Israeli TV mocks Christianity! Thu, 19 Feb 2009 Christian and Muslim leaders have called on Pope Benedict XVI to cancel his trip to Israel after an Israeli TV channel aired a sacrilegious show. The TV show hosted by comedian Lior Shlein contained blasphemous material against Jesus and Virgin Mary. Religious leaders denounced Shlein as Christian lawyers mulled over taking legal steps against the comedian and Channel 10. In a letter to lawyers, Shlein has pledged to publicly apologize for the show. Christian leaders said the show was hurtful and humiliating to Christianity. Pope Benedict XVI is scheduled to visit Israel in May amid worsening ties between Tel Aviv and the Vatican. 17 On the Obligation to obey the judgement of Allah, what is said by those who are summoned to that, and commanding the right and forbidding the wrong Allah Almighty says, No, by your Lord, they are not believers until they make you their judge in the disputes that break out between them, and then find no resistance within themselves to what you decide and submit themselves completely, (4:64; H4:65) and the Almighty says, The reply of the believers when they are summoned to Allah and His Messenger so that he can judge between them, is to say, 'We hear and we obey.' They are the one who are successful. (W24:49; H24:51) 168. Abu Hurayra who said, When this verse: 'Everything in the heavens and everything in the earth belongs to Allah. Whether you divulge what is in yourselves or keep it hidden, Allah will still call you to account for it,' (2:283) came down on the Messenger of Allah, (PBUH), it was hard for the Companions of the Messenger of Allah to bear. So they went to the Messenger of Allah, and knelt and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, we have been obligated to do actions of which we are capable the prayer, jihad, fasting and sadaqa. Now this ayat has been sent down on you and we are not capable of bearing it.' The Messenger of Allah, (PBUH), said, 'Do you want to say as the people of the two Books before you said, We hear and rebel? Rather say, We hear and obey. Your forgiveness, our Lord, and the return is to You.' When the people recited it and their tongues obeyed, Allah Almighty sent down after it, 'The Messenger believes in what has been sent down to him from his Lord, and so do the believers. Each one believes in Allah and His angels and His Books and His Messengers, We do not differentiate between any of his Messengers. They say: We hear and we obey. Forgive us, our Lord! You are our journey's end.' When they did that, Allah Almighty abrogated it and Allah, the Mighty and Exalted, sent down, 'Allah does not impose on any self any more than it can stand. For it is what it has earned; against it is what it has warranted. Our Lord, do not take us to task if we forget or make a mistake! Our Lord, do not place on us a load like the one You placed on those before us! Our Lord, do not place on us a load which we have not the strength to bear! And pardon us; and forgive us; and have mercy on us. You are our Master so help us against the people of the rejectors.' He said, 'Yes.' [Muslim]

Medication should not be taken for trivial sicknesses. Such sicknesses could be
treated by changing one's diet, walking about, change in environment, etc. For
example, if you have a headache on account of being in hot air, sit in a place
where there is a cool breeze.
If your stomach is feeling heavy on account of eating, skip one or two meals.
If your head is paining on account of lack of sleep, then sleep. If you are
feeling lazy on account of excessive sleep, then sleep less.
If you are engaged in excessive mental work and this resulted in dryness in
your brain, reduce your work load and give the brain a rest.
When such measures do not help, then opt for medication.

Bismillah [IslamCity] Russia Now 'Top Heroin Consumer'
Victor Ivanov, head of the Russian anti-narcotics service, has made some extraordinary comments - which amount to an admission that the country is experiencing a devastating heroin epidemic. While conceding to the press that Russia is now the world's absolute leader in the opiate trade and the number one heroin consumer, Ivanov also claimed that Drug trafficking has become a key negative factor for demography and a blow to our nation's gene pool or even a challenge to Russia's civilisation. Russia is now lining up behind calls for an aerial fumigation campaign in Afghanistan, bad news for Afghan farmers. Yet it is also a challenge to the U.S., many of whose allies in Afghanistan fund their counter-insurgency operations via the drug trade. In pictures: Battling heroin in Russia Russia says it has become the world's biggest consumer of heroin. The head of Russia's anti-narcotics service, Victor Ivanov, said that seizures of Afghan heroin were up 70%. Speaking ahead of a meeting in Vienna of the United Nations Commission on Narcotic Drugs, he called on the UN to do more to fight the problem. Mr Ivanov, a former KGB officer and senior Kremlin official, said the flood of the drug from Afghanistan posed a threat to Russia's national security. He painted a grim picture, says the BBC's James Rodgers in Moscow. He said the drug was partly to blame for rising crime and a fall in Russia's population. Afghanistan is thought to be the source of 93% of the world's heroin In recent years Russia has not just become massively hooked on Afghan opiates, it has also become the world's absolute leader in the opiate trade and the number one heroin consumer, he said in a report made available to reporters. Drug trafficking has become a key negative factor for demography and a blow to our nation's gene pool... [and] a challenge to Russia's civilisation. The Russian health ministry says Russia has up to 2.5 million drug addicts out of a population of some 140 million, most of them aged between 18 and 39. Mr Ivanov did not give details about which country Russia was thought to have displaced as the main heroin consumer. The CND's World Drugs Report for 2008 reported that China was estimated to have about 2.3 million users of opiates, though how many of those used heroin was unclear. War factor Mr Ivanov said that in the first two months of this year, Russia had seized 400kg (880lb) of heroin - a 70% increase on the same period last year. He said it was time for the international community to take action against Afghan narcotics by spraying poppies and offering farmers incentives to grow other crops. Afghanistan is estimated to produce 93% of the world's heroin. While not directly blaming the US-led coalition in Afghanistan for the worsening problem, Mr Ivanov said that Afghan farmers had used the tense military and political situation to plant opium poppies. He also said patrolling the 7,000-km (4,375-mile) border with Kazakhstan, through which drugs arrive, was an impossible job.

By Amaresh Misra Right now, a new kind of a battle is going on in India. For the first time since Independence, Muslims of a whole region right in India's heartland-the district of Azamgarh in Poorvanchal (East Uttar Pradesh)-have launched an Independent mass movement. Till date, from its own resources, the Ulema Council, an umbrella organization of leading Muslim clerics of the district, has succeeded in bringing hundreds and thousands of ordinary Muslims to Delhi, and then Lucknow in protest rallies. Several of the young boys and men from middle, lower and working classes arrived in trains booked in advance by the Ulema Council. For the first time in the history of mass movements in India, railways were used as a means and a mode of protest. The issues the protestors raised included a judicial enquiry into the Batala House encounter, an end to Police atrocities and terror, picking of boys without warrants by the UP-ATS from villages of the district, the maligning of boys from a whole district as terrorists, and the refusal of `civilized' citizens in Mumbai and Delhi to give houses on rent to students and residents of Azamgarh. It is difficult to conceive that any other district of India would have risen en masse on these issues-in Azamgarh, till October 2008, just a month after the Batala House encounter, and two months after Abu Bashar, the main accused in the July 26thAhmedabad Blasts was picked up from the Sarai Meer village, the situation was so bad that any ATS man in plainclothes could enter a village and harass and torture Muslims at will. Azamgarhis were practically lynched in Delhi by blood thirsty fascist crowds on at least two occasions. Formed in September 2008, the Ulema Council fought back and in a very short time, by December 2008, the tide began to turn. The aggressive stance taken by the Ulema Council leaders forced the local Police and the ATS to put a stop to the open beating and harassment of Muslim youth. At several places, where the ATS arrived to take boys into custody, villagers came out in hordes-the ATS had to retreat. The issue against police atrocities became one of self-respect and human dignity. Poorvanchal is the area where the BJP-VHP-RSS saffron brigade has also unleashed a reign of anti-Muslim terror. Presenting a deadly mixture of Hindutva politics and mafia activities under police protection, Adityanath and his son Yoginath, the BJP MP from Gorakhpur, are virtually a law unto their own. Recently, they even had the gumption to kill a Muslim Police Inspector in broad daylight. After the Batala House encounter, BJP leaders of Azamgarh were talking openly about turning Azamgarh into another Gorakhpur or even Gujarat. In fact, the BJP and VHP leaders gave a slogan-Azamgarh shuruaat karega, UP Gujarat banega. To counter this, the Ulema Council gave the slogan:Azamgarh shuruaat karega, poora Bharat swarg banega. This basic spirit of Muslim led Indian secular nationalism, in which instead of a Hindu-Muslim or even a police Vs Muslim fight the Azamgarh battle has become part of the larger war for secularism in India, has surprised armchair liberals-unlike other such initiatives undertaken by other social forces, the Azamgarh phenomenon has some very specific features. For one, it is in tune with the post 26/11 mood of national secular unity and decline of communal feeling. It has nothing to do with Muslim League type exclusive Muslim assertion. It includes a vast majority of Pasis, Chamars, Rajbhars, Musahars and Nonias, other Most Backward Hindu Castes and poorer sections from amongst the upper castes, who too have borne the brunt of police and mafia-Hindutva atrocities. Secondly, this movement has deep roots in Azamgarh's history. In 1857, this was the district which provided the British with one of the fiercest resistance in Eastern India. Most of the sepoys of the East India Company Bengal Army came from Avadh and Poorvanchal (east UP). An entire infantry regiment, the 17th BNI, which remained in the frontline during the battles in Avadh and Lucknow, was made up of Muslims, Rajputs and Yadavs of Azamgarh. The Pulwar Rajputs of Azamgarh and Muslims of the Belariagunj, Sarai Meer and Beni Para (the upsurge areas of the current movement) are mentioned in British records as one of the toughest anti-colonial resistance fighters. During the 1942 Quit India movement, one of the first attacks on Police stations and Kotwalis were reported from Azamgarh. One by one, all districts of Poorvanchal followed Azamgarh's lead-soon the entire region from Jaunpur to Ballia was out of British hands, the police fleeing almost to a man. In the post-Independence era, one of the first anti-Congress opposition party MLA was elected from Azamgarh. In the 1960s, when the notion of independent Muslim assertion was unheard of, Azamgarh was home to Muslim Majlis, a secular movement of Dalit-backward-Muslim elements started by Dr. Faridi of Lucknow. Dear questioner, thanks for contacting us, and we earnestly implore Allah to increase your knowledge and guide you to the best. There is no specific ritual act to be observed on 12 Rabi`ul- Awwal in particular. Also, fasting on that day has no special virtue. The best way to worship Allah, attain His Pleasure and show love and adherence to His Message is to follow in the Prophet's footsteps. Responding to the question, Sheikh `Atiyyah Saqr, former head of Al-Azhar Fatwa Committee, states the following: Observing voluntary fasting is a commendable act of worship. It is not restricted to specific times or occasions. However, there are some days on which fasting is haram (prohibited) such as the days of the `Eids (1 Shawwal and 10 Dhul-Hijjah); the days of tashreek (11th, 12th, and 13th of Dhul-Hijjah); and the day of doubt (the last day of Sha`ban), though this latter is controversial among scholars. There are also some days on which fasting is makruh (disliked) such as fasting Friday alone or Saturday alone. Moreover, there are some specific days on which fasting is commendable. These are the days of Muharram, days of the four sacred months (Muharram, Rajab, Dul-Qi`dah and Dhul-Hijjah), the day of `Arafah (9 Dhul-Hijjah), the day of `Ashurah (10 Muharram), Monday and Thursday every week, three days (13, 14 and 15) of every lunar month, the six commendable days of Shawwal, and most days of Sha`ban, as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to do so. That is to say, the Prophet's birthday on 12 Rabi` Awwal, as people used to celebrate it, is not among the days on which fasting is commendable (nor among the days on which fasting is forbidden). Nevertheless, it is by no means commendable to fast on 12 Rabi` Awwal in celebration of the Prophet's birthday. This is because it is not completely agreed that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was born on that day. Rather, some people say that he (peace and blessings be upon him) was born on 9 Rabi`ul- Awwal, and there are still different views in this regard. On the other hand, fasting on the Prophet's birthday is rendered blameworthy if it occurs on a day such as Friday because it is blameworthy to intend to fast on Friday only. It is reported in Al-Bukhari and Muslim that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade fasting on Friday alone; he said: None of you should fast on Friday unless he fasts a day before or after it. This is the ruling of fasting on the Prophet's birthday every year. However, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to fast on Monday weekly. He was so keen on it for two reasons. The first reason is that people's account of deeds are submitted to Allah Almighty on Mondays and Thursdays. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) preferred that his fasting on those days be included in his account of deeds when offered before Allah (as reported and verified by At-Tirmidhi). The second reason for the Prophet's keenness on fasting on Mondays is that Monday was the day on which the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was born and also the day on which he was sent as a Messenger to the worlds (as reported by Muslim). So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to fast on that day to express gratitude to Allah Almighty for giving him life and selecting him as a Prophet. Hence, if Muslims would like to show gratitude to Allah Almighty for the Prophet's birth and for sending him to guide them to the straight path, then they can perform any voluntary acts of worship such as prayer, charity, fasting or whatsoever. So, there is no specific time to offer supererogatory acts of worship. However, fasting on Mondays is preferable, following in the Prophet's footsteps. In conclusion, there are no special acts of worship to be observed on 12 Rabi`ul- Awwal particularly, and fasting on that day has no extra virtue than fasting on any other day. Generally, the best way to worship Allah, attain His pleasure, and show love and adherence to His Message is to follow in the Prophet's footsteps. One of the cases which is known by very few Muslims is the case of Rohingya Muslims who live in the Arakan region of Burma. They have been living in Burma since approximately 670CE. They cannot marry without the permission of the Burmese military and the permit for marriage cost huge amount which most can't afford. 4. They are forced to work free to build roads and buildings for the Burmese army. 6. Out of 3.5 million nearly have had to flee the country, 200, 000 are currently living as refugees in Bangladesh. 7. Even when they flee their inhumane conditions in Burma they are then sent back or tortured by the Thai regime. The charges are Crime against Humanity The facts : During the economical siege on Iraq which went on for 11 years , there were 40 importers and traders , in food-stuffs and general-nutrition-raw-materials , who were found guilty of usurpation and artificially inflating the prices and attempting to impose a price monopoly. Those 40 criminal-persons were lawfully executed after a Martial-Court has found them guilty. At that time , Mr. Tarek Aziz was the foreign-Minister of the republic of Iraq Two questions : 1- how do you punish usurpers (in food stuff ) during a siege and when Martial-Law is applied. ?? 2- What is the relation between a Foreign-Minister and some usurpers being punished by a legal Court.. ?? If there was a Crime against Humanity then those 40 thieves would have committed it and not Mr. Tarek Aziz and not even the Court that found them guilty . Invading Iraq was done under false pretext and today's Courts of Baghdad are even worse than false. That same Court has found President Saddam guilty of lawfully-executing those who once tried to assassinate him. And the bad-joke is that this Baghdad-Court used the term Crime against Humanity when there was no Crime and while this Court knows not any Humanity , which starts usualy with , sincerity , honesty.and legality. ...all absent from that Court.
