
admins: cyrus
hashimapspool: yes
allowanonymouslogin:no
allowplaintext: yes
lmtp_allowplaintext:yes
lmtp_downcase_rcpt: yes
virtdomains:yes
defaultdomain: internal
altnamespace: yes
sasl_pwcheck_method:saslauthd
sasl_mech_list: PLAIN LOGIN

when using imtest like imtest -a [EMAIL PROTECTED] 127.0.0.1, I can
authenticate fine. Also imtest -a [EMAIL PROTECTED] 127.0.0.1, works too. But
imtest -a cyrus 127.0.0.1, doesn't work. Shouldn't the defaultdomain value
be appended when authenticating via sasl ? And would login via cyrus be a
global admin, and not just an admin for the internal domain ?

Thanks,
  Steven

I recommend you upgrade to 2.1.18. Lots of fixes.
Ok will update.

No, it may append reverse lookup of 127.0.0.1 if it is a fqdn. See 'man
 imapd.conf' for more on virtdomains.
If it was appending the fqdn, would I see it in my logs? I see saslauthd, say
'Domain not available'. So shouldn't it be appending something, either my
defaultdomain or my FQDN ? You can also see the ldapsearch sees the %d in the
ldap search filter as undefined.

Still getting the same results:

I'm at a loss at to what the problem is. Right now, im trying to narrow it
down as much as I can. I have a few other tests i'm going to be performing
today and tomorrow in hopes of finding more information.
Just weird that if I compile it with 'skiplist' that is there the problems
begin. If I dont, everything works out fine.

If anyone has any suggestions or recommendations, I do appreciate it.

I find this very odd and extremely frustrating...

Anyone have any ideas what is going on and what the problem is?
I appreciate the help.

Questions after installing cyrus on a FreeBSD box

2004-01-11 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Hello everyone.

I was doing some testing with cyrus at home this weekend on a FreeBSD 4.9
system. I built cyrus out of the ports tree and specifed a few options on
the command line. However, i've run into a few things I cant quite seem to
figure out exactly and was hoping to get some help here.

Did a fresh, install of FreeBSD 4.9. CVSUP my ports and source tree.

After that, I did the following:

Went to /usr/ports/mail/cyrus-imapd2

I edited the make file and changed the USE_BDB_VER from
USE_BDB_VER= 3
to
USE_BDB_VER=41
(Not sure if I had to, but was testing)

I then specified the following options on the command line, in the
cyrus-imapd2 port:

make -DWITH_DB_VER=41 -DWITH_MURDER=yes install clean

added a user and cyradm user to the sasldb2 database...

Now when I run a imtest, to see if cyrus is working, I get the following
errors in my auth.log:

centralcore imapd[188]: OTP unavailable because can't read/write key
database /etc/opiekeys: No such file or directory
centralcore imapd[188]: no user in db

The first line, I as able to fix. There was not a /etc/opiekeys file. So I
created one and made cyrus the owner. That one went away.

But the second one repeats over and over when I test with imtest.
/usr/local/bin/imtest -m login -a testuser localhost

Anyone have any idea's on what that is? Why is it popping up?
What is the fix for it?

I've been beating my head around tonight, trying to figure it out, but cant
seem to put a finger on it.

Any and all help is appreciated.

Thanks.

Jason

delivery to subfolders working??

2003-03-05 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]
hi,

i'm wondering, if the deliver directly intoo subfolder feature of
cyrus-imapd is really working??

on my system i've installed cyrus-sasl-2.1.12 and cyrus-imapd-2.1.12
together with sendmail-8.12.8.

i have added the FEATURE(`preserve_local_plus_detail') to sendmail.mc.
if i send a mail maybe: [EMAIL PROTECTED] the mail is accepted and
delivered, but it is shown up in the inbox and not in the subfolder.

is there something missing (a special rule in the sendmail.mc, or
something else) ???

i found no information in the net, so i ask this question here.

Thanks in advance
regards
joerg

Have you given 'anyone' the 'p' permission on the submailbox?

thans for the hint. it is working fine..
but i think this should be mentioned somwhere in the docs, like this:
NOTE: this feature is only working if the corresponding folder has set the
'p' flag for id 'anyone', otherwise the mail will be delivered to 'inbox'
of the user.

or did i only miss this part of the docs???

In imapd.conf you can set a limit on the number of spawned connection.

how?

Refusing on load average I think is always a strange idea as load avg.
is not a good basis for how loaded a machine is.

why?

Subject: Problem to deliver message to Cyrus by Procmail

 Hello all,

I am setting up a mail system of Sendmail + Procmail + Cyrus. And I am
having Sendmail and Cyrus to authenticate against my sasldb. So that
whenever email goes into the system, procmail will filter every messages
against my recipe and then will use deliver to put the messages into the
corresponding folder in /var/spool/imap/user.

My system setting is as follows,

 OS : Suse 7.3 (Kernl 2.4.10)
 Cyrus : 2.0.16
 Sendmail : 8.11.6
 Procmail : 3.15.1
 SASLDB : 1.5.24

I am using the sendmail.cf that comes with the rpm of Sendmail from Suse.
The local mailer is specified in the sendmail.cf as

 Mlocal, P=/usr/bin/procmail, F=lsDFMAw5:/|@qSPfhn9,
S=EnvFromL/HdrFromL$
 T=DNS/RFC822/X-Unix,
 A=procmail -Y -a $h -d $u
 Mprog, P=/usr/sbin/smrsh, F=lsDFMoqeu9, S=EnvFromL/HdrFromL,
R=EnvToL/$
 T=X-Unix/X-Unix/X-Unix,
 A=smrsh -c $u

 Mcyrus, P=[IPC], F=lsDFMnqA5@/:|SmXz, E=\r\n,
 S=EnvFromL, R=EnvToL/HdrToL, T=DNS/RFC822/X-Unix,
 A=FILE /var/imap/socket/lmtp

And my recipe is as follows,

 :0:
 * ^From.*
 | /usr/cyrus/bin/deliver -e -a $LOGNAME -m user.$LOGNAME

I have already changed the permission of the recipient's folder by running
sam user anyone p in cyradm.

Indeed, I found that the messages cannot get into the user's folder but
the size of the cyrus.cache will grow each time.

Please kindly advise on what I might have done wrong.

 Many thanks.

 Ronnie

RE: Re: SuSE 7.3, IMAP 2.1.3, SASL 2.1.2 - authentication problem

2002-04-29 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Scott,

Thanks for the reply. I have tried again to compile SASL and IMAP
again, since I suspect it is something related to the use of Berkeley
DB4.0

Below please find the log I encountered in /var/log/messages when I
try to run cyradm -u cyrus localhost.

Some questions to follow..

1. Should IMAP be using Berkeley db4.0 or db3.x? Since I find it is
looking for db3 all the times, is it normal?
2. Is it necessary to create /var/imap/db by hand? If so, what are the
files I should copy over?

thanks again...

password is, keep them as plaintext and use plaintext validation. Since
I think this will be the most simple setup.

And one more question is, what should I consider when I am using
Sendmail to authenticate against the sasldb? Will plaintext work with
Sendmail?

Many thanks again.

Mmmh, maybe my post was a littly fast - I was sure I saw it flying around
somewhere. However, you may begin with

  http://www.surf.org.uk/downloads/HIERSEP-r2.patch

but that seems to apply to 2.0.15 and I don't know its impact upon 2.0.16.
But might be worth a try.

Re: cyrus and openldap

2002-02-22 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]

1. read through the cyrus-utils.sf.net / faq pages on death by 11 and
the different ldap entries.

2. I think it is better to go directly via sasl to ldap. To do this,
you'll need the different sasl-ldap patches.

3. Consider storing the ldap passwords in sasldb. Then you can use cyrus
in it's normal setup with sasldb.

I have done a similar configuration with cyrus 2.0.16 and openldap. The
users are stored in a ldap directory. Cyrus uses pam (via sasl) for user
authentication. To distinguish between POP3 and IMAP users i have
configured different configs for /etc/pam.d/imap and /etc/pam.d/pop.
All users may use POP3. Only users with a ldap-attribute imap: y are
allowed to use the imap server. That means that all users can connect to
the imap-server, but only users with the specified ldap-attribute can
login to imap.

Re: pop3 question

2002-02-20 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]

There are many ways to do this:

1. Set the users in two different user databases, f.x. one in ldap and
one in sasldb and use the
-C config option in the cyrus.conf file for each service to set things
right.

2. If I do not remember wrongly, there's a search-parameter config
option for the sasl-ldap patch. Use this and then have an extra ldap
option mailaccess:(pop3|imap) that you use to decide what type of access
the user hsould have. in the searchparameter you then set this correct
option.

Again you'll have two different config files for pop3 and imap, but
you'll have one userdb.

just my 0.02 cents.

This is not something cyrus does by default you would have change some
code. If they have static IP addresses you could just firewall people
out , but this is probably not true. You could run 2 versions of cyrus
on the same box one for POP and one for IMAP on separate IPs (to allow
IMAP users to use POP).

POP/IMAP does not support virtual hosts in general (Has anything
ever been done about this ?? ) well not like http.

however one of the patches now in cyrus is
UNIX hierarchy convention this allows people to use .`s in namespace
(read docs in src for more info). Which means you can create
users like simon_surf.org.uk which is the closest to Virtual hosting
you can do. ( an @ can be used my patching LMTPD)

Another thing that could be done is to have a cyrus server per domain
(requires IP per domain) by using the -C flag to choose different config
files.

Re: script to create users

2002-02-19 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Hi,

You got a few options:
1. ldap - all the different ldap admin tools (www.open-it.org, search
the archives for general etc.)
2. phpcyradm (for adding mailboxes)

Remember that cyrus makes a distinction between beeing authorized and
having a mialbox. I.e. if you use ldap, you'll have to add the ldap user
AND the mailbox.

What I would really like is something where I could write my own script to
create users and set passwords - preferably in PHP. That way I can have a
sign-up process on a website.

Most of the documentation for cyrus seems to revolve around using sasldb for
authentication, I was wondering whether to use pam since I have seen a
php_pam library.
My ideal solution would be to have a MySQL database containing all user
information for cyrus - does anyone know if there's any documentation
explaining how to set this up? Am I on the right track if I use pam_php
would that allow me to use MySQL database to store user information.
How would cyrus know that the user information is in a MySQL database?

Thank you,
